Yeah, after about 3 weeks of solid parlays and bets, I am doing horrible for the past 7-10 days or so...

Hopefully I can get that turned around soon.

About to drop some money on the Thanksgiving NFL games and then go on vacation for the rest of the week!  Casino tonight and tomorrow with the wifey and then festivities for the rest of the week with family.  Can't wait to get the hell out of this office!

Everyone have a good and safe holiday!

I'm looking for around between 5-10 KH/s at a flat rate payment for 1 week. Afterwards I may choose to extend for another week, etc.

I believe you are looking for 5-10 MH/s, correct?

5-10KH/s is like what my iPhone can hash at... maybe less.

I am just wondering...  what altcoin are you wanting to mine?  I have R9 290xs which are great for mining but even at full hash 880+ I'm only looking at making $33 a day mining litecoin :/

how is that even worth it after electricity?

I believe $33 a day is wrong, but if it isn't, then that is a hell of an energy draw considering it costs over $12,000 to power that card for a year!?
763  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: SSD's for sale (Solid State Hard Drives) on: November 26, 2013, 07:23:11 PM
I just purchased a Mushkin 240GB 560W/525R drive for $140 so I think you need to become a little more realistic about your pricing to make any sales.

That Kingston you originally paid $450 for and want $300 for was down to $160 when Newegg had them in stock.

The prices are a bit high, but I am sure he will take reasonable offers.

For example, the 128GB Kingston SSD is only $80 on Amazon, so I am sure he would be willing to come down on that Wink

Just browsed on my phone.  Those look clean!  I like the standalone unit.

I take it if I get the 4 GPU version that it is not as large as the 8 GPU version?  The picture just makes it seem so big and I only currently have 3 GPUs but am looking to get a 4th one very soon.

Good luck!  Let me know if you change your mind.
768  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a .1 BTC Lend on: November 26, 2013, 05:33:57 PM
Why do you need the coins before December 2nd?

What is so urgent that you need .1btc?

want to buy me some Nxt. and other alt coins... Smiley

Also I am sad because I donated .05 BTC when I thought it was an investment... Cry

What kind of coins to you want to buy?  I'd be interested in buying you the coins now and then holding them until you can give me the .1btc on the 2nd.  My interest fees would just be an agreed upon percentage of the alt coins that I purchased for you.

Or, the better option, would probably be just to wait until the 2nd Smiley

Dope song!

I'm on a Paramore kick today for some reason.  I think it's because I saw Hayley Williams nekkid last night...

I will have to check this out when I get home since my stupid work computer is running IE8 and doesn't like your website lol

Definitely looking for a new case though, since the milk-crate is just not very attractive and kind of a pain in the ass to work with!

772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CGMiner - WTF Blue Screen of death? on: November 26, 2013, 03:44:34 PM
Okay, so I am going to try and make this short and sweet (edit:  I failed).  Sunday I was running 2x5850's and mining just fine and dandy...

I went to put in another 5850 that I had just purchased, and I ran into a little bit of a problem with the motherboard design.  It has 5 PCI-E slots, but the power button and the SATA connection are very inconveniently located, so I had to use a riser even though I didn’t want to.  Anyways, I had the riser so no big deal, rigged the 3rd card with some twist ties and rubber bands and cardboard to fit on the outside of the case.  Powered it up, all three cards are spinning.

Next, I figured Windows 7 was going to punch me in the face for adding another video card, and it did, but then I reinstalled Catalyst 13.1 and Windows decided that it liked all three cards and everything seemed to be running fine.

Then I tried my normal pool, Middlecoin, and cgminer would start up, freeze my computer, and then blue screen stop error (see similar image here: http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/system/2008/ibuypower-3waysli/bluescreen.jpg)

I fiddled with it a little more, and still got the same results with Middlecoin…

Now this is where it gets interesting.  After a restart, I try a different pool, an old FTC batch file that I had, and it starts up fine.  Sees all three cards, but only two of them are mining.  The 3rd one is showing like 1200rpms, 0 hashes, and no other reliable figures.

Decided to swap out the 2nd and 3rd cards, and got the same results.  Swapped out the PCI-E riser cable and still got the same results.  Then finally I decided to call it a night and remove the 3rd card.

Now, I tried to start up Middlecoin again, and it still freezes the computer and crashes.

So I was mining my primary pool with 2x5850s, and a few hours later not only did I fail to upgrade to mine my primary with 3x5850s, but I am now just mining my secondary with 2x5850s because I can’t get anything else to work.

FML

TL;DR

/end rant

This story gave me morning wood.  Or maybe the porn on my phone did... either way it's pretty hot up in here.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: November 26, 2013, 03:06:30 PM
Using 2x5850's... was mining on Middlecoin just fine with them, then last night I tried to put another 5850 in the computer.  Something went wrong and I kept getting a Windows fatal blue screen when I was trying to run cgminer... so I removed the 3rd 5850 and now I can't connect to Middlecoin.  So I am currently mining LTC.

If you'd like to try to connect to middlecoin.com:3332, I have it temporarily pointed to just my LTC pool for a few days. To see if it's an issue with another coin, or my pool or the switching aspect.

Alright, I will try and connect to that port later when I get home from work.

I have no idea what happened, but I wish I would have just not messed with my rig last night.  Didn't have a lot of time and rushed through it a little bit so I guess I screwed it up.  Will probably do a fresh install this weekend when I get more time.  Would much rather be on Middlecoin though.  Easiest pool ever for a lazy miner like myself Cheesy

Well hell... i don't know what I did, but I can't get cgminer to mine on middlecoin anymore... going to switch to LTC after messing with it for a couple of hours.

I can connect to a variety of pools, both scrypt and sha256, but it crashes everytime I try to connect to middlecoin

Tried  using both port 3333 and 8080, same results... just tried throwing out my config and using the basic code but not having any luck:

Code:
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -u 1HbrMDYSdYpv864StWzDXyrndVk3ARUzaM -p x

what is your GPU?

Today i will give a pick , a good bet, San francisco 49ers vs Washington redskins Over 47

I like that bet.  Gonna take it.

Also, taking a small bet on Washington ML.  Seen way too many upsets this weekend for me to not give it a whirl.  lol
