941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried found guilty on: November 05, 2023, 06:23:25 AM
And for almost a year all I could hear on this forum was
...
Well, some of us were trying to be reasonable amidst all those conspiracy theorists. The moment his ex -gf got a deal and ratted him out, it was pretty obvious how this will end up.

I wonder what the next move of the nay-sayers will be because god forbid we would have an instance where the system works.
As you can see, now they move goalpost to SBF getting only few years in prison.

Agreed. We can only react after new information is given and reported to the community very much similar to when a speculation that FTX was going to bite the dust. In the beginning, only very few expected that it would really bite the dust. However, after new information came out, it became clearer. It is very much a similar reaction in this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5419386.0

Also, I am one of those who speculate that Sam might get only a few years in prison or end in suicide like Jeffery Epstein. However, is this moving the goal post? No, it is only a speculation that Sam might have too much information on the Democrats' moneylaundering apparatus. The Democrats might have to help him or kill him.

942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: November 05, 2023, 06:07:20 AM
@electronicash. This Barbie movie is only trying to have a meaningful message, however, @Saint-loup is right. This movie is only a big commercial for a toy company very much similar to many other of these common cartoon shows.

In any case, on your question on which story usually win an Oscar in best movie category, you only need to look at the 5 last best movies. Everything Everywhere, Coda, Nomadland, Parasite and Greenbook. They are stories about family, growing up, being connected, perseverance and friendship. All of them are inspirational movies except for Parasite.

The favorite Oppenheimer is not very inspirational, I reckon.

@owengtam09, @YuginKadoya. It appears these Scandanavian Vikings should not be underestimated hehehe. They are the most strongest and they are almost unbreakable warriors in the history of human beings. The Brazilians live in sunny areas of the world where there is animals to be hunted, fish and fruits everywhere. Their life is easy. The people of Denmark, Sweden and Norway were people who sailed on their ships to invade other villages to get food because food is not very abundant.

I reckon the Brazilian was the biggest favorite for this event against the Viking warrior? I shake my head hehehe. We should never underestimate any human if they have Vinking's blood flowing in their veins.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 05, 2023, 04:47:15 AM
Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles will certainly be a very good game! @everyone, what would be your bets for this if you were forced to bet the winner. I reckon the Cowboys should not be underestimated and this is also is this the first time for Dak Prescott vs. Jalen Hurts to play against each other?

The defenses of both of these teams are also very good, however, the Eagles' defense is moderately better. I might put Tony Pollard on the bench hehehee.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried found guilty on: November 04, 2023, 06:32:38 AM
And for almost a year all I could hear on this forum was

- he is never going to be found guilty
- he will never be arrested
- he will never be sentenced to anything
- in the US nobody with money goes to jail
- he will spend all his life in luxury without a worry

Not to mention the real tinfoil things like he bribed the democrats, he bought the republican, he's the SEC pet, he is protected by the reptilians, by the Rothschilds, by the 13 inbred families of the Illuminati!

I wonder what the next move of the nay-sayers will be because god forbid we would have an instance where the system works.

Is that true? I have never read anything that says what you have said. No one was talking about the case except a few people. Also, I reckon none of the people in the forum has really followed the case very closely as @Rikafip, @JuanJayGee and the other people in [Updated] FTX thread.

946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: November 04, 2023, 05:32:24 AM
I think that Oppenheimer will win all the Oscars in the categories where it has nominations.
Not because it's a great movie(it is pretty good, but I'm not that impressed), but because we live in the constant thread of a World War III right now. The USA tested nuclear weapons. Russia will get out of the treaty, which reduced nuclear weapon testing. There's is tension in the Middle East. Israel and Iran probably have nuclear weapons. Hollywood became totally political in the last few years and I don't believe that anything will change. The only good thing is that there won't be that much liberal propaganda this year(at least I hope so).

Similar to what I have said before, this is not a certainty. Oppenheimer was not a very inspiring movie and if you have noticed, the members of the Academy of motion picture arts and sciences have more voted for movies like Green Book, Coda and Everything Everywhere for the best movie which were positive and inspiring. The favorites against those movies did not win.

I have not yet watched much of the movies that have a chance to be nominated to make a recommendation which movies are inspiring.

Other important dates before the Oscar Awards.

January 7, 2024, Golden Globe Awards
February 10, 2024, Directors Guild
February 24, 2024, Screen Actors Guild

@Saint-loup. I am quite certain that it will not be nominated.

@electronicash. The oddsmakers might only be guessing because they have the most popular directors. However, I reckon Napoleon might be very underestimated. It is directed by Ridely Scott and has Joaquin Phoenix as leading actor. They worked together on the movie The Gladiator which has won best picture, best director for Ridley and best supporting actor for Joaquin Phoenix. If this movie inspires, this might be the underdog winner hehhehe.
947  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Prosecution to use Caroline Ellison notes as evidence against SBF on: November 04, 2023, 05:17:33 AM
@sokani. I have always assumed that the time between the verdict and the sentence for the defendant to be given time to make an appeal because what if the defendant is really innocent? I am not telling you that Sam Bankrupt-Fraud is innocent, however, there certainly are people who were wrongfully given the guilty verdict.

Another reason might be to give the defendant time to prepare. Similar to Sam, he will be going in for 110 years. I reckon it is fair to give him his time for preparation.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 04, 2023, 04:35:27 AM
I voted for "I don't know" for lack of a more accurate choice that represents what I think. I think the price will tend to go slightly up in the month, but I don't think it will be exaggerated and I doubt if we will have a small dip in December. After so much time of bear market it is normal that people feel bullish at the slightest joy but if we see what happened in previous cycles the pre-halving months there is a rise, followed by a small fall to enter the bull run proper after the halving. History does not have to repeat itself but it is better to keep it in mind.

That is a unsurprising reaction there considering that for many, it is still in the stage of disbelief. However, on what price should bitcoin pump before you consider this market to in a bull market? You will wait for another all time high to be sure?

In any case, it appears that there will be more pumps coming to the market hehe. Tether has printed more USDT for almost $1 billion of inflows.

TETHER PRINTER
Just printed $997,989,246 USDT!

I reckon this will have a positive effect on the market because it is closing a bad chapter of a story and it starts a new chapter where we can have a new beginning, where we can find new hope and where we might witness a new pump heheheh.
Even though its definitely a good news, I don't expect it to have any infleunce on the market whatsoever.

@Rikafip. You are correct. It was all or nothing hehehe.
You see? You worried for no reason that he will end up getting acquitted or getting some kind of deal. The moment his cloests allies ratted him out it was obvious that he is not getting away with is and now the only question is how many years he gonna spend in jail.

Maybe some crypto gambling site active here on bitcointalk should sponsor jail sentence prediction topic?  Grin

Hehehe, yes but you should have noticed that I watch a lot of movies and my love for them. I wanted action, drama, mystery and also some comedy for Sam's case. However, reality has shown again to be boring hehe. It might have been different if it was streamed on video.

Also, speaking of movies, it will be the Oscars betting season! I have created the thread already. We need your knowledge and analysis hehehe.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 03, 2023, 04:37:47 AM
I am quite certain that this will be another losing week for me again hehe. However, did anyone watch the game? Does Will Levis really deserve to receive only 8 fantasy points for this week? I reckon he did more for the Titans than this 8 points.

He might also be a good replacement for Tua in the Dolphins because he likes to throw the ball very far. This will be good for Mike McDaniel's style. They also have a much better offensive line and wide receivers
951  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 03, 2023, 03:33:20 AM
When too many people are bullish that is not a good thing.

@adaseb. However, it might also be a question if your analysis has you included with the people who are in the stage of disbelief heehhe.

952  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Prosecution to use Caroline Ellison notes as evidence against SBF on: November 03, 2023, 02:35:57 AM
@zasad@. Sam is found guilty of all charges.

In any case, Sam Tabasco was liquidated and retired on his yacht with more money held than all of the executives from Alameda and FTX. Caroline and Wang might get a slap on the wrist and a jackpot of cryptocoins held in hidden wallets. Sam goes to prison quietly for 110 years without Adderall and the politicians who laundered their money in FTX can relax hehe.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: November 03, 2023, 01:46:27 AM
News update.

According to this article Standard Chartered backed Zodia Custody, an institutional custodian for cryptocoins, tokens and assets has entered the Hong Kong market. It appears that we might have more of these types of news from Hong Kong and also maybe Shanghai hehehe.

Inflows from China will be bullish.

Crypto custody solution Zodia Custody, partly owned by the UK multinational banking institution Standard Chartered, is expanding its services to Hong Hong Kong as part of its latest push into the Asian market.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong continues to serve as a major attraction for crypto companies looking to set up businesses in a cryptocurrency-friendly environment.

News update. Sam Bankrupt-Fraud is found guilty for defrauding FTX customers by the trial's jury.

I reckon this will have a positive effect on the market because it is closing a bad chapter of a story and it starts a new chapter where we can have a new beginning, where we can find new hope and where we might witness a new pump heheheh.

A jury has found Sam Bankman-Fried guilty of all seven criminal counts against him. The former FTX CEO faces a maximum sentence of 115 years in prison.

@Rikafip. You are correct. It was all or nothing hehehe.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent market manipulation shows the enormous potential to reach the moon! on: October 31, 2023, 04:07:24 AM
@lombok. On October 16 and 23, we have witnessed 2 pumps that have liquidated short sellers. On some news reports and new discovered information, it is speculated that Blackrock has begun buying bitcoin to seed their ETF. October 16 and 23 are Mondays. Tomorrow, October 30, is also a Monday.

We might witness another market pump and liquidate traders who are short selling on $35k? This will cause a liquidity cascade to $37k, I reckon.

All of this could happen in the Bitcoin market. Especially if the war gets hotter, I'm sure there will be a lot of money flowing into Gold and Bitcoin of course. I won't comment much on what price Bitcoin will reach, but Bitcoin will definitely continue to rise.

It would be good for blackrock if they started buying and holding BTC, we know that Blackrock is very impressive when it comes to investments, and there is no doubt about that. The fake ETF news regarding the SEC's acceptance of ETFs from Blackrock alone is able to excite the market, especially if it is true.

The pump did not occur, however. We might need to wait for this next Monday ehehe. Also, if there is war, speculative assets similar to bitcoin might experience some inflows of investment but it might not be inflows as big as we will witness in gold. Gold and precious metals are the only assets that have always been considered real safe haven assets. Bitcoin has not proven itself for this.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: October 31, 2023, 02:03:05 AM
@STT. It might also be they do not care because they have already made much money for their needs, wants and for their retirement. The price pumping to another all time high will only be something similar to a bonus hehehe.

In any case, what does everyone think of this speculation? I only found this on social media.

957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 30, 2023, 05:18:20 AM
Similar to when the 49ers found Brock Purdy, it appears the Titans have found Will Levis as a replacement for Ryan Tannenhill. Can everyone not get him from the waiver wire and give me a chance to get him?
958  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: October 30, 2023, 04:12:18 AM
@Rikafip. They might be seeding the information of Adderall addiction presently and use this later. It will be one of their options of escape if their all or nothing tactic does not work hehehe.

On being a whistleblower, I am speculating more on exposing information about FTX's role as the moneylaundering apparatus of the Democrats.
959  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Error or scam with Bitcoin ETF news? on: October 30, 2023, 03:10:26 AM
@zasad@. Uncle Gary declines to outline their roadmap for approval, however, we can be quite certain that because of political connections and maybe bribery, Blackrock's ETF application will be approved first on iShares' final scheduled deadline on March 15, 2024. This is 2 months before the halving and this will be very good timing to begin the institutional pump to the new all time bitcoin high on 2025 or 2026.

Bribery is in third world countries, but in America it is lobbying for interests Grin
I always try to think not like the crowd. If the spot ETF is approved in the next 2-3 months, then the price of Bitcoin may rise. I will sell my bitcoins. In this scenario, I will see a manipulation that they want to feed the hamsters with bitcoins, and then there will be a dump in the price of bitcoin and a transfer of liquidity into altcoins.
But if the spot ETF is approved close to the halving, then my scenario is wrong.

Bribery will take different forms, however, corruption will always stay in politics. How do you think the corporate interests get what they want if lobbying does not work? How do they pressure politicians and bureaucrats to do their bidding? Why do you also think there are powerful people who have politicians and judges in their pockets like nickles and dimes?
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Crypto Execs Confident SEC Will Approve Spot Bitcoin ETFs on: October 30, 2023, 02:32:16 AM
@Lucius. It certainly is similar to other hedge funds and investment firms in traditional finance. They are dumping everything on retail investors because the whole traditional market is beginning to enter a bear market hehehhe.

Also, maybe they need the cashflow and liquidity to follow Blackrock's bet on bitcoin. Are we beginning to witness crypto as a safe haven or is this only market manipulation.
