I've stumbled upon a tournament in SEA for Dota 2 named RES - Regional Series SEA #1.

IHC and Talon esports are the ones that have fought at the grand finals and it's just a best of 3 series game. Talon Esports made 2-0 against IHC and took home $25k prize as the champ.

There's this point that they've won too which is 100 but I don't understand for what it is. Maybe RES globally?
I guess they'll have a leaderboard similar to what ESL has done with their EPT leaderboard, where teams that accumulated the most points through smaller tournaments would eventually be qualified in bigger tournaments.

It's like the leaderboards for tier 2 teams, but there's not much info on the tournaments or the points system. I only found some clues because they're also organizing tournaments in CS2, specifically the CCT online tournaments.
Hmmm.

This means that they might have a global RES soon and all of the regional winners or those that have qualified points are going to participate with that soon.

There's still lack of details within it and there's not that much good tournaments that we have lately. Most of these tournaments are sponsored either by another casino or by a huge organization that just want to have a huge exposure from the dota 2 community.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 22, 2024, 09:09:01 PM
Games of the future for Dota 2, a lot of teams have already eliminated and we're about to get down to 4 teams remaining. The last on going match right now is with PSG.Quest and Boom Esports.

While it is not surprising to see that 3 out of these 4 remaining teams are from the China region. This is already a foreshadowing that we're going to have a chinese team being champion of this tournament.  Cheesy

I'm a fan of lump sum buying but you need big balls for that
I am for both.

Just for the sake of not having any hassle and if I've planned to hold for long term. I'd do lump sum so that I won't be bothered anymore and let the market work on its own.

like the ones that guy had who sold his house and lived in a van with his family because that gave him an opportunity to buy bitcoin.
His name is Didi Taihuttu.

He's got really the balls together with his fam.

I don't know what exciting things are in web3. I am quite interested on them but I don't really follow the space a lot.

I am also excited about the upcoming halving. I can almost gurantee that BTC is going to skyrocket!!!! Good Luck!
All of us are excited.

Once halving is done, Bitcoin goes up and so as the web3 projects out there. May not be the majority of them but for sure that many of them are going to come with BTC at the top.
805  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto traders holders and prison problem on: February 21, 2024, 11:45:34 PM
Let them talk to their relatives and give the instructions on how to buy BTC and when they should buy it. That's part of the punishment for being in jail, you'll have limited access to everything.

It's a privilege to have an internet connection and I think some jails allow that but most of them not. So, that's really how it goes when someone is in jail time.

It's part of the punishment and sentence.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH before halving. Is it possible? on: February 21, 2024, 11:02:44 PM
Every cycle and after the halving, it's always unique.

That's why we might see another unique ATH and bull run this time. But about the price of how much it will be for Bitcoin, safe predictions are telling that it might reach $100k.

And there are other higher speculations but as told to be safe, that's it for this cycle and the pattern goes on for the next years to come.
807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Withdrawing profits from Coinbase? on: February 21, 2024, 10:30:10 PM
I just want to be prepared.
Then that's it, no matter what will be the fee then you have to prepare for it together with the tax that you're liable to pay.

I don't use Coinbase so, just going on through their website about the fees is where you'll mostly get the idea on how much you should be prepared for and with someone who's a regular user of it.

809  Other / Off-topic / Re: your favorite song (any language) on: February 21, 2024, 08:44:59 PM
@OP.

The singer of 'All of me' isn't Johnny Legends but it's John Legend. I thought that it is in the form of another language based on your title but I understood that you're simply talking about John Legend.  Cheesy

When I was younger, I'm into the music of Maroon 5 and MCR. Well, those were the days and I'm older now and still I hear some of their music and songs but it's not as often as before.

Busy days....
Was thinking of it also when I first read this thread and thought OP will correct it eventually but it isn't  Grin
But it's not a big deal though. It's fine.  Grin

Looks like Same bracket of Age  Grin , Maroon5  and some are BackstreetBoys while others loves Nirvana/GunsEnRoses/Metallica
Yeah, we're on the same era brother. Don't forget about a not so far era with Air Supply too.  Cheesy

now we are aging I love country music and sometime Jazz .
I think that there's a scientific explanation about this that as we get older, we're changing with the genre of music that we like. Just as you, I also start liking those type of genres.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: NOT BUYING ANY COIN, BUT STILL TRADING on: February 21, 2024, 08:03:03 PM
Futures, forex and options.

Futures trading is risky, of course, and someone without much knowledge and experience about the market can barely earn a profit from it, losing your capital and getting liquidated are always available possibilities. However, options trading is way riskier than it because you are straight up gambling with your money on the market and we all know how unpredictable the market gets most of the time.
They can try it for them to see if it's a good idea to get on it. Because if they're not going to understand how does futures works, they'll get liquidated easily.

It is deemed by many as another source of income which is true but it's not that easy how they think that they'll pass on and have successful trades.
811  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dealing with Regret on: February 21, 2024, 07:30:53 PM
How does one deal with regret over not researching and becoming a Bitcoiner earlier?
Just deal and accept it.

You'll have to accept that part that it's done and we've missed those early days of Bitcoin. Nothing is going to change with our lives if we keep on dwelling in the past.

You accept it, buy and hold and keep the faith that we're still on the early days of bitcoin and the entire world hasn't adopted yet. There's more to come actually for Bitcoin even if it's already sitting $50k - $52k now.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't it all about money? on: February 21, 2024, 06:53:04 PM
For many, it is but for some it's all about their passion into doing something that is rewarding. You're not wrong with that analogy as long as you're earning money honestly.

So, what you think is better for you should be done and that's your way on how to survive this world and bad times. While the others, if they're going through with the typical process that you're doing against, you can't also stop them if they're passionate about it.

What matters is that all of us are bringing honest money to bring food to our tables.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 21, 2024, 06:23:55 PM
50/50 split is a good choice if they can't be in a relationship anymore. I've been into this situation but not with a friend.

Whenever it is about money, someone is really trying to outsmart you and that's why if you're kind enough you'll be taken advantaged by that person.

So, for each of their welfare to have a fair share, that's all they need to agree with. And after taxes, they take each of them 50% as a share and they're good to go.
814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start preparing for the next bear run. on: February 21, 2024, 05:55:25 PM
Buying Bitcoin during the bear market should be more appealing than buying when the bull run is already around the corner.
This is true.

But you can't stop people if they are just active during the bull run and that's the time they're going to start accumulating. They don't want the market to be so slow and it doesn't encourage them to buy at that time.

If they want to have some more and maximize the potential of the bull run, they should prepare it long ago including the accumulation during the period of bear market and I agree.
815  Other / Off-topic / Re: The end of money erea on: February 21, 2024, 05:21:01 PM
Hi community...

Some still prefer using cash, perhaps because they are more inclined towards the tangible nature of physical currency or because it provides confidentiality in transactions. In contrast, digital payments, which occur by swiping a card or a few taps on a mobile phone, are becoming more common.
Maybe  this is the end of money  erea .

So , will we soon dispense with money and replace it with digital currencies?
That's possible but I doubt it that cash will be gone.

And that is because not every citizen will be fond of using digital currencies and that's why the existence of cash is going to stay. It is one of the considerations of the government as not all have adopted such technologies.

Are they going to be left behind with that and won't be able to use digital currencies while enforcing the use of it? I don't think so, that's why there will be co-existence for this.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 20, 2024, 11:56:04 PM
Gone are the days when everyone is waiting for the all star. As if it's more than the finals of the NBA. Too many exhibitions we see and players are taking it seriously.

Now, it's not the same anymore. Too many players take it as something just for the fun of the fans and not with the players as if they're forced to be there.

The pride, glory and honor of being part of it is what most of the players have been wanting just to be part of it. But now, those that haven't selected to be part of it might just have some thoughts that they're glad they were not part of it.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you quit gambling for a friend? on: February 20, 2024, 11:20:39 PM
I am an independent person and I wouldn't let my friends meddle with my decision. If that friend of mine needs some help, I'll tell him to just quit and don't get into trouble by gambling ever again.

But that won't make me quit for him.

We should be accountable for every action that we do as we're all grown ups.
818  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the benefit of taking hard drugs on: February 20, 2024, 10:58:25 PM
If you don't love yourself and want to be gone asap, you're going to take hard drugs. You see those that are swarming in the streets like zombies?

They're victim of taking hard drugs, the ones that are too addictive and will destroy your inner sense and will lose yourself as if you're body relying to that drugs.

We don't want that to happen to us, using these recreational drugs have limits and if you don't take the example of others then out of your curiosity you'll be the one on those images swarming on the streets losing yourself.
819  Other / Off-topic / Re: 7 bloody mistakes some guys make with women on: February 20, 2024, 10:36:04 PM
Show them who you really are and they're going to love for who you are. It's no longer needed to be so magical having those fancy dates and romantic dinners. I mean that they're still good to have.

But don't show them the impression that you can bring them there at all times because most of them will think that every time you date her, you need to bring her back to that fancy restaurant.

Anyway, it is you that shall know how you should approach a woman and make her in love. We all have our own ways of dealing with it.
820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: February 20, 2024, 10:00:12 PM
I love your story, it's nice story. I have participated in some street games, some sports activity and some other recreational activities which through them I just got into gambling. There were so many games which I and my brothers and sisters usually play during our young age and we never took it as gambling, we never staked money to play those games but in today's developed world, most of those games have becoming betting games. My gambling journey started because of love I just had for games and activities that are puzzling and fun.
Those street games with some bets on the sides were like one of the best childhood that I ever had.

It's nothing unusual back then and there were no snowflakes by that time and everyone was just easy going. Unlike today, it's far from that reality in the past but we have to embrace this reality that kids shouldn't gamble.

Although in my experience, I was able to gamble when I was a minor and under the legal age but that's just was an easy going and nothing serious in life back then.

Oh I miss those days.
