961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK Core v2 & ARK Pay🔹 on: January 03, 2019, 06:36:50 AM
You guys have done a great job with your code and blockchain. I wish we can see some strong collaborations in 2019.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 02, 2019, 09:38:52 PM

Oh that explains the sudden price spike. I guess a selloff is coming after the forks (unless we enter a general bull-market, which is very unlikely yet)
963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: January 02, 2019, 12:33:30 PM
RVN is now out of the TOP 100. Damm.

that doesn't mean anything nowadays and personally I think it doesn't mean at all just look how many bad coins are in top 100 and how many good outside?

many coins are in top 100 just because huge supply ...just for example

Those are top coins by circulating supply and ...I wouldn't exchange 1$worth RVN even for 10$ worth of any of these coin in terms of holding them and possibilities of future development, growth, capabilities etc (just look at 24h volume...)

To be honest coinmarketcap ranking doesn't mean a lot just because its only about one thing ---> Market Cap excluding all the rest

True... the volume is also important because a coin could stay very high if it has not been traded (in theory) since January's peak. So I made a test with interesting results!

I took for example a random coin named "Waltonchain", an unknown coin with rank 76 by market cap which caught my eye because of the very high volume ($2,321,001).
I checked the coin's markets (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/waltonchain/#markets) and I noticed that most of the volume comes from an unknown exchange named "Allbit".
So I visited the exchange's page (https://allbit.com/exchange/WTC) and as it was obvious the coin is traded very thinly and most likely by bots; within 24hours, 8000 coins are repeatingly changing hands at the same price.
Even that fake trading is producing a volume of 8,324$, not 1,000,000$ as reported my CMC!

So yea... just ignore market cap.
Personally I use https://coinlib.io and I have "starred" the coins which I care about and I know that are doing real progress. Then there's an option to see the order by market cap of the starred coins as well as their newsfeed from various media sources.
964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 02, 2019, 10:40:01 AM
Stock market seems to be going red today... Should we expect the cryptocurrencies to continue the fashion of mimicking the stocks' movements?
It doesn't make much sense to me, but I believe we should.

Dear moderator who deleted my previous same post: The purpose of this thread is to inform users of open and closed spots in recognized signature campaigns. Since I received no reasoning as to why my last post was deleted, I just repost it with this disclaimer.

You posted in the ChipMixer campaign thread (probably by accident) which is why.

Ouh! How did I do that?! Huh Yes, it was an accident, I guess I had multiple tabs open. Thanks for letting me know!

Nexybit campaign is open to 2 Member ranks and applications will be accepted for 1 week. Since it'll be open for applications for 1 week, you might don't want to update the table but I post here so that people may take notice.

967  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEW BAKKT game on: December 31, 2018, 08:12:43 PM

It was not "delayed" , it was only "hyped" to be launched sooner than reality... either by a fake leak or by an "accidental leak" (which also turned out to be fake).
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 31, 2018, 02:24:54 PM
Ripple speculation in 2019 ? anyone dares to speculate ?  Cheesy Grin Grin

Against most people's beliefs, there is no bullrun this year and BTC moves around 4000$-6000$ with maybe a short spike to 7000$.
XRP however leaves Ethereum behind and is in close proximity to Bitcoin, that'd make it about 1.70$ - 2.20$.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH back to second place on coinmarketcap and overtake XRP again? on: December 30, 2018, 07:11:35 PM
81% of your votes show that ethereum will be able to return to second place on the marketcap. That is proof that people believe in ethereum more and want it back.

"proof"? 17 out 22 believe Ethereum will, at some point and for some time, overtake XRP again. Maybe they'll go 1% higher than XRP for 6 hours? Maybe 10% higher for 1 year? The poll doesn't say, but 77% believe!!
That's such an undoubtful result! Cheesy
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: December 30, 2018, 06:33:41 PM
I will never forget the massive gains I had with BCO. I will always be grateful.

You mean you short it? Grin
The whole market has gone down by a lot the last weeks and only corrected the last few days, BCO is no exception.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK Core v2 & ARK Pay🔹 on: December 30, 2018, 06:30:45 PM
Ark is a doomed project, they came up with flying colors but when bitcoin was booming they were still dropping in value.

Maybe you are not aware of recent developments it is normal thing if any project is moving forward with normal speed. This project is ready to explode soon the community will get surprised.

I don't think the guy writing this is even knowing for which project they're talking. A newbie account with so many merits in a few days? That's an obvious spammer with multiple accounts.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 29, 2018, 12:39:27 PM
Why is ripple going to diverge Bullish in the next 12 hours?

...

I thought it'd take 14 hours, oh my... thanks for letting us know! Roll Eyes

Jokes aside, I agree with your points, but you can't put a time counter on this!
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 28, 2018, 09:44:11 PM

Claiming XRP is decentralized is like saying Walmart is decentralized it has stores all over the place.
Fact is a single scam operation controls all xrp. 59,237,634,456 still unsold (almost 60%)

XRP is not decentralized, XRP are controlled by Ripple as a central for the business, but even as centralized this project is one of trusted project ever because backed by big banking and finance company in the world

No sorry. Thats not true. Can you back up your opinion why xrp is not decentralized and controlled by ripple? Please dont tell me you have seen it on twitter  Grin you need more than that!

People confuse the notion of centralisation. They think that if 80% of Bitcoin is controlled by 10 people (theoretically speaking), it's decentralised because we DON'T KNOW those 10 people.
However if 80% of XRP is controlled by its developers, then that's centralisation.

Use your freaking brains people, it's the Bitcoin's whales you should be afraid of, not Ripple.
There's a reason why CEO's of companies with huge market caps don't sell their stocks. Ripple won't sell their much cheaper coins for the same reason!
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 28, 2018, 09:37:50 PM
I continue to believe that this coin will be very successful. I believe in this project and it seems to me that ripple can take the second place in terms of capitalization.

I continue to like your posts, they're all 15-20 words only, as if you purposefully keep them that long

They might think that the signature's rules state 20 words EXACTLY? Grin
I also kinda freaked out, thinking that Ethereum might have passed XRP again... but this hasn't happened yet. Well... I've invested in both so I don't care that much, but I believe the top 3 should be BTC and XRP at very close levels and 3rd ETH like 20% lower.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 28, 2018, 08:23:48 PM
YEaH! This Ripple community is alive and well. Discovered a discount of a price, mega gains coming. Getting a bargain now. Hodl this coin, until we reach mars.

You're a greedy one huh? I'm fine with reaching Moon ! Cheesy
I've loaded up my Revolut card with XRP and I hope that next year I'll use some XRP to buy myself a good 1440p, ultra-wide, HDR, 120+ Refresh Rate, Gsync monitor with my XRP.

Though I doubt next year will bring any such good monitor Embarrassed
976  Economy / Speculation / Re: NEW BAKKT game on: December 28, 2018, 02:57:06 PM
I'm sure there are a lot of rich opportunists who are waiting on the sidelines for a bullish announcement like BAKKT in order to pour in money.

As far as this game goes, I'm sure many of these opportunists will sell for 100% profit and that's why I bet on 7550$, about double of what could be the entry point of many.
But as far as the health of Bitcoin's price goes, it will depend on the community's strength. I believe most weak hands have sold and the rest will sell on brake even at about 7500$-8000$ after the investors I've mentioned have already took profit.
After that I predict another bullrun.

So to summarize, my predictions are:
  • BAKKT launches - Price is around 3700$ and it starts going up
  • 2 weeks after BAKKT - Price is at 7500$ and clever people take some profit
  • 2 weeks and 1 day - Price fell 10% and weak hands panic and sell
  • 4 weeks after BAKKT - Price has fallen at around 5000$, selling pressure is over and those who took profit earlier enter again
  • We keep getting higher lows and higher highs for the following few months

... or at least that'd be the scenario of a normal volatility market ...
977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Welcome to PHANTOM - Decentralized blockchain ẔINCS on: December 28, 2018, 11:23:23 AM
You will remember everything what is all about when it goes live and begins trading on couple exchanges. They are doing so hard work and efforts to make it successful. Let's see everything to go a planned it is at 10 days distance now. If they have something to offer then tech will make it place quickly. One positive thing market looks better and better everyday for alternative coins specially.
So, it's going live on the 3rd or something? Have they announced the exchanges it will be going live on or it's going to be OTC trades first. Wanna know if the blockchain's gonna launch with anon/privacy features too or that's gonna be after?

managers are in no hurry to answer this question. they still are not sure of these answers at all.
They still are not sure? Thought they had all the necessary experience to anticipate community demands and would have developed the roadmap to anticipate and meet this demand. Looks like I overestimated a few things

They have announced all we need to know here: https://phantom.org/blog/phantom-chain-launch/
Quote
Now without further wait, we are proud to announce the PHANTOM Blockchain will have its Independence Day on the 4th of January, 2019. What this means is that users will be able to download the Desktop Wallets and/or Mobile Wallets on 1/4/2019 at 00:00 UTC and access the PHANTOM main network along with receiving their forked PHANTOMS (XPH) in their respective wallets. This is when the genesis block will be forged and XPH will be received.
We have moved our PHANTOM Delegates website due to the issues with creating posts to: https://phantom.org/delegates which the previous domain will forward too. This portal will be open by December 24th. Proposals may be posted there and viewed by the community to vote for delegates they believe will secure the network.
To start, the PHANTOM network will be in a beta mode until block 208,000. By that time the community has sufficient time (approximately 20 days) to vote their delegates in to secure the network. During this time there will no rewards for delegates for mining (forging) blocks.

All the dates are there.
If what you're disappointed with is not the date they're going live but if they'll be listed in an exchange, then you shouldn't be.
People who are eager for a day-1 exchange only care to sell their free tokens for which they did not work. Why would the dev team care about those who are unwilling to become their customers?
It's much better if they first finish some of their goals and have a working product. Then when they open the "doors" of exchanges the price won't collapse in 1 day.
978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All bankers hate BTC, am I right? on: December 28, 2018, 10:55:55 AM
At the state Bitcoin is right now, I'm sure they love it!

The relative low market capitalization allows rich people like bankers to make money out of price and media manipulation, taking advantage of those 15 years old who think Bitcoin is here to make them billionaires with 0 work.
But when/if Bitcoin brake free of their control and becomes too widely used, the fees they'll lose from all kind of transactions and the small bank accounts will make bankers Bitcoin enemies. That is something I'm afraid of to be honest since they surely have big control over the system.

Alright, I've updated my signature!

You might want to replace Maricel2017 who has done 12 posts the last 4 weeks.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK Core v2 & ARK Pay🔹 on: December 28, 2018, 10:22:39 AM
I'm replying for the sake of everyone new in ARK who might read Thenextking's post, otherwise I wouldn't be eager to feed the troll.

This is their blog : https://blog.ark.io/ , just look at how often they're posting
This is their roadmap : https://ark.io/roadmap , just look at how packed it is (and they are actually hitting their milestones in time)

They are also active in their forums and in Github.
They might (or might not, I don't know) have taken a short brake because it's Christmas but overall I'd dare say they might be the most active altcoin team out there!
