7741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Topped out at another 0.618 Fib Retracement. on: September 25, 2018, 09:12:07 PM
This is just another ETF decline but according to SEC "The SEC won’t approve an ETF until there’s significant development "

The postponed was already history. We have seen people bought a lot after the postponement news so I don't think that the current pull back now something to do with SEC.

That is why they are always trying to offer ETF's until SEC decide to approve it.
Well, this is just a normal fall so it won't break the support at $6k and possibly the price of bitcoin can recovery back as soon as another event coming.

Yes, we can call this normal as we have seen traps being set by whales and manipulators. They just decided to cash it out in the last couple of days and nothing more. After this downward trend, they will push it back again. Rinse and repeat. Players will be players and they have set the rules.
7742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YOU CANNOT EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT. on: September 25, 2018, 08:27:10 PM
The price of bitcoin is red on the market so you want to do panic selling?
Trust me, if you get scared today and sell your bitcoins, and the market gets better tomorrow, what happens?

You cannot eat your cake and have it back.

I don't think that there is a panic. What we are witnessing are speculators and smart investors who invested at around $6200-$6300 taking profits and cashing it out.

Those noobs are already out of the market when the price hits below 5 digits. As to what happens, just like what happens in the last couple of months. Manipulation.

Big players are setting up a bull run and bot traders already put their orders in place. So its a avalanche and after effects that's why the price goes down in the last 48 hours.
7743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: September 25, 2018, 08:11:08 PM
Most of time we are trying to figure out why prices are down and that's the truth, but we generally do not feel like enquiring much when prices rise and we all sit taking our gadgets or desktop in any crpto exchange. So its better we do thorough research on both price rising and falling.

Of course, people have that tendency not to care if the price is going up because that's what we all have been wanted to see. That's why I do like what had happen to us this year. Its a good lessons for us.

News will be news after-all they are just simple fortelling and sometimes fud.
We need to understand the technology and hold/hodl strong for what we believe in,after-all crypto is something which will always be circulating in the market and remember there will always be someone somewhere who is trying to evade taxes LOL.... Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

The problem is that investors usually newbie tend to fall to FUD and majority of them really don't understand how risky investing in crypto is. They didn't do their homework and just wasted their money by throwing on the market and not understand how the system operates.

7745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC currency unit is too complicated to accepted widely. on: September 22, 2018, 03:45:26 PM
I notice when i explain "what is bitcoin and how bitcoin will become the huge payment system" to my wife(who didnt know anything about bitcoin). Then she states something that i want to share. Its from newbie in cryptos yet experienced in bank economic.

Do you think bitcoin wont be accepted with so many zeros in BTC or satoshi unit? For the price to be used in daily payment. BTC is so complicated to understand widely. Think this with a point of very low degree of education.

You have a point. However, you cite you one example and I think most of us can relate to this. When I was starting in my bitcoin journey, I was also confused, I also make a lot of mistakes. But as I explore more and understand how it works, I got the feel of it. What I'm trying to say is that it could be hard in the beginning, but as you familiarized with the terms and the 0's and satoshi's and 0.01BTC, its gonna be easy and its not complicated as others have been portraying it for years.

I think we need to invent something more stupid-free in btc currency unit.
Kindly share your thoughts. 😊

Nope. Bitcoin is fine.

7747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VanEck SolidX ETF proposal decision now extended on: September 20, 2018, 11:22:04 PM
Everyone is expecting for the extended SEC decision about the ETF and I think the market will not react on this news. Hopefully not so we can start to pump now slowly but surely until the end of 2018. This news creates so much hype in the past and hopefully, its different trend now.

If you go around the forum you will see a lot of members already anticipated either a declined or another extension. So I'm not surprised by the decision of SEC to extend and review the proposal up to end of this year. People gets tired of this, majority shouldn't be affected by this news because it looks like it will be rejected anyways.

People (or rather traders/investors) are reading this as the SEC is actually considering the proposal, otherwise, it would have outright rejected it like it did with the 9 ETF proposals filed by ProShares, Direxion, and GraniteShares on August 22nd, 2018. Regardless, I think we might see red next week.

Let's see if we are going to be red in the next couple of days. I hope though that those who entered and boost the price from $6100-$6500 won't just dump because of this news.
7748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: September 20, 2018, 10:50:58 PM
Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading?

Everyone needs money right? So why are you getting tired of making money? Or are you at a total lost because the market is really harsh to do some trading specially when all the whales do is manipulate the price?

i hard to say when you sometimes tired from trading or have stress from ico or lose part of deposit. What you do to relax refresh youself and get inspiration for new trade. How much time you need to refresh youself for new hight.

I wouldn't call this inspiration or something, but if I wanted to get the stress out, I just play on my favorite online game or go to casino to have some fun, of course losing money is not good, that's why I only bring money that I can afford to lose so at the end of the day, I'm not worried if I lost, at least I get some fun going out with friends in casinos. hehehe.
7749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Increased Number of Scammers on: September 18, 2018, 08:26:25 PM
Due to the increased popularity of cryptocurrencies, there has been an increased number of scammers both in terms of ICOs and in social media. You would find "official" representatives that would "propose lucrative deals" in the name of the legit company. There is only one result as a consequence - you losing your assets.

"If it's too good to be true", so don't fall for this trap. Used your common sense and don't be greedy as well. Scammers are out there, offering you lucrative deals but you have to ask your self, if this realistic? If you think that its not then don't involved yourself.

Thus, always keep in mind that real official channels of communications work. Also, if you see those posts in social media promising returns without a legit background (a.k.a. a full-blown platform) is a sure way to lose money. Creating bots on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram is quite easy these days. Make sure not to repeat mistakes that others made before you https://www.cryptocointrade.com/
Not to mention mining pools and app scams going on right now. Some of the Facebook groups that were excellent in terms of trading discussions now turned into scam marketing sites.

That's why you really need to be careful, not just for scammers but for phishing links as well. Sometimes its healthy to lose, to give you a valuable lessons. Personally, I fall for a HYIP early in my crypto journey, its a rude awaking on my end so I became very suspicious of everything I see. If I wanted to invest, I also do my own research first and see if its legit or not.
7750  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Worst thing to be happen after KYC gone to wrong hand.? on: September 16, 2018, 05:41:29 PM
Submit KYC is must for some ICO`s .If things getting bad What can they do to our identification documents. What will be the worst possible things to be happen to us.

If ICO's chooses a third party to handle all the KYC's there's a chance that your personal data can end up in the wrong hands. What I mean that if those third party chooses to sell all your data in the black market or dark web then its possible your information can be leaked and be used for illegal activities.

You can also read about a ICO getting hacked thus exposing a lot of data in the process:

7751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does anyone care about BTC ETF? on: September 16, 2018, 10:21:41 AM
Of course, many people care about it as the impact will be significant, but not everyone expects bitcoin ETF to be accepted though.

Significant but unlikely to be sustainable. We might see another bubble to form if SEC approves it.

Some say ETF could harm the bitcoin market and others contrarily, but one thing for sure is traditional financial institutions and more investors will acknowledge bitcoin and brings a huge influx of money to the market. Nevertheless, the chances of an ETF proposal get accepted are small due to SEC wants the proposals in some way deterring fraud and manipulation but the vast majority of bitcoin trading occurs outside of the US, which means there is no way to ensure protection against manipulation.

It could really harm the market in long term.  as I have mentioned their might be a sudden influx, tons of money being push into the ecosystem, but I doubt that it going to be a sustained growth. We will give institutional investors or custodians powers that at the end manipulation will be very obvious that might sway away casual investors.
7752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo vs. GGG 2 Discussion Thread, WHO YOU GOT? on: September 16, 2018, 09:43:23 AM
How can this controversy affect the upcoming Manny vs Money 2?

Boxing is a dying sport. Vladimir Klitschko is making far less today than Mike Tyson made in the 1980s and 1990s without adjusting for decades of inflation. Boxing promoters like Oscar De La Hoya are beginning to creep into mixed martial arts promoting due to the lack of stars in boxing. AFAIK Don King, Bob Arum and other big name historical boxing promoters don't even bother with the sport anymore.

I don't know if we can call the sports dying, but if everyone is not aware, there are talks the boxing might be removed by IOC in Olympics, the reason - boxing judges are biased or to say the least are being paid. So if this happens, then we might see a declined of the sports. Similar to what we seen today, it looks like something from behind works his magic.

I could easily see Manny vs Money 2 being like another GGG vs Canelo. Vegas judges have robbed Manny in the past vs Timothy Bradley. Vegas also shows a considerable amount of favortism towards Floyd Mayweather whenever he fights.

Floyd is from Las Vegas, so I'm assumed that they love him there and that's why he always wanted to fight in his hometown.
7753  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) - thread on: September 15, 2018, 03:27:58 PM
Maybe there should be some sort of special archive or a sub board of Archive for truly memorable/classic threads that deserve a place in bitcointalk history. One like this and the laszlo pizza thread probably should be locked as they just get bumped from time to time and are then inevitably filled with crap from sig spammers. The community could vote on which ones are worthy or not, but it is kinda of pointless leaving them open, especially when they just get filled with rubbish from spammers looking for another thread to shit in to meet their quota.

Yes that's exactly what I wanted to achieved. We don't need to see those legendary threads being trashed by shit posters and spammers.
7754  Other / Meta / Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) - thread on: September 14, 2018, 11:22:20 AM
Can I suggest that the mods locked Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney)

Noticed that the last couple of post was just pure spammed (newbies->jr member) and I even saw merit being given away. Out of respect to the Legend himself, locked it but the thread should be sticked though so that newbies will have a idea who Hal is and contributions he did for Bitcoin.

7757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will become zero value? on: September 12, 2018, 11:27:33 PM
I wouldn't say that Ethereum will become zero value. Although it will be a tough ride for Ethereum because of the continue dumping that started in 2nd quarter of this year. I don't mean to scare anyone but you can read a good article about the recent crash and the next possible scenario:

https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/09/11/ethereum-downtrend-might-not-be-over-yet-actual-ico-sell-off-expected/

Quote
As per data from Santiment, a leading crypto analytics provider, compiled by the researcher, ICOs have spent over $30 million worth of raised Ethereum in the past week, or 153,500 ETH to be exact. Although “spent” has multiple meanings in the context of blockchain-backed assets, it can be assumed that a majority of the 153,500 ETH were sold on spot market exchanges so that projects could secure fiat for their war chests.

So for Ethereum holders, specially those who bought around $300, you don't have a choice but to hold for a long time.
7758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin ready to pump (september 2018)? on: September 12, 2018, 10:23:47 AM
We can pump bitcoin if we want, but because until now a lot of people who are panic so the price expect until now is very low and we can buy more bitcoin if we want and for sure we will see again bitcoin will blooom.

Definitely we can pump it but the question is where is the money coming from? Investors are reluctant because of the current situations and if you look at the graph, there are times that we might see and test lower levels again. We are trading sideways again so it go are long as 7 days before we can clearly see which path the price would go. Been trying to break the $6300 barrier but every time we have made a gain, it will go back below again.

All this pump talk is just talk.  I wouldn't risk money into Bitcoin at the present time unless I was one of those day trader types of folk.  And then you'd have to be really lucky or have insider knowledge.

That's ok, its you prerogative to be afraid and not enter the market. But if you are going to look at the bright side, isn't it a golden opportunity to buy at this point because its cheap and its almost close to the last bottom price by just $400? And there's no insider information here, everything is based on speculation and FUD and fake news. opportunity here can knock many times, its up to us to whether to take advantage or not.
7759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines grants licence to PDAX crypto exchange on: September 11, 2018, 11:43:49 PM
Expect more cryptoexchange in the Philippines soon. I heard about NEM and Loyalcoin is very active in Philippines and its good to have that kind of coins. This is a great start for the Philippines, Filipinos will find their way now to own cryptos, hopefully most of them learned a lot from the scammers recently happened in the Philippines.

The scammers that run off with billions of pesos has nothing to do with the exchange, its a Ponzi scheme, while making money in a exchange like PDAX is legit. But yeah, more crypto exchanges is coming 3 or 4 if I'm not mistaken so this is great news indeed.

I also agree with @kingcolex, might not put a dent on price, but it will all sum up when every small nation go full crypto and embrace it.

And this kind of opportunity should be taken advantage of Filipinos, I'm sure that there will be a lot of paid and free seminars that will pop up in the next couple of months to cover crypto trading.
7760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best 5 X now is ETH to :D on: September 10, 2018, 10:24:33 AM
what you think, eth have pottential to 5 X ?

its only 1000$ per token.

Obviously at the current price of ETH you can simply afford to buy 1 and see how it goes. For me ETH price reflects how the market sentiments is going, everyone just dumping without thinking of long term goals. So if you are in for the long haul, then ETH is the best coin right now to give you X amount of returns in the future.

Nothing is appealing right now  Grin

Yes, that's why I said that if you wanted to go long, ETH is good. Remember that ETH has a good backing and its fundamentals is better than bitcoin. Its not appealing because we are in the bear market. But once we roll out and started a bull-run, you will go back and says that you should have invest while everything is cheap. This is the right time, don't let it slip away.
