In another nail-biting finish Bangladesh triumphed over Ireland securing a thrilling victory by a margin of 4 runs. The win ensured Bangladesh a clean sweep of the ODI series which ended 2-0 in their favour. I would say it was a game must won by Ireland, as they played well to chase the target. The irony with Ireland is that they don't have the capability to finish the game. Ireland collapsed when 44 runs were required on 50 balls with 7 wickets in hands. This weakness of Ireland can only be overcome if they were given more and more chances to play against test teams. Mustafizur Rahman was the hero as he picked 3 wickets at very crucial part of the game.   

You are right that Mustafizur Rahman played a great role in ensuring victory for Bangladesh. On the other hand, Mahmud Hasan managed to take two great wickets in the last minute, all in all, Bangladesh's bowling department made it possible for Bangladesh to win this match.

Tomorrow    Yes Mustafizur Rahman along with Hasan Mahmud also played a good role in yesterday's ODI match.  Mustafizur Rahman took 4 wickets in 10 overs and Hasan Mahmud took 2 wickets in 9 overs. they have performed very well in bowling but both of them scored 1 run in batting. Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim did very well with the bat.  All in all, Bangladesh won the match in good way.

Mustafiz certainly performed really well in that match. But I would say that Hasan Mahmud also performed really well. We are not talking about him enough. The way he bowled the last over was absolutely incredible. But I will actually blame Ireland. Remember Ireland had given 26 extra in that Bangladesh batting innings. Imagine that being anything less like 20. It was going to be a win for Ireland. Both innings took a big turn towards the end. I still have some question marks about the captaincy of Tamim Iqbal.

I don't know whether this is a good excuse for the pathetic performance from Ireland in recent times. Before they received their test status in 2019, they used to perform much better. They were able to defeat teams like England and West Indies on a regular basis. But that was when they had awesome players such as Kevin O'Brien, William Porterfield, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin, Ed Joyce and Niall O'Brien. Once these players retired, their performance deteriorated. Among the younger players, only Curtis Campher, Lorcan Tucker and Harry Tector have shown some promise. All the others are there just to make up the numbers.

Ireland showcased their potential to dominate the opposition boasting a formidable lineup of power hitters but that cannot chasing down the target 275. But the Bangladeshi bowlers M. Rahim picked crucial 4wickets and hasan mahmud picked 2 wickets and shattered their hopes with their exceptional bowling skills. Despite the loss Ireland fought valiantly and came agonizingly close falling just 5 runs short of victory. In the match both triumphs and defeats are inherent and it is important to acknowledge the outstanding performance of Bangladesh before the world 2023. The player of the series is Najmul Hossain Shanto for his amazing batting performance.

Every ODI match of Ireland against Bangladesh was full of great competition especially they were restricted to 45 overs in the second ODI match where Ireland batted first and gave Bangladesh a target of 320 runs and in that match it was assumed that Bangladesh might lose but Bangladesh youngs team especially Nazmul Hasan Shanto scored a brilliant century to win the team, plays a big role in giving. In the third ODI with Bangladesh, Ireland's bowlers bowled brilliantly and forced Bangladesh to set a target of 274 runs with seven balls to spare. But in the third match, Mustafizur Rahman, one of the main tools of Bangladeshi bowlers, took four wickets for 44 runs and defeated the Ireland team by 5 runs. But one sad thing is the Super League of Ireland team through this series All chances of the game were gone and they were uncertain of the Super League play-offs.

They asked Josh Little to participate in this series (he was playing in the IPL for Gujarat Titans), and this resulted in huge monetary losses for him. They need to introspect the reason for poor performance ever since they got the test status in 2019. Now they are receiving good funding from the ICC, when compared to other associate nations such as Scotland and Namibia ($5 million per year for 2019-23, and $18 million per year for 2024-27).
