I'm sorry I can't be of any assistance. My wallet is on my Core and all of my transactions are complete.
Good luck with it!

I also have my own wallet locally, but if I check on blockchain.info it shows two unconfirmed transactions.

On blockexplorer.com the same transactions look fine and are confirmed.

In my wallet they look fine.
863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: December 05, 2016, 02:58:05 PM
Hi all, my first post here, so plz steer me in the right direction if this has already been asked.
I'm a veteran in IT/MIS, but a relative noob to coin mining... About to order my first mining rig this coming week - the R4.

I'd hold off buying any power supply until you can actually buy a R4. They are out of stock.

I thought he had one.

Really? Grin

Can you afford to wait a minimum of 12months to make any profit? That's the question you need to ask.

Well I will jump back to 45th.

Follow up my order is now marked expired due to a 228 minute wait for a confirm.
Hopefully they will fix this soon.

Anyone else this has happened to just make sure you email them.

Got my 8 units of A7 Grin

Will fire 6 units later since I am waiting for Optimisers Boards.

I have a question, the controller does not include a power cable?? Because mine did not come with it Huh

Which is it?
I presume you mean the RPi but what version?
(I have a collection of ... 6 ... original RPi at home so I use them)

Don't RPi have microusb ports so use mobile phone chargers?
868  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to avoid VAT when buying inside EU ? on: December 03, 2016, 01:09:26 AM
Hi,

Sorry if this isn't the right board, couldn't quite decide where to put it.

I'm interested in buying the R4 (new batch tomorrow 07:00GMT) but I'm wondering if there is a way to not pay 20% VAT + import taxes ?

Cheers,
Q.

There are no import taxes, just VAT and maybe a handling charge from the carrier.

As for not paying the VAT, thats down to luck.

Or host it outside the EU in the US/China/Canada etc.
869  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pros and Cons of Starting Bitcoin Mining Farm, No More Child’s Play on: December 03, 2016, 01:04:40 AM
By now you understand everything about what Bitcoin is and how it works, you’ve been buying and selling it vigorously, and every time you discover a place accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment you feel like it’s Christmas. You know for sure what mining means, and if you have had a chance to mine Bitcoin back in the day, you have probably managed to make a profit out of it.

I just saw this article and I remember seeing some users in this section thinking about getting involved in mining projects (opening a mining farm) and I thought I should share it with you guys : https://cointelegraph.com/news/pros-and-cons-of-starting-bitcoin-mining-farm-no-more-childs-play

Thats not an article, its a paid for advertising scam.

872  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to mine bitcoins using webhosting? on: November 28, 2016, 06:34:24 PM
I am curious is there any way to mine bitcoins with my hosting? I have unlimited bandwidth and 50GB Accelerated Disk Space.

Nope, you need dedicated ASIC hardware to mine bitcoins, CPU's don't have enough performance, even GPU's don't. (Although you can mine ALT-coins) with GPU's and convert them to bitcoin. But that won't help you with mining using a webhost.
873  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 22, 2016, 01:35:32 PM
I have 7x s9, they were working perfectly, avg temps are 80-87, about a week ago one of them just stopped hashing and after unplugging from power and plugging in again it started mining again with no issues, today three of them did the same.
Is there any chance to see the logs why they turned off ?
anyone ?

Instead of powercycling them did you try just restarting them from the GUI?

As aarons6 said the logs are probably toast after a reboot, so best bet is to investigate while the machine is on.

So I suppose there is no other way to know why they keep shutting down. I'm sure that it isn't temp issue. What if internet drops and comes back after one hour ? Is there a chance that some miners can reconnect and others not ? I'm getting internet from quite far distance via 5GHz and there is a chance of network drop downs, is it possible ?

Also they can take quite a while to come back online, like 5-10mins some of them even longer, I wonder how long did you wait before power-cycling them?
874  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30+PH] Kano CKPool kano.is 0.9% PPLNS US,DE,SG,JP,NL on: November 20, 2016, 10:28:22 PM
quick question from a newbie
what happens if my machines find a block?
I am part of the pool stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333
are they rewarded?

Not rewarded more than anyone else on the pool. You don't get an "extra" reward for finding a block.
875  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 17, 2016, 02:59:56 PM
Are the issues you guys have been seeing with the S9 related only to certain batches?  Trying to decide if it is worth the risk to buy one.  Thoughts from S9 owners?

its not so much related to certain batches. its more related to how alot of people chose to run their miner which was outside in the heat of summer and or in a tiny room at over 90 degrees room temp lol. u

I don't think this is true at all. My boards failed in a datacenter and most of the other people who reported failures are reputable miners using no different setups than they did for their S7 or A6 miners.

Its happened in most of the batches up till the most recent ones so far, failures of entire boards, needing replacement or fixing by the manufacturer or their agents (bitmainwarranty). USually it happens within the first few weeks of ownership, or if you are really unlucky on day 91 (1 day outside warranty) Smiley

Although off topic, I will make comment about Avalon vs Bitmain since there is a bit of it going on.

Firstly, there really is no one other than these 2 companies out there.
Pity about that, since more products mean more competition, but that's the way it is at the moment.

The reality of it all will be to see how the A7s perform vs the S9s and what changes over the next 6 months for both companies.
I don't expect Bitmain to change. Avalon has already changed due to being bought by a large company and we'll see shortly how that has affected them.

Bitmain has clearly abused their power as the top honcho in producing a product that is not worthy of it's price due to reliability and support problems - and expected lifetime.

The Avalon A6 was a solidly built mining device and hopefully the A7 will be as good. We will see.
The only real issue I know of with the A6: is if you run it in a too hot environment - however, that's really not something that anyone should consider unexpected with mining hardware (or any computer hardware)

Hopefully Avalon will be good dealing with their customers with the A7s.
The Bitmain stories in here dealing with S9s have certainly not been in any way a positive comment about Bitmain.

If you only look at $ vs THs then you have clearly never mined before in your life, and you're about to get a rude shock if you buy mining hardware from anyone.
However, mining is not "Buy device, plug it in, forget it" - that really is ignoring reality.
In Bitmain's S9s case we've got plenty of people pointing out that is far from true, problems with them, problem dealing with Bitmain, and a clearly stated short expected lifetime from Bitmain - 3 months warranty.

We'll see what Avalon's A7s are like.

OK that's about as objective as I can be Cheesy

I agree with everything you have said, and like many here have mined with just about every major players hardware in the past, including the A6, which was reliable if not a little noisy. I've had my own problems with an S9, however I'd like to point out that maybe, the first sign of what you say about Avalon being bought by a large company is already playing out...

AvalonMiner 721 includes a 90-day warranty, starting from the date goods are received. Canaan guarantees a 90 days warranty from the first date you receive the goods. We promise to replace defective or faulty parts with new parts, but mining earnings will not be compensated. Buyers pay inbound shipping and we will pay the return shipping. Please note that we are not responsible for any loss caused by customs delays, losses or charges.

What is the difference between antminer S9 and between antminer S9+

One is real (S9) and one is bullshit (S9+)?

Do I win a prize Mr Scammer?
878  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 10, 2016, 02:42:13 PM
The S9 has been sold out for a while, any news on new batches?

Its only been sold out for 2 days. They released a new batch 2 days ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1493601.msg16810866#msg16810866 and they sold out in a couple of hours.
879  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: November 10, 2016, 11:05:15 AM
Both my batch 18's look like they might have a dead board in them after just 8 days use.   Sad

Need to check when I get home
What pool?

Kano
Kano is nice and smooth, should be good.
You may be able to send the dead board to Denver and they may fix it for $175+$25 shipping.
One of mine just arrived there now. You need a ticket at bitmainwarrany.com

Lol yes I know I've been mining there since a few months after it started.

They aren't dead just acting wierd. bitmainwarranty is an option, depends what costs more, the last one I sent back to China worked out ok.

Reboot seemed to sort them out. Back to 11TH
880  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: IT DRP for your mining rig on: November 09, 2016, 10:14:29 PM
no, because the margins are already tight enough especially if its a new setup and you're still trying to reach ROI.
when hardware is pushed, the best you can do is be reasonable with what you're expecting for output; and monitor all equipment.

mining equipment isn't life threatening if it fails, it doesnt need a disaster recovery plan.

What about the big mining rigs that generate alot of profit and could cause the loss of investors if being destroyed? I understand that your home mining rig does not need an IT DRP, but there are companies that run mining rigs as business. Critical processes often run from these rigs like cloud mining.

There isn't enough profit in mining to have hot-standby equipment, redundant power, offsite backup datacenters or even UPS's

What you need is cheap-as-close-to-zero electricity and lots of cool air, the only redundancy you may get is redundant internet connection and maybe, if you can get it for free, redundant power.
