Hi, could you please answer my email sent last Friday regarding order #1221?

It tends to be an exponential curve so running half the watts usually returns more than half the hashing power as long as there is enough power for the chips to come on. The limiting factor for any home mining farm is the Amps you circuit breaker can carry. That is true for under-volting, not for under-clocking. Can the S1 be easily under-volted? I you call soldering around the PCB easy.

I assume his mother is living with him. It would've been pretty awkward to have squirted out six kids if she'd been sharing the bed.
Read Freud. I guess he doesn't need the money to attract women, because he is already living with the one.

He still lives with his mother...

Still newbs need to be aware that buying mining equipment is a seller's market. That fact can't be stressed out enough, most "consumers" today have a totally wrong expectation. Also you won't regret reading up on import duties and procedure for your country before you order.
Don't expect your ASIC vendor to react to your inquiry for customs documents. For the EU you will have to pay at least import VAT and will be required to show an invoice which customs will believe. They sometimes are not totally dumb and simply open the package and confront you with the amazon or ebay price.

Hi,
I made my order in December last year and until now I still don't have valid tracking... (2 tracking numbers sent, one not working at all the other shows last scan in 2012).
Can I have a refund please, I don't think anything will arrive, ever. I have been more than patient. Order #1221.
Thank you.
Just checked your order history - the first one was captured incorrectly, the second one is the correct tracking number (hence the "Apologies, please disregard the previous tracking number as it was incorrect." message that accompanied it). I'll double-check that second number against the hard copy when I'm in the office just to make sure it is correct:) PARCEL TRACKING RESULTS Item Number: +++ was last scanned on: 2012/06/07 at 03:39 Location last scanned: CAPEMAIL (HUB) Currently has status of: In transit TRACKING LINE TYPE DATE TIME BRANCH COMMENTS 1 In transit 2012/06/07 03:39 CAPEMAIL (HUB) 2 Item accepted by branch 2012/06/05 15:22 N1-STAD / CITY You shipped it 2 years ago?

@cloudhasher that's pretty f***ing sick profiteering from people who just lost all their bitcoins to mt. gox....talk about bad taste.
If you want to offer a discount to drum up more customers then go ahead, but don't do it under the sick guise of philanthropy towards gox victims.
1000$ for a 85GH/s? You really pass on the fantastic bulk discounts of BFL!

BITMAIN - a local friend ordered two units. First of all there was the surprise VAT. Not very nice to sneak it up on your customers, but whatever. The second issue is that one of the miners was broken on delivery. The fan did not turn on and it looks like the fan grill was hit and deformed. Then one of the capacitors was broken, looks like a bad soldering job. My friend got the miners on Thursday last week and has since then sent two emails to info@bitmaintech.com and master@bitmaintech.com with the description of the problem and the pictures showing the damage. It is Tuesday today and my friend is yet to receive a reply regarding the broken unit and how to proceed with the replacement/warranty. Sorry to bring it to public attention but time is ticking and a few business days should be enough for a reply in a case like that. Of course you need to pay the import taxes, BITMAIN cannot do this for you. And if the package is damaged you shouldn't accept it. That said, don't expect too much from bitmaintech support.

1: Date. In standard format, this lets anyone sort threads by title to get a chronological order.
This train has left the station long ago...

Sooo.... Will MtGox implement Litecoin trading soon?

I have quit reading this thread due to high volume and very low signal to noise ratio. Just stopping by announce that my 10k EUR withdrawal from January 4th changed to pending today, and will arrive tomorrow. I have cancelled my other withdrawals to buy BTC.
Huh, Mr. Sturle, not so vocal anymore? How did your smartness turn out for you? Sorry, just can't resist...

Is it safe to say that Mark Karpeles is solely responsible for (at least triggering) the first, second, and fourth big crash of Bitcoin?
|

|
its not like we knew it was coming.
people like ver however kept shilling.
We did not? Didn't you guess the collapse pretty precisely a day before they went offline? Also this Ver character would be worth investigating, but I guess if someone opens a thread now it would get like 3, 4 postings...

I guess this topic foreseen the events that are occuring now. Interesting how the problem was around for so long, quietly lurking, only to turn into catastrophy in a matter of days...
How did you dig up this thread? But honestly, this forum is full of postings warning about Gox and Karpeles for at least a year now. Nobody seriously interested in Bitcoin dealt with Gox anymore, many people were in because of greed and they are (hopefully) learning a lesson now. Some of them for sure were newbs which didn't do deep enough research and I feel sorry for them. How ever I initially wanted to dedicate this thread to the psyche of Mr. Karpeles and his motives in doing what he does / did. He clearly fits a pathological pattern, I am just not proficient enough of a psychiatrist to name it.

The Antminer overclocking to 200Gh/s so easily makes we wonder why I can't find any efforts to get it beyond that. It should be easy to improve the stock cooling, isn't it possible to squeeze out more hashpower?
I have a youtube video on my signature and I added 2 fans each directly on top of the heatsinks after they have been remounted to face outwards which helped very much with the cooling as weather here is too warm for mining. Still, I wouldn't attempt to overclock more than 400MHz per chip (~200GH/s) as I saw posts in other threads that the limitations are on the voltage regulators which if needed replacement would need resoldering a new one or risk 8 chips out of commission or more. There's also increased HW which result in lower performance... The capacity of the DC-DC converters or the set value?

A concept of proofing where a transaction is coming from to be able to trust it sooner if you trust the originating source. Any ways it doesn’t mean much without knowing what the destination is.

The recent price rise at Gox just screwed me majorly.
+1 So you've both sold goxcoins for less than $200? 140 Y u no www.bitcoinbuilder.com ? wtf? RTFM. wtf? And pay 2% fees? *shakes head* I bought the goxBTC with real BTC in the first place... Are you telling me that you deposited BTC to Gox and sold them for $140? LOL Nice one. I bought the goxBTC for 45% realBTC Then traded it up to 4* my original BTC. Then go back down to 2* my original BTC during the rally :-/ So much smartness combined in one person! How is that working out for you, Sir?
