801  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet hacked? on: September 17, 2023, 10:02:16 PM
This is a information leaked and the site didn’t lose the money which still makes them a secured site or Cloudbet didn’t disclose this, fortunately I have no account with Cloudbet. Having a casino license doesn’t guarantee safety and being responsible will always depend on the integrity of the site, let’s see how Cloudbet will handle this situation as they are one of the pioneer when it comes to crypto casinos.

What situation? There's no situation here! Please take the time to read some of the other replies in the thread before responding, not just the original post.

There was no hack on Cloudbet or any data leak from the site that we know of. Why make assumptions? This is just some random guy claiming his password was leaked, even though, from what he described, it may not be true at all. If there really was a hack or data leak, don't you think we would have heard about it by now?
802  Other / Meta / Re: Without merit... on: September 17, 2023, 08:30:14 PM
without merit how can YOU rate a post as a quality post or how can you appreciate a quality post?

How can you rate a post without merit? You can simply reply to it with a message like "I appreciate your post" or "I disagree with your point". Or something along those lines... And then, explain your perspective.

I think it's a straightforward way to express your opinion in online communities.
803  Other / Meta / Re: What's a trust list? on: September 17, 2023, 05:21:44 PM
@DYING_S0UL, you can learn everything there is to know about Trust Lists and Trust Settings from these two links posted by LoyceV. As for the Ignore list, it's pretty self-explanatory. When you Ignore someone, their name will appear on your Ignore list. You can edit your Ignore list by removing or adding users to it. Admins will not affect it in any way.
804  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: September 16, 2023, 03:09:34 PM
If there is a top paid shill award this year, you would absolutely have to be in contention. Your posts and seeing you blow off this casino admin and BoXXoB makes me sick.
Get a life dude!  Roll Eyes
You are again talking offtopic bullshit that has nothing to do with l0tt0 website.
If you want to talk more about your obsession with member BoXXoB than create separate topic for that and talk about him 24/7 if you want.

It's not off-topic. L0tt0 is using BoXXoB for campaign management, BoXXoB's previous campaigns involved a $xx million to $xxx million scam. I'm not doing anything wrong by asking questions that could potentially help the community.

BenCodie, you are off-topic here! BoXXoB is their campaign manager. If you have a personal issue with him, it would be more appropriate to address this matter in his service thread or start a new discussion in the Reputation board.

A thread? Yes, that was on my long to-do list. However asking questions here is important for that thread too. You don't make a case until you have everything you need to do so.

You believe you have a valid case? Then, man up and create a thread in the Reputation section. Let's see what happens!

If this kind of discussion isn't what L0tt0 want, maybe they should have done some due diligence on BoXXoB before hiring him. It's not my fault that I'm here.

What are you talking about? Dewez was extremely considerate in responding to all your questions. This only proves that you aren't genuinely interested in his replies; rather, it appears you have your own agenda, whatever that might be.

(Let me guess, I'm next on your distrust list now?)
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino... Fun or Not? on: September 15, 2023, 12:03:07 PM
I had to use a VPN to access the site. Clearly, I won't be depositing any real money since I'd rather not take that risk. It's unfortunate that there are so many restricted countries.

Here in UE-Italy is working fine!

I don't understand this. How is it possible for Italy to be allowed when, for instance, Germany, France, and many other EU countries are prohibited?
806  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project feedback on: September 15, 2023, 11:43:38 AM
<...>
This will allows us to prevent people from abusing our contest by creating different accounts with different email addresses or bots.

It's great to see that you've already thought about this issue and have a solution to reduce false registrations. One additional aspect I believe should be considered is how to keep followers engaged. Consider the example of freebitco.in; they provide one free spin in their Wheel of Fortune game in every newsletter. This encourages subscribers to at least go through the entire newsletter to reach the WoF free spin banner at the end. You might want to think about something similar.
807  Economy / Reputation / Re: If someone is a proven liar, do they deserve to be given negative trust? on: September 14, 2023, 10:17:33 PM
I think we are forgetting the main point if we are talking about lying without considering its effect.

A white lie which doesn't actually effect anyone in comparison to a lie that may increase a person's trade risk or trustworthiness would be very different to situations to one another.

That wasn't the main point here because you didn't present your initial question in that manner.

So, to address your question once more: "If someone is a proven liar, should they get negative trust?"
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Please refer to my initial reply in this thread.
<...> it's kind of a tricky thing that can change depending on the situation. Not all lies are the same, if you get my drift.
808  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The story of Betnomi.com (Exit Scam) on: September 14, 2023, 08:25:52 PM
A follow up question. When betnomi.com went offline without any explanations, was betnomi.bet accessible and live at all times or was there a period when the .bet version was also down? I am asking because if it went offline and came back, maybe there is a plan to try and revive the brand in the future through the .bet site.

As far as I could tell, it was active all the time. They shifted their old website (which used old software and an old database) to a secondary domain when they launched a completely new platform from scratch in 2021. I don't believe the "bet" domain was ever intended to be a "live" casino site.

Hello everyone, we are back in the forum after a few months of silence.
In this time period, we have been developing from scratch our new gaming platform to address all the issues with the old platform.
With our new platform, we hope to deliver an experience second to none.

We are currently in a soft launch (beta mode) so, still collecting data/feedbacks and updating the system
After a few weeks, we will do an official announcement for the launch.

Unfortunately, we are not going to be exporting data from the old platform
and that means you would have to create a new account to access the new platform.

You can access the old platform at http://betnomi.bet to retrieve your information and withdraw your funds if you have any.

Our team will remain active in the forum moving forward and answer all your questions.

Thank you all for the support.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ouch, today someone made a transaction with over $500k fee. on: September 14, 2023, 07:13:58 PM
F2Pool owner is now asking the community what they should do with the funds: https://nitter.cz/satofishi/status/1702095123981738437#m

Given how much PayPal are more than happy to screw over regular people for literally no reason whatsoever, I have no strong feelings either way what happens here.

So is it PayPal or Paxos? According to a Cointelegraph article, Paxos admitted that they screwed up the transaction. But don't worry, they can just "print" more Pax dollars to cover the loss!  Cheesy
810  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project feedback on: September 14, 2023, 06:26:34 PM
What do you guys think ? I need your feedback as players and therefore potential subscribers.

That's a solid idea overall. But here's a little concern I've got: if signing up for the newsletter is open to everyone for free, how are you planning to tackle the issue of fake registrations? In theory, someone could whip up a bunch of email addresses just to up their chances of winning, and it could be pretty tough to spot. When you're dealing with freebies, you've got to keep in mind that there'll be folks trying to game the system.
811  Economy / Reputation / Re: If someone is a proven liar, do they deserve to be given negative trust? on: September 14, 2023, 03:44:42 PM
I suppose you are right. However that also a pretty big fact to drop...that the majority of this forum would be in negative trust because lying is apparently so common..

The results of nearly all scientific research on the general population show that even honest people tell an average of up to two lies a day. These are mostly referred to as "white lies," but they are lies nonetheless. Approximately 75% of the total number of participants fall into this group. About 20% of people are intermediate liars, telling 3-5 lies per day, while 5% are prolific liars who tell 6 or more lies per day.

Welcome to the forum, jamierbw! Your post appears to be an announcement for your online casino site. This is allowed (one thread per site only), but I suggest moving your topic to the Gambling board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

Some descriptions are definitely taken directly from Wikipedia with little to no changes. If anything, I'd argue that a plagiarism case can be made here.

Wikipedia is a free and accessible source of information. It was created for people to use open information

I don't want to turn this into another thread about plagiarism and why it is immoral to use other people's content without crediting the original author. If you are a professional, you should already know this.

I would just like to point out Wikipedia's terms of use:

Re-use: Reuse of content that we host is welcome, though exceptions exist for content contributed under "fair use" or similar exemptions under applicable copyright law. Any reuse must comply with the underlying license(s).
When you reuse or redistribute a text page developed by the Wikimedia community, you agree to attribute the authors in any of the following fashions:
  • Through hyperlink (where possible) or URL to the page or pages that you are reusing (since each page has a history page that lists all contributors, authors and editors);
  • Through hyperlink (where possible) or URL to an alternative, stable online copy that is freely accessible, which conforms with the license, and which provides credit to the authors in a manner equivalent to the credit given on the Project Website; or
  • Through a list of all authors (but please note that any list of authors may be filtered to exclude very small or irrelevant contributions).

Juventus are lining up Arsenal's 30-year-old Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey as a replacement for 30-year-old France midfielder Paul Pogba, whose contract could be terminated if he is found to have breached anti-doping rules. (La Repubblica - Italian)
Pogba may face a potential ban of up to four years due to a positive testosterone test. According to reports, Juventus is considering terminating his contract regardless of the length of the ban.
I don't think this is possible, Arsenal is still lack of midfielder, that's why Havertz is playing in midfielder.

The only possibility Arsenal will let Partey to join Juventus if Juventus is willing to let Vlahovic join Arsenal, Arsenal is still looking for a new striker since the last season. This will not gonna be easy for Juventus, but I hope they accept this deal to make Arsenal become more stronger and we will see a new color in Arsenal.

I'm not sure if this transfer will actually go through, but I do recall reading news over a month ago about Juventus talking to Arsenal about signing Thomas Partey. I don't believe it's related to Pogba's contract at all.

815  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most liquid companies in the gambling industry on: September 13, 2023, 07:36:58 PM
It appears that all the companies listed by the OP don't have a presence in the online gambling industry. I'm not sure where the OP sourced this information, but there are certainly some major players missing from the list that focus on the online casino sector exclusively. For example, just in Europe, some of the major sponsors for prominent football clubs are online casinos, contributing millions of dollars annually to support some of the continent's largest clubs. Take, for example, Bwin, a brand under the Entain Group with shares traded on the London Stock Exchange, or BET365, which, as per the latest data, boasts an annual income in the billions of pounds.

Hey Josh,
The Affiliate Program with a 10% cut sounds like a sweet deal. Looking forward to checking it out when it's live.

I wanted to ask you something earlier, but you're always busy, so I didn't want to bother you.  Wink Any plans to add more games to the site? I get that you mainly thought of it as a lotto game, which is cool, but I was thinking it could be neat to include some classic games that crypto gamblers are into, like maybe dice or a crash game, for instance. I don't think it would hurt, and it might attract some new players.
817  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: September 12, 2023, 07:17:57 PM

Who can vote?
Everyone at Bitcointalk

When you exclude some good casinos but include some shit casinos in the list, itself enough to conclude what's your goal is. I'm not wondered that you skipped so many casinos here. Don't forget to add the size of the total vote cast by the way. If it's less than 20% of the active people, don't call it community selected.

I will not call it community selected, if the members don't want to participate.
We think the list is OK, more fair than most of the payed listings you see in online casino guides.

Seriously, you left out some incredibly popular casino sites with years of reputation, and you've included casinos that didn't even exist a few months back, not to mention some with a seriously bad reputation in the community, all vying for the title of "Best Casino of the Year"? Are we supposed to buy into the idea that there's no ulterior motive here?

Feel free to call your list however you like, but I'm not buying into it. You won't be getting my vote.
818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I just purchased my first bitcoin on: September 12, 2023, 06:54:19 PM
So my first advice is take your funds off exchanges to self custodian wallets like electrum, because not your keys not your coins .

I completely agree that keeping lots of crypto on exchanges isn't smart. However, withdrawing may not be the best solution for the OP given the amount involved. I don't know Binance's withdrawal fees, but losing a chunk of your funds to secure a small amount doesn't make sense. In my opinion, $10 isn't worth the hassle, so using Binance should be fine.

Hello guys congratulation to me, I just purchased my first  bitcoin...

Hey there, OP! First off, congrats on your purchase. If you plan to continue investing, here's a tip: consider moving your Bitcoin to your own wallet whenever it reaches a substantial amount in your eyes, like hitting $100 worth of BTC. This way, you won't have to worry about your funds getting stuck on the exchange, and you'll save on fees by making one withdrawal instead of multiple smaller ones.

My account is new, I cannot post on reddit, you will see when the time comes.

I will share it on Twitter when the time comes

Feel free to post it here, even if you're newbie. This forum has nothing to do with Reddit.
But if you're not up for sharing it just yet, what's the point of this topic? Are you trying to leave us hanging in suspense?

Since his post looks like it was written using google translate, maybe by ":stock exchange" he actually means crypto exchange as I've seen people calling it that way.

Yep, that might just be the case. I couldn't help but throw in a little sarcasm there.  Cheesy
820  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hello, get ready for big scandals on: September 11, 2023, 09:46:28 PM
Hello, soon I will tell you about the scandals regarding the employees, supreme board and referees of a large stock exchange and you will see how bad this stock exchange is.

This forum primarily focuses on discussions about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I doubt that many people here are particularly interested in some stock exchange and what is happening there. You could still share the information, but perhaps it's best to move the topic to the Off-topic section, as I don't see a more fitting board for it.
