8701  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-08] Indian Self-Drive Car Rental Firm Beats Uber in Bitcoin Adoption on: October 08, 2017, 01:28:14 PM
Indians want to get everything and be the first to lead the innovation. I also read that there was one restaurant who are also accepting bitcoin. And it this becomes successful, we might, I say we might see Uber or Grab also followed suit. All eyes are now at this Indian company experiment. And they have like hedge against volatility by getting Unocoin to manage the risk for them. Let's see how will this experiment turn into. I hope this will be a success and the much needed mass adoption will be closer than ever.
8702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: October 08, 2017, 01:04:54 PM
What makes people compel to hold the bitcoin in this critical situation? What are they waiting for? Any good reason?

Most probably those people are investors who do the long term goal. They do not care how low would the value of bitcoin decrease because they are aiming for the long term and they knew that the decrease would be temporary and it will recover in the coming years.

There are really investors here who put a lot of money in bitcoin for the long haul. Those investors care for the value of bitcoin, but they are not scared if the price of bitcoin goes down. They don't panic. And they understand that it is part of the system. Bitcoin will not be bullish everytime and even it would decrease they still hold and hope that bitcoin can recover and will go further than the previous price. That is their mindset. Their investment is like 1 or more years in bitcoin.
8703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: October 08, 2017, 12:44:35 PM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?

I have a schedule for each activity to manage it well. In trading, it needs an hour to scan the charts and only need a minute to execute and after that I will just exit the market because I already have a conditional order in place in case the trade doesn't go my way and I just view the charts from time to time. After that I would proceed to do the campaign which may take up to an hour or two depending on how fast I can process the information to write the posts. Since I joined some social media campaigns of some ICOs, I would summarize it in an excel of what are the things that should be done for the day like reporting your posts or sharing it in social media sites.
I admire that you are a hardworking man you do a certain task every hour and i do think that you are a a fulltime bitcoiners or in the internet making money and you  time management is well divided by the hours of what you should be do for that particular hour.
I have a problem not only in time beacause i do have many works and i dont have a time management

Yeah it is very important to manage your time especially when you have a regular job, family to care and while working BTC. When you manage your time it very useful to plot your daily activities into a Gantt chart or just simple checklist were you can check from time to time to determine your activities if you are in the right track on that way you cannot missed single activity not being perform.

Yes, every minute counts if you have a lot of activity in your hands. Like family, business and even for you own as well. So I always right everything in the morning what are my daily activity while checking the price of bitcoin. If I like to trade then I will execute sell or buy orders. Then run into my business and there were I will continue my trading activity for the rest of the day. Then pick up kids have a chat with the family then call it a day. Its really hard but if you know how to prioritizes then it makes your life easier.
8704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine whether it's scam or not? on: October 08, 2017, 12:30:32 PM
There are lots of projects doing ICO.
As an investor of cryptocurrency, you might have some critical points of determination on you will go into ICO or not. What's the most important factor you decide to participate on ICO? And how do you judge the scam?
Please share your opinions. Smiley

You can't really judge an ICO if it is a scam. You need to look at who is behind the project. Are they trusted? Do the people involved is shady? How about the white paper? Is it professional written? What's their roadmap? How is the token divided amongst in investors? There are a lot of factors that you really need to look at if you are going to invest in a ICO. You have to be careful before giving them out your money.
8705  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is a roller coaster on: October 08, 2017, 11:33:22 AM
Yes bitcoin is a rollercoster that when it goes down it goes all the way up again and even higher than that if you mean that by rollercoaster becuase bitcoin has never let me down and i still trust it as much as day one.
That trend did not change, we can master buying at dip and selling at peak to make easy money.
Everything is easy although investing and trading with bitcoin is a high risk but if you believe and understands the market you can take advantage of the weak hands selling cheap bitcoins, this would give money in short term and having a good capital is better so we can maximize our income.

Yeah. buying is dip and selling high is the motto here. But you need to always have the funds ready in case the price drip significantly. This is the advantage to us casuals investors of whalers, they have big capital to begin with that's why they can really manipulate the price the way they want it to go. Weak hands are shaken in those kind of situations. But for most of us that recognized what's is going on, we hold and then buy it a discount price.
8706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where does your biggest return come from, in cryptocurrency ? on: October 08, 2017, 10:56:59 AM
It is still bitcoin for me. My strategy is to buy in dips. And then hold. I had a few investment in ICO around April I think but I dump it. But boy I was wrong because after a few months it was listed in an exchange and it went to x10 or more. But that's good no regrets on my end. Currently I still have a token that I bought and I'm gonna hold it for like 6 months and see how will it evolved. I'm satisfied my with bitcoin holding so I guess I'll stick to it and get it when the price is at discount. I'll start fresh next year.
8707  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-06] Bitcoin Price Likely to Hit $5,000 If SegWit2x Support Declines on: October 07, 2017, 06:15:30 PM
It seems to me that the next SegWit2x will not affect bitcoin. The price is already going up and by the end of the year it will be above 5000. SegWit2x no longer causes people's fuss, so everything will go quietly

It's far too early to say that, especially when you consider that the 2MB hard fork is still a distant event. It wouldn't really surprise me to see the real panic kick in (if it's going to kick in) when we're just a week or two away from the actual block number the fork will happen, or is supposed to happen, more precisely said. At this point basically anything can happen, and that's exactly a reason as to why we might be going through a heavy load of uncertainties, which in its turn significantly raises the chances that it will negatively affect the market. Don't cheer too soon. Wink

I think the panic will kick in days before the actual implementation if it will really push through. It is still up in the air. So we can't really say want's gonna happen until the day and the next day to see the actual impact to the market. I remain to be positive that if ever this will go through that bitcoin can go further. Although one thing I noticed is that there's no fuzz in he forum unlike in the Aug 1 split where you can smell from a far FUD mongers.
8708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Authorship scammed it investor's? on: October 07, 2017, 05:45:44 PM
Since the end of the ICO, Authorship has been having alot of problem..they decide to take a break for a week.it now more than a week and we haven't heard anything from them..they provided that the starting price of ATS was supposed to be 0.15$.but ATS is presently trading at 0.0011$ @ etherdelta. PeterAuthorship https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1091771 I think your nap time is now over.come back and finish what you started.

Looks like that's their exit strategy. I looked at the end thread and a lot of member are fuming mad for not receiving their tokens. But the problem is some says they did. Its so confusing. And its more than a week after the cooldown and still no sign of Peter or who ever that person it. This is a example why Chinese wants to banned ICO. There are no protection from those scammers. Sad to say, I think you should moved forward now. The guy won't surface anytime soon.
8709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO - long term hold on: October 07, 2017, 09:11:11 AM
NEO is always cool coin for me.I bought 300 NEO when price was $20 i hold long term investment. Now something dump NEO but i hope after in this year start huge increase. NEO is bright future coin i think.

It went as high as $30 I think. But it faces a slump when the Chinese announcement banning of ICO but have soon recovered. I also have NEO but I'm holding it for long term that's why I seldom check the price of it. If you are saying that there is a dump, then probably I will buy more because I truly believed that it has bright future and could go even $50 or more once again. As to the OP, Yes, its a good catch if you are able to buy NEO during this dump and just hold on it for about 6 months to a 1 year and see how it goes for you.
8710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The hapiness of a green profit on: October 07, 2017, 08:57:08 AM
starting gamble with faucet is good to test the particular gambling sites although on my experience the results from play with faucet always be red but currently i didn't gamble too much and usually i did gamble with small amount to test my luck and if i'm luck then i would withdraw my winning immediately but if i'm lost then that would be just fine because only lost for small amount however regarding the results during my gamble very unfortunate i have red not green

Yes, I have never had a green with using a faucet. Well its a good experience if you are just a beginner, but if you really into gambling faucet money is not enough. You need to deposit your own money to call it a gambling and enjoy the ride when you see a green. You can't even withdraw money from faucet because it would like x100 before you reach the minimum withdrawal. So don't expect a green if you just rely on faucet. And I highly doubt that you can reach to the point that you can withdraw it.
8711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Endorsed Cryptocurrency on: October 07, 2017, 08:05:20 AM
Stox: Floyd Mayweather, Luis Suarez, Liang Tian
Centra: Floyd Mayweather, DJ Khaled
Cobin Hood: Jamie Foxx.
The Game (Rapper): Paragon
Max Keiser: Maxcoin
Paris Hilton: Lydian Coin

Whats your take on celebrity endorsements with the crypto world? Do you think it actually helps? Question is how many fans actually know and care about crypto to actually invest??

I am sure they have no idea on what they are endorsing what the project is all about or how it works. Celebrities will do anything to always be in the news because this  will mean more money in their bank account. And the primary purpose of involving them, is just to give it a face just like how cocacola will bring a celeb to be be a brand ambassador and nothing else is attached just to get paid for their service whether in cash or in kind.

Of course they don't even have a clue as to what crypto currency is. LOL. They are just hired to promote because they have a loyal fan based. So it will have a positive effect on the coins that they are promoting. Those fans will do anything for their idol like Floyd and Paris Hilton. If those two said in their twitter to buy the coins they are promoting, are sure those dumbnuts will get it without blinking eye. That's how influential they are. So its gonna be a win-win for both the celebrity endorser and the coins itself.
8712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CASH is probably DYING on: October 07, 2017, 07:32:47 AM
The BCH holder are surely preparing for the upcoming bitcoingold and this could split and make the bitcoin cash go down and we can already see that the volume of it goes down slowly and this maybe affected of the upcoming fork but let see how Bitcoin Cash supporters reacts unto this since we doesn't really know how this support goes.
Because no one doesn't want to get the free bucks just hold your bitcoin in the wallet or hold em all in the exchange site that gives your bitcoin gold in the future. many people are not wanna missing this chance.

The same scenario will be happen when bitcoin cash coming out and I'm sure that many people are preparing to have some balance to get the opportunity to received some bitcoin gold to their wallets and I don't want to miss the chance also since this is once and there's no second splitted airdrop will be happen again with bitcoin gold.

True. The same scenario will played out with Bitcoing Gold. There was a big hype when the incoming Bitcoin Cash was release. A lot of FUD, saying that it is the original "Bitcoin".  So we don't want to miss it, and its a free coin. However, once we get this free coins, it will be dump to the market immediately and most of us will go back to Bitcoin once again. Its really a chance for all of us to get it for free and everybody loves free coins. But it will surely be forgotten like Bitcoin Cash because we favor Bitcoin instead.
8713  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: October 07, 2017, 05:29:43 AM
I agree cryto will be future money, but it will take a long time before you can be rich with crypto, we need more user to boost the popularity and we need more transaction using crypto to boost the price, so we still need a lot of time to get rich with crypto
I also believe that crypto will become our future and I hope it would happen. In addition to that, I think there are of processess if we want crypto become our future money. As of now cryptocurrency and cryptocoin are become more popular than before.
It is true that crypto has really proven itself to be the future and has given us the opportunity to be a part of it (for those who are utilizing it anyway).

However, so many developments will still come up later on as this future starts becoming more glaring. As awareness keeps growing and bitcoin's popularity keep soaring, we will most definitely approach the future very fast.

Its really that fast. Just this year alone bitcoin has risen to 300% or more and the crypto market cap close to 150B. I don't have the figure from last year but is a big jump I think. So it really means that more and more people are going into crypto, as a result the future is really bright for everyone.

We are lucky that we came in at the right time when this market is just in its infancy I might say. But its not to late to involved yourself in trading or just investing. But buying today and holding it for the long term, you will have the opportunity to give yourself a good profit in the future.
8714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do thousands of investors hold bitcoin on troubled days? on: October 07, 2017, 05:13:37 AM
They are holding bitcoin even on troubled days because they know that it is worth it to hold bitcoin and not to sell it on troubled days because they are mostly used to this pattern that if there will be a trouble in bitcoin then it will react to the market for having a huge dump on the price but after a few weeks it will go up again and that is why they are holding bitcoin and some of them are usually buyer more aside from holding.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. Maybe they are holding bitcoin before specially in troubled days because they really don't know that bitcoin price will go up. They may have forgotten it already that's why some of them scattered to find out their lost bitcoin because in the last couple of years bitcoin prices surges. I think this is the likely scenario for early adopters. Unfortunately, there are thousand of bitcoins lost because they can't find or lost them. So they didn't hold because they think that in the future the it will be worth something.
8715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Dead Without China? on: October 06, 2017, 11:13:22 AM
So far so many people have told Bitcoin prices will go down, but those who are seniors have told without china also Bitcoin prices go up and their words kept it up.
I think Without china now excellent for trading and moves to $5000 mark.
You are right, Even china can effect on bitcoin because of the high populaty there, but that's not mean that bitcoin will die, bitcoin is too powerful, so don't panic and sell your bitcoin, It's still the beginning now, so the best option is to save bitcoins and wait for the future, because i believe we will make a huge profit if we collect now.

Bitcoin is unstoppable. Not even China could stop it. So I really doubt that any nation for that matter could halt the advancement of bitcoin. Yes, trading is back at the price is up today. It just really shows how bitcoin is resilient and can weathered the storm. The effect is only temporary and now we are back to normal mode again. Trading and prices are up and we are seeing no more negative news. We could say now that it looks like the 'Chinese effect' that provided downward pressure in the crypto market is over.
8716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: wex.nz scam or it's support that suck ? on: October 06, 2017, 09:50:10 AM
I think by now we should be aware that BTC-e or Wex.nz has one of the worst support out there. I didn't stay with them that long when I have experience my first issue with them. Although they were able to resolved them, I have to like open a lot of goddamn tickets to caught their attention. I don't know though if you can speak Russian, but I didn't so I just have to bother them everyday and I promised myself not to deal with them again. Too bad you are now trapped.

You might give me another idea to take their attention (open tons of goddamn tickets). Anyone know their account here in bitcointalk ? It was the most stupid thing when joining btc-e or wex, just because I didn't know any other better places to trade BTC in past....

You want to try their twitter account?

8717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big European disruption coming will help BTC reach $6000+ soon on: October 06, 2017, 08:42:28 AM
Due illegal Catalan referendum by independentists trying to secede from Spain, this will cause a lot of disruption that will spread across Europe. The Euro is already falling while BTC had a nice bull run.

Once again, the global neutral asset shows to be the place to be. You can't lose in Bitcoin, just hold and you shall be rewarded.

$6000 is coming, don't lose your cheap coins.

Are there any links OP (Regarding the news)? I do hope I can read some of these so that I can anticipate when to buy in. I've been hodling some but just in case ; I want to read more about it so that I can have a clear view of what will happen for the next few days or weeks regarding this Referendum and it's effect on pricing. Thanks for sharing this though got my hopes up! Cheesy

I don't know if we can consider this a big disruption to the ecosystem. But for all intent and purposes, EU hasn't been that much friendly to bitcoin though. So I don't anticipate any disruption in any case whatsoever. Asia and North America are he dominant users and traders of bitcoin. Europe is still far behind because they know what bitcoin to take over as most of the country as pro bankers. So if ever this so called Catalan Referendum came into fruition or not. There will be no significant effect on the market.
8718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold fork on: October 04, 2017, 02:18:27 PM
Hello,
I am a relatively new investor in Bitcoin, and recently I have been reading about a fork to Bitcoin gold. My understanding is that everyone who owns Bitcoin receives the equivalent number of coins in the forked currency, once the fork takes place. Is this correct?

Do I have to store my Bitcoin in a specific wallet (I might be new, but I'm not stupid enough to send my coin to you ;-) ), or do anything to activate this, or will it happen automatically? (If the fork goes ahead, of course).

Thanks for any advice.
A lot of people expect this to happen because they can get extra BTC and I'm waiting for that to happen.

Not Extra BTC, but another dividend or Altcoin in circulation and I think you will receive a free Altcoins or BTG that you can surely trade prior to it's legalization and BTG is the first real Bitcoin dividend-coin because unlike Bcash and Segwit2X, BTG is friendly to Bitcoin they surely inform uninformed investor that it is another Altcoin in succession not like Bitcoin Cash or segwit2x that claiming the bitcoin name.

I really do not like this even though I can get another BTC in another form, but it would have a big impact on the BTC that could be a negative and that made me nervous.
It can be said that it is trying to eat according to the successor to create value for themselves.  The abuse of hard fork makes the crypto market so dilute.

Of course we don't like it because it will just create another altcoin and somewhat investors has the tendency to stay away from the market until everything is settled down. That's why we might see another reduction in price of bitcoin when the looming November hard fork happened. Yes, it will be another trying times for us. We just need to be patience and relax until the storm has calm. I don't know the abuse though, they maybe doing it intentionally.
8719  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trap? Or price going back to 4k for real? on: October 04, 2017, 01:19:39 PM
We are not in a bull trap, the price is really going up, there are a lot of support coming for bitcoin, this might be a new breakthrough for bitcoin, a new record. I think with all the positive news around, bitcoin will be accepted by a lot of people, and though there would be still some negativity around, we could not suppress the growth of bitcoin, if we check the history of bitcoin, its volatility is always a good thing, everytime there is a dip, it always bounces back, if it is a bull trap, and soon will fall, the best plan to do is, to do cost averaging. Right now, we can still not predict the movement of bitcoin, but what we can see right now, a real bull run, since a a lot of good news are coming in, and we should also not fear for a bull trap, we should develop a plan on how we can still profit, be it bearish or bullish.

The price is going down again. It went as high as $4500 but after that, the price slowly decreased. So its really hard to speculate if this is a bull run or trap. We haven't heard any negative news that's why one must think was is the reason for this dip. The price movement is really hard to predict as evident of the roller coaster ride we are experiencing. But I'm very optimistic that this is just another minor price correction and not a bull trap. I'm still want to see bitcoin having a massive bull run once again.
8720  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Scam or legit on: October 04, 2017, 10:30:27 AM
I am pretty new to bitcoin and have basically been using faucet sites to get started.
I know faucets are slow and labourious but at least they are giving me an insite into how bitcoin works
Cloud mining is something that i am seeing advertised a lot.
People will say it is a scam
Some people will say it is not a scam I know that

I would just like everyones opinion on it if that is ok

So is cloud mining a scam yes or no

Reasons why appreciated

Many Thanks

Nice that you have posted it here first before putting your money in a cloud mining site. But let me warm you that most of them are really a scam. I'm not into it because a lot of members here are warming about it. So please follow the advise because we don't want you to open another thread saying that you have been scammed by the cloud mining site. Thy are just masking their site but I'm sure its gonna be a doubler or HYIP scheme. And if you are late in your investments, chances are you are not getting paid and they will just close and ran together with your bitcoin.
