Poloniex having trouble again  I'm getting quite sick of it now. Every other day there's a problem with Poloniex. Must be some lack of experience on the admin side when it comes to server scaling, they have been adding new coins like crazy neglecting performance impact. Sad part is that their interface is better than larger exchanges like Cryptsy. Yeah, I really like the exchange itself, but the downtime is doing them so much harm. People are going to lose confidence in the exchange. There are multiple problems a week now. It's just not good for an exchange at all. I feel safe putting my coins there, but you really need a high level of standard with an exchange, and a lot of people won't put up with it. I just hope these are just growing pains. |

It's new, but it really doesn't do anything new that's useful.
If GPU ASICs come out, and Scrypt difficulty rockets, then you just mine it via a different algorithm. Right? |

I'm stopping my block rewarders for now.
I've been monitoring the market and it does no real good since the fees collected are being sold off by at least one of the larger hashrate miners, always driving the price down a bit since the sell orders follow the movement.
Not the effect I was hoping for, seems to be working in an automated way and I don't want to spend 100-200 PMC a week for that eventually even buying them back.
Yeah, if there are one or two very big miners that are dumping for profit then overall it probably doesn't have the desired effect. Basically we need more miners and more distributed hashpower. |

Maxcoin is a victim of its own success. As soon as it became more profitable for people to mine than Litecoin, all the Litecoin miners switched to Maxcoin. Profit-miners don't speculate. They mine for the BTC. So there's huge downward pressure on the price because of this, and the speculators are just frankly outnumbered by a huge margin.
It was pretty much inevitable, really. The high initial speculative prices set Maxcoin up to treated like this.
IMO, someone is not truly a "Litecoin miner" if they are mining purely for profit and will switch to any chain that is more profitable. I think it's wrong to blame this on Litecoin or Litecoin miners. Also, I think it is wrong to blame this on the for profit miners as well. It is not their fault that the Maxcoin launch was so incredibly botched that Maxcoin was doomed to fail from its inception. Is it their fault that no one sees any value in Maxcoin? No, that is Max Keiser's fault and his development team's fault. Many coins have survived, grown, and been improved upon despite the fact for profit miners dump the coins at the first chance they get. Apologies. I didn't mean to insinuate this is the fault of Litecoin miners. Just profit miners in general. A lot of them mine LTC because it's a relatively stable altcoin with predictable profits. That, and it's pretty well known. I think you're right, though. The hype has died down for Maxcoin. The dumpers have dumped, the bagholders are left holding the bags, and people have moved on. Who knows, maybe things will change, but it seems like a flash in the pan to me. |

Wow thanks, sorry if I was a dick. It's much better knowing that only a handful got 5k and most got a couple hundred, but I still feel it should distributed more evenly to more people.

Some interesting activity on Poloniex this evening. Someone dumped 1363 PMC and the market didn't even flinch.
Strong market, and very interesting behaviour indeed. It looks like more and more people are realising how valuable Premine is.

This is a great find by the Premine community. Hopefully the word will get to Bitcoin developers so they can address the issue.
Because PMC is essentially how Bitcoin will look in the future, it's an excellent way to spot these issues down the road for Bitcoin.

I like PREMINE because it is i rising giant among coins. I haven't actually downloaded a wallet yet just got some premines on an exchange so is it better for me to put my Premines in a wallet off the exchanges? I just realized if it is a POS coin I need to put into my wallet correct? Premine isn't PoS, but it is very rare. If you plan to hold it long-term and wait for the big price rises then it would be safer to get a wallet and keep them there. There's also an android wallet now, so you could even store it on your Phone/Tablet. |

0.001BTC price. First price when it may go not only up but down too also. Time to dump some And dont forget, PoS coins are not good to trade. They are all traded at once so there is no space for pump and dump, you always take risk of being called by too many sellers so the pump may end in red numbers. Thats why i am currently not awaiting a big price increase and volume. Look at buyers, sell few premines for 2BTC and the price will be halved. Rune n. 1 - dont forget to cash out rewards, rule n. 2 - never buy something what doubled its price in a day, rule n. 3 dont forget to rebuy when price plummets even if you have to sacrifice some of your previous reward. PMC has already exceeded 0.001. The coin has been dumped on numerous occasions, only for the price to stabilise and then eventually go back up. People are selling themselves out of the market, and if that means "time to dump some", then PMC is one of the most stable altcoins I've seen. Quite frankly myself and many others are poised for the next dumper to sell his share at rock bottom prices. The PMC community isn't a bunch of pump and dumpers. Hence it's continued successes. |

Somebody dumped 2.5k and now those are on the sell wall, blocking a further rise  The price is exceptionally stable for a 2.5k dump. If it won't fall further, somebody just sold himself out I do hope so. One less weak hand. The market is realising this is a rare coin. There are more people hoping for dumpers than there are dumpers now. More people selling themselves out please. |

No surprises there. Not going to have any pity for anyone who misses out on PMC when Bitcoin's price goes back up. There's only so cheap a coin with less than a 500,000 coins can go. One of the few crypto currencies that isn't actually going down. I'm tempted to move even more of my BTC into PMC, to be honest. I know I'll be rewarded for it later on.
