721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Arrest on: June 20, 2020, 03:08:49 AM
I don't have any idea about the law but can someone tell me if mining inside the office is really a crime?

It's basically theft. Why? because they are stealing electricity and resources outside of their work which is against the law. Also, I've heard that Russia is against cryptocurrency at some point. I'm not sure about that but there's been a lot of articles about it.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why we should never trust anyone for being the real Satoshi. on: June 19, 2020, 08:54:03 AM
You are saying that information, history, and identities can be altered in the internet but not the private keys that the REAL Satoshi Nakamoto have. That's the only way to prove his real identities and that is what the community is looking for. He has been hiding for almost a decade now, I'm pretty sure that he won't be appearing. But I'm kind of curious, how can he be the death of his own creation? is he going to go do stupid things like faketoshi by patenting or owning everything about Bitcoin? Because at this point, he doesn't have any reason to do that. He is probably enjoying the fruit of his labor somewhere. He'll only put himself to danger if he does that.
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH STOLEN BY......WELL JUST LOOK. YOU WILL BE SHOCKED! on: June 19, 2020, 08:22:06 AM
Your account must have been hacked outside Coinbase. Did you see where the IP address of the last log in? are you using e-mail address or number to get verification to log in to your accounts? did you check your e-mail or messages to see if there's really a log in verification? or you didn't set up your security properly? if you didn't, then it's most likely that you got a malware from that eth miner and got your sensitive informations without getting protected.

To be honest, there's really not much you could do about it. You can only report it to the authority and hope that they investigate this matter.
724  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Nasubukan niyo na bang mag Stock Trading? on: June 19, 2020, 08:11:06 AM

But I think the thing here is that compared sa cryptocurrency, mabagal ang kilos ng mga stocks. May time kang pag-isipin mabuti ang gagawin mo at may time kang gumalaw kung sakaling may mangyari man sa company, maganda man o pangit.
725  Other / Meta / Re: BTT accounts Ban. on: June 18, 2020, 02:53:04 PM
So some of my crypto friends just got their accounts banned for some reasons, and as far as I know they are all bounty hunter who are sharing same bounties together, same with me. Most of our bounties are from Bounty detective's bounty campaign and I see any possible reasons that would caused them bannig their accounts since most of the BD's campaigns uses form to report, so no possible spamming of reports and other Bounty Campaigns don't usually the same day of reports. They don't really know what caused their accounts to be banned. And I was wondering why the BTT admins don't cite any reasons of banning or at least give users a warning or notifications that they have done something against the rules of BTT forum, not like they would ban accounts right away without giving out any reasons to the users. Any thoughts about it?

You are underestimating Moderators here in Bitcointalk ?do you think they will just banned an account without truthful reason?

And why Moderator needs to Give them warning when they are literally making mistakes that can cause banning?

Sorry to say but majority of Bounty Hunters are cheaters and that is obvious reason why they are either Banned or red tagged.

and sometimes it is better to just banned them so the possibilities of making another mistakes will gone with their account.

and also don't act as your friends are really concerned about their low ranking accounts because they can create tons of it.
Sad but true lol!!! I usually don't get in some arguments like this but hell I have to join! There's no such thing called mistake in the punishment on this forum. I believe that moderators will not take any action before considering it over and over. You know, when you join a community, you have to obey the rules set by the moderators (on users' behalf). When you join a community and can't follow the rule, you'll be the outsider. That's just too easy to understand! The only thing your friend should do is to review their faults and fix it before coming back to this forum!

There's also a possibility that this he is just making up his "friends" to prevent the fact that he is ban evading. Bans are most likely due to spamming post or multi-accounts who got caught.

to OP. If by chance that this is actually true, then you should ask your friends about what they are seeing after they log in because the reason is probably stated. To be honest, I'd just wait for the ban to be lifted if it's only days and try to comply with the rules properly in the future.
726  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: NEW MEMORANDUM OF BIR CIRCULAR NO. 60-2020 on: June 18, 2020, 06:09:54 AM

727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone can legal claim their Mtgox stolen Bitcoin from Craig Wright on: June 18, 2020, 03:22:58 AM
Quote from: from google
Gox announced that approximately 850,000 bitcoins belonging to customers and the company were missing and likely stolen, an amount valued at more than $450 million at the time.

It is really hard to return back the money that lost during 2011 and 2013. Probably, those who scammed had forget it already. Besides Craig Wright can`t paid that amount even the allegations to him is strong. I just can`t believe that the money scammed ranges in 450M usd. I did not yet join the cryptocurrency that time but AFAIK, it still the huge amount that had been scammed in crypto until now.

link here

I might have been a lot of money but seeing as faketoshi owns a portion of the BSV, I wouldn't be surprised that a lot of investors from 2014 would be running off to authorities to file cases against faketoshi to return him their money. The more lies he makes, the deeper he goes into the rabbit hole.
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending 130$ , with a transaction fee of million ! on: June 12, 2020, 05:52:24 PM
I think this is a trick to get attention. Because in order to have such a huge fortune (over $ 2 million), every transaction needs to be very careful and carefully checked, so that confusion is not possible. Therefore, I still think this is just a way to draw attention to crypto
Of course, with this kind of mistakes and as blockchain is transparent, sooner or later it will draw some attention. But I doubt that it was done by mistakes, this is very shady and the only reason that this individual did this is to hide something and colluding or conspiring with the miners with his illegal wealth here. Very intelligent move, but sorry everything is being seen in blockchain.

I think it will draw some attention but some might see this in a negative way. Like for example, if they somehow did make this kind of mistake, then there's no turning back. You just wasted your money and there's no authority that could help you since transactions are irreversible like for example, Bitcoin.

Also with this kind of shady move, people will more likely to stereotype cryptocurrency as illegal. We don't really know if this was intentional or not but one thing is certain, hit is a pretty stupid thing to do, even if it's intentionally trying to launder money or not.

729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is third party Bitcoin services really into Bitcoin for the technology? on: June 09, 2020, 05:53:59 PM
isn't it obvious that this corporations are just trying to earn as much profit as possible from the start? Because if they don't do it, how can they keep the business running. But we've got to admit that because of them, more and more people are starting to know Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

For example, a third party wallet in the Philippines. You can buy things, pay bills and even load up your steam wallet using Bitcoin. It's super convenient that it's almost attractive. I've seen a lot of people who doesn't know cryptocurrency are using it because of the benefits. The downside is that you need KYC.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ninety nine percent of new projects are money grabbers on: June 08, 2020, 01:35:23 PM
That's why you only invest in coins/tokens that already have a working product or at least an alpha of what they are suppose to do. Most investors nowadays are just investing left and right, hoping that they will struck gold if they invest in a new project. Most just fail.

To me many new projects are here today just for your money, you invest in them and you make them rich, that's why we keep seeing unqualified people becoming developers, it's always about the money, I wish crypto projects are much harder to built, maybe only few scam projects will exists...... I know how easy it is to built erc20 token and website too, God have mercy on investors, I hope solution comes soon
You are making it look like all erc20 tokens are scam projects because they are easier to build than other blockchain projects, the fact is you need to do research on some projects running on smart contract, not all of them are bad, most tokens have real use case and some are just scam like you said but not all of them.

That thing here is that, even research won't mean much if the project really have worked hard to disguise their scheme. He is not making it look like all of tokens are scam but he is saying that new coins tend to be a scam most of the time. It's true that because it's easier to build, scammers and fraudsters have easier time to make a project and scam some investors.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bankera..3 years after ICO...a money grab ICO??? on: June 06, 2020, 02:12:53 PM
You don't have to think about it too much. It's pretty much a scam/dead project since it's already 3 years and they still haven't delivered anything positive yet. Try opening this accusation right here so you'd know that they've already left you. The owner of the Bankera account hasn't been online since march and his last post was this which is January of 2020.

I know it's a lot of money that you've invested but it's a risk you took and you failed. Just Invest in the top cryptocurrencies and hold for a long time instead of investing in projects that hasn't proven anything.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Google: What is the best performing asset in 2020 on: June 05, 2020, 04:03:40 PM
It's just me but maybe the reason why google is showing this results is because of our past search histories? and there's just a lot of threads, articles, news that is pertaining that Bitcoin could potentially be the best performing asset in 2020. Maybe this keywords were optimize to result in that article by SEO specialist. I've tried "best asset to invest in 2020" but Bitcoin wasn't in the list.

Still good to see that Bitcoin is showing in searches though. Some newbies would definitely find Bitcoin appealing if they where to search those keywords.
733  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: June 04, 2020, 01:58:08 PM
Looking at the information above.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin dilemma. on: June 02, 2020, 04:58:37 AM
You haven't lose yet if you do not sell those. If you are here in crypto for a short-term trading, then that's a pretty bad move for you to invest in that price, especially if you really need the money. Just hold them for another year or so because now that the halving is done, it is expected that Bitcoin's price would rise in a few months or even a year and we all know that most of the altcoins follow Bitcoin price.

You should know the risk you've taken when you invested in those altcoins.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters aren't responsible for dumps on: June 01, 2020, 02:08:32 PM
Here are points that bounty hunters aren't responsible for major dumps happening to bounty projects

Point 1.
Many bounty hunters hold tokens and coins they earn from bounties, not all of them are dumpers,

Point 2.
and it's ridiculous if a project dumps because of bounties and airdrops promotions that's suppose to drive in many investors for them

Point 3.
Bounties allocations are not even up to 1% of the projects max allocations, the most projects I've seen only gives out 0.1% and some even gives out only 0.01%

Point 4.
New projects go around giving too good discounts for early investors, an ICO price of 0.01$ turn to 0.005$ for early investors, what are they thinking? The moment this hits exchange and price starts at 0.02$ they will surely dump 💯

That's the misconception that people always says. Although it's not the investors fault but I disagree with point 1 because the majority of the hunters are dumpers. That's probably why people (investors) are blaming bounty hunters BUT it was really the investors that gets the majority of the token from a project. Even the investors themselves are the major dumper of the market.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most valuable token on the ETH blockchain? on: May 31, 2020, 03:41:35 PM
I don't know what does "valuable" means to you OP but if you are into mining, then Ethereum Classic would probably your best bet which you can find here that it is at the top spot.

If you value trading fiat to Bitcoin, then USDT would be your best bet. If you want to invest in a stablecoin that moves in price, then GOLD would be your bet.

If you just want to invest into an altcoin that is on Ethereum chain, then why not invest in Ethereum instead?

You can find all tokens here

https://coinmarketcap.com/tokens/

The idea of "most valuable" usually is considering total capitalization   .
So te first would be USDT then chainlink.

I'm not even surprised that USDT would be number one as it is probably the most used stablecoin when exchanging Bitcoin to dollars. Almost all exchange have USDT. Not to mention they have a lot pf partnership that supports them.

737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pros and Cons on: May 31, 2020, 03:27:08 PM
Probably the biggest pros for Bitcoin is that this is the first cryptocurrency created and is acknowledge by the world. But why is Bitcoin acknowledge? because it gives you the freedom over your money. Unlike the early digital coins before Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the first digital coin that is decentralized and semi-anonymous. You don't need any banks, verifications, or any authority to use your money. You are your own authority.

Because of its anonymous features, the worst cons of Bitcoin that I've noticed so far is the amount of scammers and fraudsters using this in order to steal money from unsuspecting victims. Authorities are having a hard time tracking criminals as Bitcoin could be split into many parts or wallets. We have mixers and other services that helps them do this.

Although people might say that fee might be a con, I disagree as Bitcoin can adjust overtime.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So people are using Cryptos rather than investing! Interesting Facts!! on: May 31, 2020, 08:35:52 AM
Isn't Staking, lending, and borrowing is a form of investment? because staking is investing into an altcoin to gain profit by multiplying your coins, lending is letting other people borrow your money to gain profit from interest, and borrowing is taking other people's money or borrowing to make it grow.

Although this type that you've mention is in fact investing, there are people who really use Bitcoin not just in investing. For example, there is an app here in my country that let's you use Bitcoin as a gateway payment to buy things online or pay for bills, credits, etc.

Interesting facts indeed, but the title is misleading and you probably are just promoting that site.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reasons Why I Have Lost 50% Of Bitcoin on: May 30, 2020, 04:27:26 PM
I think what you lack is research. From what I've read, you are not trying to know first the things that need to be done before you do something, that's why you lost a lot of money even though you could have avoided it if you only researched it in the first place. Although it's an unfortunate event, there's still a good thing about this. You learned your mistakes and you learned a valuable experience that you could use in order for you to judge right and lessen your mistakes in the future.

Well, there's nothing you can do about it now though. At least you shared something that newbies should avoid. I hope you are doing well now OP  Smiley

By the way, avoid something that will harm you in a way. Looking at above post, you did something that you should not have done.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sometimes late bounties can still pay rewards on: May 30, 2020, 06:09:25 AM
the project you promote 2years back can still come up and give you awesome reward, delays takes place sometimes that makes project team keep postponing listing on exchanges,  imagine promoting a project in 2018 paid you big reward in 2020 after you've already zero your mind that it's over? I want bounty hunters in the house to verify this, true or false??

Anyways, do not underestimate projects you promote a year or two years ago, they can still pay up and secondly do not leave or exit their telegram channel no matter how many years it's been, if you do you might be denied of your rewards

There are some genuine projects and ICO which have done their bounty 1-2 years ago(there may be cases of delay due to local law ) and they are working hard for their project. So this is definitely possible that a project will pay you a good reward.

That might be a possibility but we are talking about projects who locked their tokens for 1-2 years and still hasn't given the rewards for the bounty hunters because of some delays, which is absurd. So I don't think that this kind of projects will reward the bounty hunters anymore. They might have just exited to be honest. Even if there's a really legit project there that really wants to be used by the world, I doubt that will have a "great reward" since the hype and all the promotions from years back are wasted because of it being asleep for a long time.
