Once again we have idiots calling upon other idiots to support larger blocks.
Who is that idiot in your Avatar?

I would not be surprised if another attack occurred. However, the recommended fee is still higher than usual.
Looks like the attacker ran out of money, and probably ended up at net loss, next time they should think twice before attacking bitcoin. The recommended fee is an average, so it needs more datapoints until it smoothens out and gets lowered. I can now send a small transaction with 10k satoshi again so it should be ok. The crazy cap is the reason why the network can be attacked without much money. With segwit it will be worse. https://bitco.in/forum/threads/gold-collapsing-bitcoin-up.16/page-394#post-13744

Wow now there are only 4000 transactions. Ok guys now the thread can be closed! Yes, another wave of adoption stopped and transferred to the alt market cap. Great job.

I think SegWit is a good idea. It will have an effect and will bring bitcoin forward even in the future. It will cut down the space needed for transactions for a certain amount. Regardless of the amount of transactions and current blocksize. So even with 50MB blocks, Segwit might still be able to nearly double the amount. This is a good thing.
There are other benefits that come along with Segwit as well. It is not just about the transaction capacity. Though I doubt that Segwit will be able to solve the situation fast enough. You know yourself that even when Segwit gets implemented today, the effect would only slowly rise to an effect bringing down the situation. And in the meanwhile the situation can always grow higher than our heads.
Actually this is a good thing. Even if we had a 2 MB block size limit today there is no guarantee that the miners would not impose limits of their own. The sudden bump is not needed. Yes, not needed if you want to transfer more market cap to Ethereum every day. Dumb - dumber - core developers.

There's no such thing as "spam transactions"
So per your definition the "stress tests" in the past were not 'spam' but rather legit transactions? Once again, bitcoiner are frustrated with spam transaction on bitcoin network.
Once again you can thank all the people who are behind Classic and BU for this event. What amazes me is the fact that some people claim in public that a larger blocksize will solve the spam problem. Obviously primary school isn't compulsory everywhere in the world. You can easily identify a few which didn't go there by reading this thread. Boah, the Gox Sturle and the Staff Girl. Dream Team.

iCEBREAKER, the more you post, the more my IQ continues to drop. I have a sinking suspicion others feel the same way.
Either he is paid by the big blockists to look the small blockers even more disgusting than they already do, or he is to dumb to realize how ridiculous his war memes/texts/pictures are. Why are iCE and Lauda running censored threads? They have to hide the truth.

Yea yea here we go again with the political philosophy.. In the end you expressed yourselves switching to Classic xt or whatever... such freedom. We all agree not to agree, sounds lika consensus to me. If that is your conception of consensus then I can agree with that. What consensus means as a governance model in the literal sense of the word is that essentially any changes become impossible. If changes require true consensus then change becomes completely impossible since there will always be a few people that disagree, regardless. Not how I perceive the governance of Bitcoin but if that is how you perceive it then I can at least respect the consistence of your believes. Dont worry, shifting consensus will likely be reached if bitcoin's very existence would directly be threaten, as in security wise for example. But coinbase or other mainstream matters are not vital for bitcoin. Sorry (for their loss). You are not vital for Bitcoin. Coinbase is.

no sticky for this? seems so underwhelmeing, i was expecting more enthusiasm for the 0.12, maybe still not officially released?
Update: Blockstream/PWC/Core 0.12.0 Ruin By Fee Release now with 240 Nodes. Amazing momentum. Since iCEGirl censores his threads in the tradition of his masters, I posted the update here.

Thanks to PT and all the other devs who worked to make this happen.
This is the first step in the journey towards a truly scalable Bitcoin.
CheckLockTimeVerify (and CheckSequenceVerify) provide the basic functions needed to build Lightning-type payment channels and Liquid/CT-type sidechains.
LOL, the Lightning off-chain altcoin vaporware. Always entertaining the posts of the Altcoin trolls here.

This is a test of how big the micro payment market is
Based on my research, it is very small, mostly on a few special occasions (refill the telephone card/monthly subway ticket etc...) If there is really a big market, then 21inc will immediately occupy it long before any other solutions coming out. If there is very little market demand, then we will know it is the wrong direction to work on, it will just result in lots of wasted R&D for a function that no one really cares about
Yes. Lightning will never be needed and the artificial fee market enforced by Blockstream/PWC/Core will never happen.

What's this regarding block #398364? Any news?
Deleted by the Politbüro in r/pyongjang forum, but those small brains can't delete it from the Bitcoin Blockchain. Is it time to panic now? Panic is the reason of this thread and of the ridiculous sensor ship the OP and his masters are using.

Don't talk, bet, you losers. But you won't. The market will be right as it was on the XT bet.

Since when is 16 people considered a "market"? This is a joke, 10.88 BTC in favor while there is 28316 BTC in favor of Core on Bitcoinocracy. They seem to be on some tasty kool-aid. You will not bet, despite the ROI of 160%, because you are a joke. Adriano Celentano: La situazione dei piccoli blocctardi non e buona https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MefOSKwmiQ

Of course you will not bet, despite an ROI of 160%. #REKT
