961  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should be sleeping right now, got a job interview tomorrow on: January 24, 2024, 06:18:32 PM
Thanks!

I doubt I'll get enough sleep, getting this job would be life changing as I'd be making enough money, for the first time in my life. All from a single source of income.

I was planning on getting a full 7 hours of sleep but that flew out the window. Even if I don't get this I can get it in the future, and there's other jobs. If not for sleep I'll at least get rest.

I had an interview a few weeks back and I ended up only sleeping about 2 hours the night before. The interview went well but I didn't get the job. Might have been a blessing in disguise because the drive was extra super long.

If I don't get this job, I might be able to get one that pays less but still enough. I really want a job that's more stable and that allows me to save enough for retirement.

4 hours left in which to sleep.
12 hours has passed and what happened with the interview? If you're able to get it, congratulations but if not, that's fine.

As you've said, you can still try again in the future and what matters now is that you'll be able to get one soon and don't forget to get some enough rest and sleep.

Whether with job interview or none, we should be getting enough sleep as this is the best me time that we can ever have.
962  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should be sleeping right now, got a job interview tomorrow on: January 24, 2024, 06:02:27 AM
Good luck.

We know how important to have enough sleep when we've got interviews. Maybe you can handle even if you'll be lacking of sleep. But at what time is your interview?

Maybe a few hours of sleep will still be enough but then based on your situation and as you've posted this thread, you'll be having not enough.

Sleep brother.
963  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you open large files? on: January 23, 2024, 11:46:17 PM
Notepad++

Maybe that will work for opening it. How did that text file became that huge? Did you just downloaded it or it's fully loaded with codes and it's being required for you to open it?

Try also some command lines if you are good at it. I don't know a lot from the CL but maybe could be good enough to give it a try.
964  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does Mica Regulation only apply to stock exchanges? on: January 23, 2024, 11:07:40 PM
If you mean by this --> https://www.esma.europa.eu/esmas-activities/digital-finance-and-innovation/markets-crypto-assets-regulation-mica

It's better to read the entire thing since I am not from that region but it is for sure going to help you out understand that rule if you're from EU.

That is mainly tackling for the markets in the EU so, if someone as well understands that rule better and replies here to educate much better.
965  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Actionable steps to be 10x better than you're on: January 23, 2024, 06:55:38 PM
If someone isn't doing good in life, it's true that you need to fix yourself first before anyone else. There will be no people that's going to fix it for you and that's why it is a must that you have to do it for yourself.

That's the best step and action that you gotta do but I don't know what's the connection of it in trading when it's all about self development.

But I guess it's about the control that you have to do.

Trading and situation sometimes is not easily to have a worst life or bad life and you go into trading you may not do well because whenever you keep flashing to condition you find yourself it automatically affects your mental thinking causing you to lose concentration while trading. Before one could engage himself into trading such person must entirely neutral in terms of thinking about life situation and condition, with this you can be successful in trading but must people do join situation of life and trading and ends up becoming a failure because they might feels trading is a get rich scheme without knowing their capital depends on their profits to get while trading.
You're right.

And for that reason, it is only showing that fixing yourself is important for you to get focused. While people might say that trading requires focus and time.

You can't do that if you're not at your best shape. It is not a requirement to be at your best shape at most times but it is going to help you think better and do better when you trade.

As you have said, the situation will be easier if you're in a better situation.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Rebound This Week on: January 23, 2024, 05:52:25 PM
According to data from the Coinglass platform, the current open positions in Bitcoin futures contracts have reached $17.582 billion.  CME holds the largest share at $4.769 billion, followed by Binance at $4.151 billion, and Bybit at $3.199 billion.  The substantial open interest across these platforms suggests significant market activity. So will Bitcoin rebound this week?
When most of these futures are going to expire? I am not yet expecting some rebound but if it's like a week or two of slump already then we may see some recovery.

That's possible.

The possibility of seeing it fall below $40k is there and boys, if you haven't bought much then just look at it as an opportunity.

Nothing to expect big especially that nothing to wait this week and bitcoin still continue to dump maybe it will take some time before we can see some good changes to its price and for now maybe this dump is the one will occur.

But we should not fear on this current event happening to it since even if bitcoin is dumping still there are still great events to look forwards by this year so we can still expect that bitcoin price recover so right now I'm monitoring the market to see if there's possible good things to happen and might think about buying some to add my stocks.
We are now at $39k price level and there's a possibilities that we could able to see more dump in next following days.
And it just did fell below $40k and now moving on, think of it that there's another possibility that we may see it go below $35k. So, it's like a pattern that we're seeing and every possibility of what I am saying is always there.

Yeah, no need to feat these slumps and dumping of prices because they're common on this market. If you're new and feared of losing the paper value of your portfolio.

Do not move anything on it and just wait unless you're holding tons of shitcoins, you really have to be scared with that type of portfolio.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 23, 2024, 05:08:23 PM
I am seeing lately a lot of emotional posts on socmed about D'Los transfer. Well, it's painful to see a good player like him to be that much emotional but this is just temporary emotion and he'll get to move on with that soon.

What's important to him is he's at good shape and prove the LAs management that they've traded the wrong guy that have passion for the sport and the team that he's playing with.

Embiid was absolutely a beast in this match.
He's now welcomed to the 70 pointers gang, they're only few on that bracket.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 23, 2024, 04:32:48 PM
actually there is nothing wrong if someone pays what they want with bitcoin as long as the seller is willing to accept the payment which we will do, the same goes for renting a house if the owner of the house doesn't mind everything will be fine
Maybe there will be a risk faced in the matter of Bitcoin prices when we trade
Yes, we're the masters of our bitcoins and if we want to spend them for paying rent or even buying a house which was like a hype news in the past and for sure that it will still be if someone does it, they'll get to publish it on the news.

There's nothing with all of that. The taboo was even broken already about bitcoin is just for illegal transactions when the mainstream adoption has came and that's actually a good progress that we've got now on.

So, you pay rent with bitcoin or fiat as long as you owns it, that doesn't matter at all.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The need to control your emotions as a football fan. on: January 23, 2024, 03:50:41 PM
This happens to every sport when a fan isn't happy with the results, they show disrespect to the officials, coaching staff, athletes and even their co-fans.

When you're too passionate about the sport but you have forgotten your manners. You should set aside the emotion when you are disappointed so that this won't happen at most times.

But even if we'll give some reminders, this can't be stopped from happening.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any good explanation to this dip on: January 23, 2024, 03:03:43 PM
Under $30k is plausible and everything is on this market. While we're not yet passing the halving, things could still be bad for those that don't have much patience.

It's a matter of how long we are going to stay and just ignore all of these dips and whenever these happens, only one thing is for sure and that is there have been a lot of Bitcoins loaded to the market and sold off.

That's how it goes whenever we're going through a bloody week.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Roller Coaster feeling When You Gambling on: January 22, 2024, 09:25:34 PM
It's all good and exciting until there's nothing left. There might be some levels on me as well on what I feel but I guess I'll just express the similarities of it while I can still see the balance as I gamble regardless of how long I've been gambling already.

But you know, everyone expresses the same feeling when we've got nothing left and we're all done for the day and lost it all.
972  Other / Off-topic / Re: Day school or boarding school which is better for your child? on: January 22, 2024, 08:53:53 PM
I didn't went to boarding during my school days and I always travel time to time since school is just close and can easily commute from here and there.

If you think that it's going to teach your child discipline and on how to be independent, you may try to inquire him to a boarding school. It's gonna teach him a lot of things in life but at the same time, as a parent, will you allow and feel good that you're going to let your kid far from you?

That's somehow the challenge as a parent.
973  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a life by Day Trading on: January 22, 2024, 08:15:12 PM
2x leverage is already fine.

I'll choose the lower gains but has lower risk too. Unlike to the high leverage and high potential profits, I may not be able to take that.

It's better to do it with a lower risk and OP has explained well on how to do it as a day trader. So if you are an aspiring day trader, you have a lot of tips already but you'll learn more when you do it in actuality.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 22, 2024, 07:49:59 PM
-snip-
But regardless of how patient you are as well, there's a likely that you'll be winning lesser than what you've come to actually expect.
This is what's being accepted by most of us and each time we bet, we always learn something new.
The expected results will not always be the same, although the amount is less but always grateful to have been able to get a profit, instead of having to get a loss, of course a little profit is better.
Always learn to be patient and learn something new, be satisfied with the results that have been obtained.

Gambling won't always be negative, there's a lot to learn as long as your thoughts and actions are positive.
Right.

Be happy if the first try gets you some profit as it's not expected for majority of the beginners as they try gambling. Always be happy with any amount as long as it's profit.

But then, it doesn't come on a daily basis because the opposite is going to come as its basis. It's True that gambling isn't always negative but it's not always positive too.

I thought that I am reading some reviews website/article with that last question about if it's being helpful.  Grin

Yeah, it's helpful and one has to quit only when he had done everything and his best and nothing seems to happen. Learning will be there no matter how we avoid it at most times.

We learn with so many things in life, everywhere we go so even if you want to quit, you just can't because they'll keep coming.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 21, 2024, 11:45:12 PM
Poor Brooklyn Nets.

They've been stuck with 114 for the rest of 5 minutes remaining in the game and take note, they're on the lead by that time but they ended zero points until the game ends.

But that's LAC for them, whilst them, they've done a 22-0 and won over that 11 points led by the Nets for that remaining time in the 4th quarter.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 21, 2024, 11:17:55 PM
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.
You just enjoy it and that's it.

You don't have to think of anything whether you win or lose, just accept it lightly and what matters is the experience of it having the first time to gamble.

Do not stress yourself thinking on how you should react on your first try. Just go with the flow and don't put too much expectation and pressure to yourself.

Again, enjoy!  Wink

As long as there's money involved and putting it on a bet, you'll always required to be patient. Because if you hurry, it's possible that you can place on the wrong bet.

But regardless of how patient you are as well, there's a likely that you'll be winning lesser than what you've come to actually expect.

This is what's being accepted by most of us and each time we bet, we always learn something new.
