781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hashrate is dropping on: May 16, 2020, 02:27:58 AM
No, halving really takes a toll to small time farmers which is why the hash-rates are dropping. Once the difficulty adjust, miners will come again and the hash will surely rise again. But it may take time since there are many factors that affect miners. Let's consider the profit of miners right now, it is at -50% because of the halving. Most miners would lost money. If Bitcoin where to rise in price at at least $12,000+, small time miners might consider mining again.
Haha. Saan ka ba kasi nagcash out? I suggest sa remittance center ka magwithdraw. It has less fee.

Anyway, I suggest to move this topic to Pamilihan under coins.ph thread.
.

783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency TV series appearance on: May 09, 2020, 03:04:16 AM
I haven't watched the series yet but I think I can say by that picture that they are portraying the majority of the cryptocurrency out there, a lot of scams and frauds, just like dine-and-dash. Though it's still a publicity, it would be great if they did include the top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin but if they only include all the scams out there, it's of course negative publicity especially to newbies.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Never trust an ICO ranking site! on: May 08, 2020, 12:58:35 AM
I don't think there's really a lot of people who relies on the ranking of ICO ranking sites. Most people use this sites to get the latest news on the bounty market and having a number 1 spot makes it more exposed but I doubt that people are literally taking number 1 as the best. Of course research is still the key.
785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin popped $10 000 on: May 08, 2020, 12:55:07 AM
Some discussions in speculation sections are saying that this grow might be the end of bear market. I don't really expecting this to break all-time high but beating all-year high is a possibility. This might be a profit point from some investors so we will see if this price will last long enough or not.
786  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Tradekax exchange plagiarized whitepaper on: May 08, 2020, 12:41:55 AM
They already deleted the content of their ANN thread. So it means they are guilty as charged. If they already put so much effort into this project, they can just explain their side. Their website is still up so to all users be careful using that exchange. For me, it is not safe to use this exchange if they can't even defend themselves.

Same thought. If they've made an explanation why they did this, they might have had a chance to remove doubts from their users. This is probably their worst mistakes because they are literally saying that they plagiarize work. I don't expect this exchange to last long with this one. They'll probably start exiting once users become aware of this. Good job to this find.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEO of Bitcoin according to Google is Roger Ver. WTF Google?! on: May 06, 2020, 03:15:00 AM
That's pretty smart actually. Maybe he purposely hired some person or an SEO to change the algorithm of google search to promote him? because that's really a good advertisement especially to a lot of new people coming to Bitcoin. Though we should really make a feedback to fix this mistake for some people's google search.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Day dreamer! on: May 05, 2020, 01:50:20 AM
It is impossible to think that some people are still hoping to get rich doing bounty campaigns even when the handwriting is clearly on the wall. When will you wake up from your dream?
........ Who told you that devs are working to make you rich as a bounty hunter
........ Who told you that team are putting their heads together to create wealth for you as a bounty hunter.
The era of getting rich doing bounty campaigns is gone, wake up from your dream and engage yourself in so many other potential sides of cryptocurrency.
Seriously, it is funny to still see some people asking questions like " Is bounty campaign still profitable" when all that you could get in your last campaign is pea-nuts. It's dawn guys, wake up. Don't hope for too much.

I wish that's how most of the bounty hunters think nowadays because this only leads to greediness and hopeless thinking which then a lot of scammers feed into. There are some good bounties out there but they are few in numbers, scams and failed ones out number the good ones. I hope you learned your lesson from that failed campaign though.

you discourage everyone while you yourself is wearing a hackenAI signature that had been known for their failed IEO. its not profitable of course as most of them are scam. but leave them alone since its not for you to decide what they are going to do.

believe it or not i found one of the alt of the most reputable person in the forum that actually is joining some bounty campaigns while his reputable account joins BTC paying campaign and hates the altcoins section like he hasn't visiting it with his alt.

That's probably the reason why OP posted this thread. He wasted too much effort on bounty hunting and failed a lot.

789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency crime in Netherlands. on: May 04, 2020, 01:53:15 AM
So always be careful when visiting and trying some unfamiliar websites, always do research about it and read some reviews to assure yourself that it is legit.

I think that's not the point because the scammers are copying another legit website which I think people have already done researched in and that is how people was getting fooled. This is just one of those classic phishing. One people should look into is the credentials of the website and if the certificate is legit. That is how people will know if that is a fake website or not. Also, always save your website so you won't get fooled.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A rare facts about top exchanges on: April 30, 2020, 04:12:57 AM
It doesn't even need to speculate about that because some projects were launched on binance like WINK has already dumped a lot. It doesn't matter a lot how big the exchange site that being used to raised the funds. If the project is a crap project and that will always become a crap project. binance just gives a change to the hype

A agree. As long the the crap of the other projects is not a scam, then Binance wouldn't care about them since they've got what they wanted. The only main big thing they've got to watch out is scamming projects because that would really ruin their reputation because of how may people think that Binance may be associated with scammers.

But still, being listed/IEO in Binance is a huge boost in popularity in a project, it just depends on how the team manage it.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing VS IEO on: April 29, 2020, 03:25:15 AM
Let's just say that IEO is the inial launch of the fund raising for the project. The advantage is that most likely they will get an exchange immediately once the project have reached their target goal and released all the tokens/coins. The downside is that investors will probably judge your project based on the exchange that you used to launch your IEO

If what you mean in "simply listing a token in a exchange" is ICO, then there's no advantage to it. It just simply raising and hyping the coin then get into an exchange. The quality of an exchange isn't even guaranteed.

Sure, whoever said that is a hypocrite, pero ang tanong meron ba nagsabi nyan?

Actually.

Sorry for the out of context. Pasensya ulit. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240442.0
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto never used Bitcointalk - new claim by Craig Wright on: April 29, 2020, 02:42:28 AM
Wait a minute, didn't he already said this a few weeks back? https://bitcoinist.com/satoshi-never-used-bitcointalk-craig-wright/ or is this another new statement?

There's also a thread made by someone here addressing something similar to that https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5237483.msg54146724#msg54146724.

Definitely a delusional. How can he claim he is the real satoshi when in fact he didn't do any contribution to the project? all he does is shill scams all over the place. He can't even spell "Bitcoin". Even the real Satoshi would be laughing right now in his own island because of this fool. During the dark age of Bitcoin, where is he? now he is claiming that Satoshi didn't used Bitcointalk? I don't know what this guy is smoking but it must be a very powerful one.

Proofs all over the place.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Has Zero Active Development!! on: April 28, 2020, 03:08:29 AM
It's no surprise as the founder David Lee left the project selling all of his litecoin. When the founder rejects the project as useless, what more can you expect from the volunteer developers. Litecoin was a lighter alternative to the than bitcoin but there are plenty of coins that could carry on it's work with some extra perks. Litecoin is absolute at the moment.

Well, I don’t really care about this moment. Litecoin will continue to occupy the same highest position as BTC, even though no further development takes place, but people still use it because they trust it.the situation is different with the release of new coins.
so litecoin will be fine even for a long time.

This is what I've thought too. Why are people concern about the technical development of Litecoin when it is already working as intended? The project developer already sold all his Litecoin. I don't know whether he really abandoned Litecoin or he is just copying Bitcoin where there's no central power. The community is still great. I don't think people will just leave Litecoin just because of this.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is why Cryptocurrency future in India is in danger on: April 28, 2020, 02:47:44 AM
Isn't that saying blatantly "We can't control people in India so we are banning cryptocurrency". What is wrong with them though. They are only prolonging the inevitable. Indian citizens would still find a way to use cryptocurrency outside the radar of their government. Don't they know the user base of India? it's a lot and the money from those users are actually helping the country.

It is very sad indeed that the government has no interest in progress in this regard.
And of course, not just India, but most of the Asian countries are the same.

Not in the Philippines. At least the citizens are slowly starting to get used to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency because of a certain wallet.

There are two possible scenarios. On the one hand, a complete ban on crypto can create a revolution among people, since in India most of the population are crypto users. On the other hand, the country will become a conservative and many will leave India to continue to earn money and build a business with the help of crypto, because India will block all opportunities for this.

That's what I am thinking. What would their government do if the citizens starts complaining since we all know that there is a lot of Indian are into cryptocurrency, maybe a lot more compared to other Asian country.

Nice points kabayan. Hindi ako nang-aatake or anything ha.

Ano ang opinyon ninyo dito? on: April 27, 2020, 03:40:25 AM

I remember Polar91 as a participant , as a  Filipino Translator, on one of the campaigns that i managed. This is so sad. I also remember there is a thread na pinipaint na shitposter ang mga Filipino and they are not well versed in English language to communicate and post constructively, hindi ako nag react doon kasi karamihan talaga is ganun, The hate is understandable because some campaigns were abused by mostly alt accounts by Filipino users, Whatever Reasons ang mayroon si Polar91, he can't use that as a license to abuse campaigns. Taking opportunities from other people because of greed is an evil thing to do.

Look for a Real Job. Bitcointalk will not always be here for the purpose of bringing money to your own pockets, Sana maintindihan ng kapwa Pinoy natin na there is a possibility that the possible Banning of Philippine Users is in sight. Please reflect and Look for a real Job. Bitcointalk is not a Job. Campaigns are not a job. It is not a JOB. Look for a REAL JOB.

Porket most of the time hobby lang natin ito na ginagawa kung kailan natin gusto or aka part-time job, hindi paba ito job?

Mayroon tayong pang gastos sa mga gusto natin, may pang extra tayong kinikita for emergency or for anything, hindi paba ito job/part-time job?

I've been part of a small project na nanggaling sa computer language forum.

799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common Cryptocurrency Scams and How to Avoid Them on: April 27, 2020, 02:42:36 AM
In general, do not be greedy and always research about the credibility of the said project because I was scammed once from one of the listed above. That "Fake Mobile Apps" really hit me hard because that is how I met Bitcoin. They make you watch ads (a lot of them) and never pay even if you reached the threshold. That's how I learn about cryptocurrency and how not everything in it is legit.

By the way, those scams also happens in messaging apps like telegram and discord so I think you should add that.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTOCURRENCY IN NORTH KOREA on: April 27, 2020, 02:32:51 AM
But recently some huge amount of bitcoin was transferred from Kim jong un Trezor wallet to coinbase about 6000Btc around hald a billion dollar. Nobody heard about that lately?

Can you link the article or the source of where you've taken that news? I mean I've never heard this news before and if this is really true, then the medias would be flying all over the place making articles about this piece of news. I don't know, this news might be fake too since the information we get in north korea is very limited because they restrict everything there.
