is it worth it to put some old S3+ here?
If you only have one, unfortunately no. Your rewards won't be above dust level at the current pool hashrate.  If you got 3 or more you'd be safe, but I suspect your electrical bill won't be pleasant!  Smiley
702  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: is there a safe way to clean an AvalonMiner 741? on: October 18, 2017, 12:49:40 PM
Got a compressor out in the garage, with an air gun?  Blow out the dust.  Or get one of those cans of air, dust-off or some such.  Not very cost effective but miners are smallish so won't take much.  Put a pen in the fan blades to keep it from spinning if you want.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Question] Need help new to crypto mining on: October 18, 2017, 12:11:59 PM
Everything you need/want to know is in the Altcoin section.  Ask there.  This area is Bitcoin only, and no CPU/GPU will do.

Snootch to the mother F'in nootch, COrig2016 hits the big time! Woo Hoo! CO for Colorado I hope? Have done numerous road trips across this vast U.S... or at least from CA to the Great Lakes region.  Denver has the main U.S. dealership for Caterham Super 7 Death Machines of which I am an avid member, and the only gun shop I specifically made a detour to, but that was years ago...  Roll Eyes
Mine on!  Cool

Anyone know what's up in Labrador? I'm not seeing any info re NLHydro...been a while.

EDIT: Well...disregard my last. My sled dogs appear to be ramping up again.  Kiss
Whew! I was thinking the same thing. I too see hash returning (no relation to Midnight Express...  Shocked) to my account.  Been a great Block Party Weekend even with Friday sucking!  Cheesy
Mine on!  Cool

719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New Mining Rig on: October 11, 2017, 09:15:47 PM
Well we don't do GPU's here in the BITCOIN only section, so move this to the altcoin mining section and I'm sure you'll get some help there!

720  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: equipments needed for mining? on: October 11, 2017, 08:18:27 PM
Well since this is the BITCOIN only section, the equipment(s) you want are ASIC based miners.  GPU's are worthless for mining bitcoin directly, and all this altcoin discussion belongs in the appropriate area. See here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=401536.0
