8641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Gold schedule Fork on: October 24, 2017, 03:36:27 AM
Guys,

It is just me or others doesn't have the same anticipation on this fork as compare to Aug. 1?

The forum was full of anticipation on the Bitcoin Cash before, but I don't feel any with the Bitcoin Gold? Previously, I felt that the forum was lively and there's a lot of discussions on Bitcoin Cash before, and almost everyone is updating what's the current situation of the fork and what blocks are we before the fork. But with this Bitcoin Gold, all members just want to get this free coins and dump it hard. And some have even stay late to be part of history.

But why with this fork everyone is not excited?
8642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin unstoppable now on: October 24, 2017, 01:17:46 AM
China cracks down, Japan moves in.I think bitcoin cannot destroy.Bitcoin now unstoppable and its  price near 6k and hope bitcoin will be hit 10k this year. Smiley Smiley Smiley
As long as there are countries with different incentives there is going to be room for bitcoin to exist and to thrive, China is realizing bitcoin is going to be a lot bigger than they thought and now are trying to close that door to their citizens but even if they were successful other countries are going to take the opportunity since they see what bitcoin will become and they are willing to go with it as long as they get profits and benefits as well.

China closing their doors on bitcoin is more of a political decision I think, they know that its growing and can't be controlled once it reached its peak, so its better to shot it down today when they still have a firm grip. But bitcoin and other countries think otherwise, like Japan you mentioned. They see a lot of positive benefits that it can bring to their country in terms of growth in economy. So it make sense for them to embrace bitcoin. There's really no way that a country can really stop what China or Russia is currently advocating against bitcoin.
8643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when bitcoins are lost on: October 23, 2017, 11:49:00 PM
When you loses wallet, it has the effect of removing money out of circulation. Lost bitcoins still remain in the block chain just like any other bitcoins. However, lost bitcoins remain dormant forever because there is no way for anybody to find the private key(s) that would allow them to be spent again. Because of the law of supply and demand, when fewer bitcoins are available, the ones that are left will be in higher demand and increase in value to compensate.

Yes, if you lose your wallet together with your private keys, your bitcoins will be lost forever, in oblivion. However, there might be a chance to find the private key in the future once more sophisticated super computers can break and hack your wallet. And yes, as per supply and demand, with less the 2 million bitcoins to be mined, but the demand is even higher in the next 5 years, its pretty obvious that the current price can double or triple in the future.
8644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market will fall today, how to predict?? on: October 23, 2017, 01:17:16 PM
On which things does this crypto market depends?
How to predict that market is going to crash today?

Again, its really hard to predict if the market will fall or crash today. But it looks like there's another correction prior to October 25. For me its a normal process that bitcoin market undergoes. We still have a few days or hours before the looming fork, maybe investors are afraid of it or they are simply cashing out because the last few days we are reaching the highest price ever. And if ever the price will crash today, it will be just temporary and bitcoin will recovery again. No need to worry, just hodl on your coins and relax. And no need to panic sell as well.
8645  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-23] Russia Promises Regulation Will Not Kill ICOs on: October 23, 2017, 12:09:19 PM
Nah. Russia is looking foolish by every news coming from them regarding bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Everything coming from them always contradictory. That's why you have to take everything with a grain of salt. I will insists on my believed that they are really against crypto's and will be putting a ban hammer sooner or later. The way they contradict themselves is a sign that government policy is not align and favorable to cryptocurrency. Let's wait for a few days and you will hear another news coming from them saying crypto is bad and can't be controlled.
8646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friend gives wallet seed to stranger and bitcoins disappear from his wallet on: October 23, 2017, 11:38:22 AM

A friend who asked for instructions on how to use certain features of his wallet, was apparently tricked into divulging his seed to a stranger, and now his 2.6 btc are missing from the wallet, and so is the stranger. Does he have any recourse?

I'm sorry but bitcoin transaction is irreversible. There's no other way to refund it if that what's you mean. That's why we need to protect at the highest level our private keys because once we give it to a total stranger, your bitcoin is good as gone. Why does your friend trust a total stranger to begin with. I can't fathom that someone will totally divulge your private keys. And 2.6 BTC is damn high amount to be scammed. Its gonna be painful but let this be a lessons learn for you and your friend. That's why we always preached hear to protect your wallet and your private keys or seeds.
8647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD WE START LOOKING ELSE WHERE on: October 23, 2017, 10:34:31 AM
With all the negative news going around about bitcoin coursing a lot of panic and anxiety....do you this its time to look else where for a guarantee investment?
i mean may be eth doge etc....

Looking back at the date of the OP's thread it is just over a month now. However, its no longer applicable because bitcoin has already forgotten all the negative things behind like the China news and the Dimon attack. Although sometimes its so funny how people have doubted bitcoin when theirs such a crisis. So for those who have read the thread, my advise is not to panic and fell anxious when things didn't went our way. Just remember that bitcoin has proven its resiliency and there's no need to question or even doubt for a minutes. If you have follow and look for other investment back then, I assumed you have regretting that decision by now.
8648  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: What is the cheapest way to send bitcoin from electrum? on: October 23, 2017, 09:11:09 AM
Hi i am new to electrum wallet, what i can see even if minimize the fees in the wallet it still very high fees to send ,How to minimize that to .10 cents ?
http://icecream.me/c7fa778ae0660ce17ad98ba9b973bb1d
please see the image.
I have .0129 btc but i can only sent 0.0127244 btc that is almost 1.28usd in fees .
I know people are sending transaction with .10cents .
I just want to know how.
Help is really appreciated

Use this website to guide you on what fee's you need to make : https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

However, if you try to used lower fee, you might have to wait a little longer to see the incoming bitcoins to your wallet. Electrum has built in features to adjust you fees, usually I pay in the next 10 blocks. .10 cents is not worth it though, you need to pay a decent fee mate, otherwise you will be frustrated because the miners might not pick up your transaction because the fees are too little.
8649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: QTUM is real ETHEREUM killer x50 rise potential on: October 23, 2017, 07:30:47 AM
Qtum is really a good coin with prospects for growth! The ethereum is now on horseback! But soon people will understand that there are coins with better properties. Ethereum is a well-advertised project. Soon everything will change

I still remember Qtum in February I think when it went up and it was one of the best during that time and a lot of hype surrounding it. However, there was a lot of accusations and I'm not sure how do the team weathered the storm. And then it was a roller coaster ride since then. But I do believed that the coin is not a scam and the team behind has worked hard to reach this far. And yes, I agree that it is not a Ethereum killer but rather a project can co injects something in the ecosytem.

8651  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Crash! on: October 23, 2017, 03:07:01 AM
I am happy as you all for reaching $6000.
But I am worry about the crash in 2018!
Reason:
1- Only bitcoin from all cryptocurrency is moving far far away from all other coins.
2- Ether is moving slowly up and steady.
3- As we are all aware 2/3 of all high profile ICO either are scams, or legally scams to be announced.
4- At least 3 from $50m + raised ICO are having problem executing!
5- EXCHANGES..EXCHANGES...EXCHANGES...THESE ARE THE TICKING BOMBS..

Then we have to worry once we get there. And thanks for being happy for reaching $6000 and we are all happy as well. But we are not worried for the crash. We know the risk that's why we have taken it and it looks like it been a gamble that have payed already. We have already a lot of discussions about Ether and it looks like its not even closer to its previous highs. It can't even go to $400 levels now. You don't you worry about the crash in 2018 or even in the future. And I'm sure if even bitcoin crash, Ether will crash first before bitcoin.
8652  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-22] Seven Japanese Bitcoin Exchanges Announce Bitcoin Gold Hard Fork Pl on: October 23, 2017, 02:35:33 AM
Good decision for some Japanese exchanges to announced early about the Bitcoin gold fork stance. It will still be under the radar and they seems to be on a wait and see stage. Although of course we all want to get this free coins but if it not stable then how can the exchange support it? I also admire that it will just take 1 week to make a decision. Because I know a exchanges that took them 1 month to make decisions to support bitcoin cash before and up to know they are not yet giving the free coins to their customers. And now another fork is looming, so I think it will take time for this exchanges to make decisions regarding the support on Bitcoin Gold.
8653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does The Bitcoin Price Move So Much? on: October 23, 2017, 02:04:24 AM
There's no surprise in the price of bitcoin because the market is based on pure speculation. Maybe today we have a breath of good news that's why the price is going up today, but a sudden negative publicity will turn the price red in matter of minutes or hours if investors panicked. So that's' one reason as to why the price moved so much. Then there also the basic economic law, supply and demand. If the supply is limited but the demand from the market is big, then it will moved the price as well, and so as the opposite, more supply less demand equals low price.
8654  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin can hit 7000$ before end of this year on: October 22, 2017, 02:27:53 AM
Can bitcoin reach 7000$ before December?
What do you think?
I think it will.
It appears that Bitcoin having a market value of 7000 before this year end, is possible. We can see that Bitcoin's value is continuously increasing by now. If it will continue and nothing bad happen because of the hardfork in November, Bitcoin could be priced at 7000 or more. We can compare this possibility on what happened last month of August. So ,yes, it is possible.

Basing on the graphs and market trends its really possible to hit $7K and the end of the year. There a looming fork in Nov I think it will contribute to the price going to that level. I think investors have fully trusted the system already, we are in a point that we need more people to come in and join the party so that we the price can be pushed further. In this scenario has be realized, then our future looks really bright $7k-$10k is within our hands. And if you look at all the market predictors, they are looking above $7K at the end of the month and starting 2018.
8655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Palm beach confidential predicts 7000% gain for ZenCash on: October 20, 2017, 08:22:00 AM
Teeka Tiwari from Palm beach confidential  who predicted gains on ethereum, neo, monero etc says that ZEN will grow 7000% with 1 or two year.

Full report

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fjmjbdx1xoj6382/Three_Ex_Government_Agents_Just_.pdf?dl=0

Wow what a prediction, 7000% increased is quite huge. Though I also never heard of Palm Beach confidential. Maybe they are just hyping the coins because they are a bag holder. Zen has been slumping so I don't know what is the future of this coins until I heard it from you. Well 1 to 2 years hodling is a really long time but if the predictions came true then you are all laughing and telling your self "I told you so" when withdrawing your funds. Unfortunately, I'm not jumping though, sorry but I have enough of crap lately from those bullish analyst that I would prefer to stick with bitcoin for now.
8656  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Almighty bitcoin" still pushing on: October 20, 2017, 07:52:06 AM
We are currently at $5,657 according to the data from https://coinmarketcap.com. we may get to $6000 before end for this week. We even got a lots of FUD from Russia and wall street yesterday but bitcoins make a gained of over  $700 that same yesterday. Less we forgot "bitcoin is really a blessing to all of us here" we should be ever be appreciated to blockchain technology. This is a system that governments has no power over and a system that creates economic equality. I have benefited from this great system and bitcoin is actually still pushing.

I think bitcoin will start decrease on upcoming fork just like it did when BCH occur.
As for now, bitcoin keep increase so if you have reach some profit, than it's time to sell some of them and purchase cheap price on 1 week after fork.

Its still trading above $5600 clear indication that the price is not going to increase, or if is going to, maybe just a couple of days before the actual fork similar to Bitcoin Cash. I think most of the traders have already cash-in during the slumping about a few days ago and then are not going back to the market but keep on watching it for possible opportunity to buy it at cheap and do shorting. Let's just enjoy the ride going on the hard and maybe just do a proper response to the market, (buy with their is a dip, hold when the price is going up.)
8657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: October 20, 2017, 07:10:38 AM
Ive been wrong that i withdraw all my earnings on trading ..
i learned that ..must have patience in holding then exchanging it times 10 from the day I bought my alts..
hmm .. too bad for me now bitcoins is still aiming high ..

Holding is better but in many cases, I have even seen some people regretting their holds for too long.
You should really know when to stop hodling, because there were many coins that were bought very expensive (that follows the rule that when someone wins, someone has to lose and the same applies in trading) like DGB, BTS (I am still in favor of this), XEM, AMP that are almost 10-20 times less their peak prices. It's good to hodl, but it's smart to get yourself out of the coin at the right time. It's better to sell between and cut your losses that may occur in "future" when the coins you hold get dumped even more and you regret over your decision.

I think earlier years its really good to hold on your bitcoin because the price is not the spiking. But year-to-year, bitcoin has spike like 500% that's why its really hard to hold. Sometimes you need to cash out and take profit. Otherwise you won't realized your full profit and the real potential of your money.

I don't think you need to cut your losses if you are a hodler for a long time. But yeah, selling from time to time will also reignite the ecosystem and your coins in the circulation again and others will have the opportunity to get it some coins.
8658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Link has contract with SONY and AXA this is yuugeee news on: October 20, 2017, 03:17:32 AM
Link is down 12% but there's many positive indicators.. for instance top 50 accounts aren't selling, number of wallets is growing and now over 11000, and now this confirmations about their cooperation with sony and axa.. looks like a good buy at this price.

Maybe that is a good indicator that Link is really for long term hold. And if this news reaches new investors, then it can rebound and up in no time. Look at Stratis, when it partnered with IBM that price suddenly reaches new heights and those bagholders are all smiling cashing them out.

As it keeps getting more exposure will we certainly see more followers. The premise alone has the ability to lure fiat investors into crypto.

This is what I was meant. If these positive news quickly goes up and it was exposed to different kind of investors. It will lure them up and invest on it. That's why we here have the chance to get in while the price is still down. Otherwise it will be late for most of us.
8659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You in Favor to Register Your BTC Address to Trace Transaction and Tax??? on: October 20, 2017, 02:05:06 AM
Are you in favor to register your BTC Wallet address to trace transactions and impose taxed it?  It is a big subject now amongst lawmakers to trace down income and transaction about bitcoins.   This has become the talk of the people involved in digital currency lately.  So, What do you think?Huh

What kind of absurd idea is this? Bitcoin address is not and should not be tied to any names. That's how it was design and giving up your privileges for being pseudo-anonymous will not be good for you. Those proponent of this doesn't know a single thing about bitcoin. Actually this has been used by a lot of trading platforms, asking your data for KYC/AML compliant. That is if you are going to exchange your bitcoin to fiat. However, if you kept it in a wallet like Core or Electrum there should be name association. And this will not gain traction from the community. This is a bad idea to begin with.
8660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 10.000 btc pizza... on: October 20, 2017, 12:55:47 AM
You know what, people really understand what bitcoin is: a currency.
People who are surprised by such expenses do not understand what bitcoin is, they consider bitcoin as an investment that should make them rich in bitcoin if you think so.
of course we all know that bitcoin is on the rise and we all take the big advantage but if everyone sees bitcoin just as an investment to make a profit, bigger I am sure there are still many advantages Bitcoin increases because this is currency not because it is investment ..

At that time no one could predict has bitcoin would evolved. And he did the right thing, he used bitcoin as payment method to bought his favorite pizza. No one can question his decision on that. Yes, bitcoin has already surging however, his action wasn't wrong. And I don't know if he still made sudden appearance here, But I know the guy is now Legendary and maybe his action really push bitcoin one step further to what we are enjoying today.
