921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Peercoin be the next Vertcoin? on: October 28, 2017, 11:32:28 AM
There's a nominal 2 billion coin limit that'll probably never be reached.

I think they're aiming for 1% annual inflation which is more sensiblethan a hard cap for something that aims to be used.

Correct, 100 years from this day = supply @ 65 989 280

Ok...that’s good. So why is Peercoin not capable of being the next Vertcoin? Something tells me Vertcoin is going up because it has that atomic swap buzz as a spark. Could Peercoin go in that direction?

well Vert has slept for a good 2-3 years before it started this bull run, who knows? Only the whales.

When exchanger will come??
The only exchange active now is the Waves DEX.
We are working with other exchanges, but our top priority now is finishing the design on our platform. Where users will be able to trade on the Waves dex, and perform all Waves platform interactions, using PANTS for all fees.

How much PANTS are needed to setup a node? And will PANTS replace WAVES as transaction fee or is this optional? Bought a ton of pants... yesterday when shopping but then I got onto DEX and bought a ton of PANTS aswell.
923  Economy / Goods / Re: Only 5 BTC, 6 inches pack, Original Ayurvedic Urea on: October 28, 2017, 10:43:15 AM
5 BTC for an extra 6 inches in height? that is like $4700 per additional inches.

yeah, it's very rare herb.

How stupid do you think people are....please close this stupid thread down so I don't have to see over and over again your sales pitch for magic beans that make you grow.  And don't pull this shit that it really works, no one believes you and for good reason. "Magic beans don't exist".  You are selling advil for $30k and telling people they will grow....

grow up, don't act childish. You are the only who really need this.

BTW I already sold it. Smiley

Lol, no you didn't. Who did you sell it to?

a good friendly buyer whom I met via Kijiji.. Smiley

Doesn't suprise me plenty of buyers for this market, same people who buy Rhino horns as a medicine...
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MADESAFECOIN, STORJ, SUBSTRATUM, SHIFT, SIACOIN on: October 28, 2017, 10:20:44 AM
I don't see this as a competition. I think the question you're really asking is which one will have the highest gains?
I personally joined Substratum ICO and I hope it will provide a solution to people living in totalitarian governments.
925  Economy / Reputation / Re: TRANSLATION FRAUD: cattani30 on: October 27, 2017, 11:00:32 PM
Cattani30 is Romanian. I don't speak Romanian.
I am Dutch. Cattani30 doesn't speak Dutch.
Cattani30 posted threads on my behalf.
How is that so hard to understand for you retards?

I'm not accusing you, you're innocent untill proven guilty.

From Paypie ANN which is in Dutch (I'm Dutch).
Werelds = s'Werelds, though not immediatly incorrect it is not formal. ''Werelds'' is used in sayings or can be used in certain sentence constructions though s'Werelds would be highly preferred in this particular case.
RISICOSCOREALGORITME = Risicoscore-algoritme, else it is completely unreadable for any Dutch person and also plain incorrect.

Picking a random sentence, let's see if we can improve this:

-This is completely screwed though sorry. - could be google translate, that be very plausible.

Improvement:

except for ''toegewezen'' which is oke, I personally wouldn't go with it, it's absolute trash.

There are more mistakes like this and the ANN could be improved on significantly. Whether translator tools we're used.. can't really say. Its plausible but i'd be more inclined to say he's got a poor understanding of Dutch like a lot of people have. It is not an easy language.

I'd be inclined to ask if you're from Turkish/Morrocan or other national descent? Cause I notice a lot of incorrect use of ''De'' en ''Het'' which is common among people with parents who have a different nationality. I'd also be very inclined, judging from the translation, that you are indeed of foreign descent with Dutch nationality. Not sure how to put this ''politcally correct''.

He/she should definitely improve on his Dutch grammar to keep translating. A company's profile/branding is at stake plus the legal implications could be huge when translating incorrectly. I wouldn't jump to calling him/her a scammer though there are no requirements for doing these jobs and if a company can't review whether a translator did his/her job correctly its their liability. I understand a huge amount of trust is involved but it's a bit of a grey area (like most of crypto).

Okay summation cause I have mixed feelings:
- If you are not using google translate or translator tools, then seriously improve your Dutch cause if I we're your employer I'd turn you down. It is not acceptable.
- His translation does strongly indicate translator tools or as I mentioned before he's of foreign descent which would make it somewhat understandable but not acceptable.

Conclusion: Translation is poor, lacks quality, doesn't credit the company/brand and could potentially result in legal issues if he translated parts related to that.
I would not hire him, I'd tell him to go back to school to put it very harsh. I'm more inclined to say he/she has a poor understanding of Dutch than to say he/she used third party tools.

So even if he doesn't scam; it is a serious issue when poor quality translations like this one are done.

Note: ''De'' and "Het'' both means ''The'' in English but correct use of these two words is highly significant in Dutch. Some sentences are absolute cringe when used wrong.

What u guys think of Monetha ?
Binance has Monetha and they REALLY care what they pick. So why is the Price so low ?

Good entry Point?

Or just a bad Project?

Allot is down, can't tell you exactly why it is at the price it is but I can tell you it is below ICO price.

930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo and Humaniq - asking for a differentt perspective on: October 26, 2017, 10:55:55 PM
hmm, certainly a fresh idea as people here are endorsing OMG a lot. But if you plan to ask around without researching much, crypto might be too risky for you. please research more on yourself, OMG whitepaper can be easily found in their website.

Who says I don't do research? And yes I found their whitepaper was a bit hidden though. Just thought it be interesting to hear others perspective, no I'm not asking for investment advice. I'm asking for perspective. And I'm doing quite alright in crypto thank you.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tokenomica and Waves on: October 26, 2017, 10:49:13 PM
So apparantly, there's going to be a centralized platform to be built on top of waves decentralized platform - nice middleground.
http://tokenomica.com/ Which is to help with the legal framework of ICOs. I think this will be a really nice feature towards making this industry more professional and reduce the amount of Shit ICOs we're seeing flooding the market. Might even provide Waves with the competitive edge it needs.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: October 26, 2017, 10:12:40 PM
99% of ICO's mostly dreams and talk

Better to look for older proven projects that are well on their way to finishing their road maps.

I suspect most of these ico's like 70% or greater will never never finish or get half way through their road maps before draining the dev funding via huge developer costs (their wages) .... before starting a new ico.

I don't look specifically at OMG or humaniq with this finger but I am weary of of ico promises.

Besides the fact ico's in general could be on shaky ground in future.

Yeah I got kind of worried since OMG doesn't have any infrastructure up yet, just a vision, no roadmap, didn't see a whitepaper aswell. The development is really slow I mean this ICO must have been what? July? And you still don't have anything to show for? That doesn't look good.. but then again the market eventually decides and if the market decides that a release of some infrastructure in Q4 is worth 25 dollars well... fuck me.. Humaniq clearly shows effort, engaging into communication with businesses to start accepting their coin so that people can benefit, launching local exchanges to give access to crypto etc etc. But then.. Vitalik is sort of endorsing Omisego with wearing the t-shirts EVERYWHERE. So are they just really keen on their privacy and is there more to the project or does Vitalik like to give into the hype a bit aswell. The idea is sound, but it still needs proper excecution. I think OMG was also the first that came with an idea to do this in this specific way.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / OmiseGo and Humaniq - asking for a differentt perspective on: October 26, 2017, 09:58:42 PM
Hello, I'm thinking about putting some BTC on OmiseGO but I noticed that there's another project aiming to do similar things; Humaniq.
OmiseGo has received allot of hype but it seems that they don't actually have anything functioning yet.
I'm wondering if it is actually a good buy, it's hyped beyond measurement but there's no concrete evidence to back up all this.
Meanwhile Humaniq seems to be publically doing more than OmiseGO.

Now please don't tell me to go with both; I kind of want to make this an if/or kind of thing, what do you recognize would be a solid investment? OmiseGo has a wallet coming out this quarter or some kind of infrastructure that will allow it to be accessed by ''all'' but I wonder if this coin's hype can backlash. I think allot of people have settled on OmiseGO as a monthly reinvestment (averaging) in the hopes of skyrocket prices like Ethereum. Speaking about Ethereum Vitalik seems to always wear OmiseGo t-shirts.

Though I get a vibe from humaniq that's more professional and makes progress faster. Though this doesn't mean that Humaniq will be anywhere Omise is now. So I thought maybe you guys could help shed some light on the subject so I can make a better decision.

Shoot away all that you think/speculate and hope for, be critical or shill out I don't care. Just want to hear some different perspectives.

Quote
Any customer with a Bitcoin balance on Coinbase at the time of the fork will be credited with an equal amount of the Bitcoin2x asset on the Bitcoin2x blockchain. No action is required—we will automatically credit your account. So, if you have 5 Bitcoin stored on Coinbase before the fork; you will have 5 Bitcoin and 5 Bitcoin2x following the event.

937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BATMAN REVIEWS: Vertcoin - The Ultimate Pump and Pump or Next MOON Coin? on: October 26, 2017, 07:08:33 PM
Thanks for your review of the project, but I don't see this as a $40 token. Not really sure of the parameter you put together to get those figures, this is possible if Bitcoin continue this bullish run and 5000sat = $1

40$ is quite longterm though don't expect it this year. But I got a friend who just like Batman does technical analyses and he recommended me this coin as a longterm hodl aswell.
So it's quite interesting to see two people heavily involved and experienced in tech analyses recommend the same coin.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES mega bullish! on: October 26, 2017, 08:53:27 AM
are the altcoins going to kill ETH? I see people saying waves better than eth, QTUM better than eth, is ETH DEAD?!

I got to agree that there are some better than Ethereum, tech wise, platform wise etc. But no ETH won't die. They are first to market and what we often see in economics is that the first to market has an advantage, simply because they're first. They might lose some of the market share to others but overall summing everything up in that category they will relatively hold the largest market share. Now this industry is quite new so some historical events might not replay accurately as what we're used to.

Market share in 2020: (example)

Ethereum 30%, Waves 15%, Lisk, 10%, Stratis 20%, Neo 20%, all others combined 5%.

As you can see Ethereum's market share sharply declined but remains dominant relatively to others. So this is just a little example that shouldn't be taken serious except for the point it try's to illustrate. And yes I know I left out some like Qtum, again just an example to illustrate.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Gresham's law - Antonopolous on: October 26, 2017, 08:47:37 AM
So I watched a video of mr. Antonopolous (several) first thing I'd like to mention that he's quite brilliant and an avid public speaker. He made me think differently about several things already. Such as money being a means of communication.

Now in one of his video's he talked about Greshmam's law which means that when a less valueable currency is introduced or circulating the more valueable currencies, the ones with more intrinsic value will start being used less thus effectively removing them from circulation. Cause why spend a silver dime when you can use a dime of nickel for the same item?
Silver having more intrinsic value, most likely more value than what is stamped on the dime as what its supposedly worth. Are we seeing the same with Bitcoin? It is ment as a currency but it is becoming more and more like an asset. Most people don't recommend spending Bitcoin at all, thus we effectively remove it from circulation whilst giving up the things we see as less valueable such as paper money. Are we seeing Gresham's law in effect with Bitcoin? I don't consider it to be bad or good, but unsure of the consequences, in my own reasoning I then see Bitcoin become more valueable in the future because we already attach a certain value to this and recommend getting rid of the less valueable currencies to save the ones we really favor. Now you can't use the silver dime to buy goods anymore (USA 60's-70's?) but you can sell the silver to someone who collects it/saves it or a bullion for more than what you could have bought with it in the 60's-70's(?).

Are we seeing Gresham's law in effect with Bitcoin. But what does this mean then for circulating currencies such as dollars and euro's? Surely they won't vanish because we save our bitcoin, they keep circulating? Same as what happened with silver and paper in the USA 60-70's(?).
