By dice do you mean bitcoin dice games (which aren't dice but just have dice graphics) or do you mean craps (which is a real dice game)?

Craps is by far the best game out there!

And the best part is that craps have the lowest house edge (0.60% according to this source) -> http://www.fastodds.com/game_odds/

703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I can earn from the Signature campaign? on: August 25, 2015, 12:29:50 AM
Hello to all

I am newbie here guys, can you tells me how to earn from Signature Compaign, hope you guys help me...thanks

Can we close this thread? This guy, the OP made one post and one post only. He's probably a senior member in the forum running a test to see how many of us with signature campaigns would latch on and give our "advice".

This guy has it wrong...

What a newbie , he Just opened this thread on April 11, 2015, and spammed " How I can earn from the Signature campaign?" and never been online from "April 18, 2015" , but yet People are suggesting the same and same methods to him what previous said.

I guess he no longer needs advice.

It's not "what a newbie", it's "what a bunch of trolls" the rest of us are who have just replied without reading the original post and realizing that this guy, months later, has never made another post. We're a bunch of suckers...this is what makes signature campaign folks the but of jokes by people that don't engage in signature campaigns!

Let's stop bullshitting everyone, literally.
704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell are people still selling at these prices? on: August 24, 2015, 11:11:00 PM
Mass psychology -- it keeps amazing me what ridiculous decisions it can cause people to make.

This and...

there is an epic amount of FUD floating around block size limit, a potential split in bitcoin, sell now b4 it's too late would seem to reasonable...

this.

I think the smart money is buying BTC, but there's just more "dumb money" moving out of it. For those that think of BTC as "just another investment class" its plausible that if they see stocks dropping they may feel that Bitcoin will be suffering the same fate. After a few people sell off and the price dips it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you're bullish on Bitcoin...now's a great time to average down on your cost of bitcoin. If you're bullish on the major companies of the world still being able to deliver their goods and services to consumers...now's a great time to average down on your cost of stocks!
705  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody Taking Bets On The Stock Market Crashing Tomorrow? on: August 24, 2015, 09:26:18 PM
Friday was a 500+ point drop, what will MOnday have in store?? I'm torn between a 300 point recovery or another 500+ drop… what you think?

How much did you make off the drop today?

I think we're in for another decline tomorrow, but not by the same level of drop. i don't think a bounce back will come until later in the week and hopefully it's not a quick rally. We need a correction, hoping that this was it (and just in time for the end of the month)!

Here's one insight on what's motivating the moves: http://time.com/4008590/stock-market-401k-crash/

Remember...bears make money, bulls make money, and pigs get slaughtered!
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big trouble for these guys - next on casualty list? on: August 24, 2015, 07:48:35 PM
The Bitcoin Shop is hurting.  Just lost 4.5 million in last three months.  http://www.coindesk.com/btcs-4-5-million-net-loss-mining-grows

Here's a link to the 10Q (quarterly reporting) document they filed with the SEC: http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1436229/000149315215003734/form10-q.htm

It might be a bit of a pain, but all the information needed to understand where the loss came from and potentially why is in this document - in detail or in summary.

Happy reading!
707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Solve The BlockSize Debate Once And For All on: August 24, 2015, 05:26:28 AM
You're a prodigy. So am I. This is how consensus is built and decisions are made through a system that embraces consensus.

Unfortunately we're all realizing that this is not that system. It's not as iff many of us are against a change, we just want to believe that a consensus has been built. Instead it's a lot of private discussions, YouTube interviews on what's been decided, and the rest of us debating and pining for more information on the Forum here.

What have we learned? That every system is subject to power struggles...maybe the big bad banks and the big bad government and the big bad corporations aren't that different from us.

If they are, we should start to show it...

Hey Friend,

Sounds like a cool application. You should probably move this thread to the Marketplace Goods (or Services) discussion boards. You'll find more people that are window shopping for great ideas, apps, etc.

Good luck to you.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies on: August 24, 2015, 03:36:47 AM
They took it down...and gave me a warning, here's what they said:

Bitcoin again[edit]
@Possum577: When you added Bitcoin into the table, you commented

Added Bitcoin as a circulating currency. Citing the www.blockchain.info as proof of widespread circulation around the globe (and growing volume.) It'd be great to have the formal BItcoin logo and "B" currency symbol added to this content. Thanks
This may seem like a good reason, and I assume you acted in good faith, but it does not meet the criteria that are plainly stated in the lead paragraph of the section (boldface added):

For the purposes of this list, only currencies that are legal tender, including those used in actual commerce or issued for commemorative purposes, are considered "circulating currencies". Currencies used by non-state entities, like the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, scrips used by private entities, and other private and alternative currencies are not under the purview of this list.
When an anonymous user removed it and explained why in the edit summary— "Remove Bitcoin, as it does not meet the page criteria" — you put it back, still ignoring the criteria and the user's comment. This time it's hard to suppose that you still weren't aware of the criteria.

This exact question has been discussed before. Please do not put Bitcoin back into the list. You are already on the edge of edit warring; don't step over the line. --Thnidu (talk) 00:38, 24 August 2015 (UTC)

Here's my response:

@Thnidu: When my first edit (adding Bitcoin) was removed, I was never notified why it was removed. As such, I added it back in. Thanks for providing the explanation. What criteria is not met? Obviously Bitcoin is legal tender (the US Internal Revenue Service has guidance on how to pay taxes on its use), it's used in actual commerce (many companies use it for payment for goods or services), it isn't "used by non-state entities" only, and it isn't used only "by private entities". It's supported by many Governments, as evidenced by their allowing it to exist and be used for payments. I won't cross the line and add the edit back but if an opportunity exists to evaluate Bitcoin's inclusion in the list I formally ask that the discussion be held. Additionally (and more importantly) I ask that Wikipedia consider accepting Bitcoin for donations! I'll donate to Wikipedia (and try to get others to) if you decide to accept Bitcoin. Thanks and an enjoy your week! --Possum577 03:33, 24 August 2015 (UTC)
710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies on: August 24, 2015, 03:20:32 AM
Editing the same article again with the same edits, either as one person or as a group, is not permitted, and can be construed as an edit war. It's not going to help Bitcoin's image or awareness very much anyway, so why do it?

Great point, I'm not trying to start an edit war and I completely agree that this would be the wrong approach. We'd need to approach diplomatically, maybe present a petition to have Bitcoin added.

What the hell am I saying - it's a list of currencies page on wikipedia, my visits today are probably the most they've had in single day in years.

We should add Wikipedia to Bitcoin instead. :p

Yeah, this is the way to go - get Wikipedia accepting Bitcoin, that's all we care about anyway...it's all that matters.
711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earn bitcoins quickly on: August 23, 2015, 09:58:57 PM
Is there a way to earn over 1btc per day without hacking?

Get a job?

Yeah, one that pays you 227 Dollars, 200 Euros, 145 Pounds, or 1,456 Yen per day (after taxes of course).

It's the easiest way to do it...aside from hacking as you clearly have considered. Don't hack wallets, it's shitty and only hurts the value of the coin you stole (because the more theft the slower the adoption.)
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies on: August 23, 2015, 09:43:17 PM
Well, that was short lived. It's already been removed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_circulating_currencies#Criteria_for_inclusion

If I continue to add it they'll just block my account, but that doesn't stop someone new from adding it!

Here's how you can do it:

1) Go to the link above
2) Create a Wikipedia account to edit pages (it takes seconds; username, password, email, captcha...that's it)
3) Click "edit" next to the "List of circulating currencies by state or territory[edit]" section, which is at the top of the table of currencies
4) Scroll down the code to find the space just before East Timor
5) Enter the following code:

|-
| {{f|Earth
| {{Sort|Bitcoin}}
| ฿
| BTC
| [[satoshi]]
| 100
|-

6) Delete any duplications of "|-" before or after this entry, those serve as breaks in the table and if there are two the formatting might get weird
7) Save changes!

I've updated the list one more time, i'm sure they'll delete it again and I doubt I'll get a third opportunity to do this...so, now it's up to the rest of you to keep correcting the list!

Cheers.

You're right, this is the vote that counts.

My question is, where do I go if I want to see what the "tally of the vote" is up to on any given day? Is Jan 1st, 2016...I want to know how close we are to 75%, where do I go?

(Since www.xtnodes.com is currently not loading)
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If somthing bad happend to bitcoin what cryptocurrency will you use ? on: August 23, 2015, 06:59:54 PM
If Bitcoin disappeared my first alternative choice would be Litecoin. But that preference is driven by choosing the next most valuable option. If Doge coin becomes more valuable than Litecoin, Dogecoin would be my choice.

The coin that has the greatest value will always prevail.

You should turn this post into a poll so we can all see how the responses align across all major alternative cryptocurrencies.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies on: August 23, 2015, 06:50:54 PM
Someone proposed a flag for Earth, you could use that one. Smiley

Anyway, I don't think bitcoin passes the criteria for this particular list:

Quote
For the purposes of this list, only currencies that are legal tender, including those used in actual commerce or issued for commemorative purposes, are considered "circulating currencies". Currencies used by non-state entities, like the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, scrips used by private entities, and other private and alternative currencies are not under the purview of this list.

Thanks, do you know how to reference that flag within Wikipedia?

As for the criteria, as you and I will both agree Bitcoin most certainly is legal tender and used in actual commerce. As for their determination of whether it should be considered without a "state entity" to back it, all I have to say is that just because it's "not allowed" now, doesn't mean it shouldn't be and the best way to start that discussion is by adding it to the list. In fact, if they take it down we should lobby them to have it added.

E.g., It was once illegal for women or non-whites to own land or vote...and obviously the world thinking has evolved beyond those limitations and for the better. Wikipedia can evolve too...
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies on: August 23, 2015, 06:31:09 PM
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_circulating_currencies#Criteria_for_inclusion

All, I added Bitcoin to Wikipedia's list of circulating currencies, citing blockchain.info and proof of widespread circulation and growing volume.

The entry is listed under "Earth" as the table is sorted by territory. I'm not a coder, it would be cool if someone could help me add the BTC logo before "Earth" and add a hyperlink to "Bitcoin" to take readers to the Bitcoin wikipedia page.

Cheers!
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BlockStream or BitcoinXT? Those are your choices, gentlemen. on: August 23, 2015, 06:06:29 PM
Bring your anti xt news here
http://Https://Reddit.com/r/noxt

I don't think this is anti XT news, this is a weak attempt to introduce a third option, "Blockstream"? to the debate.

Why hasn't ANYONE been talking about Blockstream on this forum, at the same frequency as XT over the last few weeks? This is the first I'm reading of it and while I don't read everything, I scan this main forum daily...I would have seen it...

Looking forward to your reply, thanks.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It looks like xtnodes.com is down on: August 23, 2015, 05:59:44 PM
Is this a sign the two sides reached an agreement?
Is it just a random shutdown for maintenance?
Or is it maybe a kind of attack?

Let's hope it's the first case.  Wink Wink

It's not an agreement...XT is on it's way and only time will tell if it achieves full adoption. It could be an attack but more than likely it's just a technical issue.

What does this have to do with the other site? (OR are you just saying that XT is still alive and kicking?)

Nah man, that's just the link to XT software, it's not XTNodes. XTNodes was independent of XT and tracked general adoption of the new technology/software/approach...
719  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ashley Madinson: geographical distribution map on: August 23, 2015, 05:56:06 PM
and (mostly) aligns with the borders of deeply muslim countries (i.e., theres NO indication of usage in Saudia Arabia, Iraq, etc.) This later fact could also be linked internet access to the site.

Malfideleco has only included users from 30 or so countries in their map. They are having difficulties in geocoding, and therefore they have temporarily excluded the other countries.

Other sources talk about tens of thousands of users in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Some of these users were LGBT, and they face almost certain death penalty now.

An example here:

Quote
The French leak monitoring firm CybelAngel said it counted 1,200 email addresses in the data dump with the .sa suffix, suggesting users were connected to Saudi Arabia, where adultery is punishable by death.

One wrote online under the title 'I May Get Stoned to Death for Gay Sex and wrote: 'I am from a country where homosexuality carries the death penalty.

'I BEG you all to spread this message. Perhaps the hackers will take notice of it, and then, I can tell them to (at the very least) exercise discretion in their information dump (i.e. leave the single gay arab guy out of it). As of now, I plan on leaving the Kingdom and never returning once I have the $ for a plane ticket. Though I have no place to go, no real friends, and no job.'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3204408/Millions-suspicious-spouses-crash-websites-set-names-Ashley-Madison-cheaters-interactive-map-reveals-men-women-registered-adultery-website-live.html

Thanks for the update. Perhaps I wasn't as "un-surprised" before as I am now. Humans are human, and humans need some lovin!

Sucks for that Saudi guy, he shouldn't have lived where he didn't respect or want to follow the collective laws (be it driven by political or religious reasons). It's good that he's moving on. He can't be respected in a place like Saudi were being gay is punishable. Tell him to travel to the US...he'll be welcomed there.
720  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea Gets Ready For War on: August 23, 2015, 05:52:21 PM
I think there is no danger that this incident turn into new war.
What happened is a common situation that is repeated every year at this time.
Kim must show strength and power, and prove to his citizens that he is still strong and unyielding and has everything under control.
Such situations are excellent for mobilization of hungry and desperate people in N. Korea.
This situation is an artificially caused for the purpose of Kim and his regime, and certainly will not escalate into a new war.

Agreed. There's been "acts of aggression" in the Sea of Japan before, no?

Kim must show strength but does anyone here believe Kim could follow through with war threats or endure a war for very long? I feel like their war machine is very, very light on men, intelligence, and ability to fight for sustained periods of time.
