801  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM (118 days left) on: January 29, 2020, 02:18:59 PM
All of my friends group discussions are ending with this statement now. Not the time to sell Bitcoin, accumulation time going on. I have sold some of my alts recently and converted them to btc as I wanted to hold more in terms of BTC. My opinion is that the rally will start after the halving so still time is there.
Investors will be the accumulating for the past few years when the market went down and this time around i have different thoughts about the rally, i am expecting the market to reach the all time high valuation and i am not expecting a mad rally like we saw last time but even if we see a rally i am not expecting soon after the halving.
802  Economy / Economics / Re: How regulation affects the crypto price on: January 27, 2020, 08:54:31 AM
indeed with the existence of such regulation can get direct trust from the local government that accepts the use of cryptocurrency and it will make many people start using cryptocurrency to make transactions using cryptocurrency and will have a direct impact on price movements which will increase as more and more people use it.
The government has to come up with the regulation and if that happens it might impact the market in the short period but in the long term we will have regulation and you have to deal with it in the future and in the next few years we will have a regulated market.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 27, 2020, 07:13:38 AM
This thread has been running for a long time now, and there is no indication that the fight will push through at all, Dana White already made an announcement that it's going to be another MMA fight for Connor again, Dana White wants to get Connor in top standing in the MMA and a fight with Pacquiao will not do him good.
I am sure Dana White and Conor McGregor will not rush this time, he fought Floyd Mayweather in a few months notice and that too making his debut in boxing and i am not sure whether he prepared well nor he went to his old boxing club for that fight now he is back with his old boxing club where he learned boxing and he needs to prepare specifically for the fighter and rather than a spectacle he wants to win and this will take some time.
804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people debate so much about BTC value? on: January 27, 2020, 06:30:39 AM
Because we live in a world where cryptocurrencies are then converted into ordinary currencies, and paid by them.
The fact that 1 BTC = 1 BTC, no one argues with this. But if you get 1 BTC at a cost of $ 5,000 and 1 BTC at a cost of $ 50,000, for withdrawal to your card, then the difference is enormous.
The problem i see with million dollar valuation in bitcoin is the same factor, how big the casual investor will invest in it and even if we think that you do not need to purchase the entire coin then comes the problem with volatility, right now everyone view the market as a speculative coin and as long as the market attracts the investors we will discuss about the valuation.
805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 27, 2020, 04:50:31 AM
My guess is that everything will be over by the second session of play, with South Africa making a total of somewhere around 150-180.
To expect anything other than a modest second innings score will be crazy, they can take rest and then think about how to reform the team spirit and get confidence back to their players and bring back players who are in form during the domestic season like Kyle Abbott and they have an impressive young fast bowler in Gerald Coetzee which i saw in U19 matches and he could be the future prospect and if Wiaan Mulder could take care of his fitness issues he could be a great all rounder for them.
806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 27, 2020, 03:37:35 AM
The problem with New Zealand is that they are having a limited player pool, and therefore they are not able to replace the injured players.
This might be the problem they are facing but they should use this opportunity to find new players and give them the opportunity to perform, in the first match the absence of Boult might be the case as he has the ability to swing the ball and pick early wickets but in the second T20 the batting team collapsed, will see how New Zealand will respond in the third T20 as it is a decider and if they fail that then the series is over.
807  Economy / Economics / Re: Say Goodbye to Banking as We Know It on: January 26, 2020, 04:39:39 PM
Banks aren't good! therefore cryptocurrency was created, but there are only a few that have good value, indeed decentralization is a good system for the future, but for now if the BANK ends, the world will be shaken
With your theory how you will be purchasing bitcoin, barter system or you will be using the banking system and fiat currency to purchase the coins, if not how you are going to invest in bitcoin to begin, i do not understand from where you get these ideas that banking sector will be replaced with the introduction of virtual currencies Roll Eyes.
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 26, 2020, 03:46:39 PM
Wrong, Manny Pacquiao is not anymore under Bob Arum promotion, he has his own promotion so his camp will only decide if they will accept this challenge.
I was not aware of that, i was still thinking that Bob Arum is still the promoter and if that is the case then the only person who needs to approve the fight is Dana White and if Conor McGregor is really interested to fight Manny Pacquiao then i am sure he will allow that to happen as Dana White is also a boxing promoter and he will be looking for big fights to make the official announcement.
809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 26, 2020, 03:19:31 PM
Nothing can stop from England winning this test match. They are already 300 runs ahead with 8 wickets remaining.  I think the target should be to get a lead of 450-500 runs and then bowl out South Africa quickly. Still full 2 days and one session left in the game play.
With the terrible form the South African batsman are they do not need to put 417 runs on the board, it is time that they declare the innings and start hunting them down if they want to have some rest, i doubt South Africa will be scoring 250 runs in the seconds innings let alone scoring or defending the next two days and i am not sure why the England captain is extending the match like this.
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 26, 2020, 12:23:13 PM
Everything has a price, we are talking of a big amount of money here and I don't think Manny's camp would not think twice before making a decision.
Regarding your statement, do you have an article you can share that Manny's camp won't allow this to happen?
Everyone has their opinion regarding this match up but if both the promoters of these respective fighters want to earn the money then this fight will happen. It is true that Bob Arum the promoter of Manny Pacquiao wants another fighter Terence Crawford to face Conor McGregor and we all know that Arum will not make fights what the fans wanted and he is not a good promoter in my opinion even though he is a boxing promoter for decades.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 26, 2020, 11:05:01 AM
Now you want to teach me the meaning of quick intervals. If you do not want to reply don't and stop shaming others. Individuals like you have degraded the forum by finger pointing others when they are left with nothing to reply.
What is happening here   Roll Eyes.

The key for today's win was India excellent bowling and fielding. The converted a good batting pitch to bowling heaven. Sir Jadeja at his best 2/18 in a batting pitch is brilliant. Dube on the other side played his part. Well played Indian team.
I thought it was a batting pitch but this wicket was difficult to bat on as the wicket was gripping and turning and not coming on to the bat and so is the reason the New Zealand batsman were unable to capitalize on the start they got when India started mixing up deliveries. Another comfortable win for India and i am not expecting any changes in the team in this series .
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk finally weighs in on Bitcoin in a longer than usual commentary on: January 25, 2020, 04:35:42 PM
So, when he gives his opinion on Bitcoin, you can take it more seriously than people like Warren Buffett or Mark Cuban.  Roll Eyes
This makes sense but Elon Musk really does like the innovation but he is not an advocate of bitcoin and we have heard him giving his opinion when he is asked about bitcoin and rather than keeping silent he just responds what he thinks.

Some of what he says makes sense, but the legal/illegal angle is just flawed. (Fiat is still used the most for illegal activities.)  Wink
Two wrongs will not make them right, fiat is controlled by the government and even if that can be used for illegal activities how about a decentralized coin that will help them make things different, we have the answer in bitcoin where every transaction is edged in history in the blockchain unlike fiat.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh tour of Pakistan 2020 on: January 25, 2020, 02:30:44 PM
You must have won the bet, if you had placed your Bet on Pakistan. With this the last match of this series has become useless of the series is already been decided with today's match.
Pakistan dominated the first two matches and i missed both the matches but looking at the scoreboard Pakistan dominated both the matches and the Bangladesh batsman are struggling with the absence of Shakib Al Hasan but good to see that Tamim Iqbal is back in the team and back in form.
Next time i hope Bangladesh could win the toss and put Pakistan to bat first and how Bangladesh is able to chase a total .
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 25, 2020, 01:29:11 PM
In my opinion, Dhoni's inclusion in the team will bring nothing good. Younger can do better.
I disagree completely and i am sure all these opinions will change after the IPL as i am betting on him to prove all the naysayers wrong. Age is against him but he is still the best Wicket Keeper batsman in the world in ODI and T20.

Dhoni was extremely slow during the last year's World Cup in England. So going by the same logic, he should be replaced with younger players such as Rishabh Pant or Ishan Kishan. I understand that a lot of his fans in India wants him to be included in the squad. But going by the current form, I have a feeling that there are younger players out there, who deserve a place more than Dhoni.
The young players are given more opportunity to perform and showcase what they are capable of when Dhoni decided to take an extended break and none showed any huge impact behind the wickets and the only good keeper i have seen is Wriddhiman Saha who is a really good wicket keeper and so is the reason he is in the Test team.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 24, 2020, 05:27:37 PM
Yes, Celebrities used Bitcoin i heard many times but i didn’t found any specific celebrities who adopt BTC. A lot of hollywood superstars using BTC and dollywood also. @Nargish Fakhri and @Shilpa Shety both of tweet in many time about btc. I didn’t see others any celebrity talking about cryptocurrency. Top rich Bollywood actor hold almost 300k$ worth of btc. I think all type of celebrities are using btc anonymously.
This is the first time i am hearing that Indian celebrities are holding bitcoin and promoting it are you sure they were promoting bitcoin or some token projects as they will do anything for money as advertisement Wink. If you have tweets or anything i would like to see as this is the first time i am hearing this and even Hollywood stars i have seen them promoting shit coins and not bitcoin.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 24, 2020, 04:45:26 PM
Guess, you are mixing T-20 and ODI squad. Prithvi is Dhawan's replacement for ODI not T-20 and Prithvi Shaw is not good for T-20 as he's competing for Opening slot with likes of Rohit-Rahul-Dhawan. In ODI he can get chance if KL Rahul comes at middle order as Batsman-WK.
I have not seen Prithvi Shaw play in the IPL, the only time i saw him play was when he was in the U19 World Cup Indian team but i have seen him perform in a Test match scoring a century against West Indies at a decent run rate. If he is selected for ODI then he will open the innings and KL Rahul will come in the middle order that will strengthen the middle order.
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 24, 2020, 12:36:41 PM
With KL Rahul coming as a n opener I do not think Shaw will get the chance to open. I think he will come after Virat as that where the Indian team is struggling. After Virat the batting oder is very shaky. There is a need for a stong and stable bats man after him.
In this match KL Rahul opened the innings and is Prithvi Shaw in the T20 scheme of things, i have not seen him play in a match but he is a talent for the future, they have 3 ODI and hopefully he will get a chance there and i expect Sanju Samson and Shaw getting some opportunity to prove their talents to perform in the international stage. In T20 today the middle order young players performed well than i expected and India does have the bench strength, they just need to give opportunities to these youngsters to showcase their talent.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies have won with court in India – for how long? on: January 24, 2020, 11:27:50 AM
Don't they already have regulations against bitcoins, pretty much dissuading people from using them? You think this ruling could relax rules? From what I know the exchanges in India (or what remains of them) all practice KYC and other proper bookkeeping so the excuse of it being used to launder money really don't have any basis.
Even before the regular exchanges were forced to shut down because the RBI restricted the banking sector to do business with the crypto exchanges they are complying with strict KYC and AML rules for every user. There is no excuse for indirectly shutting down the market but that does not deter crypto investors as there are other means to purchase the coins.

Still uncertain how this could develop but India is a potentially large market so it would be a big boost for cryptos if people there become free to buy and sell as they wish.
Even with all the restrictions people are still buying bitcoin without much hassle as the entire industry move to P2P based model and there is no regulation or restriction on that model. So basically nothing changed, they just need to move away from one exchange to another Cheesy.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 24, 2020, 10:07:08 AM
They are ruining all the trouble Kohli and Rahul took by giving away their wickets. Just 60 runs left but it's too difficult to get it with a RRR  of 9+ and 6 wickets left. Dube took too many risks early on in the game.
There is still a possibility for India to win from this stage as they have Jadeja and Shardul Thakur still to come who can hit the ball a long way and this is a pressure game with the wickets falling in quick succession but these players have more experience in T20 format as they are playing in the IPL and the expereince will help them in this match. India need 29 runs to win from 18 balls and it is total they can reach unless they loose a couple of wickets now.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2020, 02:52:06 PM
Maybe anything but the question is different - in what aspect should altcoin be better? Because there are coins that are faster in transaction speed but inferior in another. Bitcoin is like a foundation that lives a separate life from the rest of the cryptocurrency)
The idea of other coins having faster transaction is because they might not be having the same kind of volume, other than that i am not aware of any coin having a superior technology than bitcoin. If you know any coin having a much better solution for scaling other than increasing the blocks i would like to know about those as i have not come across anything like that.
