861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are getting innovative. on: August 04, 2023, 09:20:03 PM
I haven't used Discord, but a similar situation happened to me on Telegram. They sent me a link to fill a form, but being cautious about scams, I didn't fall for it and blocked them directly. If they wanted to work with me, they could have simply asked questions on Telegram and made payments to start the work. It's essential for users to learn from your post, as scammers are constantly finding new ways to deceive us.
862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anyone know how many bitcoins disappear forever? on: August 04, 2023, 08:55:14 PM
I recently stumbled upon a Google search, and it caught my attention that newsbtc released a report stating that Six Million BTC Are Out Of Circulation Forever. This suggests that if their report is accurate, six million Bitcoin have been lost. However, I personally think the actual number might be higher, though I cannot confirm the accuracy of the report. It's possible that some of these "out of circulation" Bitcoins could resurface in the future as their owners may be holding them long-term.
863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 04, 2023, 08:41:51 PM
For free ,For freedom.

The above two reasons are enough for me to choose cryptocurrency.
What does mean free? Freedom is fine. Everyone like financial freedom and we can use Bitcoin for our financial freedom. However its not about choose cryptocurrency. The post about why do you like adapt cryptocurrency.

And I don’t want my husband to know how many money I have, that is the third reason.
This part is interesting. It's call privacy. So third reason would be privacy for you and behind of your Bitcoin adaption.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anyone know how many bitcoins disappear forever? on: August 04, 2023, 07:19:50 PM
Fortunately, I haven't lost my Bitcoins permanently, but I did lose some funds from trading. Detecting the exact number of Bitcoins lost forever is challenging. Some sources identify Bitcoins that haven't moved for a long time, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are lost forever. There's no way to collect missing Bitcoin addresses or private keys from any sources. It's not a practical question, as finding private keys would mean the Bitcoins aren't considered lost.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your reasons for adopting cryptocurrency? on: August 02, 2023, 09:28:08 PM
I am fond of embracing Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies due to their ability to transfer money worldwide without involving third parties. The blessings of cryptocurrencies enable us to work from home and accept global payments effortlessly. Moreover, they provide financial freedom by keeping our financial movements beyond government monitoring.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My passion on bitcoin on: August 02, 2023, 09:21:02 PM
All investments carry some level of risk, ranging from small to relatively high. Bitcoin, being a highly volatile cryptocurrency, entails significant risk. Therefore, you should be ready to face potential losses along with potential gains. It's crucial not to regret your decision later, as you are already aware of the associated risks.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Says SEC Told It To Delist Everything But Bitcoin: Report on: August 02, 2023, 08:37:12 PM
Yesterday, I came across news stating that the SEC asking relo e all the trading pair except Bitcoin, rather they might consider requesting the shutdown of Coinbase. As Coinbase generates its revenue from various trading activities, a potential reduction to just one trading pair could lead to a loss of users. Even if Coinbase continues to operate, such actions could significantly impact its share price in the stock market. This situation poses a potential threat to the crypto industry, and some perceive it as part of the recent drama surrounding US regulatory actions, where certain businesses are hindered from starting operations if they don't align with government preferences.
868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud in the market and bitcoin volatility on: August 02, 2023, 08:00:48 PM
Binance is facing successive attacks from the US, but instead of resorting to drama, the US should take concrete steps if they want to ban it. Dramatic actions and attacks are detrimental to the entire crypto market. A more reasonable approach would be for the US to suspend Binance operations solely for US citizens, as attempting to destroy the entire crypto market or globally ban Binance may not be feasible. Moreover, some countries like the UAE and Japan are welcoming Binance, so there's no need to panic over such news.
869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack on: July 31, 2023, 08:28:29 PM
As far as I know, Bitcoin has never experienced a 51% attack & there were no reported 51% attacks on the Bitcoin network in its early days. Bitcoin's security relies on its decentralized nature and the significant computational power required to perform such an attack. While there have been 51% attacks on smaller and less secure blockchain networks, Bitcoin's popularity and widespread mining made it more resilient to such threats.
870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does cryptocurrency actually solve any problems? on: July 31, 2023, 08:23:06 PM
Cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, plays a crucial role in resolving various issues. It enables borderless transactions without third-party involvement, making payments more efficient and secure. Additionally, cryptocurrencies offer a global payment system for merchants, overcoming the challenges of traditional fiat systems. Many people worldwide are earning through cryptocurrency, and I, too, have found success with this payment system.
871  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC asked Coinbase to halt trading in everything except BITCOIN, CEO says on: July 31, 2023, 08:17:14 PM
It would be alarming if Coinbase had to halt all other altcoin trading. It's true that the SEC or anyone can't stop Bitcoin anyway; hence, they are asking to keep Bitcoin trading live while they want to halt trading for other coins. It's nothing new that Bitcoin is always different from altcoins, but we are tired of the SEC drama. They allow businesses to start and grow, and then ask them to halt. This is a threat to the overall crypto industry.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin to pay everything online? on: July 30, 2023, 08:50:00 PM
Using Bitcoin directly may not be possible in all the places I need, including my country. However, I can still use it indirectly by selling it peer-to-peer and instantly converting it to fiat, especially through mobile financial services. While Bitcoin cannot replace fiat currency right away, the increasing availability of peer-to-peer services makes it convenient to use almost instantly. Don't expect use Bitcoin like fiat currency. It won't happen so quickly.
873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beauty of Bitcoin is in use case. on: July 28, 2023, 09:12:14 PM
Topic title is pretty interested, Absolutely, I agree with you. The beauty of Bitcoin lies not only in its use case as a decentralized digital currency but also in its potential for global transactions. Being able to send Bitcoin worldwide as a payment method, similar to how we send money through the banking system, opens up new possibilities for cross-border transactions and financial inclusion. Additionally, businesses accepting Bitcoin as a payment method can also contribute to its widespread adoption and utility.
874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'll always tell people about bitcoin on: July 28, 2023, 08:45:36 PM
Regrettably, I am unable to openly promote Bitcoin in my country due to its legal status. Instead, I discreetly share information about it with only those closest to me. Revealing myself as a Bitcoin user could lead to trouble with law enforcement agencies in the future. However, when explaining Bitcoin to someone, I make sure to inform them about the associated risks, as they might hold me responsible if they experience losses in the value of their holdings.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Saylor ever sell? on: July 28, 2023, 08:38:22 PM
Saylor will likely sell his Bitcoin holdings at some point, but the exact timing is uncertain. He purchased Bitcoin to profit from it, not to hold it indefinitely. Selling is essential for him to realize those profits. As an institutional investor, he's well-informed about his plans and can make informed decisions on when to sell.
876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Community research: To drink or to buy coins? on: July 28, 2023, 07:28:13 PM
I rarely drink, except during special occasions or social gatherings. I consume alcohol only once every one or two months. However, considering the current price of Bitcoin, I would need to forgo approximately 2400 bottles of beer to afford one Bitcoin. Given my infrequent drinking habits, I realize that if I can manage to save up these funds from not purchasing alcohol regularly, I might be able to invest in Bitcoin when I have accumulated enough earnings.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the impact of this news on Bitcoin adoption ? on: July 26, 2023, 08:53:26 PM
Certainly, it is undeniably positive news; however, it appears that the market's immediate response has been rather subdued. Nevertheless, this marks a significant milestone in Bitcoin adoption, potentially leading to a greater awareness of Bitcoin among the masses, which could pique the interest of many individuals looking to invest. As a result, we may witness a gradual expansion of the Bitcoin market.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Another Good Source Of Motivation For You ... on: July 26, 2023, 08:47:12 PM
The concept is quite impressive. Imagine if you had embraced this idea a decade ago and held onto your investments without selling. By now, you would likely be one of the wealthiest individuals in the world. This thought experiment is something I occasionally indulge in.

For instance, today someone paid me $1000 worth of ETH, which is more than 0.5 ETH. To capitalize on the opportunity, I decided to purchase an additional 1.5 ETH, bringing my total holdings to 2 ETH. Without any intention of engaging in short-term trading, I securely transferred the purchased ETH to my Ledger wallet. The same strategy could be applied to Bitcoin as well.

The idea is to hold onto these assets with a long-term perspective, potentially reaping significant benefits over time due to their appreciation in value. It's fascinating to ponder how such a simple yet powerful strategy could lead to substantial wealth accumulation.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a person buy a hardware wallet where crypto is ban? on: July 26, 2023, 08:29:11 PM
If cryptocurrencies are banned in your country, avoid ordering hardware wallets directly from online shops outside your nation. There might be a network of individuals involved in supplying hardware wallets, so finding trustworthy suppliers is crucial. Some wallets may manage to bypass customs detection, but you'll need to conduct a thorough investigation to identify them as I don't have specific names to provide.

Alternatively, you could seek assistance from someone you trust, who resides in a country where cryptocurrencies are allowed. They could help you acquire a hardware wallet and make the process easier for you.
880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin foundation on: July 26, 2023, 08:20:35 PM
Picture a scenario in which all Bitcoin holders decide to transfer their holdings to cold wallets, effectively removing all available Bitcoin from the market. What would be the implications of such a situation? How would others be able to acquire Bitcoin, and how would trading persist? The outcome might result in a stagnant price, with trading activity grinding to a halt. This could resemble the situation of a "shitcoin," where the buy and sell prices remain fixed, causing no movement on the price chart. It's essential not to assume everything will unfold as per our individual opinions, as numerous unknown factors can influence the outcome.
