9761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Reminders] TipJar crypto tipping platform shutting down on: October 09, 2019, 08:38:04 PM
Another one taken by the bad market? by competition? or both?

With BAT tipping enabled for redditors to send tips, there's probably no chance for Tipjar to compete.

There are many tipping bots in Reddit, almost every shitcoin has its own.. I don't think it should be hard to make one.
There are even a few tipping bots in telegram
9762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holding will be worth this year or in the long run? on: October 09, 2019, 06:52:53 PM
I found this article on cointelegraph :https://cointelegraph.com/news/nearly-10-billion-in-btc-is-held-in-wallets-of-8-crypto-exchanges. I wonder  if they had the control over the price, they can make a bearish run or even they can wake the bull up? Well for sure there is only one thing to expect it is having a good price in the future. What is your thought if the 10 billion worth of bitcoin will move?

In my opinion, it doesn't matter what exchanges or any other big players do.
Bitcoin movement is upward in long term. I am holding for the next 5-10 years, so there is no problem if we crash now. I can buy more Smiley
9763  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Team needed on: October 08, 2019, 11:50:51 PM
How about providing at least the basic details here, so that 99.9% of people don't have to waste their time contacting you for more information.

That's the hole point, if you don't waste time from time to time THE time will waste you! and I mean you.
Hope you made at last 0.01 cent for replying on this thread.

I don`t think he was writing to earn a few cents.
Your post is more suspicious than his.

What kind of people do you think would PM you to join your team? THere no proof that you even have a project, or an idea (at least). Do you think a good coder would just pm you without even knowing you need a coder?

You could just be trying to scam someone by asking newbies to pm you.

9765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fully Decentralized World is Possible? on: October 08, 2019, 11:39:11 PM
You cannot decentralize all things. Some things makes sense to be decentralized, because they are too public, not private. A currency is an amazing example, and there was none since bitcoin. Maybe gold before?
I believe governments should be more decentralized...

But companies shouldn`t be decentralized, for example. Some times it is good to find the ones responsible for running things.
9766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin is Old school techically? on: October 08, 2019, 04:33:51 PM
I think most of the idea behind this "old bitcoin tech" thing is related to scalability.
There are some shitcoins which are faster, but they  are more centralized
Choosing scalability over decentralization is not a good idea. It's better to just use visa.
9767  Economy / Services / Re: bustadice signature campaign(Full) on: October 07, 2019, 09:08:41 PM
I suspect @yahoo62278 could save his employers a lot of money if he kept a log of the minimum rates each user would accept, particularly paying attention to those sr+ members looking to secure lower tier slots.

I'd say the reason for users willing to accept any pay is because of the longevity of the campaign, at least for me it is. The pay rate is also better than what most campaign tends to offer these days, so why not. I'd rather join $25 per week campaign which is bound(probably) to last for long term, than ~$40-50 paying campaign which would only last for a 2-3 weeks.

Additionally, i think Yahoo is looking for high quality posters, not for random users that accept lower payment rates. After all, the company already decided the amount of money per week they want to spend. The best thing a good manager can do is to choose high quality users to make the best use of that money. Not search for lower quality users because they are cheaper and save money.

Actually, it is the other way around: High pay rates attract better posters to join the campaign, which will have a better reputation to represent the company brand. Which is what matters, in the end: what is the reputation of those people representing your brand.

I am not criticizing in no way people who are willing to accept lower pay rates. I am now in a Sr. Member slot in Yolodice campaign, for the same reasons as mentioned by Harkorede (good pay rates, good management, longevity...). But I don`t think managers should look for that to save money.
9768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: newbie here/ no bitcoins despite confirmations on: October 07, 2019, 08:52:02 PM

Are you sure? I just checked my wallet and Electrum shows all address you have on Addresses Tab along with some receiving and change address in advance after last address which involved in a transaction.

Besides, i don't see any option to show only specific amount of address on Addresses Tab

I don`t know how much address will be show, but certainly just a few. Each derivation path is able to generate millions/billions of addresses.
I just thought that it is safer to use that console function, because he might have generated an address in some weird way and it might not be displaying.
9769  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Accidentally sent USDT (Tether)from etherscan to blockchain.com Ether adress on: October 07, 2019, 08:46:55 PM
sir i don't know where i am missing please see sceneshort
https://ibb.co/tbPNCBZ

You need to send some ETH (gas) to send tokens. You are going to use it to pay for the transaction fees, which cannot be paid in USDT.

Just send 0.0001 Eth to your wallet and you will be able to transfer. (0.00008 minimum, but I think it is safer to send 0.0001 at least)
9770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: newbie here/ no bitcoins despite confirmations on: October 07, 2019, 12:42:03 PM
Users are suggesting that you may have somehow created another wallet.
To be sure you are using the right wallet
Go to view > show console

ismine("12frz1zeVY4yHB4rNpPzBFkfnFqUEGTDBu")

To be sure that address belongs to your wallet.

you know they can do this more easily in the gui with ctrl+f on the addresses tab.

No he can't, because that address tab do not search for more than 10 addresses by default.
9771  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Accidentally sent USDT (Tether)from etherscan to blockchain.com Ether adress on: October 07, 2019, 12:36:23 PM
Is your usdt erc20?
Can you see your address and the usdt in etherscan?

You can easily recover your funds in any ethereum wallet using your 12 words, if you can see the balance in etherscan.

I suggest that you download the metamask extension (chrome or Firefox or brave browser).
Just insert your 12 words and the contract address of usst (which you can see in etherscan)
9772  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Questions/2FA on: October 06, 2019, 05:45:05 PM
Sadly, as you dont have the seed, you have to wait until their support reset the 2fa for you.
Maybe it is faster in bl4nkcode link...

Next time, when you are able to login, just get your recovery seed. With your seed in hands, you don`t need their support for anything else.
9773  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Lowest fee wallet on: October 06, 2019, 05:42:27 PM

But for simple use of sending with controlled fees and securing your funds well for as for BTC which electrum only supported, I still use electrum mobile than coinomi, tho I'm using coinomi for some alts only that is not supported in nano s.

Coinomi is also good for recovering forks. They are very fast in supporting new forks.
Sadly, there are many months since last profitable fork.
9774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REQUEST FOR GAS FEE TO GET PAID ARE SCAM. on: October 05, 2019, 09:53:28 PM
Every person who is requesting money promising to give you more is probably a scammer, and everyone should be alert.

An airdrop which requests gas fee... or a project that request eth to pay for the bounty hunters, or someone who asks "send me 0.1 eth and I will send back 1 eth" or anything like that...

Stay away from anything like that, because probably it is just a scam.
9775  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Partners for CoinMarketCap Alternative Site on: October 05, 2019, 08:44:22 PM
Personally, I see no reason to use other website than CMC (which I trust the prices and rankings)

There is a lot of reason to not use CMC, some of them:
- Market cap is not a really good metric to shows the rank of a given coin, and it did not show the liquidity of the market at the same time.
- They are paid for advertising or for listing the exchange, which sometimes makes the ranks look really awkward as the top 5 are not really good exchange. Take a look at https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ and you can see how absurd it is to rank Vindax in top spot while Binance is nowhere near.
- Some shitcoins are not removed even though it's clear scam.
o

If you think market cap is not a good metric, why make another cmc website? Lol
And it shows liquidity, as you can see the volume of every coin.

I'm a week older than you, but is this the first time you know cryptocurrencies?

?? Don’t understand your question, but I do host a game sometimes that award BTC to who wins the game, if you see BTC and ALT’s as cryptocurrencies then I would say yes I know them .....
Cheesy

migoossens is a fellow from WO and the other boards in Speculation, Trading, etc. The game he is reffering to is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188987.msg52609651#msg52609651 and some others.

You should visit WO sometimes hugeblack, and the Speculation board. It is not a spammy board.

WO thread already helped me a lot, when I was in FOMO, in some hard times when BTC crashed.
9778  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for Partners for CoinMarketCap Alternative Site on: October 05, 2019, 12:42:51 PM
I believe that unless your website shows some innovation, not only a CMC clone, it won't be worth much.

Many news websites already have an integrated marketcap website inside, for example.

Personally, I see no reason to use other website than CMC (which I trust the prices and rankings)
9779  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Guide] Create an Offline Wallet For Bitcoin and Altcoin Only Use 1 Paper on: October 05, 2019, 12:01:01 PM
I think this website is amazing for educational purposes. It is also very good for recovering forks or lost funds through private keys.

If you can really create an airgapped computer, or if you are using just a small amount of funds, you can use it to create a wallet as well, just like  you pointed out. But this isn`t recommended for newbies, and many things can go wrong (a newbie may have difficult following your tutorial or in recovering funds from change, etc)

For high amounts of funds, I think it is safer to use a multi currency wallet. The best option would be a hardware wallet, no doubt.
9780  Other / Meta / Re: "Bitcointalk.org wants to install crypto wallets" on: October 04, 2019, 01:33:43 AM
Are you sure this was on bitcointalk.org? Isn't it bitcointalk.to or some other phishing?
Don't install. Maybe you should move this to meta.
