821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2p is the original Satoshi strategy for Bitcoin exchange on: July 23, 2022, 03:33:43 PM
Not your keys not your Bitcoin, and you don't have Bitcoin if your Bitcoins are on exchange wallets.
If you read through the Bitcoin white paper you will discover that Satoshi's statement on Bitcoin exchange is by p2p and did not mention anything like centralized exchanges, this is because Satoshi Nakamoto know the importance of holding your Bitcoin in your wallet, and not on the exchange, this is so because the Bitcoin on exchange is like your money in your bank account which involves third party involvement, as you all know Bitcoin original idea is to eliminate third party involvement in our financial dealing.
So for highly secure and privacy-consciousness use only p2p to exchange Bitcoin and hold your Bitcoin in your wallets.
It was meant to be p2p and decentralized and there are still people that uses the p2p method to trade their coins. But the problem is that people need to trust each other and it is not as convenient as using a centralized exchange for most people. You can still do p2p trading in centralized exchanges, but like you said, not your keys, not your coins. But then again, you have some sense of safety since most of the centralized p2p trading offers free escrow or some sort of protection if things go south.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Champions in this Bitcoin Winter on: July 23, 2022, 06:28:51 AM
The billboard seems to be a perfect investment for the trading platform. Billboards are visible to everyone. When someone who has never used bitcoin but has heard of bitcoin and then sees the billboard, the chances of that person to use that platform to buy bitcoin is very very high. It is going to be more users for them since the price of bitcoin is now low and is the best time for users to inter the market.

And about the "other champions" that you are talking about. They already were prepared for the crypto winter.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu's future on: July 23, 2022, 01:03:00 AM
According to my observations I think that this coin will grow but not really sure whether i should try to buy and hold some or try micro trading. I'm sure that there're lots of experienced traders who can give me an advice
Investing in meme coins are like gambling. There is a high chance you will make some quick good profit and then there is also a chance that you will lose everything. Most meme coins die with the hype. Rest are all made for scamming people. Shib is a decent meme coin that has active community and is being developed constantly. Better than those other meme coins. But don't invest everything you have in SHIB. Just a little to try your luck. Put rest of your money in some better coins!
824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Forex trading a good way of making money ? on: July 23, 2022, 12:51:47 AM
-snip-
So my plan could be to spend a few weeks learning to trade the Forex markets and see whether that works or not.
-snip-
Here is the problem. You can't decide if it will work or not by spending "only few weeks of learning" to trade the forex market. If you make loss your first few tries, are you going to come to a conclusion that forex trading isn't for you and doesn't "work"? If you make quick profit in first few days, it doesn't mean that you will be making the same profit everyday.

Anyway, why talk about forex? If you are trading, then it doesn't matter if it is a bear market or a bull market, you can still make profit if you are doing it right. Take advantage of this volatility.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 22, 2022, 06:01:12 AM
It is more like because they don't know how bitcoin works. So instead of learning what blockchains are and how it works, their only solution is to put a complete ban on them. Funny right? What is more funny is that the list of the countries that put a direct ban on usage of bitcoins are the once that are either under developed or highly corrupted.

The people of those country should come forward and preach what bitcoin is to others and force their government to legalize it!
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: July 22, 2022, 04:35:49 AM
Thanks for your advice, at this point, I am on a mission. Hope vs reality Smiley

Trading is a game of whales that has been going on for almost a decade and people will always fall for it.
But if we believe the noise is trading then we can easily be fooled.
We need to let go of the negativity.

Not sure what you mean by "game of whales". Trading isn't any game of whales or anything. Nobody "falls" for trading. They choose to trade. Only those who thinks that trading is "easy" and can help you get rich, are the fools. They don't realize that you can only lose when trading.
But if we believe the noise is trading then we can easily be fooled.
No one is fooling anyone. People are just dumb enough to not want to do they own research before starting to do anything.
Nobody knows! There could be a series of ups and downs before the market fully revolves. Experts say that this crypto winter will last for at least 2 years. Guess we have to wait to find that out.
Those self proclaimed experts claims are nothing but BS. They randomly guess stuffs and feeds people with words.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 22, 2022, 04:20:29 AM
It shouldn't be banned because even if they ban it, people are still going to gamble, but this time illegally. This puts a lot of risks to both the players and the operators. Crime will rise. People will put themselves in danger to gamble. Money laundering will increase more than usual and the illegal casinos will have full power over the players. The casino can do whatever they want and no one can stop them. Keep it legal, let the government tax them a lot. Win-win situation for everyone here.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 22, 2022, 04:12:02 AM
Everything starts with "moderation" and ends up being excess.

Makes you Happier - this is no doubt a known effect of gambling and is backed by studies.  It was said that the happiness of individuals rose when they are engaged in gambling activities.

Won't be happy if they keep losing even if they are playing moderately. And if they keep on winning, sure they will be happy and then will go seeking "more" happiness through gambling that will end up being a disaster.

Stress reduction - stress factor is one of the major reason why many people become depressed and possible mental degradation and retardation.  Gambling as an entertainment help to minimize this stress.  Gambling in moderation is also known for its stress-relieving effect.
Worst way to relief stress. Imagine you are on a winning streak and you have a feeling that you are going to lose the next bet. That would be very stressful. Place a huge bet and be anxious the rest of the time.
Don't even need to discuss about the rest of the point. There are several places were people can find comfort. Again, there are other places where people can socialize. To be honest, I have seen people being more busy in gambling than socializing with people (true in most cases when it comes to online gambling).
829  Economy / Gambling / Re: hello Players!! on: July 21, 2022, 03:58:38 AM
You need to redesign the whole page. it is all text and text and text and text. Too much wordy. Everything seems very "static". Maybe add animations to make the casino more attractive? I doubt anyone would want to play in this casino. People will think it is a scam because you didn't put enough effort to run a casino (not saying it is a scam, but it does look scammy). And the placement of the elements should be reconsidered. Like look at the balance. Keep it somewhere at the top. Not at the middle of the game.
830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right time to invest on: July 21, 2022, 02:25:14 AM
As a newbie one finds it difficult to know the right time to invest. I really want to know if I can actually invest into Bitcoin at this moment.
Do you have some money lying around that you don't need anytime soon? You got extra cash that you don't know where to spend? Do you have spending habit on unnecessary things? Then yeah, now is the perfect time for you to invest in bitcoin. Invest those extra money you have or cut down your habit of unnecessary spending and use it on bitcoin. As long as you have money to invest, it is the right time for you. Don't wait for the price to fall or rise. You will end up missing opportunities.
831  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 20, 2022, 12:00:43 AM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.
The possibility is 0 to 100% i guess? You are asking a question that can't be answered. The crypto market is very volatile and no one knows what is going to happen next to the price.
You said that you accurate predicted the price of bitcoin and when it will reach the all time high. Did you just randomly guess it and got lucky? Or was your guess based on some facts? If it is the later, then why not "predict" what the price of bitcoin will be by the end of the year?
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we gradually approaching towards the end of Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2022, 11:21:55 PM
You know it is time to invest as much as you can, when you see people start saying that it is the end of bitcoin. You would be super rich by now. Have you seen how many times "those media and experts" said bitcoin is going to die "soon" when the price crashes?
Well, look at the price now. It is no longer below $18,000 (when you made the post). If you had invested when you created this thread, you would have made some nice sweet profits by now!
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 19, 2022, 10:21:23 PM
YOu can't be comparing gold and bitcoin. They both are entirely two different things. But, yeah, bitcoin is some sort of "digital gold" (or diamond like the article says. But why diamond? diamonds aren't scarce at all). But investing in Gold is more safe than that of investing in bitcoin. It is less volatile and less risky. But if you think about long term holding, then Bitcoin is what I would favor. In the long run, bitcoin would be giving us more profit than gold.
834  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chasing a x330,000 on: July 16, 2022, 03:53:23 AM
-snip-
So, what do you think, will i hit that multiplier in 1M Bets?

You did the math, so you know better if you will hit that multiplier in that 1M bet or not. It's is gambling, so you might hit it earlier or maybe later like after 2M bets. Placing more bets won't increase your chance of winning more. and I doubt changing the seed matters at all. In the long run, the results are always the same.

You should be asking, is it worth hitting that multiplier after 1M bets?
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 16, 2022, 03:46:48 AM
Instead of just linking a video it is better to state or at least tell us a little what the video is about. It looks like you are talking about match manipulation and match fixing. It has been happening for years. Nothing new. It does damage the reputation of sports gambling and the entire sports, but it has almost become a normal thing, I guess? The one you showed was extreme. Usually match fixing are done discretely and no one knows about it.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 16, 2022, 03:30:04 AM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now? Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
Of course it is a bad idea. I bet that someone who recommended you to invest in new altcoins was probably shilling for some shitcoins that he has invested in. Almost 99% of the new altcoins are shitcoins that are some clone of the currently existing altcoins. They are usually created for pumping/dumping and to scam people.

Better to invest in old altcoins that are well established than to invest in some random altcoins that might die the next day.
837  Economy / Economics / Re: The current crypto bear could end the market. on: July 16, 2022, 03:03:20 AM
You mean the current bear is the end of the market or the bear market is about to end soon? Either way, no one can for sure say that they bear marketing is coming to an end. If you think it is coming to an end, then I am sure you invested a lot of money, I mean all your money in crypto currencies, right? But no, you didn't. Because you aren't also sure that the bear market is about to come to an end or no.

And if you mean this bear market is going to end everything, then please go around and see how many times people claimed that it was the end of crypto currencies every time there was a bear market.
838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret buying before the dip on: July 16, 2022, 02:39:52 AM
I wouldn't regret if i bought before the dip. I was able to buy, i bought. That's it. Even if the price drops further, I wouldn't regret, because I would still be holding the same number of coins. In fact no one should regret.  As long as they haven't sold anything, they aren't losing anything. Only those who sell should be the one regretting.

So those who bought before the dip, instead of regretting, invest more to maximize your profit!
839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: July 16, 2022, 02:24:58 AM
Can I have a precise and constructive answer on whether trading is really worth spending time on? My brother wants to do this job for a living, and I'm just curious if it's a dignified, worth-spending occupation. I don't know where to ask, I don't understand technical analysis; when he explains it to me I feel it's some sort of gambling strategy.

I've used to read experts' discussions, papers, books and the like, but I find no such stuff on trading. It's a very vague term anyway. Are there really people who just "buy low and sell high", making a living by just doing that? I can't comprehend how can a person seriously make a living by something that looks complete gambling, instead of providing goods, services, work etc.
I doubt you can do this "job" for a living. Trading is risky. There is not guarantee that you will be making profit every day or month. There might be months where you lose money. You won't be able to pay your bills if you lose money, will you?
Get a job that will pay you to help pay your bills and trade coins as a side hustle.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT drops profitable? on: July 15, 2022, 03:10:00 AM
I have been seeing a lot of NFT drops on Twitter and I don't see that trend talked about on this forum. A lot of people are investing in and flipping NFTs instead of trading cryptos like we are. Have any of you had luck flipping NFTs or claiming NFT drops? Are the NFTs you collect art based only or also utility based NFTs like the NFT drop from MAXX Finance? Although it can be harder to sell NFTs in some cases (because there is no liquidity), the plus side is that you don't have to worry about which exchange you can sell your airdrop on (as is the case with token drops), you just sell them on major NFT marketplaces like OpenSea.
Those drops are not worth it. You are receiving it for free. Like you there are hundreds of people that will be receiving those NFTs for free. So unless you are very lucky, there is a high chance that your NFT will worth nothing unless some sort of random hype has been created.

-snip-
think this must be profitable for some people as you see NFT punks and apes trading for millions of dollars. What am I missing here and how do I get in on this trend?
I doubt NFT punks and those ape NFT's were dropped or given away for free. As far as I remember, you had to mint them for a fee. I doubt they would have worth the same if they were given away for free.
