Whether you're aware that you're not yet] addicted. IMO, it's important to have yourself always on check.

You don't know if you're still in shape and you can really control yourself or not anymore and you're just trying to prove it based on your thought but without looking at some evidence.

There are gamblers that are in denial and trying to skip that part because they know what they are up to when they check themselves.
802  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why can't we live in peace? on: March 26, 2024, 08:17:38 PM
What makes a person thirst for war? Is it control, power, or is this his nature?
All of those are correct and add many from it, greed, belief, territories expansion, and many more.

Honestly, just by looking at many posts in the internet. I don't understand why many are glorifying these wars as if they're prepared to die while sitting on their homes comfortably startling and triggering other people that soon there will be more wars.

I know and I understand that we have no control over these matters. But it's about the differences of these world leaders and why they can't just talk over it peacefully? I guess that's how the world works when most leaders have their own prides, reasoning and logical thinking about international affairs. Them being winners if they win this war but we are the mostly affected here, emotionally, psychologically and those that are in the ground, losing their loved ones.

While the rich are making their bunkers, they know what might happen soon.  Undecided
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 26, 2024, 07:25:13 PM
It's the same as don't gamble when you're drunk.
There are some people who are the exceptions to this but this is true in almost all cases. I've seen some "seasoned" drunkards still do well with card games. They become more talkative and laughs a lot but they can still handle their game.
Those are like the drunken masters.  Cheesy

But true, that I know in real life that they can still do stuff even if they're drunk but don't do it still because they might have long experience in drinking.

And, it's not that recommended at all to gamble when you're drunk because you're about to lose your focus and correct thinking because of being confused due to alcohol.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Innovative methods or technologies" on: March 26, 2024, 06:54:00 PM
But yeah I agree POS is sucks, it's actually a protocol that will kill Bitcoin's purpose, Bitcoin will never ever adopt POS.
POS will never be a good option for Bitcoin. Having it with a limited supply is already enough for its value and as for it becoming a POS then it's just going to give more vulnerability as it's will lessen the security of it so, more flaws to come.

I don't think the developers will find a solution to combat against high fees because with the high adoption and we want a secure network, high fees is inevitable.
Exactly.

Every time that there will be a proposal and after its implementation, another problem will occur and this is like an attached problem that we'll never see go because of the high demand.
805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick way to learn bitcoin trading on: March 26, 2024, 06:12:47 PM
To bad for this people they want to rush everything about their bitcoin investment that's why usually they fall on scams since they meet those fake guru that invites them on their scam programs and fall for it as a victim.

If they really want to learn about bitcoin then they must consider to search for lots of information about this and they are ready to read a lot of articles then watch some valuables videos comes from different sources then for sure they can learn by doing that in process. They need to know that there's no easy way on everything and if someone promise them like that then most likely those guy have bad intention to them and they will just trying to lure them on a scam.
Yeah, most of the ones who are rushing are the ones that becomes a victim of fake and scam investments in crypto.

They think that those are going to teach them but I guess and sure it does teaches them but on how to protect themselves to scams once or after they've become a victim of it.

Whatever we learn certainly requires a process so that we can understand it well, even for those who already have a background in trading in different markets, of course they need a process to be able to find out the strategies they will use in trading to be able to generate profits and for an individual. For those who are new to trading, of course they have to learn slowly to really understand it well so that they can trade correctly and not experience a lot of losses on the first try they make.
They have to choose the slow process but if they're a genius and from being a total newbie into being an experienced expert, that's good for them.

Because there are people that has natural born talent into quick adapting and learning.
806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick way to learn bitcoin trading on: March 26, 2024, 10:44:43 AM
Learning even outside crypto takes time. Please don't think that someone can learn trading quickly without the background of trading in other markets.

Those people that have traded before and has been in some other markets can be said to be quick learners because they have the idea on how the market works and have learned strategies on how they can profit from it.

But if a total beginner and came from nothing, it's best to learn it through slow walkthrough.
807  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto Dictionary - Your opinion on: March 26, 2024, 09:57:26 AM
I've seen the same websites about having these information in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Your website is good but I think you can lessen the pages by moving from center to left and right part of the pages.

But the good part of it being in the center is that there's the short description that visitors can read. With what I've seen, most of them have just brief description and that's why they can fill left and right space of the website.
808  Other / Off-topic / Re: Learn to leave a dept/loan free life. on: March 25, 2024, 11:55:48 PM
What is your loan experience? Or what have you experienced?
Terrible, we've got terms on exact date when I will pay it. But it wasn't even follow and the loaner did asked me the money too early where I've promised to pay it on a specific date. That's why I've stopped asking for any loan.

And how were you able to handle it to get back on your feet?
Yes, it wasn't that much but it was an experience that I don't want to happen again because it seems that I should be pitied because of that.

This is in real life and long time before even crypto existed.
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFTs just marketing gimmicks with no added value? on: March 25, 2024, 11:26:19 PM
I struggled with the proper placement of this topic. This is clearly a Bitcoin-related (blockchain-related) topic, and I think belongs on Bitcointalk.org, generally speaking.
You're right about this but this is a section for mostly Bitcoin discussions and not NFT/altcoin blockchain discussions.

There's the right section for this, you can move it from here through "move topic" at the bottom of this page.

But there's no dedicated area of NFTs on this website, or something that would seem to cover that topic in a general way.

810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upon the death of a bitcoin user. on: March 25, 2024, 10:56:33 PM
Satoshi said they're like donations to the community.

In terms of the altcoins market, they're like burned already as those bitcoins are gone forever. That's why if you hold some bitcoin, it's up to you whether you'd tell a family member or relative that you own one.

But you know at these times, it's quite dangerous to tell someone that you own and hold bitcoin because they might think of you as someone who's truly rich and bad things can happen to you like being attacked by a wrench or any other worst things possible.
811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: March 25, 2024, 10:23:15 PM
There are those types of investors that are looking into quantity and not quality because that's their principle and strategy on this market.

To me, that's fine because it is their money and whatever works for them should be done by them because they believe that works.

But based on my experience and what I have seen with many folks, it doesn't really work like magic because the more you invest in various altcoins, the more complicated your portfolio becomes.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 09:55:36 PM
It's the same as don't gamble when you're drunk. Don't gamble when you've got big problems and the list goes on so that you won't have any trouble at all.

Basically, we don't do our things when we're tired as that's going to give a different result that we're expecting.

Just don't do anything when you're exhausted and take some rest because that's all you need to do. And as you gamble, you've seen that you're going to lose a lot when you keep on doing that again.
813  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Adam Project on: March 25, 2024, 09:21:46 PM
I have watched this and most fathers will love this movie, it's a great one.

If time travel exists somewhere in the future, I would definitely go back and tell my younger self to invest in bitcoin right away.
Most people that are seeing the value of bitcoin now has always regretted that they didn't buy in the past. And with such examples like this, this is a common answer that  they'd go back to the past and will definitely buy bitcoin. But as per the time travel rules, one thing that you change in the past then will definite change a lot in the future.

Now, the second thing I wondered about is how is it that with these many movies about time travel and so many explanations regarding how it works…. We still have not done it yet? I don’t think we’ve ever been even close.
We don't know but if there's really time travel, those that are using the time machine can't go back in the past but in the future.

Do you think time travel is truly possible? And if it is, do you think we are close to inventing it?
There are a lot of mysterious things in this world and one of it is time travel, maybe it really is possible to go in the future.
814  Other / Off-topic / Re: Assisted Suicide on: March 25, 2024, 08:51:53 PM
There's this "mercy killing" or "euthanasia" that have been done for years. It's the same as this assisted suicide.

This is a sensitive topic and we don't know someone's situation if it's actually going to help them or not when they're in terrible situation and they want to end it because they can't take it anymore.  Undecided

It's all the same, they just rename it. Sarco machine though is just painless.
There are other ways like putting you to sleep and then injecting a dose to make the muscles relax and then stop the heart from pumping.

It's just insane that you need to pay in order to die. I would probably just jump from the 10th floor and enjoy the fall if I wanted to die. It's free. Its for the sick bedridden so its for them
I wouldn't even do that. I'll just wait until my last breath and I don't want to go things that are up against the nature.

If I die with a disease or anything, I want it to become a natural death. I know that it's going to give me pain until I just wanna give up and I understand those that are going through with that pain.

But that's how I want if ever God is gonna take my life and it's my time to go.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 25, 2024, 08:22:40 PM
That's a rare instance but I agree that we have to check it and make it a habit wherever we're going to get our deposit addresses.

So, this could also potentially happen in some services that you're using their address and not from your own wallet that you've generated. Even it is a rare thing to commence.

Do it at all times whenever you're going to send or give it to someone that will send you funds in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.
Its good that the said casino did really make out such consideration on giving it back on which it would really be just that right that they would really be doing so specially if they havent been able to include it into their terms or having no announcement of such change address then its just right that they would be giving it back because if its not and its been proven that this is an address that belongs to the casino then it would
really be making such big ruckus when complaints and issues been raised. Just like on what most people been saying that it would be always better that you should really be checking deposit addresses on the time that you would really be making out such transfers on which we know that there might be some last minute change on which it would really be resulting into such hassle on which this is something
that we dont really like to happen.
The casino has to because that's his deposit and they've made such changes without having some announcement for everyone's awareness.

Even I, if it happens to me. I'd continue to have talks with the support because that deposit is I've hard worked money.

So, we just do what OP has done and needs to check any updates because on his case, he never lacked of checking it.

818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your worst nightmare in a casino? on: March 24, 2024, 11:52:30 AM
Worst nightmare for me would be that I'm accused by the casino of cheating and that casino isn't your typical casino but a mobster or mafia owned casino, that's going to be anyone's nightmare I think especially if you didn't do any of the things that they're accusing you of, you'd be scared to death of this one, your imagination will be going through all the worse things that they're going to do to you just to make you pay for what you've done.
I guess that you're watching too much mafia movies but this is truly scary. I've seen real life situations like this that lives were being compromised because of some "big" people inside the organization and the gambling industry.

Anything can happen like kidnappings, bribery and all of those scary stuff and that's why I just want to remain as a casual gambler and don't want to get involved with those kind of bigger pots.

Well, what I am about to say probably not a worst but can be said and conclude that it is and when it is when I see my wife do it and we meet inside the casino premises.  Undecided
819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When is the best time to trade a Bitcoin on: March 24, 2024, 10:59:32 AM
Watch your pockets carefully too. You have to know when your best time to buy is when you've got your money going to the market again.
This is the best thing which are needed to be checked before jumping into this way because as we all know just spend which you can afford to lost is the best policy so here as I am still believed I am newbie, and I usually hold my all stuff in bitcoin I have target to stay with this for long time even I am going to achieve my target which is currently long way to go but still usually when I needed cash I spend my bitcoin for my requirement and then have to cover this all in near future.
That's a good plan that you've mentioned. You understand what you're doing and you're not forced to sell when you are about to do it.

It's normal when someone has a need to spend that money and you've got no other source of it so, you end up selling a part of your Bitcoin. But it is better if you've got some other source where you can pull that money and for you to keep that Bitcoin based on the plan of span for holding it.

I never go with any strategy just trying to have all my stuff under my own policy which is working good for me in last few years and things are also going helpful but when we have huge drops I love to have few bytes for myself which are usually bonus.
It's very simple, your money then your rules.

But if it's about investing, we really need to have some concrete plan and some contingency plans if things go south but knowing this is Bitcoin, you don't have to worry about such.
