961  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why did Macron arrest Eric Drouet on: January 14, 2019, 10:27:21 AM
One result of this could be the further erosion of the decaying European Union. If the EU collapses, then it will give the bankers a chance to lose the mountain of bad debt that they hold. Do you think this is part of the plan?

I'd say you understimate the stupidity and ego of our grand leader.

Macron first of his name (may the god bless him) is actually believing in his story in my opinion. I think he genuily thinks EU is the solution, complete deregulation and market freedom is good, privatisation is the way to go, growth is the way to fight unemployment...

And he's very very upset that the people are too stupid to see how his vision of the country is the only way to go. He's vexed and angry at the commoners who dare oppose him.

Really I think you give him too much credit for playing 4d chess. Otherwise he wouldn't talk the way he talks. He's beyond arrogant in his speeches and the only result can be people being more and more aggressive toward him.

Do you have a list of rules or policies you're trying to enforce to avoid multi accounting?

Multi accounting is the biggest threat to poker with crypto.
The absence of KYC avoid you to put heavy restriction.
963  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 13, 2019, 08:42:23 PM
For years I've been unhappy with how DefaultTrust ended up as a centralized and largely-untouchable authority...

What is more centralized and untouchable authority than you unilaterally getting to exclude people from default trust no matter how many others trust them?
Says the dude who is all in for private ownership.

That's capitalism for you babe. He built the best crypto forum. He does whatever he wants with it. You can just obey. Cheers.
964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: January 13, 2019, 08:38:47 PM
The best possible way to get gambling strategy is simply the all in

what helps the player is the variance. Anything long means higher probabilities to get on the law of high numbers.

965  Other / Meta / Re: | Irrefutable Evidence that Lauda is running the forum with alts and "bitches" | on: January 12, 2019, 12:30:01 PM
I don't really understand.
I don't like Lauda and don't feel like he/she can be trusted. But that's kind of... Personnal I guess.

But there is some... witch-Lauda hunting around indeed and I don't really see why. Is it still the pseudo/false extorsion attempt at the base of this witch hunt? Maybe it's time to move on no? xD
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker on: January 12, 2019, 11:38:16 AM
First don't use betcoin.ag or Nitrogensport.

Betcoin is a scam who stole jackpots from players
Nitrogensport is a god site but they have 0 policies to prevent multi accounting

I heard of SWC as a good site while not having taken the time to test it myself. But they answered the legitimate questions I had with their policies and seem open and trusted by their community.
967  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling by Staking,EOS and TRON, How do we do it? on: January 12, 2019, 11:32:57 AM
Those coins are not mineable but if you own some EOS or TRON then you can make some extra money by staking them.

When I did the calculation last, it wasn't that much money. I think with TRX you made like 5% a year and that's payable in TRX. So if the underlying value falls, then you might actually lose money.

This is probably what he is asking. Yes you can make money by staking those coins but its a gamble because the value of those coins can fall in the future. You can always hedge EOS or TRX on an exchange but the fees would probably exceed the staking rewards. Hence no free lunch pretty much.

Ok thanks. So that's not at all gambling and the post shouldn't be here

I guess it goes in the altcoins sections?
Maybe the technical one if he wants the detail actions of how to do this?
968  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling by Staking,EOS and TRON, How do we do it? on: January 11, 2019, 04:37:34 PM
I don't even understand your question.

What games are you talking about? Those are both coins, they're not specifically related to gambling as far as I know Oo
969  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 11, 2019, 04:28:56 PM
The categories theymos is referring to are "earnt merit" and "airdropped merit".
Earnt merit is merits you're sent, airdropped is what you were given at the start.

E.g I've earnt >150 merits and was airdropped 1000

Which means that I, for example, couldn't be on DT list until I have 1000 earned merit right? As I don't have enough earned merit compared to my rank right now.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any pvp betting game? on: January 11, 2019, 04:26:25 PM
I would love to play a skilled game

What about betting game simply?

You bet with someone you'll be able to beat him at a game... Then you play the game and see who wins... Seems easy enough to me.

No need for a specific dedicated game.
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 10, 2019, 05:12:39 PM
I'd say we're in for a loooooooong sideway.

At least a year without much action.

Then... After 2020... Well the halving won't so far away... And you know what halving production does to the price right? So I just hope we continue for a year at those prices, letting me enough time to accumulate. And BOOM back at the 100k. That will be nice.
972  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 04:03:36 PM
Correct me if I am wrong here fellas, but if everyone creates their own custom trust lists Default Trust will have little to no meaning....

Correct me if I am wrong here fellas, but that's exactly the goal. To see the DT as a tool for newbies that's all.
973  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 10, 2019, 03:48:40 PM
Ahahahahah

I like it, you don't change by small paces do you?  Grin

Well anyway I think it's more linked to the first idea of Trust system: to build your own.
Anyone can get hacked, anyone can have a sudden change of mind when big coins are on the balance.

This is a good way to clearly state on the whole forum "DT is NOT safe, DT is a tool but you're the one responsible for keeping your trades safe".

Thumbs up.
974  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: January 10, 2019, 02:33:37 PM
Regarding God, I can't be wrong about the existence of God. Why not? The fact that nobody comes even close to proving that God doesn't exist

Damned! Forgot the fact that if you can't prove something doesn't exist then it musts exist.

Do you know someone who has proved the non existence of Odin?
Then Odin must exists.
As well as unicorns, giants, gnomes, valkyries and the other 5225478 gods that have been invented at a moment or another in History.
975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: January 10, 2019, 11:45:47 AM

The age of the earth and universe are scientifically deduced.

Which is exactly the same thing as proven when  you use scientific methology... Unless we have wrong at least one fundamental principle of radiology and physics.
976  Other / Politics & Society / Why is the violence in France completely legitimate? on: January 10, 2019, 10:24:34 AM
Hi everyone.

Tons of people, most of them not from France, are currently pointing out the protests as being horribly too violent and saying the protestors are savages that should be get killed or at least jailed.

This is an understandable point of view from anyone not knowing the country recent history. After all, France has still a quite strong economy and is a free democracy, so violence can seem as people unsatisfied with election results getting violent just because they lost.

So here is the point of view of one of the French violent protestors so you can see why a huge number of people are getting more and more violent.

France is free

This has become completely false. Though it would be crazy to compare France to North Korea, we have seen our rights reduced in a number of ways with the terrorism threat excuses:

-Demonstrations are forbiden unless previously approved by government

-Public gathering are theorically forbidenn unless previously aproved by local authorities (though in practice 90% of local authorities don't apply this rule)

-Free speach has been completely anihilated. We were never the USA in terms of free speach but now anything said directly against government can be punished as "incitation of violence in a crisis context". Not to mention the prosecution of anything seemingly said against any minorities.

-National emergency has been active for... I don't know? 2 or 3 years I think? This means military in the streets, regular check of identity and belongings on a daily basis, and numerous public places forbidden to the public.

-French government has been caught having a shadow militia. People bearing weapons and police uniforms, without being registered anywhere, directly under French president authority and used as political police or to put pressure on elected representants. This is not a joke or an exageration, look for "Benala case" if you want to know more.

France is a democracy

Best lie you can get. Of course France isn't a democracy but a representative democracy, meaning people elect representants and those people have the power. But it got MUCH WORSE in last years:

-There is since 2016 a direct control of justice from French government. President appoints ministry of justice, who appoints the biggest judge in the country. Means that anything that is trouble for French government goes directly in front of this judge who has no choice but to obey the president. That's not an exageration as there is currently a heated trial case that has been transformed in a mocked trial due to presidential influence (just look for "Benala" for more)

-Since 2012, French government has used a dictatorial tool known as "atricle 13" more than 10 times. It means the French government can put any law in action without having to go in front of the chamber first. It's litteraly: the president does this and you can't say anything.

-Numerous of times government has taken decision officialy refused by the people. Referendum on the EU has been simply ignored, laws on economy deregulation refused at 85% by the population has been put through with article 13...

There would be much more to say of course. But I hope you get the general idea that the country has changed a LOT in a short time and NOT in a good way. Every year France is closer to an elective dictatorship and this is really frightening. That's why the protest is mainly about the possibility for the people to directly open a referendum, in order to be able to stop this crazy dictatorial path taken by the various governments.

And there is no way to do it peacefully. How would you force your government to take the people into account if not by force? By election? Impossible as they already rigged the election system after last ones were too close for them... Now we're nearly at a bi party system.

I hope you understand better what the population has gone through and why the hate and wrath are transforming into such a violent protest. This is the only way we have. Unless we bend the knee there is no way they'll stop.
977  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why did Macron arrest Eric Drouet on: January 10, 2019, 10:03:38 AM
Yep. Looks like the protest is over right? xD

How sad you know so little about the happenings in your own nation.

You're delusional. Never said the protest is over, said it was dying. And it is.

Last Saturday we didn't even reach the 50k members while a month ago we were at 135k. Reaching peak value at 250k at the begining of the protests.

How is 50k compared to 250k not a dying movement?

Same goes with support of the population that goes down everyweek, from an overwhelming 80% to a still impressive 55%. How is that not a dying movement?
978  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French Government Prohibits Protesting and Freedom of Speech – Major Crack Down on: January 10, 2019, 09:52:47 AM
You can't expect people to get fucked over and do nothing.

France has been peacefully protesting for decades. The consequences?

-We voted NO on EU referendum, government ignored the result and did it
-We demanded the non privatisation of a number of public companies, they did it
-We demanded the law deregulated the economy and they still did it, using a dictatorship tool known as Article 13 allowing government to do whatever they want

French governments was caught having a private black militia answering to no one, using weapons and having means of pressure on people representatives.

What do you want us to do? Stay calm in the house?

Well congratz that's what's happening. Movement is dying and less and less people care about. But the real solution would be to go to paris and get rid of our government while we still can...

Now that a nationalist force is rioting

Can you please stop saying shit? This movement is completely apolitical and it must stay so. There are communists, monarchists, anarchists, liberals, conservatives, nationalists... All working together to get those fuckers down. Don't bring in some kind of "it's the left" or "it's the right". It's useless and tends to divide fighters when they finally managed to find some common grounds.

I was in the protests and I think it's beautiful when you get a blackblock (strong left) protecting a monarchist while the communist cohalition is fighting of a police charge.
Don't bring division in this. Let the movement remain a symbol of unity for the French people.
979  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 04:36:18 PM
I could give you many such examples. The question is really ridiculous isn't it?

You've made a gigantic leap there from "roads" to "healthcare" and then to "all".

The US healthcare system is a mess BECAUSE of the lock that insurance companies and big providers have on the government. That's a Kapitalist-Socialist system illustrative of the evil that socialistic policy engenders, not the evil of capitalism.

If you want to ignore the institutional changes made possible by crypto coins and micropayments, go ahead.

I'm not.

I'm just finding funny how you point out the evil of socialism while capitalism leads to the same thing...

Capitalism -> Capital gets rewarded -> Wealth gets concentrated at least temporary -> Individuals have the power to influence government and social rules -> your "Kapitalist-Socialist system"

Socialism -> More power to government -> At a point some individuals get most of the power with having selfish interests -> your "Kapitalist-Socialist system"

It's just that you put the blame on some kind of "socialism" while capitalism does the same thing just by another road.

Saying private companies would do better is stupid because the end result is the same.
980  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NPR's Border Fact Check on: January 09, 2019, 04:32:28 PM
Yes, lets pretend again like it is obvious that you are right and I am wrong, then conveniently walk away without replying. I am sure it has nothing to do with a lack of an argument. No, you are just feeling casual I am sure.

Not casual at all.
This is self preservation. You're dangerous for the mental health of anyone with a brain so I don't argue with you. But that doesn't mean I can't pinpoint when you say really ridiculous things. Smiley
