Hi, MWC profitability in the dashboard is not correct. Awesome miner also does not detect the coin although I have selected Cuckarood29 algorithm for this coin. It does not show its icon. Please kindly fix it.

Thanks for the report. I've already pushed a calculation update to correct MWC. Coin icons are not automatically downloaded but I can make sure it's included in the next update.

Hello again, thanks for the support.

Grin (Cuckaroom29) and MWC (Cuckarood29) arr still showing wrong profitability amounts. Why this error has happened? Awesome miner profitability was so accurate before!

When I'm looking right now I can see the following:
1) MWC 29 via WhatToMine: Looks good
2) Grin 29 via WhatToMine: Looks good
3) MWC 29 via CoinCalculators: Looks good
4) Grin 29 via CoinCalculators: Doesn't match WhatToMine and doesn't match Awesome Miner, but it's not as incorrect as in your screenshot

#4 was fine when I made adjustments last week after your previous feedback, but I will take another look.

Are you using CoinCalculators as your primary coin source in the Options dialog, Statistics Provider section? Trying WhatToMine could be an option.
Was these incorrect display only temporary or do you still see them?

There can be cases where Awesome Miner needs adjustments for coins, for example in case of new coins, coin forks and so on. Otherwise the values you see will depend on the sources like CoinCalculators or WhatToMine

The latest update of Awesome Miner doesn't work with GMiner again, the GMiner exits with an error. Is there any way to go back to previous version of Awesome Miner? Maybe there is an archive of different versions somewhere?
GMiner has a "feature" where it tries to detect tampering. When you launch Gminer from other applications it can on some systems trigger this tamper protection.

It's unfortunately nothing I can do from an Awesome Miner to resolve this as it's a Gminer behavior. What you could try is to run a little older version of Gminer to see if that works better. You can configure this via the Options dialog, Managed Software section.

@patrike It would be great if you could split the Awsome Miner thread into 2 threads - one for GPU and another for ASIC - finding ASIC stuff in here with all the GPU/CPU related stuff is like a needle in the haystack.

I have a question - is the current firmware on the Antminer backed up when installing the Awesome Miner firmware? I would like to try it, but I don't see the process to revert back if I don't like it - or if I decide to sell the unit and want to put the original firmware back.

Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion and question.

The original firmware isn't backed up. However, you can at any point download the Bitmain firmware from their web page and install. This makes it possible to revert back to Bitmain firmware if you want to sell your Antminer.

945  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Awesome Miner - Unlock Antminer S9, T9+, S15, T15, S17, T17 (free for everyone) on: February 07, 2020, 06:39:22 PM
The Awesome miner can oc the T17 S17 miners?
Yes, with the Antminer firmware you can overclock T17 and S17. For S17 you can for example get 70-85TH/s, which is a significant improvement.

Awesome Miner will of course make it easy to set these overclocking profile on a large number of miners in a single operation.

When using our firmware, you can use the Awesome Miner software to manage and monitor your miners without having to purchase a license.

Hi All,

Any thoughts on why trying to add a wallet balance for a new BTC and ETH address returns an update failed error but I can manually go to the respective block explorer and get a balance?
Can you please send me a PM with an example of an address that isn't working? That's makes troubleshooting easier for me. Many thanks!

Another question:

I have add a custom coin. In balance is only show 0 dollar for this coin if i add a dollar price in the coin properties. I must add the btc price to have the a value in balance tab. Is this normal?
I was able to reproduce this problem and I will make a correction in the next release (v7.3.1).

Hi,
I am mining AION coin in Awesomeminer using Mini Z, and the profitability is showing a wrong number. Please help me how to fix the coin details. You told me how to do it for Zclassic before, but I think each coin is different. Please fix that in the next update as well. Cheers

I've pushed an update for this coin, to adjust the calculations. These calculation updates are automatically downloaded by your Awesome Miner client so the issue should be resolved now.

Thanks for the help. I noticed that Zelcash Profitability is also showing the wrong number on the dashboard. If you check the hash rate on the Whattomine website, it shows a lower number per day. Please kindly check that for Grin, Beam, and Zelcash. Cheers

For Zelcash I think it's fine. Please note that in your WhatToMine.com screenshot you use the 24h average Difficulty value. Awesome Miner uses the Current difficulty by default. If you change the calculator on the WhatToMine web site to use the Current difficulty as well - it should match better.

Please also note that some coins like Beam can have about 4% different revenue depending on if you look at WhatToMine and CoinCalculators.

Hi Patrike,

i found a bug. No Miner or System Uptime in the Information column

And is it possible to write fans and other labels (information column) in bold, like i have in the progress field? I think it makes it better readable.

Thanks for pointing out the format error.

In the Information Column dialog you can edit any label. You can change from the default "Uptime: " to "<b>Uptime: </b>" to get bold text.

hello, may be new feature ?
on profit switching an option (a box to check) for when there is a switch of pool, just before switching the average performance for the periode will update the profile hashrate and power ?
for those who have a whole profit profile by rig, it may be  a sort of auto updating profile hashrate and profile power all along the mining ?
Thanks for the suggestion and there have been similar suggestions in the past as well. I agree with your point that this can be a more efficient way to keep the Profit Profiles up to date rather than doing benchmarks all the time.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: February 06, 2020, 09:31:08 AM
A future addition might be not only to time stamp notifications when a miner goes offline but to timestamp when it comes back online so we can tell how long it was off.
Thanks for the suggestion. I agree with your point and there should probably also be a way to auto-acknowledge notifications in case the miner goes online again.

Patrike,

Update 2

This screenshot shows the app mining with GPU's and CPU's.

The lower window does not show the GPU's under the GPU tab.

The CPU's / cores are shown in the CPU tab (this works fine here)

Also, the top window for the rig, it does not show the GPU's, only the CPU cores are shown.
XmRig is a bit special in how it reports the hashrate. It's just a list of devices without any indication which device is a CPU or GPU. Right now all devices ends up on the CPU tab in Awesome Miner, even if some of them actually are GPU's.

One way could be for Awesome Miner to find out how many CPU cores are used for mining and then assume the others are GPU, but there are more than one way you can restrict the CPU core usage for XmRig so it may not be accurate either. The XmRig API response only reports the total number of CPU cores on the system, not the actual number of cores being used.

One solution could be to let Awesome Miner assume that all CPU cores are actually used by XmRig and any remaining mining devices are considered as GPUs - but it will not be a perfect solution.

POST to : http://localhost:17790/api/coin/NEW?name=NewCoin&algorithm=Allium&profit=0.000001

Cant get this to work. Getting 411 error on connection.
Hi,
The URL looks fine. It sounds like a missing HTTP header in the request - maybe Content-Length that should be set to zero. Do you have any example how you construct the HTTP request?

Setting Content-Length to Zero worked  Grin

Add user defined coin with profitability
Similar to the API call to set coin profitability, a new user defined coin can automatically be added if no coin with the specified short name exists. The name and algorithm parameters must be specified  for the coin to be added. If the coin already exists, the name and algorithm parameters will be ignored and only the profitability will be updated.

Hey, can you allow for updation the name of the coin via API, would be a massive help. Thx. Cheesy
Sure - it's very fast for me to add. You can expect it in the next release. Right now the name-parameter is ignored if the coin already exists - I can change so that if it's specified it will be used to update the name.

is there a reason why XYZ ( zcoin) does not show its  profit data  ? how can i fix this
I can see ZCoin (MTP algorithm) in the Coins tab, with relevant profit information. Can you please check if MTP is disabled either globally (Options dialog, Algorithm section) or in the Profit Profile you have selected?

Time time is correct in Windows, but the time shows up differently when a miner disconnects in Notifications.
Awesome Miner uses UTC time internally, but should convert it to your local time once displayed on the Notifications tab. I've not yet been able to reproduce this for the Notifications, where I do see the correct local time in the Time column. Is it the information in the Time column in the Awesome Miner application that incorrectly show the UTC time?

can confirm time issue, i have done a benchmark and the date stamp for test was set incorrectly. Less then my system time:
This is a bug I was able to reproduce and correct. The benchmark showed the UTC date, so depending on your timezone and the time of the day, it could be incorrect by one day. Thanks for finding it.

Hi. Can you please explain this a bit more. Is it about a setting in Windows or something in Awesome Miner?
