81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the biggest marketcap of all coins - bigger than all coins mc combined: on: December 06, 2022, 09:43:15 AM
I wouldn´t judge a coin on it´s trading volume because it can easily manipulated by a bot, like
it is mostly happens even at big exchanges like binance and other centralised exchanges.

Hence the reason coinmarketcap dot com is measuring coins by its marketcap,
because this is the most significant.

Anyway, GELDC will be listed this month at a coinmarketcap page, although not
at coingecko or cmc, because they fear GELDC at top 1 at their pages, because
they are heavily invested in BTC, ETH and other big coins and if people see
GELDC at the top 1 position, millions would dump Bitcoin and ETH and other coins.

So, they strongly avoid to list GELDC, although GELDC doesnt depend on them,
because it found, like already mentioned, an other markectcap page where
it gets listed this month December at top 1 position, yes ahead of BTC and ETH,

Duuhhh

And you still couldn't share the other market cap site where your shitToken is listed. So because to create some humungous number of shitTokens that are trading for 0.00000000032 USD, you can easily do multiplication and conclude as you have done here;
Quote
Take that 0.00000000032 and multiply it with the supply of the GELDC token (you find the supply in their whitepaper also to find at their telegram group) and you get an atounding amount of $$$ high marketcap, to be exact: hti bigest marketcap of all coins and top 100 companies combined.
that makes it better or bigger than BTCitcoin or even Ethereum Grin Grin Grin
Pls if I might ask, is this your website with all your huge market cap?

82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: December 05, 2022, 09:14:01 AM
There is actually no realistic threat against Bitcoin. The reason is simply that Bitcoin is unstoppable. No government can stop it. Many have tried but look at where Bitcoin is now. It is up and running and growing and even adopted by governments themselves.

The very fact that we are now discussing about the possible ways to stop Bitcoin means that Bitcoin can't be stopped. But you can at least make it illegal. That wouldn't stop Bitcoin of course but at least you're instilling fear to the people.
Even if you make bitcoin illegal, it does not guarantee that people will stop from buying or using it. Although some may develop fear, but I think that’s only for those who are beginners in bitcoin, those who have been hodling or using bitcoin for long term will not be threaten anymore. Unless if you have control on the internet connection and shut it down like months, bitcoin will never exist anymore. But it will also affect the traditional money as well.
I don't think that Government around the world can simultaneously agree to ban or make Bitcoin illegal worldwide because people have different mentalities towards everything however if for any wired reason they could come together to agree on this and makes Bitcoin illegal then, the use and of Bitcoin might greatly be affected. How many people do you really think will continue to hodl BTC and how many miners will continue?
We all saw what happened with miners in China after the ban and the BTCitcoin network, imagine that replicated around the world.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 05, 2022, 07:56:56 AM
A few days ago, Elon Musk responded to a friend's tweet saying that the price of BTC may increase by the end of winter.  He also asked everyone to be patient.  It means that the future of BTCL is very bright and its price will increase.  We are all waiting for this winter to end and the market to return to its previous form.  InshaAllah the price of BTC and digital currency will return to the previous room thanks
Elon Musk always trying to be relevant in every way. No doubt, he is a wealthy personality and might have the ability to move the market sometimes but he shouldn't believe that will always be the case. If he really could, let him reverse the current market trend to a full bull market, I bet he can't. This market has its circles and has always follow through and until that is done, Elon is not telling us what we already know.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: December 05, 2022, 07:25:01 AM
Generally, if we talk about investment whether it was long-term or short-term still it corresponds to risks. But the good thing about holding term especially if you are investing potential coin like Bitcoin it removes your stress from what you have seen in daily market changes because you know that your invested coin will grow in the future.

But why do many people make it hard and become impossible? It is because holding long-term is not their comfort, and worries still in their mind that influence their decision and weaken their courage.
I agree that crypto investment is still risky whether it bee in long or short-term investment, however, some people see an opportunity of accumulating their crypto assets even if it is Bitcoin when the market is dipping rather than hodling through the season so that they can buy back at a lower price and not necessarily because of weakness. A long-term investment is good if you are the type that doesn't have time to monitor the market along with the noise that comes with it.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who don't use hardware wallets: Why not? on: December 04, 2022, 02:08:01 PM
In the same manner that you can also ask, why do people who have Bitcoin don't know anything about Bitcoin? I know of someone who invested money in Bitcoin but doesn't have a clue about what it is. I know of another who has Bitcoin herself but doesn't know what a hardware wallet is. She hasn't even heard of the Lightning Network yet. So if they don't even know what Bitcoin stands for, how surprising it would be to know that they don't have a hardware wallet?
From this, we can deduce that most people investing in Bitcoin nowadays are mostly doing so just for the sack of making a profit without even thinking of how to secure their Bitcoins. They only think, let me buy leave it in the exchange and sell it when it gains in price even though there are other means of securing your Bitcoin even if not in a hardware wallet if the cost was the issue.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to say? on: November 01, 2022, 03:56:40 PM
So is it safe to say that all this billionaires in the society controls the crypto market, because why's it that whenever they tweet about a project or just say a random words, the project start to pump?.

What's your opinion guys?
Well normally, you would expect those kinds of wealthy people to have a huge number of followers and those people will always want to do what their influencers are doing or talking about most of the time without verifying, and sadly, that's what fans do. So if these billionaires should for any reason tweet about a crypto projector or something remotely close, their followers will try to take advantage of that to get ahead and I don't think this happens only to crypto projects.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to crypto exchanges in the future? on: October 31, 2022, 01:12:56 PM
Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular and applicable everyday and there are plenty of companies and businesses accepting it as a common type of payment. However, when digital money is globally accepted, would there still be a need for cryptocurrency exchanges? Any thoughts on this?
I want to believe that Bitcoin is what you are referring to hare as digital money because if you are talking about digital fiat transactions, those are already widely used globally. However, I want to equally believe that Crypto exchanges will still be needed then because I don't believe every cryptocurrency will be adopted as bitcoin in terms of payments and we can witness that even now, so true that exchange will still exist for those Alts and maybe for other services too.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bery simple crypto questions from a new player on: October 31, 2022, 12:45:32 PM
If I invest €100 in a cryptocurrency and it has a current value of €0.01 per coin and the next day it has risen to €1.14 per coin, then that is an increase of 114%. Will I then have €11,400 instead of 100€ ?

And is it the same if I invest €100 in BTC and it goes from €10,000 per coin to €114,000. It's also 114% and then I have €11,400 instead of €100??

both are 114% raise but huge diffenrece in actuall coin value and market capacity. does it matter? or is it only the percentage of raise and fall.

I believe everyone that has responded here already gave you good advice whether it was based on your maths calculation or otherwise but what I want to point out here is, this seems like the usual Newbie thinking. Rather than focusing on knowing what is important in Bitcoin investment, it is all about the profits you will make from investing what amount that's your first priority even though you are calculating it wrongly. A typical Newbie mentality of thinking this will be their get-rich-quick channel and stop thinking of that king of % rise in a single day.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - How high can it go? on: October 31, 2022, 12:28:19 PM
I currently have 3% of a Bitcoin having started dollar cost averaging in June after the crash.

It is not a lot but it is slowly growing and I have many other Altcoins I am invested in so can't put everything into Bitcoin.

I am wondering what everyone thinks this the price of Bitcoin can realistically get to? $100k? $250k? $500k? $1m?

I am happy holding Bitcoin for the next 10 years or more if it reaches these prices above.

I am just debating if I should continue to DCA into Bitcoin or sell all and put into stronger altcoins which will see better ROI over the next few years.

There is nothing better than to continue to DCA into Bitcoin as long as you can do it. Yeah, some Alts might be also profitable but Bitcoin is a better guarantee of your investment if you are planning to hodling for a long time.
And considering whether the price of Bitcoin might get to $100k or more, I believe it is just a matter of time before we would see that price per BTCitcoin reached, history has thought us that much.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie trading believe on: October 30, 2022, 08:11:44 PM
Do people comes into crypto space and expect daily cashout 💸 💰 this is one of best lie about crypto Market 🤔 😀

It's not possible to have a daily cashout from the market , but lots of new traders thinks when you invest in Crypto today by tomorrow they should be expecting something huge.
I do understand what you are saying and I believe there are some people that think cryptocurrency investment or trading is a place for quick money however and they end up taking a lot of loss, I do however know of traders that make between $30-$100 daily from trading depending, and you know what that means in a month.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Can A Redesign of A Countries Currency Note Improve Its Economy? on: October 30, 2022, 07:25:52 AM
In recent news, it is the plan of the Nigerian government to redesign its currency notes. I don't know why such a project at this time is even mentioned, because other worst case scenarios that require redesign is left abandoned or nearly abandoned in total.
My thoughts is on how such a government at these time of flooding and inflation would think that by redesign the currency, such issue will be the remedy to the countries huge debt margin or natural disaster ongoing.
Do you think the effect of redesigning the nations currency note will be of benefit to the economy and nation at large?
Let's discuss!

https://nairametrics.com/2022/10/26/cbn-redesign-naira-notes/
I think the Government has made it known why they are doing this even if most of the citizens might not agree with the move to redesign the 200, 500, and 1000 Naira Notes. They claim that there are too many of those monies in the hands of Politicians that are planning to buy election votes in the coming 2023 General election and we know what the story was with the last concluded primary elections of some 2 major parties.

Also, the government mentioned that, with many of the Kidnappings that have happened recently, Billions of Naira are in the hands of the Bandits and their sponsors and this will either all of them to return those old designs to the bank or choose to lose them when those notes expire as Nigerian Legal tender by 31 January 2023.

I too believe there would have been a better way to address the insecurity Issue the country is facing and deal with the corrupt politicians instead of spending money that the country doesn't have on redesigning and printing new currencies which would have been used for other very important areas of the economy like the flood issue the country is currently facing.

96  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: October 30, 2022, 07:06:26 AM
a friend of mine came to me and he asked, is it possible to invest in bitcoin and crypto for the short term,? which is to meet daily needs, and I am confused to answer because I am still a beginner in bitcoin and crypto. and I want to ask everyone about it?
Investing as far as I am concerned is usually for the long term, this is the most guaranteed way to make better profits from Bitcoin unless your friend knows how to day trade Huh which I don't believe so. He is thinking of making profits for daily needs, I am afraid that this is not the best option for that but trading is also a very serious thing and needs every attention with no emotion.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - 🔥 🚀 Minereum is Launched on ETH, BSC and Polygon 🚀 on: October 29, 2022, 12:29:38 PM
I just stumbled upon this just yesterday, didn't even know I had it in my wallet for about a year now

I have been trying to understand the withdrawal process by doing some research since I don't even remember participating Grin but so far I have not seen any confirmation of anyone that was able to successfully withdraw or sell.
I read from https://polygon.minereum.com/howto#upgrade to activate to a level 2 to activate and mining but how has this worked for anyone?
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Growing Money is Knowledge on: October 29, 2022, 06:34:09 AM
You shouldn't be keeping money it's a bad behaviour, the difference between a rich personnel and a poor person is rich people don't keep their money in the bank or at home, they use their money in various part of good investments, rich people don't have money at hand that's why they don't lend money to anyone, it's always invested 24/7.
Money making more Money  Wink Some people thinks it is the amount of cash you are holding in the bank accounts that determine how rich you are. Your money should be invested so that you are earning more. It is your Investments put together that actually determines how much you are worth, not your money in the Bank, which could be depleted by Inflation anyway.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: October 29, 2022, 06:26:51 AM
During a bear market, almost every new project is going to fail immediately.
The funds required for the startup to begin will not be there, investors will not fill the presales, and scams will rule.
What could have a small chance to succeed, now has zero.
It takes backing from big exchanges and connections with investors for a project to succeed.

Having said that, I never stopped looking and will keep investing during the bear market appropriately.

But for anyone that considers leaving, know that this market will reward those that stayed. It is the time to educate yourselves.
I've seen even silly spammers changing their ways and realizing there is a lot more everyone can offer by changing their ways.
For now, it is the time we count losses, but also we strengthen and rise to the challenges we face.

Besides the new cryptocurrencies, from my perspective, I'd look more at cryptocurrencies that hold utility, keep developing and have a serious community.

Firstly, people that leave the market just because it is bear season never really knows or understand why they came into the market in the first place because, Bear markets are when you have the opportunity to buy at a low and if they don't understand this, then I don't get it.
Not every new project will fail immediately in the Bear market. We have seen projects that launched in the bear season and still made it through, I believe if the Devs truly knows what they have and are offering and chose to launch during the bear market, they must have done all due diligence and most that fall are usually scam projects anyway.

100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: October 29, 2022, 06:01:15 AM
How mentally prepared are you to be able to survive the market situation by holding onto your coins and not selling them at a loss? Being patient is key since, no matter the market situation, 1 BTC is still 1 BTC.

if someone X takes 30,000$ and buys 1 BTC for the price of 30,000$ and then the price of bitcoin drops a lot to 20,000$ and if someone Z appears and says: " don't worry because 1 BTC is still 1 BTC " honestly, this person Z will not be understanding that person X in the bank had 30,000$ and in his wallet the 1 BTC is 20,000$. this is a big loss and no matter what is said, the person X will be sad, because he has losses

if you calculate it in Fiat of course it is a loss, but if you realize that person X has not sold the 1 BTC to the price of $ 20,000 then there is no loss for him, it's just the price that will continue to move if you keep holding 1 BTC. In the long run it will be profitable and don't sell below your buying price. there will be no loss before deciding to sell. Mental readiness is needed because the market fluctuates quite quickly.
Exactly, but the issue is, I believe most investors are not mentally ready for that. They only want to see the price of BTCitcoin going up from where they bought, which might not be that case. Mental readiness is knowing what your target sell point is and until that is reached, you don't border about whether if fell from your price of purchase.
