701  Economy / Economics / Re: Raising the stock market after Covid-19 on: April 29, 2021, 01:52:16 PM
I think everyone should not be overconfident about the pandemic ending. Just take a look at what happened to India, the number cases went crazy and cremation has been taking place in the public per masses. Even though we need to figure out a way how we can regain our composure if ever the pandemic gets over, we should not compromise our health safety or else the worse might end up on happening. Many people are already making their way without compromising health protocols, maybe that's how it would be as we enter the new normal. We need to fit in and survive this pandemic or else it will all go to waste preparing ourselves on our financial strategy in the making.
702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: April 29, 2021, 01:20:19 PM
Just sold 5% of my Bitcoin that I've been holding for 3 years and I feel satisfied doing so.

I didn't need to sell, and it was mainly for the satisfaction of getting back some of my original investment.

However, I also feel like its broken the "HODL AT ALL COSTS" mindset which I felt was getting a bit unhealthy.

I do feel there are risks with Bitcoin, and I won't drag people down with that here, but I will be diversifying that money into gold and shares, mainly tech shares.

If Bitcoin dips a lot, I will also buy some more Bitcoin though.

Basically, I'm glad I sold some if only to stop feeling like a slave to it (and to test the Coinbase selling functionality which only took seconds for the transaction).

Considering that it is just 5% and you were able to hold your bitcoin for 3 long years, it is not bad decision at all. As you said, you felt satisfaction after doing it although you still felt guilty because you are trying to stick on the "Hodl at all cost" mentality, still it is not a bad thing to give back to yourself after the long time you resisted selling with all your might. You still have plenty left for sure and you are close to the probability of being able to hodl for a long time once again. People like you recieve the greatest rewards in bitcoin because it has never been easy to hodl cause a lot of things are happening in the market each day.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope others will learn from this on: April 28, 2021, 06:04:59 PM
It wasn't all your fault actually but you are somehow responsible with all the token you just lost. Whenever a certain coin will make progress or change, they will surely announce it to those who are currently on hold, if you missed it then unfortunately you cannot do anything about it anymore. You can still try actually to contact them and ask if they have a solution like letting you swap the tokens you have to their newly updated one but if they wouldn't allow it, sad to say but all your tokens are really worthless. Atleast you learned from your mistake, let this be a guide in order for you to avoid experiencing the same thing once again.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another huge dump happening today, is this it? on: April 28, 2021, 05:19:20 PM
The price movement of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have been very confusing nowadays. After the consecutive new ATH of bitcoin, many are starting to worry whenever it experiences deeps and maybe it is all because of what happened way back 2018. Indeed, the market wouldn't go on with its upward trend, corrections will take place or sudden dumps may occur and the best thing we can do is prepare ourselves for the best and for the worst to avoid regrets. Amidst all the speculations, we should not rely on it completely since all of it are just smart guesses. It would be better if we personally observe the pattern or movement in the market so we can make better decisions for the benefit of us.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: Are some too blind to see? on: April 28, 2021, 04:50:44 PM
These huge businesses that are entering bitcoin are not after charity or other things that may benefit others, they are here for the profits no matter how wealthy they are right now. It's more of reserving for the stock market that they may use for future references. Tesla's sales are being converted into fiat soon after but the rest for sure are being held. They can be considered as whales already and most of their actions can either beneficial or detrimental for the market. Just like how a normal investor would do, billionaires would also do so just to make sure money will never stop coming into their pockets. Money is everything in the world right now so at some point, we'll find their actions justifiable.
706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Major Risks in Crypto Business on: April 28, 2021, 04:13:07 PM
I think one major risk one may face in the crypto business is ignorance. As you enter this new platform, you might end up getting excited as you hear news about people getting rich over night or instantly. You start to rush things and push yourself to go all in amidst having no idea or knowledge on this new world you are entering. A way to tackle this risk is to make sure that each newbie that will enter the crypto business would be reminded to study the process first before entering real time trading or investment. We can do that through making articles with regards to the issue or through making a thread or discussion here in bitcointalk that may catch the beginners attention and lead them to study the culture and process here.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimately long time holders are enjoying the real BEAUTY! on: April 28, 2021, 03:45:15 PM
Today I am telling about BNB which I traded almost 1 month. After one month of experience and trading, I have earned almost $1000+. But one thing I realised, the long timers are enjoying the real beauty. In that period, I had bought BNB many times, sold also for making profit and I able to make it. But if I hold my funds from one month, I can easily make my funds 2x,3x or more.

That is which I found from my trading experience about BNB. Obviously I must say that it is a real money printer.

That's really good to hear. Regrets may come like hoping that you could've traded much earlier or right from the beginning but nonetheless, regardless of the short time span you've spent on trading, you have already earn much profits. It is really a real beauty for those who have been holding on their BNB for quite long because the benefits and huge amount of profits are definitely raining down on them. For sure, they will sell some of it and keep on using the rest of it for trading because they have so much faith for BNB. Same law applies to other cryptocurrencies, those who hold and have huge faith over a coin worth holding will see the real beauty of the crypto world.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell Altcoins on: April 28, 2021, 03:18:19 PM
Hi guys,

a question which i had discussed with some of my friends before:

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

Really interested in your thoughts!

Kind regards.
Most of the altcoins nowadays are doing good and some are even saying that the alt season has already started, nevertheless bitcoin's performance is still at the top and regardless of the sudden dips which are corrections that are ongoing, it still keeps on achieving a new ATH every time. You cannot say you wasted too much bitcoin for buying alt, neither you wasted too much alt because of investing instead on bitcoin. Actually, both are having the best performance at the moment and any form of investment, no matter what percentage the two are sharing, you can surely gain good profit specially if you are handling your investment right and wisely.
709  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: April 28, 2021, 02:48:20 PM
How would you define what is to be "rich"? Is it about having enough for living or is there something else that you would be looking to accomplish to be rich?
Is it 1 million USD? Is it 1000 bitcoin? what are your thoughts?
I think the definition of being rich will depend on what you value in life. If you are a materialistic person, being rich means being able to own anything regardless of how expensive it is. If you are more into nature, you will see that wealth is not found on what's inside your wallet or bank account, instead it is seeing breathtaking landscapes and being able to recieve the gift of nature such as fruits, fishes and clean water. If you value people, wealth is when you are loved and you have a lot of good people around you. You see, being rich comes in many forms and it will all depend on what you value on how you will define it.
710  Economy / Economics / Re: Are "Work Ethics" & "American Dream" a way to keep people working hard? on: April 27, 2021, 05:37:50 PM
Based on what I researched, they say that work began when Adam ate the forbidden fruit from Eva. It served as their punishment wherein they need to spend their blood and sweat just so they can survive. Later on, work became something where a man can satisfy his feeling of fulfillment while earning from it, Michelangelo and Da Vinci defined work as that way. At the present, working is necessary for survival still and it can also be considered as punishment if ever you are not doing what you love. Working has also been revolutionized through time and no one should be left out on finding modern solutions on how a man can earn more, just like how it is for crypto. Not everyone who work hard becomes successful, sometimes you just need to work in an intelligent way.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum & Bitcoin on: April 27, 2021, 04:37:18 PM
Bitcoin and Ethereum has been at the top for a long time and we can see bitcoin has been doing so good for almost a year already after its sudden dump on the 2018 bull run. In case you are doubting on investing within any of the two, think again because you might end up with regret or miss out the best investments in your life later on. Do not ever panic sell, it is very usual that corrections would take place considering the consecutive achievement of new ATH for bitcoin. It is necessary in order for it to remain stable later on and balance its price regardless of how high it is at the moment.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? on: April 27, 2021, 04:12:03 PM
Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? While mempool is overloaded
So average transaction fee right now is about 16 bucks. Is it to much?
It is still not ideal to use bitcoin for regular transactions considering the expensiveness of the transaction fee. I've seen someone here in the forum who was asking why is the fee so high cause he was trying to send $75 on what I can remember but the fee was at $50 or higher and the amount he is sending is now much lower than the fee. Maybe it would be best if we will only send money that has high value so that the fee wouldn't be much of a burden and we are doing it in one go. Maybe in the future, transaction fees may start going down or become completely gone, who knows.
713  Economy / Economics / Re: Turkish Central Bank Forbids use of cryptocurrencies as a mean of Exchange. on: April 27, 2021, 03:46:14 PM
As to what was mentioned by the head of the Central Bank in Turkey, the total ban was not yet implemented nevertheless, this doesn't exclude us from the fact that they are trying to build up the country's main cryptocurrency which is Thodek. On the other hand, as the governmeny exercise their power towards the nation, sooner or later a lot of detrimental outcomes would show up as they make the wrong decisions for their country. Also, we have no idea if they are secretly investing the asset of the country in crypto that's why they are doing those unnecessary actions which clearly doesn't make sense.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: April 27, 2021, 03:20:47 PM
We should not be mistaken by the sudden downfall of bitcoin's value into the end of the bull run. If you would take a look at the market, you would see that the altcoins are still going high same with bitcoin who reached a new all time high of $66k last April 17. Even though the value went down into $50k the next day, it easily recovered and regain its high value. We have now certain ideas on how long the bull run will take place, we only have speculations and considering that it is just a smart guess, it would be best if we are always ready on whatever events that may take place all of a sudden.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World Without Bitcoin on: April 27, 2021, 02:48:02 PM
Have you ever thought what would the world be without Bitcoin? Imagine if the cryptocurrency was never invented and we'd still be living with Fiat (paper money and credit/debit cards). People would be subject to banks' desires without a chance for freedom. A cashless society would be only a dream, without innovations in the FinTech space. Gold would still be an option, but not everyone will be able to access it. The unbanked people will be forced to deal with banks in order to participate in the mainstream economy. A lot of challenges and hurdles would arise without a decentralized form of currency for the enjoyment of all.

What do you think the world will be today without Bitcoin? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Even without bitcoin, time would still flow normally in the world each day for all of us but humans will stay as slaves of the government and the privileged elites. Freedom would not be like what we have today and innovations in terms of monetary transactions will be so hard to achieve. Indeed, the world will still keep on spinning even bitcoin never existed but life will never be the same if it was never invented and became successful. Let us rejoice and be grateful that it was invented in our ear, it is best to take advantage of being in the front line and being one of those people who got the chance to know about bitcoin as soon as it was created.
716  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin wasn’t created to make you rich. It was created to Enslave U & Track U on: April 27, 2021, 02:18:41 PM
It doesn't matter why bitcoin was created, the only thing that matters is how you use it for your own benefit. You are the one who gets to decide what will bitcoin do to you like for example, if you are too reckless with your decision making then bitcoin would never be an instrument for you to get rich as it sucks out all the money you are investing. On the other hand, in terms of being anonymous, bitcoin has been proven to be a safe currency and also we should already know how well secured it is just by seeing that it is used on illegal transactions in the black market so I guess there's nothing to worry about bitcoin being a tool to enslave us or track us down.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Cap: Will it Bounce Back or Become More Bearish? on: April 27, 2021, 01:22:00 PM
It is actually hard to predict what will happen next for the crypto market. As many have mentioned, a lot of crypto has reached new ATH for too many times already and as it occurs, corrections takes place which gives false alarm for those who panic easily. So far, the market managed to stay bearish regardless of the consecutive new ATH but still, it would be best to have proper risk management in order for you to avoid unnecessary circumstances. If you would be careless with your investment regardless of what coin it is, you might end up in regret as unfortunate and unexpected events happens all of a sudden so stay on guard and always be prepared.
718  Economy / Economics / Re: FINALLY ALL MONETARY AUTHORITIES IN THE WORLD WILL ADOPT BITCOIN on: April 26, 2021, 06:33:41 PM
The percentage of bitcoin users is growing all the time in all countries. The monetary authority's concern about the presence of bitcoin has turned into an opportunity for trust. For example, currently more than 35 percent of bitcoin circulation in America and in the next 10 years the percentage of funds invested or converted into bitcoin will be very significant.
This phenomenon will be absorbed by the majority of countries in the world to then take strategic steps through the regulation of their monetary authorities in accommodating the existence of bitcoin. This was created because bitcoin was able to guarantee equal trust without intervention so that it was considered fairer and safer.
And in the next 20 years bitcoin will become the single standard means of transaction in the world beyond the role of the US dollar, yuan, yen, euro and others. The creation of a world financial mechanism that is more efficient, easy, safe, equal and reliable.
Even though bitcoin has already gained much popularity all over the world, we cannot be certain about its future still. There are still a lot of possibilities that may hinder or may end bitcoin's era but let us hope for the best since we are all patronizing the use of it. For now, we should set ourselves ready on what can happen in the future and spread the word about bitcoin even through little ways like telling a friend or a relative. After all, if bitcoin would make it to that position in the future, I'm certain all the struggles and incapabilities will already be worked on and bitcoin would be flawless enough to be accepted and considered as the single monetary instrument in the world.
719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: April 26, 2021, 05:24:30 PM
I was very unfortunate to have lost a phone that had bitcoin sitting in the wallet. I was foolish and did not back the wallet up. I am wondering if there is any way to get my bitcoin at this point? I should also mention that I lost this phone 2 years ago and the lost bitcoin is now worth about 60k so whatever I could do to get it back.

Any advice is extremely welcome.

Considering the fact that you don't have any back up and it was lost two years ago, we can already say it is impossible that you will get it back. All you can do right now is regret because the bitcoin you hold on that phone has a greater value right now and you can't even cherish it. Next time, make sure to have all the sorts of back up, like private keys and such. The way you give importance to the bitcoin you are holding will reflect in the future and in times of trouble. So if you really consider it valuable, might as well do everything to protect it and make sure it wouldn't slip out of your hand no matter what happens.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin season ending in may ? on: April 26, 2021, 04:44:55 PM
Dear all

Now alt season started. Lot of coins specially 2018 ath coins now going for new ath. You can see xrp is moving like roket.

2018 how long alt season survived ?

I am currently holding aion coin. Its really blulish at the momement.

Experiemce tell me , when this alt season going to over  may or june ?

Instead of figuring out when will be the end of the alt season, why not focus on finding other altcoins from 2018 that has potential of becoming bullish so you can benefit more from this rare phenomena? There are a lot out there for sure that has good reputation and has the potential of improving during the alt season so do not waste your time on other things and start finding ways on how you can make the most out of this alt season. There's a possibility the alt season may take place for a long while but considering the sudden downfall of bitcoin, it may get dragged together with it. Always stay updated so that you will know what's best to do with your investments.
