Not interested in the daytrader's price - they don't operate on fundamentals of any sort ~ they're just there for a 2x-10x ROI.  Next time NEM rallies, a lot of those daytraders will whine about missing out and will call it a "pump".  I know because I saw it on the rise from $3 million XEM.

NEM has very strong fundamentals and they are improving.

If you had been following Google Trends and Alexa Ranking like I have, NEM is currently at the all-time high popularity, gaining in website popularity and soon it will be a top 10,000 website in Malaysia.  I have seen the share of visitors for Japan go from 26% to 31% in the past weeks.  Malaysia wasn't even in the top 5 but, thanks to the work of Rockethead and other NEMbers in Malaysia, Malaysia overtook Russia and Germany and now has the highest per capita traffic of NEMbers.

To me this indicative that NEM is gaining ground and has a bright future in Japan and South East Asia.  If NEM continues to gain adoption in Asia like right now, the current price and capitalization today in a year's time will be viewed as a "give away" / "free" / "cheap"

You see arteleis name in the Ann? Whos idea was darksilk, silk and the Silk Weaver? Who paid for it and suddenly vanished from the extreme dedication he showed all of you..  think about it.

We've given arteleis credit where its due. We've said many times that Art is the reason we're here. Its not our fault he disappeared. He could have an important role but he left. We all wish he'd come back, he was great for the community

He was real good, few people like him exist.
I still have his email, so i will try and contact him again, we used to be in lots of contact Smiley

Once again im killing myself i never sold my stake when it was high and i could have bought back now.
However i did not want to take that risk if it continued to rise and it pretty much owes me nothing so i still have not lost anything.

I would have probably bought back when it was still higher anyway so would not have gained much.

This project has some real long term goals and there is no reason we cant hit $1 billion marketcap.

We should be worth more than steem as it is, i think once the hype dies off with steem, the markets will settle a bit more Smiley

when catapult will be out?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

It will take some time i expect, but expect some more announcements next month Smiley

Some positive announcements would be fine. It looks like as massive dump now, but question is why - is it for jumping into STEEM, or what ... ?

I think STEEM has a big part to play, it seems everyone is jumping ship to STEEM no matter what they are holding, this is a very dangerous move to make to invest into something sharply rising.

What is the minimum requirement of a computer to run local and delegated harvesting?

I hace 2 accounts with more than 1 million xem, one local harvesting and the other delegated. I put the two on same computer and wallet to harvest and all goes good.

I would like to buy a new computer, the cheapest one to put it 24/7/365 what are the minimuns? What about a raspberry that I saw they are cheap?

Thanks, long life to Nem.

My Win laptop has 8 GB Ram but my Ubuntu supernode runs on 1 GB Ram. so it differs.

Memory is the main thing, it needs to hold the blockchain, so minimum of 2GB spare memory in a computer i would expect that 4GB or more would be ideal.

Delegated harvesting does not use your computer so is only applicable to local harvesting Smiley

When you say memory are you saying space or ram?

Do you think it could work on a raspberry pi 3 with 1GB of ram?

Its RAM im referring to, im pretty sure 2GB was the minimum, but you may get away with 1GB for a little while.

My pine64 has 2GB of RAM, im hoping i can find a way to harvest on this soon. Smiley

For me winner is Catapult is winner.

"Catapult will be the entire architecture re-worked and migrated from Java to C++ to aid in increasing performance and will be switching from the HTTP protocol to socket communication which will help reduce latency and improve bi-directional communication. It is a high-performance product that can handle high transaction throughputs, such as 4 digits per second, even on a geographically dispersed network. "

All looks interesting.
Wallet is wallet some have chat inside some other bullshit but at end noone realy cares.Wallet should look good and be easy to use for noobs.
cryptoapex as exchange it have to trade some unique goods like NXT nem tokens at beggining it drives volume up and new users we will see
all of those projects are far from months rather to years to arrive from now.
But if you look at poloniex and their trading volume it took them few years to be top traded exchange on market but its still possible cryto is very young now.
Only 0,1% of people have ever used it.

That is a very high TPS, looking forward to it being launched! Cheesy

How many XEM does a typical supernode earn per day, or average per month? (After deducting cost of hosted services etc.)  I was just wondering is it worth for someone to spend around 35 BTC (around $24,000) upfront (based on todays XEM price) to purchase 3,000,030 XEM in order to receive a good ROI.
No, i wouldnt bother, i was looking at buying another 700K to do just that, but im just better off buying as much XEM while i can afford it, as you only make around $40-$50 per month max at todays prices and the current number of nodes etc.
This could change, but i would rather buy a good lump sum first if you dont have any XEM to start with and just slowly accumulate $100 a month or whatever your budget allows you Smiley

I just started harvesting...! I'm excited. I now have an importance if .57%. What is this for?

Importance does a few things, but the most relevant is basically your chance of hitting a block.. Lately I'm averaging like 4 blocks/day with just shy of 2% ..

Most of the blocks I hit have no reward, I'd estimate like 1/7 of my blocks have a reward.. rarely it's like 4 xem, more often it's 40-100, every once in awhile it's 500+. All depends on the transactions happening.

Im harvesting 2.25 million XEM.
I used to get lots of small blocks around 6 XEM, and now i seem to get fewer blocks containing XEM and they seem to contain much more per block instead, ive had anything from 40XEM to 300XEM over the last month per block.

How many NEM you get a month?
Typically at least 200-300 XEM, but it was alot more than this with the recent pump.

I almost feel like if you're only getting 200-300 NEM per month via harvesting that it's bettee to buy on an exchange vs harvesting. Thoughts???

200-300 Xem a month using 2.25 M Xem as vested amount is quite very low, unless 1 xem =1 USD .

This is exactly why I'm trying to get XEM added to Polo margin trading. I'm positive that even with a low interest rate I could make more XEM lending them out than harvesting.

This is the form you fill out to request it: https://poloniex.com/featureRequest

it might be slightly more than that, im not sure how many blocks are harvested each month, ill have to count them.
When we had high volume, it was telling me that i had harvested about 525 XEM per the last 25 blocks.

Now remember if XEM eventually trades at $1 and there is high volume, there will be more fees per block and that would not be a bad payout at that rate.

I really dont know what will happen with steem, but if STEEM hits $1 billion, then NEM and Ardor certainly will have the chance to go far higher than that!
Not too sure what to think about Lisk, Waves and Vcash yet.

1 dollar for 1 xem to optimisit?
0.1$ is the first Target.

And i think this is highly achievable in the short to medium term, long term 5+ years $1 per XEM is very possible.

Ex-Google engineers have spent 2 years secretly trying to solve 'the hardest problem in banking'
http://www.businessinsider.com/google-engineers-thought-machine-vaultos-core-banking-platform-fintech-2016-7

NEM / Mijin have the advantage.

Why do you say that NEM/Mijin have the advantage? Can you explain further the technical details of NEM and VaultOS and also make a comparison of both? I would like to gauge the pros and cons of the two platforms.

I dont know much about VaultOS to compare, but it appears its using smart contracts much like Ethereum, so im interested to know how they plan to use this without the inherent security flaws that smart contracts face with Ethereum.

OK, I think it's time to start a movement: Get XEM listed on Poloniex margin trading and lending.

Here is the link to the form to complete: https://poloniex.com/featureRequest

How about if everyone who follows this thread makes the request once or twice a week? That should send a pretty strong message that this is something we all want.

Let's go!
just did it!
it would be great to have XEM in margin trading.

Done!  Grin
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 15, 2016, 12:33:42 AM
just wondering why NXT price keep coming down, instead of boom up due buying for ardor

Perhaps people don't read. Since the snapshot is an average over 3 months they bought, saw snapshot, then sold no realizing they need to hold for the 3 months.

idk, just a guess.

IDK i was reading this and am unsure to make sense from it.
I assume all my NXT ive currently held will give me ths same amount of ardor, but if i purchase some NXT and place it in my account today, i ma not get the 100% same amount of ardor?

Is this correct? Since its an average, i can only assume that the longer i keep it, the more ardor i will get.
But if i dump my NXT right at the end of the snapshot period, i assume i will still get some ardor?

big volume on poloniex, anyone knows why?

I dont see any increase on XEM volume...

And what is this talk about ethcoin? is this referring to Ethereum?

Jeez, what's happened with STEEM ($340m marketcap, +1627% increase in 7d period), and why it's skyrocketing instead of NEM ? Someone should re-navigate investors into the right way (which is "nemway", of course) Wink
manipulation in the Nem to cent range are not considered growth rates and to compare with, i think

pump Nem at 100 Sat to 1500 sat can not be classified as target Pump or investment agreement, i think

This pump with steem is crazy, its simply not sustainable, it has to crash eventually.

Makes our growth look pretty slow and steady if you ask me! Cheesy
