721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DSH] Dashcoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity, automated source code) on: July 09, 2014, 12:58:38 PM
i have a question for the dev.

why make a cryptonote coin with such a large number amount mineable, when you can only send tiny amounts to exchanges etc...?

I see it the other way - exchanges have to adapt to the coins, not the coins to the exchanges. If an exchange supports Bytecoin it will support Dashcoin with no problem

thats not what i mean lol. you can mine millions a day easy no doubt. what iam talking about is cnote coins, when attempting to send coins from wallet to exchange like with XMR you can generally only send 5 coins at a time.... when you have say 500k being able to send such a low amount will take a long time to empty ones wallet. thats what i was more asking about the higher number of mineable coins....

You can send bigger amounts both for XMR and Dashcoin and every other coin. For example i have sent 1000 XMR or millions of DSH with no problem...

The problem was with the pools paying tiny amounts, dust, and if you had much dust you couldnt sent all of it at once. This problem has been fixed now with pools paying 0.1XMR minimum. The other coins didnt have this problem because diff never went up enough and miners could mine coins easier with less dust.

Because even at 1 satoshi a coin those who get early can always dump their millions coins to retards that buy anything when it pops at an exchange and then just create another coin and so on...

It is a shitcoin for sure but still i dont think it is premined. I got in i think like about one day after it was released and noone was mining it...

726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [CryptoNote] A complete forking guide to create your own CryptoNote currency on: July 07, 2014, 04:29:03 AM
I cannot understand how the CryptoNote team are making such a bad decision whilst also being very intelligent (making CryptoNote in the first place)

The bad decision is this: More clones mean more hashrate spread about thus making all the CryptoNote coins weaker. This is why Satoshi would never advocate hundreds of Bitcoin clones because it harms the overall security of Bitcoin.

The market can support perhaps a handful of coins, but any more and the hashrate dilution starts to seem more like an attack.

I must conclude that the current CryptoNote team are not the original mathematicians and programmers that created CryptoNote and in fact a newer group of people that have inherited the project. This new team are now advocating hashrate dilution that will make each CryptoNote coin more venerable.

There's only one way this can be opposed, the community must vote via their miners a market leader, thankfully Monero now has more hashrate than all the other CryptoNote coins combined and thus a leader has been chosen.

Remember guys and girls, hashrate is very important and not just academic, if all the CryptoNote coins had similar hashrates there could be no market leader as people would be wary of an attack. At the moment it seems that Monero is far more secure than all the other CryptoNote coins.

We should be against hashrate dilution, not advocating it as these "CryptoNote developers" advise.

When this team advocates something that reads like an attack on the security of the CryptoNote ecosystem you have to ask yourself, do these people have our best interests at heart? I say they don't, this move is so immature and dangerous, the only conclusion is that they are not the original creators of CryptoNote but rather a later set of people that have inherited the project and are misinformed.

The monero team is the most active, and they have academics reviewing the code and white paper, they are being more responsible towards CryptoNote than this original team.

When a new clone comes out i just mine it for a day or two before i keep mining what i know is a serious coin, wait for like 10 days for a market to accept it, dump it and then buy with the BTC  i gained the serious one Wink

Coins with nothing new, zero dev support and zero community will just wither or may do small spike before they die...People that mine such just wait for this spike if ever comes and have time to dump. In reality they mostly lose time and money by mining those instead of serious one. I even consider my second day of mining too much...

Ah Dogecoin...if it ever did something it is giving hopes for people to mine whatever shit they find...

Wow, no wonder this coin is so profitable to mine (3x any other major coin).

It's not possible to mine with any older Nvidia cards, and I also failed to get any CPU miner outside "easy-miner" going Sad

What do you mean you failed to get any CPU miner going? Solo or Pool? What OS?
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DSH] Dashcoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity, automated source code) on: July 06, 2014, 01:28:17 AM
Can you clarify a bit more on this #? I don't understand what this means:

Total coins: 18 446 744 073 709 551 616 atomic units (= 184.46 billion DSH)

184.46 billion coins

Only CN coins are relevant with anonymity.

Not in months and closed sourced and with masternodes that can be hacked/owned by bad apples and also need payment. But right now, totally open sourced and with no masternodes or maximum payment.

I support Monero but i also own Boolberry.

P.S. Even if those two coins wont succeed again the true anonymous coin will be a cryptonote one.

why do people still favor Poloniex for trading Monero instead of Mintpal ? It's quite strange, what's wrong with Mintpal ?

Poloniex still has more volume for XMR...
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bytecoin [BCN] vs MONERO [XMR] who will be the winner in the Cryptonote War on: July 02, 2014, 05:49:59 PM
      Bytecoin has been premined 82%.

I don't understand where do you get such information?

If you didn't know about Bytecoin after its launch, then it's your problem. A lot of people still doesn’t know about Bitcoin.

This doesn't prove that the coin was premined

Although its fairly easy for any multicellular organism to understand why Bytecoin is premined or instantmine or whatever here is a link too:

Hey how to send XMR from wallet to poloniex balance? Because I want to sold them. I'm writting transfer 0 (my address) amount of xmr and payment id which I got from poloniex web. Simple wallet showing that I sent them but in poloniex I have nothing for already 30min. What I'm doing wrong?

check for your tx on http://monerochain.info/ . If it is there you have to contact to Poloniex.

Also i think Poloniex needs 18 confirmations. Which means thats around 18 minutes...

I know, GUI wallet is like the holy grail for Monero. Once that's achieved, price will go up like a rocket.

posts like this actually harm a coin... I seriously hope it wont go like a rocket cause then it has to drop like a rocket too

stop being a scardy cat. Not everyone is a tech geek. The average cryptocoin user wants a GUI wallet and thats why monero hasnt expanded far yet.

GUI wallet would help greatly with that. And going up like a rocket doesnt mean itll drop like a rocket either, it would go up and most likely fall after reaching a high point, but when it does fall itll stabilize at a low much higher than the ATH we experienced on poloniex recently.

You need to want innovation, be open to change not against it greekbitcoin....

i am mostly referring to the term "rocket" from an account that was created today...

I hit my limit for the week with a buy at 0035.  Next week I may want more.

i was surprised to see my 0035 order filled overnight, feeling good waking up with 1000 more XMR Smiley

We are both lucky, it seems.  Well, I was watching it like a hawk, so you're luckier.

This is my problem with XMR. I always feel like i NEED to watch the price like a Hawk in order to protect my investment because inflation is so high. I feel I HAVE TO use the volatility of the price in order to increase my stack so XMR can be a good store of value.

I dont need to do this with bitcoin. I dont care about the short term price because it's such a good store of value.

I must be too heavily invested in XMR and this decrease my productivity.

I feel the same but its such a new coin that of course you need to check prices all the time...
