861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most frustrating thing about crypto on: October 19, 2018, 09:18:57 AM
And that is exchanges who are keeping coins/tokens hostile for a long period of time. When I deposit or withdrawal from an exchange often times it just keeps it in pending status. Now I'm waiting for an idex deposit, 4 hours passed. My worst case was a withdrawal at cryptopia which took 30 days.

Crypto is not ready to be adopted by the masses. Lots of suicides would be the result...
How easy it is to manipulate it. If you have couple billion dollars and you want to play with the price of bitcoin it would be too easy for you to manage to get it done.

If you want to create a new ICO and get a lot of funds than you can just hire the best tech people and best marketing people with graphic designers and give out facebook ads, google ads, even twitter ads and get the famous bitcoin/crypto people to talk about how great you are and than pay the news websites to talk about your coin and even pay the mainstream media to talk about your futuristic amazing new ICO and than you will get hundreds of millions of dollars from funding and recover that loss because all of that money is yours anyway. This is for just getting free funding, think how easy it must be to trade.
862  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening with cryptocurrency ?? on: October 18, 2018, 02:41:09 AM
The good part about bitcoin going up and the altcoins going down is that the price of altcoins in dollar value doesn't devalue that much even tho the bitcoin price going down and whatever happens in the end the price of those crypto currencies goes back to what it was on bitcoin price which means the dollar value goes back up as well.

Hence, if you wait for a bitcoin price increase and watch the altcoins going down you can purchase one of the ones you like and than you can purchase that altcoin and watch it go back to its bitcoin value once again and also increase highly on the dollar value since bitcoin worth more dollar till then. Of course, the market can drop insanely after that and the price of bitcoin can drop as well which means it won't work but if the price doesn't drop that insanely than you can profit easily and it doesn't even take that long.
863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market manipulation on: October 18, 2018, 01:57:42 AM
I do not think it is manipulated that much anymore. The reason why I say that is because the price was going above $7.2k levels (once hit $8k and another time hit $7.7k) and came back down to $6.4k levels multiple times during this summer whereas right now even when someone bought like 500 million dollar bitcoin with his usdt and there was a tether crisis and all that the price jumped like 3-5% at max and not much more.

This tells me the manipulation is getting lesser and lesser everyday for some reason because if there was manipulation in the market when that happened manipulators would have taken advantage of that and bought as much as they can and increase the price and than dump it at above 7.2k levels again. Since, they didn't do it and they haven't done that for couple months now I am thinking the manipulation is getting lesser and lesser.
864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good day for arbitraging on: October 17, 2018, 08:00:36 PM
I believe that arbitrage is relevant at any time, in any market, just during the overall growth it is not as profitable as trading

About profitable or not, it depends on what we arbitrage. Because sometime every arbitrage activity only happen with big amount of spread in market. But before we do that, we must think a lot about risk to do it. Even bitcoin price on every market have far different, people who know it must be already arbitrage it.
Arbitrage is something that has been ongoing for years and we have seen it even in every other market outside cryptocurrency. What is just important is to always look for those big spreads and take advantage of them, even though it can be risky at times, and it makes sense if you are at least doing with some good amount of funds. One way or the other, across board, there would always get to be some little bit of differences in price of markets, but it is still a lot risky considering how volatile the market can be and you really want to be sure you are not making the wrong decision at every single time. Now bots are even popping up daily to help with a lot of that.
865  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can see greens! on: October 17, 2018, 11:24:58 AM
As of this moment when I tried to look at the performance of bitcoin in the market I found out that almost every crypto is on green. Does this manifest the start of a bullrun for bitcoin's value? Will this greens remain strong in the coming weeks or until the end of the year? Share me your thoughts on this!
Not by a long shot. This is just another recovery in my opinion and then follow with another dips because trading bot will make another run if traders chooses to do so. So don't get excited for any break out run because its not a good indication of a bull run. Unless we hear some positive news, by then again we have a lot of great news lately but we haven't seen any bulls in the horizon.
There is still a chance the general market would recover before the end of the year, and possibly with the way things are going now actually, I would not doubt it.

However, how things would really play out is only going to be known with time and for what it is worth, I am actually a bit optimistic and not because of the USDT palaver that occurred recently, but the fact that the market keeps testing the upper line of the triangle over and over again, and the more resistances are being tested, the easier it gets to break it eventually and in this case, I am referring to bitcoin which the movement actually controls most of the coins in the market.
866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitfinex - new page: "Fiat on Bitfinex" on: October 17, 2018, 04:20:12 AM
Everyone is really just trying to get away from tether which is amazing news, I have always defended the idea that we do not need tether at all and we could just simply use USD instead of USDT, there was literally no reason to use a new stable coin or whatever the tether was to actually trade with dollar, why not just use dollar itself when we can.

I am extremely happy that the world has come to what I have been saying for months and now we are seeing the world changing towards more "decentralized" ways than a token that was at the monopoly of whoever we do not even know. There was a lot of times when tether was just purely bought by millions that made no sense or there was tethers printed out of nothing that bought up a lot of coins to pump the prices without a reason behind it. I am really glad we are getting away from it.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: October 16, 2018, 01:58:57 PM
These predictions were written a few months ago. I am sure that the author has already corrected his vision of the Ethereum price by the end of this year. The price drop to $200 is a fall of over 80%, so we can assume that all who have lost their hope in ETH have cleaned up their wallets. November and December are the favorite months of price increases, so we can expect (at least temporarily) to reverse the market trend. $2,500 is unachievable, but I think that $500 - $800 is a very real goal.
I am pretty certain he must have even forgotten he wrote something like this judging from the way the market has been lately. People always want to believe whatever they feel will make them better and not understand that no one writes the destiny of a market let alone, know what becomes of a market at any point in time and until they really get to realize that, before they would probably start listening to themselves when they tend to talk or write things like this in a public forum.

Ethereum may make a move just like any other altcoin, but we most definitely will get to see the move anyway when it starts, so I wonder why people are so much in a haste to predict what the future holds.
868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you tired of centralized cryptocurrency trading platforms? on: October 16, 2018, 01:04:23 PM
Any centralized exchange makes sense only when there is a third party that guarantees the safety of the work. And which all participants unconditionally trust. But the market is pretty wild right now. And giving your money to a centralized stock exchange is simply a work of trust, without guarantees. For those who understand, this is unacceptable. My choice is decentralized exchanges.
A lot of exchanges right now are actually beginning to take safety standards and protocols seriously and trying as much as possible from their own end try as much as possible to stay secured which is also one of the reasons why a whole lot of them always make use of a cold storage when it comes to funds and only make the funds for withdrawal available at most times when such is implemented.

However, it is always very necessary that people should always take into account the use of 2FA to secure their accounts the more so as to be on the safer side to some extent. The fact remains that when it comes to liquidity, then centralized exchange is our only option most especially for bit traders, so you just have to understand the risks and try to minimize it.
869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to track changes in rules of bounty campaign? on: October 16, 2018, 12:03:31 PM
You can track the changes in rules in a bounty campaign by checking the thread itself and if the project has telegram groups, it is commonly posted there so I don't think you should worry about it. The only problem you're going to have is being active or not.
Most of the new rules are usually placed on the OP of the bounty thread most of the time and a lot of them now always tend to have telegram announcement group which anyone can join so as not to miss the chances of getting important updates on any project they are participating in.

The latter is what I have always made use of actually for a while now except once in a while that I may just have to visit the OP at least once in a week like you said, to see if there is actually anything. For people that do not check often and for some project bounties that do not announce when they end, now I see the reason why some people would keep submitting report even when the bounty has ended few months back.
870  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think their will be another Bull Run this year? I D0 NOT THINK SO! on: October 16, 2018, 10:59:59 AM
Still we can't predict exactly of what will happen cause we 3 months coming and still have possible on it. And as what we have notice from its historical trend, mostly bull runs happen at the last quarter. We stay positive and give faith on crypto.
Well, staying positive and knowing there is a great future is what has kept some of us going on right from the year we started way back and that patience and positive attitude towards the market is what has made us reap that benefit today.

Looking at the way things are for now, we can always see that the market is growing every day and every year and the potential is pretty much there. Whether there would be a bull run this year or next year or thereafter is certainly what no one can tell actually. The only thing we can just do is to monitor the situation of things and act accordingly.
871  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is the big crash of 2018. on: October 16, 2018, 09:52:12 AM
Thanks Kwukduck, you have again guided everyone very well by giving us one of your well-timed buy signals. Next time you should give us a donation address and allow us to show our appreciation. Hahaha.
I was actually coming to see the responses of those who have commented on this thread before Grin. Thanks to him indeed. After seeing the breakout I was just amazed how Kwuckduck is so much of an indicator and a lot of people are not seeing that already.

Moreover, even if had ended up dropping as he said anyway, we would have just have seen the chance to buy in at a lower price. For what is worth though, it is indeed a good thing we have someone like kwukduck to be able to let us know there is a possible breakout since he is an indicator now. At least, we get to do the opposite of whatever he comes out to say.
872  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is future looking for Bitcoin and Blockchain in 2019? on: October 16, 2018, 08:21:36 AM
The future of both bitcoin and blockchain looks bright. Both will witness new dimensions of development and adoption from different institutions will increase: governments, banks, and private organizations. I can't say much about its value, but definitely it will worth more than what we have today.
We can all see how things are gradually beginning to play out in most countries lately and how much they are actually looking to adopt blockchain technology which makes me believe that the sky is still very much going to be the starting point and we have not even moved yet, considering we are not even close to the possibility of saying we have a mainstream adoption which means when that time comes, we would not even be saying what we are saying now. I have a lot of confidence in the growth of this market in the long run as well as in the further development of blockchain technology.

no one can know for sure the future of cryptocurrency because it has become the nature and risk of investing in cryptocurrencies it requires confidence from its own investors and the development of cryptocurrencies also depends on the investor too
Obviously no one can, but we can at least be optimistic knowing for a fact that the possibility of seeing the market grow far more than this is most definitely there. From what has been going on lately with the adoption of blockchain technology and then the cryptocurrency market growing daily with institutions and banks wanting to be a part of it, I guess we just have to admit to ourselves one way or the other that this market is here to stay and we have not even seen anything yet until we start getting to the point of real life usage for bitcoin as a currency.
873  Economy / Economics / Re: The world that all money have become crypto currencies issued by government on: October 16, 2018, 07:46:31 AM
The bank will be stronger than before if it wants to launch a new crypto under the auspices of the local government, centrally it often becomes the pros and cons in the crypto world where each has an advantage that considers and hopes that crypto is always decentralized on the other hand banks always oppose all reasons with security, it is a scheme that has been read because they want global control even though it is complicated to follow lust only with power.
Not just the banks, but the country in which the blockchain technology is adopted. Nonetheless, it would not really change much if we are referring to decentralization as the centralized aspect is something we most definitely will not stop seeing for now.

However, we have to understand that in cases like this, even with the centralization, there is always a huge transparency which I believe will curb a whole lot of things and most especially when it comes to corruption, but the thing is even at points like this, it totally still depends on the government anyway but one thing I know for sure is that government will never accept decentralization as they always love the control.
874  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US Dollar Too Volatile? on: October 15, 2018, 06:42:42 PM
The dollar is not volatile but the politics of USA is insanely volatile which reflects on the american economy heavily considering they are a big part capitalist country that almost lets its citizens die from a simple sickness if they do not have money for hospitals (which are so expensive that people commonly say no to ambulances).

Now considering there has been a republican president (father Bush) than democrat president (Bill Clinton) than republican (g.w.bush) than democrat (Obama) than republican (trump) we can clearly say that Americans are really heavy on their democracy, obviously no one runs that country for too long and every side gets their chance and considering all around the world parties that take the presidency usually stays there for a long time its great that parties change constantly in USA, however that means politics and laws and how the country is run changes as well with each time which means there are always turmoil and changes that affect the economy there constantly, that is why dollar seems "volatile" whereas it probably is not.
875  Economy / Economics / Re: Big institutional money has yet to enter the field. on: October 15, 2018, 02:31:52 PM
Huge amounts of money have yet to come in. I'm talking about pension funds, teacher retirement funds and large index funds. They're not in the realm of cryptography right now, but they're just around the corner. There are two reasons. First, there is a lack of hosting services to help them provide/buy/store passwords. Second, it's too unstable for them. That has turned most of the big money going into crypto into technology-focused venture funds and some family offices.
I think it won't enter any time soon. We are talking about "big" institutional money and if its really that big it should be over 100's of million dollars for each, a total of billions of dollars together.

We are having trouble whenever someone sells 15k bitcoin and our market cripples and stays low for a long time when that happens, 15k bitcoin worths about 100 million dollars right now, if one 100 million dollar made our market this way can you think how much billions of dollars would affect the market ? For better or worse it would change the market drastically. Noone in their right mind would invest hundreds of million dollars into something this fragile.
876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price: Wait for Clear Bull Trend before Buying More Cryptocurrency on: October 14, 2018, 10:20:57 AM
But the strategy need to be buy right now and wait foe the bull run, right? Since we can't identify when the bull run begin.

People can buy now who are hoping that crypto currencies will be the future of currency system so for them the current price will be much beneficial but fot the traders then need to be more analytic.
Well, the thing is it all depends on how you have your plans sorted out when it comes to buying into the market. For instance, a lot of people who are going long without any strategy of being able to monitor the market, would obviously just stick with the idea of buying the dips, if it comes more, then you buy more.

For seasoned traders however, we all know sideways movement is not a movement at all most especially when direction can be in two either ways which is up or bottom. For now, we just have to be patient and see the break out, if it is with a volume and the chances of bulls back into action actually, nonetheless, it depends on your level of risk actually and if you feel you can monitor trend, buy now, then no shit.
877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to be A Good Trader? [new] on: October 14, 2018, 03:16:15 AM
Learn from many places and explore more knowledge about trading but besides all of it you have to do trading for yourself because knowledge will be useless if you not use it for real and in my view good traders is they can able to utilize almost all of situations to get decent profit but if they lost then they can forget it and moving forward without being frustrate
That is even the good thing about our world right now, as there is so much you can learn from the internet, if you actually have that urge to want to learn. Personally, I never went to any school to learn how to trade and everything that I learned, I did from the internet using investopedia as well as tradingstrategyguide website.

There is actually so much to learn when it comes to trading, but the best thing is to learn the basics, find a strategy, build on it from practice and then get good at what you want to do. That is always the best way to start a profession and over time as you keep doing well; you keep getting more experience and confidence to do things well.
878  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to trade altcoins? on: October 13, 2018, 04:53:32 PM
It is important to minimize risk understand the market before betting anything big, buy low, sell high, diversify between trading and investing, always observe on the major political events related to cryptocurrency world. You may want to follow some well trusted experts and popular channels for getting latest updates, news and trends in the cryptomarket.
I would say understanding the market is actually the main thing here when it comes to trading altcoins and at the moment, it is going to be a huge risk when it comes to trying to pick the market at this moment unless you are sure you have some pretty tight stop loss in place. Trading altcoins is a lot risky as it is one pretty huge volatile environment and if you are not careful, you will get pretty screwed fast. Watch out for bitcoin most of the time and then look at the chances for a bullish movement for the general market, and I believe it would be easy to know when to trade altcoins.

When it comes to trading altcoins, the general condition of the market is actually something to always look at and the fact that bitcoin has a huge part to play in that.
No one could refuse that. To trade altcoins better, we must study the futures of bitcoin markets. Instead of getting into double hard work needed altcoin trading, I always opt for long term bitcoin trading. I agree that some times, altcoin trading is good but it could never overtake the profits of long term bitcoin trading, as per my experiences.
879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Want to learn basic trading ? on: October 13, 2018, 02:35:35 PM
I think in youtube, we can found many good video that could teach us how to do trading and we can found in different markets. after we watch the video, then we need to find another article to read another info about how to make an order buy or order sell with the price we want. the other thing we need to learn is we need to determine where is trend will be movement and what we should do if somehow the price is suddenly going to go up or down like a flash pump or flash dump.
Yeah, there are so many great videos on YouTube with a lot of traders sharing their strategies and so many giving you some clues on how to manage your funds or do certain things in real life but at the same time, you still have to be very careful the type of videos you really want to be watching as some are not even worth watching at all with the fact that they can be misleading.

A lot of people who put videos on YouTube are actually looking for how they can at least make money from adverts and they really do not care about you. There are some blogs however which is what I would always encourage as you will be able to learn a lot from and one of them is http://tradingstrategyguides.com
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A banking app helped me beat my addiction on: October 13, 2018, 08:54:06 AM
After reading this article, I would say the main character mentioned in this article does have strong determination to fight against his own gambling addiction, if a person who is seriously addicted to gambling does not even have a strong perseverance and determination to quit gambling, I believe this banking app would not be able to help much too. This story shows how scary it is when someone became seriously addicted to gambling, they could end up paying debts for their whole life due to their gambling addiction, and basically their life would be ruin if they are not able to step out from it.
Yes. From the look of things actually, you can only request for the application being used on your account if you really feel you want it and it is not like it is imposed on anyone, so in a way, that strong determination is something that would really come in handy to be able to want to quit.

The problem most of the time is people actually want to get help, but the fact that they are addicted and they cannot easily get something to hold them back most of the time when the addiction comes calling, is something that can be a whole lot challenging which is why I believe it is reasonable for a gambler to know he is already on a wrong path and then be willing to change as well.
