981  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 16, 2022, 04:22:11 AM
I don't know if perhaps i'm overthinking this, but considering the evolution of money from the beginning of time where different things have served as a medium of exchange and now currently banknotes.

On same trend, we are slowly witnessing the evolution of  money to crypto and i can't help but wonder if crypto is the final stage or there may perhaps be another revolutionary idea to replace crypto as money after crypto has been accepted.

What do you think?
Everything keeps on evolving. I doubt crypto currency is the final stage of the money evolution. As technology advances, probably one day we will see that crypto currencies aren't as secure as they used to be. The whole network might start becoming vulnerable. While that happens, something new might have been created by then which will be much better than crypto currencies and eventually will replace crypto. The same way crypto currencies replaced fiat.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEBATE] Are meme coins ruining cryptocurrencies? on: April 16, 2022, 02:26:04 AM
They aren't ruining anything. They are only ruining the "lives" of the people that are investing in those meme coins hoping to get rich overnight. Even they are aware that they are taking a huge risk and will lose everything, yet they still invest in those scam coins and encourage those scammers to create more shit coins.
There are literally thousands of meme coins and there will be more. Just ignore them. They will die eventually, as usual.
983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 16, 2022, 12:17:43 AM
Which would be better for gambling casinos or sports games?
I've seen both but sports seem a lot easier to me and casinos are hard for me.
  • What do I need to know to play casino?
  • Which is a more profitable casino or sports game?
  • And Which Platform should take as a newbie gambler, casino or sports?

I am guessing you mean the regular games at the casino like Dice and roulette?

1. Nothing. Most of the casinos explain how to play the game. You will find it somewhere around the interface. They are never complicated to play. You place the bet, click a button and two and hope that you get lucky. Most of those games require no skill at all. It all depends on the luck.

2. Both as long as you win. If you are playing casino games, look at the house edge. Lower house edge means better chance of winning.

3. Why not try both? For sports, you might need to know about the team, performance, stats and other stuffs. Well, you don't even need to know those. Just look at the odds and place you bets. Higher payout probably means that team has a high chance of losing (gamble at your own risk. Do your own research!).
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I smell inside job on: April 15, 2022, 11:53:17 PM
It looks like Shiba inu is the biggest Ponzi scheme of them all, if not why look like it? Whales kept buying billions and billions of Shiba inu tokens since last week like they heard a rumour or something and now Shiba listed on the Robinhood exchange then the price starts going down, tell me this is not an inside job.
Where did you read that whales were buying billions and billions of tokens before the listing? The rumor about Shib getting listed on Robin hood was around for ages. Nothing new. And where did you read or see that the price started to go down after the listing? As far as I know it went up 30% within few hours. And yeah, even if the price dropped, it was expected. They needed to make quick profit. People bought the rumor, and sold the news.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy concern for bitcoin users on: April 15, 2022, 09:58:22 PM
See what KYC has turned to.

Bitstamp asks users to update the source of their crypto, citing regulatory compliance

Bitstamp now requires users to provide info like nationality, place of birth and tax residency, in addition to documents proving the origin of crypto and the annual income.

Major global cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp continues increasing compliance efforts by requesting its users to provide more data like their source of wealth.

Exchanges were demanding for email before. From email to basic KYC requirements like name and home address. Exchanges with the excuse of compliance with anti money laundering policies and international regulation still go further to demand for more identities like drivers license, national Id card or international passport. The time may come when more countries will demand for registering of noncustodial addresses own by their exchange users. Now they are demanding to know the businesses their customers are making money from.

If all these information are leaked to hackers, this will be another big problem. Centralized exchanges looking for more ways to make hackers know more about people and this can be harmful.
If you are going to use a centralized exchange, you will have to comply with their rules. You don't have any other options. I guess all most all centralized exchange according to their terms of service can ask for the source of wealth/funds. They just don't do it very often because they know it is going to be a big hassle for them and their users.
Bitstamp probably wants to play safe or something. Anyway, it is inevitable. You eventually will have to provide all those information sooner or later.
986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: buy my home with bitcoin on: April 15, 2022, 03:46:56 AM
i want to sell my property for bitcoin..
is there anyone here who buys property with bitcoin??

Yeah, I doubt anyone is going to buy a property from a random person on the internet. If you really want to sell it here (which might take forever), create a proper thread and give more details. But you are better off selling on some other platforms. I think there are sites where you can sell your house for bitcoin.
Or why not just sell it for fiat currency and then later buy bitcoin? Keep some fiat money with you. Don't go all in, unless you really want to.
987  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and investment on: April 15, 2022, 03:09:59 AM
We all know that almost the entire world is currently experiencing variable inflation, and my country is no exception. Almost all goods prices have gone up, financial stability has been disrupted and most of us have had to incur additional costs to pay our bills due to rising tariffs and taxes.

At the same time I am still thinking about investing even though I am really having a hard time achieving financial stability at the moment. If previously I could save 50% of my total income for investment then for now only 25% seems difficult. If you are also experiencing this condition, then I have a few questions to answer.

  • Will you continue to invest even if it is only 10%-20% of your total monthly income?
  • How do you achieve financial stability during this inflation?

Share some of your thoughts, I think it would be good to consider especially as long as this kind of condition persists for a long time.
1. Yes, why wouldn't I? 10%-20% seems to be ideal. As long as you aren't investing in some shitcoins, you should be fine. Even better if you are investing in bitcoin or other well known top altcoins like Ethereum.

2.Through holding different assets such as crypto currencies instead of holding the fiat currency that will eventually have no value.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 15, 2022, 03:00:47 AM
Dead or not, they are waste of time. Most of the bounty program either scam their participants or pay them peanuts. It used to be profitable back then when ICOs were very popular. The hype died and so did those bounty programs.
Where has all the quality crowd gone?
They realized that it is no longer profitable to join bounty programs. The "quality" crowds are now doing something more better while the bots and crappy users are still joining the bounty program and spamming everywhere.
989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Watching Our Kids From Something That Could Dangerous To Them on: April 15, 2022, 02:57:45 AM
Some time ago I visited my friend's house. We talked about many things because we had not seen each other for a long time. Besides us telling stories, he accompanied his son, who was already a teenager. His son is playing games on his cell phone and I got a glimpse of what games he played and he seems to be playing games he shouldn't be playing.

Then I asked my best friend how she watched her grown children. He replied that his children were able to choose what was good and bad for them and he just needed to say that playing games are okay as long as he doesn't lose track of time.

Then I asked again if the kids installed games they weren't supposed to play (but I didn't say the kids were playing those games). She replied that she sometimes checks her children's cell phones and asks what they are playing and that a parent should ask their child.

From here, I then asked myself, is that what we should do for our children, giving them the freedom to install whatever they want. Then there is another thing that sticks in my mind: if they want to buy something in the game because this type of game allows players to get rare items at low prices. They can ask for the money from their parents to buy that item.

Then, I also thought if this could cause symptoms of addiction to continue playing the game and later it could be accidentally, they see adult content such as pornography or gambling or others easily. The role of parents who give freedom to their children in using cellphones does not seem to be felt by those who are starting to grow up. I see that a teenager has started to be equipped with a smartphone.

What do you think about the situation above? Do you have any such situations like me before?
It is the responsibility of the parents to know what their kids are doing doing online. They should monitor their internet activity. Yes, they can give them freedom to do what they what and choose what they desire, but that doesn't mean the parents shouldn't stop them from doing something wrong.
Giving freedom doesn't mean the parents should no longer keep an eye on their children. It means they can let their children do whatever they want, but if they do something wrong, the parents should come forward, stop them and explain it to them why it is wrong.
990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Fails ? on: April 15, 2022, 02:31:55 AM
You mean if crypto currencies fail, because there are also other crypto currencies that can achieve the same (privacy, decentralization and all those stuffs). But yeah, if bitcoin fails, the whole crypto market will fail, hence all the points you states automatically becomes valid.
Bit confused, what Bitcoin has to do with energy? I mean the transition of energy you are talking about.
Bitcoin will not fail. It is a very young currency, and many new features are being built into it that makes it better than ever. Just like the internet is the underlying technology that powers the entire internet, the blockchain is the underlying technology that powers bitcoin. Other forms of digital currency are being built on the blockchain. All of these will continue to grow and expand and become more widespread. The blockchain, unrestricted by being tied to any one digital currency, will continue to grow as well.
Lol what new features are being built? Most of the things you said doesn't make any sense or you are contradicting your own self.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: April 15, 2022, 01:28:16 AM
Yep, it will come sooner or later. People have been waiting for the Robinhood listing and the price to pump. Even though it didn't rise as much as people were expecting, still 30% profit is a lot. They will hold a little longer and see if the price goes up any further or not. Eventually they will lose patience and dump their holdings to take as much as profit they can and reinvest later at lower price.
Shiba Inu now completely listed in Robinhood. The Shiba Inu is very good coin & this coin future is very bright. I hope shiba inu holders go to the moon very soon!
Why is it a good coin? Because it will go to moon? Just because you invested in SHIB doesn't mean it is a good coin.
992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: April 14, 2022, 02:21:56 AM
There are many mistakes we make in crypto trading, crypto newbies as well as those that's been into crypto for a while often make this same mistake.
However, allowing yourself to make too many mistakes in your cryptocurrency trading journey can end up being a source of discouragement, as we all know, the market does not forgive even an honest mistake, and even the smallest mistakes turn out to be very expensive at times, so it is advisable we always advice ourselves, do a proper research before making important decisions, don't depend solely on market signals, it is true that many have made a fortune through market signal, but also alot more have lost everything through it as well.

Few tips I feel will help us to avoid some of the mistakes we make or are likely to make in our cryptocurrency trading journey are - but not limited to -

  • Going all in- it a very bad habit, never ever put all your eggs in one basket. it's a popular saying.
  • Crypto is not a get-rich-quick scheme- so seeing it as one is a big error and can lead to a lot of other mistakes and loses.
  • Purchasing a coin mainly because it's price is low- many people avoid buying coins like bitcoin, Ethereum, bnb because they feel the price is already too high, so they opt for Shiba inu kind of coins which give them billions of coin for a dollar, only for the developers to abandon the project after few months, and they end up loosing their money- don't do this, it's a very bad habit, and the result of making this kind of mistake can be very expensive most times.
  • Being a victim to scam/con artists- Avoid this at all cost, you can achieve this by educating and enlightening yourself, "when you know what they know, or even more than they know, they won't be able deceive you", its that simple.
  • Using other people's market signal to trade- doing this saves you alot of time and also makes trading very easy -, but remember, "good things don't come easy, if it does, then it comes a child's play", learn to do your own research, analyze the market, technical and fundamental analysis, learn everything you need to be your own boss in your crypto trading.
  • Making use of exchanges with high transaction/withdrawal fees - you don't wanna make all those profits and at the end of the day, loose it all to the exchange due to their exorbitant fees, be it in whatever form "trading fees, withdrawal fees, some exchanges even charge deposit fees", avoid this kind of exchanges, they are the number one joy killers in trading.

The list above is derived solely from my own personal observations and experiences, feel free do add yours.
1. You can go all in as long as you can afford to lose. You can put all your eggs in one based if it is Bitcoin. You won't regret and it is the safest of all options.

2. Unfortunately some people see it as a get rich quick scheme, invest in shitcoins, loses everything and then starts crying.

3. Yep, you are right. People should be looking at the supply and the marketcap, not at the price of the coins.

4. No matter how much you warn people, they will still fall  for those obvious stupid scam due to greed.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banking bitcoins will be work on: April 13, 2022, 03:24:26 AM
Nowadays bitcoin is connected with banking process. If bank not available. People can't change Bitcoin. So coming future it possible for changing this process. Kindly any one explain me. I need to know. Kindly support and give your adivoce. Nowadays banking is connected all country people and change the all country's currency.
You probably don't even know how bitcoin or most of the crypto currencies work. You should start googling and learn about the basics of crypto currencies. I haven't heard that bitcoin is being connected with banking process. Even if it is, you don't have to use the currencies centralized way. If you do use "the centralized way", then yes, you won't have access to your coins the their services is unavailable.
If you decide to use bitcoin and not store your currencies in centralized exchange or institution, then you will always have access to your coins. You can sell them whenever you want through P2P trading.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no simple service for HODLing Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 02:58:04 AM
Hi exhodlers,

I know many of you wish not selling early your BTC. This is very common story, I wish I hadn’t sell my bitcoins for cheap X years ago. Now it would be worth Y millions of dollars. I have idea for new coin/token:

We create smart contract for HODLing bitcoin for 5 years (that’s rough number, could be anything). For users who send their BTC to the smart contract, some new token or coin would be given. Tokens have their tokenomics, the whole thing is DAO with voting, stakings, farmings etc. For HODLers NFTs can be generated to create community thing.

Anyone interested in participating the project? Call it HodlCoin
Lol, after selling when the price would be Y million of dollars, you would be saying the same. "I wish I hadn't sold because it would have been Y billions of dollar". We don't need another useless project where your coins will be locked. If you are investing, then you should be able to do hold and do everything on your own instead of relying on something or something else. The project you are talking about has a lot of risks. Imagine people locking thousands of BTC and then the developers stealing them all.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we just going around in circles? on: April 12, 2022, 08:59:37 PM
Yep, you are correct. A hype will rise, people will go crazy, the hype dies, so does the price. A new hype rises, people again goes crazy and then the same thing repeats. A new hype will always be formed and then eventually die. That is why you should never invest because of a hype. You can, but the risk is high and you should know when to exit to take advantage of the hype. As long as you don't FOMO and you know what you are doing, you will be fine. But if you are willing to take less risk, invest in coins that are already well developed and has been known for years.
996  Economy / Gambling / Re: Video Course of BlackJack for people who want to learn BlackJack on: April 07, 2022, 12:36:22 AM
Not really. I never actually watched any gambling videos. Maybe because I don't gamble much. or maybe because I think gambling depends mostly on luck and no strategies or tricks are going to change your luck. Yeah, with card games, maybe a little skill, but in the end it all depends on your luck.
If those videos or strategies worked very well, everyone would be watching those videos, get rich while casinos go bankrupt.
997  Other / Off-topic / Re: An Unforgettable Day In my Crypto world on: April 06, 2022, 10:03:58 PM
You should have only invested money that you would have been able to lose. Well, it is not like you made a huge loss. You only lost your profit and I am sure, you were still able to make a lot of profit since your coins were from 2013! Maybe you couldn't maximize your profit, but still you made something. You had to sell it because you had no other option. So instead of regretting, be happy that you were able to sell your coins and clear your debts. Now start investing once again as much as you can.

During 2024,no one think bitcoin price crossed 60k dollars, but it was happened.
Are you from the future?

998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 05, 2022, 11:13:45 PM
Imagine a world without bitcoin? You mean the world it is right now? You are making it sound like bitcoin is a mainstream currency and we can't live without bitcoin. Go to the street and ask people what bitcoin is. Most of them will say they heard about it but doesn't actually know what bitcoin is. All they know is it is some sort of currency and "people use it to do bad things" because of how the media spreads FUD. We can live in a world without bitcoin using fiat currency like we all are right now.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: April 05, 2022, 11:04:50 PM
You said it yourself. You think that NFT tokens are mainly based on hype. So yeah, once the hype is over, the price will crash. So your NFT tokes are good only for short term with huge risks involved. I doubt there are any NFT tokens that are good for long term investment, but who knows. The whole crypto market is unpredictable and can go crazy any moment.
If you are looking for good long term investment, then just invest in bitcoin or maybe ethereum. Hold them without worrying much about anything.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 05, 2022, 10:51:31 PM
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins
I guess you are talking about projects on Binance chain. Most of them are shit projects. Like literally 90% of the scam coin and shitcoins are made on Binance smart chain.
If you still want to invest in "some good project", google, do your own research and then invest instead of asking people here and receiving biased answers.

The best thing to do is sell your BNB and invest it on bitcoin. Hold it for long term and you won't be regretting at all.
