TBH I'm not surprised by Nadal's announcement. On not playing RG - that was really on
the cards because he hasnt been able to prepare by playing Madrid or Rome.

On retirement - it was inevitable, just goes to show again when approaching the end of
a career injuries feature a lot.

He also hinted at not playing a full season in 2024, he wants to play the tournaments
which were special for him.

Saw a video recently in which it seemed as if the legs are still not in condition to endure a high level tournament. He was holding his knees and barely moving while his team surrounded him to comfort him. Not a good look for his future in Tennis. Hopefully he stays healthy next season.
Nadal and Murray are at their best years back and now it is the young generation dominance. It is really hard to give competence against them. It is good to announce retirement and start to coach the new ones into tennis. After certain age it is common to see players getting injured often, and lets hope for the recovery at the earliest. These players won't be forgotten easily, because through them only majority have known about tennis.

On the other hand, it became challenging for Mumbai Indians to secure a playoff spot as Mumbai Indians slipped to the fifth position only on net run rate. The playoff qualification equation became complicated for them.
As usual Mumbai Indians started slowly and then started to win to get to the final 4 and this time around it is the same story and this time RCB can get that spot if they win the next game because they have the net run rate factor secured.

I expected RCB to fumble this chase but Virat Kohli played and incredible innings along with Faf du Plessis and if they can carry on this performance they can create history in this edition of IPL as Virat Kohli and RCB is dreaming about this trophy for a decade Grin.
Thats a comfortable chase. If the wickets have fallen earlier, surely the team could've suffered to chase the target. It looked like the team had a good plan and well executed. If they play likewise, they'll chase any team. Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers weren't good enough to break partnership. Both kept the match in control going for the right shots and never took it hard. Finally they're close to the playoff, even now who's gonna leave playoff is very hard to predict. Much win situation for every team in their last match.
723  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: May 17, 2023, 01:12:52 PM
Looking at the volatility of the market at the moment, it seems that it is better not to invest in the current context.  How do you know the movement of the market seems random. Bitcoin price hovers between $26K/27K/28K.  Dependent on Bitcoin this is how other coins are currently rising. From this current situation, the market is likely to go up as well as down. So we should wait for some time.  Maybe if we wait for some time we will be able to understand the right direction in the market.
Markets were much into manipulation. This is being done along with the inflation data, which means the market movements were disturbed with planned buying and selling. For now the bulls expect the price to touch $32k whereas the bears expect the market touch $25k. Over the past two days the price is moving around $27k. Possibly this can reach down to $26k in the upcoming weeks. No time is bad for investment, better choice is to go with DCA when the market is highly unpredictable.

This match is going to 3 sets, it really could go either way, I recon the winner of this
will take the overall title or possibly Ruud depending on either Djokovic or Rune winning
Rune had won the first set 6-2 and Djokovic leads the second set 5-4. By the time match have been suspended due to heavy rain. It looks like Djokovic have brought the set into his control. He started to play freely. As the match got suspended we can't be sure of the winner. Someone could be lucky, most of the time winning prediction have favoured the underdog in such situation of match rescheduling.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 17, 2023, 12:37:10 PM
Ireland was still dreaming that they will be able to win the series 3-0 and thereby gain direct qualification to the ODI world cup. And in reality, they lost the series 0-2. They asked Josh Little to participate in this series (he was playing in the IPL for Gujarat Titans), and this resulted in huge monetary losses for him. They need to introspect the reason for poor performance ever since they got the test status in 2019. Now they are receiving good funding from the ICC, when compared to other associate nations such as Scotland and Namibia ($5 million per year for 2019-23, and $18 million per year for 2024-27).

I would say they somehow got overconfident after the test match against Bangladesh. They thought that Bangladesh would be vulnerable in their home ground. What happened was just the opposite. The first match got cancelled due to rain. In the second match, they had zero idea on how to stop Bangladesh's batters. In the third match, they fought well, but that was not enough.

@Sithara007 I agree with @elevates that Ireland player’s were overconfident and they totally failed to implement their game plan against Bangladesh. Furthermore I was surprised to see that Josh agreed to leave IPL to play an international series but he’ll be back now however I doubt that he’ll be selected because it seems that GT have a nice winning playing 11 and I’m not sure if they’ll want to tweak it to accommodate him.
Maybe, to me it doesn't look like the overconfidence. It looked like lack of experience, if not surely they could've won atleast the third match after coming this closer. They had a plan, on execution they failed. Playing few more series against top teams will make them progress well and learn how to handle similar match situations. Already the Gujarat Titans team manager Vikram Solanki have confirmed about Joshua Little back to the team after the Bangladesh series.

In the last over where 11 runs were needed to win, Cameron Green managed to score only two runs from four balls. I would say that mainly because of Cameron Green's failure, Mumbai Indians lost this match.

Why blame Cameron Green? What about the other batsmen? Green faced just 6 balls and scored 4 runs. On the other hand, Nehal Wadhera faced a total of 20 deliveries to get to his 16, and Suryakumar Yadav got to 7 from 9 balls. And don't forget the contribution from Vishnu Vinod as well (2 runs from 4 balls). When the middle order failed to keep up with the required run rate, it will be unfair to blame Green for the loss. If he was sent ahead of Nehal and Vishnu, then yes. But he batted at no.7 and got just two overs at the end.
With T20 matches none can be blamed. Anytime the match can turn in favour of a team or against the team irrespective of the best players in the team. One such incident is the match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants. The blame came upon Cameroon, because even after the failure of the middle order the target to be scored in the last over is just 11 runs. Batsmen in the ground were Tim David who is the second highest scorer in Mumbai Indians innings and Cameroon Green who had used to be match changer. When the end result is a disappointment, the blame is put on Cameroon as he faced four balls in the last over.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 17, 2023, 09:14:09 AM
Gambling platforms just provide rakeback and lossback based on what you've wagered. Most of the online casinos that are getting launched these days have added this feature. This is just a way to console the person who had lost big money in gambling. With the land based casinos even this isn't available. Play and pay later is new to me.

Gambling sites providing loan is not at all possible. Just think, on what basis the loan will be provided. Even if collateral is submitted providing loans for the purpose of gambling isn't possible. Maybe in the future we can find financial service providers making tie-up with gambling platforms to enable such kind of inbuilt features within the platform and easily make users get into debts.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin IS an asset. Do you think it's bad? on: May 16, 2023, 10:52:29 PM
Bitcoin have various disciplines, it gets to be an investment asset for some people. The same bitcoin is used as trading asset by certain group of people. The object is the same and the usage varies depending upon the people. Bitcoin having the value that fluctuates make it have different form of usage. Bitcoin having good value makes is get used as a form of money. From the fiat currency we've reached the completely technology backed cryptocurrency, where the success relies on the limited supply. In all ways of usage it is good for the users.

Just wow!! Well done Mohsin, an excellent exhibition of death bowling tonight.
I was stunned to see him give away only 5 freaking runs against players like David and Green in the final over. Wow! It looked like Tim would help his team cross the line towards the end, but he messed up by rotating the strike.

Bishnoi, Khan and Stoinis are the ones who won this for Lucknow. MI are in trouble now because teams like RCB etc could steal their spot in the playoffs.
What a bowling from Moshin Khan. At the final over with 10 runs required from 6 balls, and unable to reach the target by players like Cameroon Green and Tim David is really great thing from the bowler. The best part, Mumbai Indians scored 19 runs in the previous over, which means they're in good position to score runs. Anyhow the win is important for LSG at the moment and keeps Mumbai Indians in trouble till the final match gets over.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 16, 2023, 05:26:04 PM
This is what gamblers should know, that if you are lucky and win, withdraw your money and leave only little to gamble with next time. The second one is that if you are losing, stop gambling for the day and wait for the next day or wait for later when you will not gamble because you lose. While gambling, greediness should be taken away because this is what that happens to most gamblers that win but want to win more and continue to gamble.
In reality when there is continuous winning, the gambler continues to gamble out of greed. One out of ten might have the right understanding and take a break out of satisfaction. Whether one is on the winning streak or losing, it is good to take a break. When you take break, it lets the gambler to analyse the gambling activity and move forward.

Even if one isn't able to have patience, he/she should have the control over the funds, because we don't know how far the person gonna be lucky or not. Most of the time even the person who have got good self control, losses patience when the bets continuously fails.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 16, 2023, 05:05:54 PM
Mumbai Indians are most likely to win today's match and they chose Fieldy to bat. With so much time already passed, the position of the game suggests that LSG will not be able to score too many runs in today's match. And in today's match Mumbai Indians are bowling well especially Jason Behrenorff he has already taken two wickets. Today's match is very important for both the teams and whoever wins will have a chance to go to the knock out stage. And Mumbai Indians have the most chances to go to the knock out stage. In today's match, the way LSG is batting, they will not be able to collect many runs. At the moment, their team score is 11 over, 78 runs and 3 wickets.
Yes Mumbai Indians are doing well in bowling. Lucknow Super Giants can keep the team batsmen under pressure then Lucknow Super Giants will not be able to give the target of many runs. Lucknow Super Giants team has lost 3 wickets so far. Lucknow Super Giants team batsmen still if the wickets  If they can hold on and play, there will be a possibility of 160 in this match. However, if Lucknow Super Giants can give a target of 160 runs, the match between the two teams will be a tough fight.

The match between Lucknow and MI has been a real nail-biter so far. Lucknow has managed to put up an incredible total of 177 after down at 123/3 in just 17 overs. And can we talk about Marcus Stoinis' performance? Absolutely, today his batting is nothing short of sensational and this knock will go down in IPL history as one of the best.

MI bowlers did miss their length several times towards the end. It's definitely a challenging total to chase and from MI side need someone to step up and deliver an equally special performance if they want to win this game.

@onecall123 what an brilliant finish to the Lucknow innings because at one stage it felt like that MI would easily win the match but what an incredible turnaround by Lucknow. Furthermore MI have started their innings solidly and they’re now 47 runs at the end of 5 overs and they haven’t lost a single wicket too thus it suddenly feels that MI will now win easily.
The match start wasn't good for Lucknow Super Giants as they had few early wickets. From there krunal played in the right way and stood wicket and walked to the pavilion as retired hurt. Stoinis continued his game and took the LSG to a solid score of 177 runs by the end of 20 overs. It looked little fighting match for Mumbai Indians, but looking at the way of scoring Mumbai Indians will easily reach the target. Already Ishan Kishan have crossed 50 runs and Rohit Sharma played better than other matches scoring 37 runs. Already 100 runs reached in the 11th over seems to be an easy winning for Mumbai Indians.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 16, 2023, 08:12:53 AM
I'd prefer if Virat and Rohit take official retirement from T-20 and ODI (After WC) and focused on Test cricket and IPL.

Virat may retire from the test format, but he is not going to give up T20Is and IPL. Rohit is already 36 years old, and I don't know for how long he will continue to play in multiple formats. His performance was not satisfactory during this year's Indian Premier League. If Mumbai Indians fail to qualify for the playoffs, then there is a very good chance that he will be removed from captaincy. BTW, his recent test performance is not that extra-ordinary. During the last two years, he has only one test hundred to his name (and no half centuries) in 9 innings.
Most of the prediction states that Rohit Sharma and senior players will announce retirement once after the 2023 World Cup. I don't think the selection committee will easily take away the captaincy from Rohit Sharma. Atleast till the World Cup we can expect him to be the captain of India. In this season he hasn't performed well. However Rohit Sharma and other senior players need to come forward and retire atleast by 2024. Right now more players were identified and are queued for the national team.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2023, 09:09:55 PM

It is estimated that over 4 million people, or 2.4% of Bangladesh’s total population, currently own cryptocurrency.

Bangladesh has ~170 million people, not 1.8!

Anyhow, this 2 - 3 % I've seen lately are coming back down to a more credible number than 20% for some countries which is simply ridiculous, we're nowhere near that level at adoption yet, and if we were at that with these low prices and even low number of transactions and businesses accepting crypto it would be completely weird near impossible.
So, a long way still to go!
Yeah, my calculation missed. The population is around 180 million, based on this what we have as 2.4% is really big number. Atleast people are prepared enough to hold bitcoin. Slowly the need makes them focus on different ways of using bitcoin. Above all proper education is the one thing that drives people into proper adoption and get into more real-time usage. How far Bangladesh government is supportive in this isn't known??
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 15, 2023, 08:27:06 PM
Country with 1.8 million population having 2.4% of cryptocurrency holders is a great thing. However when calculated mathematically the holders count is less than 45k. Based on the news what I read years back, the present growth is really big. Earlier few people holding cryptocurrency were arrested by the police. No one were allowed to hold or trade cryptocurrency. From that situation to what we're experiencing at the present is completely different.

Bangladesh is stated as one of the growing economy of the world. Maybe the governments might've thought of bitcoin as a disturbance to the economy. For that reason it might've been announced illegal.

It's a shame I had to miss the Marozsan vs Alcaraz bet on the clay court ATP singles in Rome (Italy) just because the Odds were so low.
Even though this is a good opportunity to get a number of benefits.
This fight will be dominated by Alcaraz so he will easily become the winner.
Marozsan is really no match for Alcaraz, so whoever bets on Alcaraz for this match, you can get a win.

In surprising turn of events. Alcaraz has lost the first set against Marozsan and that too a convincing 6-3. I still doubt Marozsan will be able to win the match though. He was almost out of the tournament, the last round itself but got lucky with the opponent playing very poorly through out the match, especially at the end.

Edit: Marozsan beat Alcaraz 2-0. You should be glad you didn't bet because of the low odds.  Grin
New Star have emerged with the win against Alcaraz. It was completely unexpected, and we were able to see good number of matches in recent tournaments won by the underdogs. This time the second set was expected to be a win from Alcaraz, but the competence from Marozsan is really great and the tough play at the tie breaker turned the match. Second set was very close that Marozsan won it 77-64. Marozsan have reached the highest of 128th rank and winning against No.1 is a big day for him.
736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 15, 2023, 05:24:16 PM
SRH is one among the best team, it lacks consistent performance. It was the team that scored 228 runs and chased a target of 214 runs. Same team lost against Delhi Capitals, unable to reach the target of 144 runs. The on-going match seems even bad as the team have lost 7 wickets scoring 104 runs. Klaasen have scored 51* runs and the next top scorer is the bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. This performance isn't enough to reach the top position on the points table. The team players are good and they need improvement for better progress in the upcoming seasons of IPL.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 15, 2023, 12:25:08 PM
All the features mentioned seems to be fair and it can help with the control and intimating users about the gambling activities. However along with the features there'll be options to enable and disable the feature. This once again makes the gambling activity to be much based on the user mind and not on the casino's choice.

Users were requested to prove their identity is good, but the competence in the gambling sites make it more feasible for gamblers. Every platform during the signup process gives a detailed briefing on terms and conditions. It is the users who understand it well and move forward, because the prime objectives found were about the risk and to gamble responsibly.

Need someone high in management to contact me directly. I have been scammed and stake have profited hundreds of thousands of dollars from me illegally and knowingly. Complaints and legal ignore me. I have thought about talking to the media and stakes sponsored companies about whats occured if I can't get it resolved amicably with them and they respond. Someone please help who is high up in stake management. I'd rather not post evidence for privacy reasons but will if it has to come to that to get it resolved. Would prefer someone contact me directly from stake management who can prove they are reputable

No evidence -> nobody cares.

Also, nobody from management will contact you just because you made a post in a forum.

Tell us the full story and you might get help. But with this vague nonsense nobody will even take this serious and what you write is just considered spam.

It sounds harsh, but it's the reality. If you sue somebody you can't go to the police and tell the them "this person did it" , but not showing and full story and evidence. Don't expect any help until you share everything.

I am also not sure he will get attention here without evidence but he also has privacy that must be respected the best way is to give advice who should be contacted
If he needs help in this forum then @micro may be one of the right people but he is not always active in the forum, there's nothing wrong to try right.
just believe that if it does not violate the rules then everything can be resolved because stake.com has a reputation.
Once again this guy have created a new thread in the Gambling board. Stake.com not paying out my money. He hasn't mentioned anything clear and request everywhere to contact eddie. I believe he's new to gambling, could've lost big fund. Now to request for a refund he might be searching for Eddie as it haven't worked with the support team.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 15, 2023, 06:06:45 AM
What a disaster for RR! They were all bowled out for just 56 runs. A target of 171 was good to chase, and my expectation was that RR would be able to chase it. I never thought that the complete batting lineup of RR would collapse. Except for Shimron Hetmyer and Joe Root, all their batters were either out for a duck or with single digits.
Actually when Rajasthan Royals play, they either do really well or really poor. When they played against RCB, they were trying to score a lot of runs quickly in the powerplay, but it didn't work out well for them. This can be a problem for Rajasthan Royals because it might work one time but not another.
Yesterday's match is one of its worst performance. If they had done it at the early stages this could've never been a big thing. At the end when every team is competing hard for the playoff entry such a down performance is really bad. This has lowered the runrate which was quite good prior to the match. In the last five matches Rajasthan Royals have won just one match. This has lowered its chance to playoff, and for now it is the match between RCB and SRH to decide who's gonna get into the playoff.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 15, 2023, 05:20:38 AM
Disappointed with the performance from Ireland. Despite having the home advantage, they lost the series 2-0 (with the first match washed out as a result of rain). All of their main players were available for this series, so there can be no excuse related to player availability. Batting was OK, with Paul Stirling, Andy Balbirnie, Harry Tector and Lorcan Tucker scoring decently. But bowling was a big let down. Josh Little was expensive and could not take wickets, while Graham Hume leaked runs. Only Mark Adair was consistent as far as pace bowling is considered. And in the spin department, both Andy McBrine and George Dockrell failed miserably.

I am not dissapointed I am happy that they cam so close to level the series after a disastrous performance in the previous match. They are still building thier team and hopefully in couple of years they will become a good one. I was disappointed with Bangladesh team playing the match casually. Although they won the match and the series they should have won it with a big margin.
In the second ODI match, we saw Bangladesh's bowling disaster and batting disaster in the third ODI match. Bangladesh has been able to overcome these disasters in two matches and win. But Bangladesh should learn from these mistakes. If the bowling is bad in one match, if the batsmen are bad in one match, then any match can go out of hand. There are Asia Cup and World Cup tournaments ahead, there will be competition from teams much stronger than Ireland, if such mistakes are made with those teams, Bangladesh will never win the big tournament. Bangladesh has to be praised for the fact that the winning streak has continued despite England's conditions.
The Bangladesh team makes mistakes, but the team had improved a lot compared to its past years of cricket. For now I'm expecting to see its game on the Asia Cup and the World Cup. Years back when a top team play against Bangladesh we were able to confirm it as a win for the opponent. Now the scenario is different, whether it is India, England, Australia or any of the team we can't be conclude earlier it as a win for them. Bangladesh team have evolved as a tough contender who have got the ability to change the match at any situation.
