I have received two of those same letters for films that I'm pretty damned sure I never downloaded. I did raise the issue that I might have to refer their inquiry to my lawyer for failing to protect the service that I am buying from them from the assault of viruses and hackers. I demanded an apology letter and a statement that my name was clear, and proof that they forwarded the same to the movie studio.

Never heard from them again, so I demanded a free month of service for the poor customer service after their error, which I got.

So there.
You are my new hero. lol

If someone would make an auto handgun that has three barrels...

Getting close...

Yes it is real, and ridiculous.
8343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: George Zimmerman arrested for 2nd degree murder for killing Trayvon Martin on: June 13, 2012, 08:25:28 PM
Doesn't Trayvon get the benefit of the doubt too? he has no history committing violent crimes

He certainly should, but what facts are in dispute? All the claims I have heard in his defense have been made by people who weren't there.  Crap like "the police video proves he was not injured", or "Treyvon was heard pleading for his life on the audio". Now we know it was GZ begging for help and that the police video clearly shows his injuries. And remember the "raciest remark". Sounded something like "fgeoeoiaohe owdiupoar".

I use the term "private". Anonymous sounds like you have something to hide, private sounds like you have the right to hide something.

It is shocking to me that people who have not followed this case at all think they have enough information to come to an informed conclusion.

It's shocking to me how easily people like you jump to conclusions.  (He had a lighter on him, so he must have just taken drugs!)  Luckily, I base my conclusions on facts alone.
The autopsy showed he had used drugs. And he was suspended from school for drugs. That is not why he was shot though. He was shot for attempting to murder someone. Yes. Pounding someones head against the pavement is attempted murder.
If anyone tried to do that to me they would be dead in seconds. If you disagree, then what should one do while having your head smashed in?

I wonder about this also. For the reasons the OP mentioned, it seems a natural fit.

I see the merit in the strategy you outlined. I just feel like the top of the GOP is nothing more than a group dedicated to transforming millionaires into billionaires at all our expense. Some of their contributers would enslave children in crack factories if they could get away with it. They are not libertarians. Look what happened when the bankers lost their money in 08. The GOP turned into communists and gave out my tax money. Is that the free market?

Russia and China can say what they want. Assad must go! If the Free Syrian Army starts taking BTC, I'm in. If they want to learn how to do an IED the right way, I'm in.
If my rusty Arabic is correct, Assad means lion. That would be apt for a ruler who eats his own children.

I like how a thieving industry like entertainment gets to call a 13yr. old listening to music with friends a "pirate".   Roll Eyes
I have receive several letters from my ISP calling me a pirate. Seems that someone used my wifi connection to DL a few games. I was insulted to be accused without any evidence it was me. I called to yell a bit and they demanded my log files.
When I went to my router to investigate I accidentally deleted the log files, oops, silly me. Then I must have messed up my router setting to allow anyone on one of my networks anonymously.  I guess I'll never get the hang of these computer things.    Kiss

@MoonShadow Why not drop those fools in the republican party. You know they are just not that into you libertarians. They are playing the tea party the way they used to play the Christian right.  Promising things they have no intention to deliver while stealing your tax money for their business cronies.
They are never going to let someone like Ron Paul have a voice.  They just want you to vote republican and STFU. If the libertarians and the liberals joined forces we would have a viable third party that could shake things up. I might vote for such a party, but I would never vote republican.

http://www.kansascity.com/2012/06/12/3655268/zimmermans-wife-charged-with-perjury.html

So Zimmerman lied under oath
His wife lied under oath

Uh .... That's a huge mistake, now all of their statements can be scrutinized.

George Zimmerman "does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process," Lester wrote.'

Well looks like the judge doesn't like Zimmerman already, nor we should believe anything that liar says.

You don't have to believe him.  The way the law works, the State has to make a case that is believable beyond all reasonable doubt.  Even if the defendant has a track record of similiar crimes, he still gets the benefit of the doubt.  In this case, it looks as if Zimmerman got greedy and lied so he could keep the money.  He may well go to jail for that.  But he still gets the benefit of the doubt on the Trayvon shooting.
Right, this is a different issue. It has nothing to do with lawfully shooting someone who is attempting to kill you.

I was bummed this weekend when I bought some at $5.58 only to watch it drop to 5.4xx. Looks like I have no reason to be sad now.

I think you missed the part where he said the closest bitinstant deposit place was at a 45 min. drive from him lol
Oops, I did miss that.  Embarrassed  Although it still may be the quickest option.
8356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie from US, confused how to buy bitcoins on: June 12, 2012, 02:13:37 PM
Step 1. Set up Mt.Gox account

Step 2. Go to bit instant and send coins to your name at Mt.Gox

Step 3. Bring your payment slip to one of the 700k banks, stores, etc. and pay.

By the time you get home your Mt.Gox account will be funded.

Damn bro. If i ever need a cleaner, I'll know where to go.
My dad was in the FBI and they would be horrified to find out that my brother and I poured over the FBI magazines that came each month. We would learn how to make zip guns, disguise our fingerprints, or commit mail fraud. What fun! Grin
8359  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: June 10, 2012, 01:48:22 PM

Only murders kill someone with a .22, or perhaps assassins.
Why is that?
It would have to be multiple close shots to the head. You would have to tottaly surprise the target or have them tied up. These are offensive shots, where the shooter chooses the conditions. In a defensive scenario one is likely shooting center mass  at an aware and mobile target.

If you are trying to knock down an armed bad guy from across the room a .22 is a poor choice. If you are trying to shoot someone who trusts you in the back in of the head from 4" away, a silenced .22 with sub-sonic rounds is appropriate.

In general when defending yourself have more than your enemy. More knock down power, range, bullets, and rate of fire. When assassinating someone use the minimum.
