781  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Huawei without Google on: October 23, 2020, 08:28:06 AM
I may well play with some older phones at some time, but there are a few reason for choosing this one.
- Battery life is fairly good.
- I want to be able to tether the phone when WiFi is not available.
- The screen looks sharp and clear.
- Price and delivery is not too bad.
- I want to try the new Huawei OS when it is available.
- It is dual sim.

I don't play games, and I have no interest in most apps, and I find it annoying that I have to spend time deleting or removing them, I'm not bothered about government or police tracking me, but Covid test and trace may change that. What does annoy me is the way that Google and others mess with the system, and change my search results everywhere. If I am talking to a friend, and she asks me to have a  look at cat flea collars, they I don't want to spend the next couple of weeks deleting references to cat health products when I don't even have a cat.

I've got so many projects on the go at the moment, and so many things to sort out, that I just want to use easy stock options if possible, I'm really pissed off that I took so long to get started with Bitcoin, It was at £30 when I got my first few Satoshi, and it has now gone over £10,000, and I've still only got what most would consider an insignificant holding.

I watch financial, political and health videos quite a lot on the phone, and I use YouTube. I'm finding that many of the most interesting channels are being banned or de-listed, and they are switching to other media services. I'm hoping that those will have good support on the new phone. I don;t use contactless payment services, and I can be quite abusive about them, so the inability to use Googlepay or Applepay, or any of the others is no loss to me.

784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy BTC from PayPal now that they are letting people do it? on: October 22, 2020, 08:14:03 AM
Am I the only one who thinks this is bad news? As I understand it, you cannot withdraw Bitcoin from PayPal, so any money you send to them is lost to the Bitcoin community. A few years ago, I started predicting that bankers would be removing coins from the Bitcoin community to reduce its utility. This appears to be another attempt by bankers to mop up small Bitcoin holdings.
785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 22, 2020, 06:59:43 AM
If they really wanted to kill the virus, then they would use copper impregnation a lot more ( on the barriers, nit the people), I understand that the virus can't remain viable for more than 5 minutes on copper. But then it suits them to use these tunnels to spread the live virus.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 21, 2020, 02:40:30 PM
Why would you bother with the scammers payment service - PayPal, when you can use Bitcoin?
787  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Testing a vaccine against a low risk virus. on: October 21, 2020, 02:37:13 PM
If you stay hydrated, then mucociliary clearance should handle that.
788  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I'm seriously concerned about the money being stuffed down the vaccine toilet. on: October 21, 2020, 02:05:38 PM
I agree, but so much money has been squandered on research that will never produce a beneficial product, that the governments have to justify it. This means that they have to implement restrictions and demands that reduce the building of immunity, and extend the recovery period for those who have problems as a result of infection. If they can ramp up these results then maybe they will try to mandate vaccination to move more of the public's money into the coffers of the Pharma companies.
789  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 21, 2020, 01:56:58 PM
I'm only bothered by them because they reinforce the crapspeak about the virus. They do create tunnels, but that is good because it helps to spread immunity, and eventually the government will have to admit that the vaccines will be useless and not required. Then they will have to justify all the money they wasted. and  the life years that were destroyed in pursuit of their agenda.

Age isn't really relevant. it's the co-morbidities and the strength of your immune system that is important . The only reason that the elderly are more vulnerable is that they have been exposed to vaccines and other so called health care products for longer.
790  Other / Politics & Society / The Covid madness increases in the UK. on: October 21, 2020, 11:13:53 AM
As my readers will be aware, my belief is the the number of reported infections doesn't matter - well it does, but only because it gives an indication of the increase in natural immunity to the virus. However, all of the mass media reports are obsessed with dramatising any apparent increase in the number of infections, and they don't consider increases in the number of test, or variations in the testing procedures. The Government is now ramping up the fear and the restrictions with a whole load of new rules and guidelines. It seems that pub landlords will have to record customer details, and ask for proof that there are no contacts between different family units. What is the point of going to the pub if there is no social interaction allowed.I wonder how long it will take them to rule that only one family is allowed to attend debates in the House of Commons? Sainsbury's have had to close the stairs up to their supermarket ( it is above a large car park). This is because people are passing each other on the steps. They now have to use the escalators, and get less exercise as a result. They also have to travel in the exhalation cloud of the person in front of them.

There is a report of a 50 stone (700 pounds) man having to be winched out of his house to be taken to hospital. It seems he is addicted to ordering fast food via his phone apps during the lockdown. He can't be working, so we have to suffer because of parasites like him.

It seems there are guidelines that suggest that customers can't stay in cafes for more than 90 minutes, so if you want to use the WiFi for longer, then you have to drive to a different cafe. That's a good way to reduce the spread of immunity. Smiley

We are also being warned that the unhealthy face masks have to be  worn over both the nose and the mouth. If this isn't done, there is a chance that you won't re-inhale the virus if your body is getting rid of it. However, I shouldn't worry too much, as most healthy people must have developed natural immunity by now.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin co-exist with the current financial system on: October 21, 2020, 07:31:05 AM
Bitcoin is a completely different payment system, and is not dependent on banks. You might as well say will bicycles coexist with cars when/if electric cars replace petrol cars
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Database corrupt question on: October 20, 2020, 10:57:17 AM
I would have copied the bad drive onto another disk, and used that to resync. Drives are so cheap now that it isn't worth the risk of hitting the same problem again. If you have a bad spot on the disk, then you need to flag it so that it win't be used again. I'm running a couple of nodes using external USB drives, and Core seems pretty good at coping with problems, as long as they aren't hardware errors.
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 20, 2020, 10:49:25 AM
I understand that the Covid virus had a RNA clip added to allow it to spread via aerosols. It was created to allow maximum infection with minimum fatalities, and this allowed panic to be created to milk the economies of the world as a prelude to monetary reset. You don't need to read MSM lies to be aware of this, just look around you, and talk to people you meet. Then think about the ramifications of the things you see. Things like the perfume clouds surrounding some women. These aren't a problem in themselves - well maybe cheap perfume is an annoyance, but it isn't life threatening. You concern should come from the realisation that the Covid aerosols will behave in the same way, and on reflection you will realise that all the social distancing and other nonsense is counter productive,
.

Another concern is the damage done to the environment by items such as discarded face masks. Here is a report of a falcon tangled in a face mask -
https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.hulldailymail.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fhull-east-yorkshire-news%2Fperegrine-falcon-tangled-face-mask-4363505&psig=AOvVaw2tJGZSUb4fY4riBftVYm1y&ust=1603277081965000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCNC2xtn-wuwCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD

It really is time to step back, and try to understand the way we are being manipulated and controlled. There is a great temptation to take the easy way out, but it catches up on you later. You can kick the can down the road and back again, but eventually it will destroy your shoes.
794  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 20, 2020, 08:09:29 AM

It's quite offensive to suggest that everyone with health problems is stupid or weak-willed.

It's offensive to force nations into penury, ill health and even death, just because some people can't stop eating rubbish food, or have to destroy their lungs and other organs with cigarettes and chemicals. If a car keeps crashing because it has defective brakes, then you take it off the road and fix the brakes. You don't carry on driving it and destroying other cars until the car becomes useless. Covid is like scratches on the car, in most cases you can carry on with normal use. The lard arses are like the defective brakes - get them to stop stuffing their faces with cream cakes and rubbish food. I appreciate that there are some people who have health issues that are not their fault - obviously accidents, war injuries and disabilities caused by their parents use of pharmaceuticals, and of course we should help them. We should also try to avoid the creation of such disabilities in the future.

Almost all of the measures recommended to stop the virus are counter productive, and are designed to help the spread, and to slow down recovery. These include wearing masks, hand sanitising, 'flu and other vaccinations, wearing gloves, fever reducing chemicals, lock downs, plastic barriers. Even social distancing slow down activity, and reduces people's metabolic rate.

Why are muslims so frightened of discussion or criticism of their religion?
796  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid reinfection on: October 19, 2020, 03:55:29 PM
I've been researching the possibilities of re-infection, and this is what I have discovered.

re-infection is not possible in a normal healthy person, but it could happen if a person is severely malnourished.

Immature memory T-cells need vitamin "D" and zinc to covert into the mature T-cells that create antibodies. So lack of these essentials can lead to re-infection.

Mucociliary clearance is the process whereby cilia wash the lungs and airways to remove inhaled particles and pathogens, and they can become sticky through dehydration. A couple of the drugs that were given to Trump reduce the viscosity of the mucus, and this could be one reason why they help in recovery from Covid infection. A better method would probably be just to drink a few glasses of water. As a side note, wearing face masks can block the exhalation of particles lifted by mucosiliary escalation, and allow them to renter the airways.

Malnourishment can cause the body to start to shut down the immune system to protect other organs, so make sure you have a good and well balanced diet.

As has been mentioned, hydration is extremely important, so make sure you drink enough hydrating fluids ( and those don't include alcohol or coffee ).
797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 19, 2020, 03:06:09 PM
Viral load increases if you are in a tunnel with no ventilation.
Anyway, why should a healthy person be bothered about the virus, and if they are not healthy, then they should fix their health problems? We shouldn't be penalised because of their stupidity or lack of will power.
798  Other / Meta / Re: Embedding youtube videos on the forum. - why not? on: October 19, 2020, 02:42:42 PM
I hope this will never be implemented. It will be a real nuisance, especially if the quoting dick heads start nesting them in their quotes.

Just post a link with a description and give us the choice of triggering the link. Why should I slow down thread loading and waste bandwidrh just to display some juvenile or noisy video.
799  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 19, 2020, 02:36:31 PM
Why does it protect the staff? If one infected person passes long the line,  Their aerosol particles will stay in the air for many minutes if there is no air current. The masks don't help either, as they son't stop aerosols. Then you need to consider all of their shopping that is on the conveyor belt. That has been sitting in the atmosphere for hours, and will probably have been handled by numerous people.

Durin the early months of the fake pandemic, the infection was racing round the country, and I can remember seeing several people who appeared to have fairly severe symptoms, especially the ones in the queues for the Pharma counters. Despite this, I didn't hear of any supermarket staff who were admitted to hospital as a result of the virus. Of course they were building natural immunity during this period, and that is why you don't hear of them being off work due to Corona sickness.

I like the idea of vertical blowers, especially if they were humidifiers as well.

If you mean investing - then invest in your own training.
If you mean speculating, then you need to do a lot of reading first, and don't start to speculate until you understand the industry.
