I will delete this post. This is perhaps my last FYI to try to help the fools here.

The catalysts. Some years ago I independently happenstanced on (discovered) Martin Armstrong's 78.9 (79) year cycle of real estate (which I also correlated to technological unemployment cycles). So when I later discovered Armstrong's cycle models and that he had back tested them to the Athenian empire and before (even as far back as Mesopotamia), I'm keen to accept that such a cycle does exist. Armstrong is the largest hedge fund manager in history, formerly managing $3 trillion in Japanese sovereign funds before he got unintentionally entangled in the USA bankster's involved in the LTCM and Russian bonds scam via Republic bank which involved some of the funds he was managing. It is with this wealth that he compiled the massive $billion (in today's money) historical economics and natural phenomenon database that enable his supercomputer system to correlate and find these patterns and repeating cycles.

It is with this system that he has been accurately predicting everything since the 1980s without fail. In fact, I have predicted the past 4 major moves in the Bitcoin price employing his model, including my recent prediction in May that BTC would rise to $315 in June and July, then crash back down to below $150 for the Octoberish bottom.

This is it folks. Cash is king. Get out while you still can. This may be my last warning.

Your prediction will be wrong.

I don't understand. I thought the next bubble would usually produce a new ATH of at least 3x the previous one. Since that was 1200, this one should be between 3000 and 4000. Care to explain ?

i could be totally wrong, but i think hes saying we're gonna get to that 3x bubble through a series of smaller ones (head fakes, the first being smaller than ATH).  i think he compared it to 2012: in summer 2012 the price ran from $5 to $16 in August (ATH was $32 at the time, but this was still a small bubble), then crashed to $6, then quickly recovered en route to $266 in the first 2013 bubble.

this is what i understood as well.

Yes, correct translation of our master's crypto speak.

Looks like santa's coming to town earlier this year. $300 is possible by the end of the week. Happy to those who benefited at the current price!

yeah 300 is possible but the question is can we hold the 300 mark and not falling again after we touch it like the last time?

because if we cannot sustain it then it is pointless it will look like a dead cat bounce

There is no such thing as a possibility:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diodorus_Cronus#Master_Argument

the point is that we don't know, not if it is possible or not

usually one refer to the uncertain nature of the human thinking when he is talking about the possibility...

Correct.

the congestion really has only just begun.  if it persists, yes, ppl will start to stop using Bitcoin.  the exit starts slowly at first and then will morph into a stampede; especially if the price starts plunging.  the mempool is a problem that does have to be fixed so that ordinary users can start getting their tx's through.  they won't be as patient as some of us here.

Hi doc.  I can't help but notice with each passing day you sound more like a Buttcoiner.

No, with each passing day you sound more like a stalker. You are not able to attract people on your own thread.

My holistic prescription for Kano:

-regulate candida overgrowth by cutting dairy/sugar/flour to zero, while consuming copious amounts of probiotics (esp. L. acidophilus) and vitamin C/D

-Meals should be at least 51% raw/sprouted/fermented fruit/veg/nut/legume

-get a colloidal silver generator; drink large glasses at bedtime and between meals (never mix with probiotics...it kills them too)

Yes, accumulate silver in your body as much as possible:

Good luck!

hey, since everybody and their mother now knows i'm an eye doc, how's your diabetic retinopathy?  i was dying to ask you that 3 yr ago back in my cgminer days when you first revealed that.  but that was before HF. Tongue   that's right up my alley you know.
Well, after lots of laser shots each visit (I'm pretty sure the total was 100 or more) I stopped going (about 2 years ago?)
Yeah I should get around to going back again when I can afford it Tongue (before I go blind)

clinically significant diabetic macular edema is not a good thing.  you need to tighten those blood sugar levels.  yes, laser and occasionally intravitreal injections of Avastin can be helpful.  good luck.

kano, change your diet. Research the Paleo diet. Start with some Google searches:

Yes, goog idea. And then research the paleo life style. That was that time before this species evolved into a collectivist cartoon (nationalized homo oeconomicus) of itself. But don't worry, this pandemic disease will disappear as all pandemic diseases did.

My last post for today...

Cypherdoc's poll seems to have gotten a recent infusion of  interest on the XT side of things not reflected in mine.  Just a bump to remind the interested to make 'their' thoughts known as widely as possible.

I notice it correlated with when I wasn't posting, and then as soon as I posted, the poll went back our direction.

Clearly politics is battle of filibuster, because the minds of the voters are malleable.

Seems that you and your colleague are professional losers, amateurish filibusters with lacking charisma. Cheesy Noone of the 1MBers was able to compete with that:

no one cares for your socialist, elitist view around here except for maybe TPTB and a few others.  but go ahead, dream on.

This is true.

Nope, it is confirmed there is no global elite.

http://armstrongeconomics.com/archives/33771

Whether the society and its elite is national or international or both is irrelevant. Relevant is: Do you promote the society (collectivism/paternalism) or the community (anarchy, self-sufficiency).

I promote the local and global community with my cryptocoin (and other technology) work and my concept of the coming Knowledge Age. But for you this must be absolute and preclude knowledge sharing in a "global community of exchange / sharing". The latter part is where we differ and you are all tied up into your Mathusianism which clouds your vision.

My vision is not clouded.

I expect some doublings from the halving. Same procedure as with the last halving.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 23, 2015, 08:30:31 AM

I like Satoshi's quote on this:

Quote from: satoshi
...
Coins have to get initially distributed somehow, and a constant rate seems like the best formula.
...
http://www.mail-archive.com/cryptography%40metzdowd.com/msg09979.html

The nonchalance, to me, indicates a nice trust in markets to do their job of optimizing allocation over time. But - if Bitcoin ever starts to become a serious global economic force, mainstream economists are going to flip out over the above quote, given the initial-distribution algo didn't go through some deep analysis, etc...

I think it's interesting how the engineering decision of making a simple/transparent (easy to implement, thus more secure) distribution algorithm trumped any potential detailed economic complexity, presumably due to Satoshi's understanding that the market would eventually allocate the capital optimally anyways, given the transparency of the current and future supply.

One of the nice things about having a 'benevolent dictator' is that it will be much easier to make decisions about these things going forward.

We already know that in the noble interest of getting a 'critical mass' in order to 'outrun regulation', it is critical  to subsidize transaction costs.  We also know with some reasonable certainty that one of the early attractions of Bitcoin was that people could 'make free money' with only a token effort.  People like free shit.  Always will.

In order to spread the wealth there are two choices.

 - make more wealth and give it away (e.g., screw the obsolete 21 million cap thingy.)

 - appropriate existing or lost money and hand it out.

Idea!  We can be pretty sure that if/when XT takes over, coin tainting is not far behind.  Why don't we use the otherwise wasted value to pass around to the masses.  Maybe like a dividend to be distributed to all existing addresses.  To be more fair and reduce gaming, however, it makes sense that people would need to appropriately register their true identities in order to receive the dividend though.

My god, cheezes christ, what a socialist pile of crap.

These socialists should be forced to spread their wealth. 'Maybe like a dividend to be distributed to all existing addresses'.

Financial institutions can't trust each other perhaps. They are not the "banksters" if by that you mean the global elite helping to manage our self-chosen, NWO-directed path.

Until you understand who is the DEEP STATE and the way they are positioned in the establishment, you are hopelessly lost.

Skulls and Clowns?
815  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 22, 2015, 02:24:56 PM
LOL. And where were those morons sponsored from? Petrochina, Exxon, Gazprom et al.?

No. If anything the large corporations are supporting the establishment which is fabricating the false data. You've fallen for the "Good Car Salesman, Bad Car Salesman" trick.

There is absolutely nothing factual I can say or write which will change the minds of people who are stuck in their pet delusions. That is why the best course of action is implementation and not talk.

Then why are you talking all the time? No work?

Because scientists are not Truther-idiots and do not believe that changing the composition of the atmosphere does not lead to a change of the climate. One has to be an ideologue or an idiot to spread such formulas.

And it was pointed out to you that at least 33,000 scientists (and 9,000 PhDs) signed a petition (many years ago and this number has surely swelled as much as Cypherdolt's head interim)

LOL. And where were those morons sponsored from? Petrochina, Exxon, Gazprom et al.?

"Changing the composition of the atmosphere and the ocean does not lead to another climate in the atmosphere and the ocean."
Ever heard of an even more idiotic formula?

New poll above reminder.

tvbcof's troll poll with a similar result.

I can't see a future with less than a thousand or so nodes.

I don't buy the "centralization" fears related to increased blocksize.

Because you don't factor in the government's ease of regulating 1000 permanently sited nodes compared to zillions of ephemeral nodes in a truly decentralized system.

Imagine that every major research university runs a full node. If you were this "scary, monolithic government" that you seem to fear, how would you go about controlling the software that scientists are running in their cryptocurrency labs?

Are you really serious asking that?

Did you not read the upthread discussion about how the universities are captured.

How else do you think they foisted the lie of Man Made Global Temperature Change on us?

Eliminating mankind entirely may be your lunatic goal, but that particular goal is very, very, very difficult to achieve. Entropy is not on your side.

Mankind along with many other species is already nearly entirely eliminated by the society, which does not represent mankind. Society/collectivism is a cancerous, proliferous cartoon of mankind. It is a pandemic disease. My goal is the rebirth of mankind. The society/collectivism is something to be overcome.

Doctor doctor, what is wrong with me?
This supermarket life, is getting long
What is the heart life of a color TV?
What is the shelf life of a teenage queen?
Ooh Western Woman
Ooh Western Girl

News hound sniffs the air
When Jessica Hahn goes down
He latches onto that symbol of detachment
Attracted by the peeling way of feeling
The celebrity of the abused shell, the belle
Ooh Western Woman
Ooh Western Girl

The children on Melrose strut their stuff
Is absolute zero cold enough?
And out in the valley, warm and clean
The little ones sit by the TV screen

No thoughts to think
No tears to cry
All sucked dry
Down to the very last breath

Bartender what is wrong with me?
Why am I so out of breath?
The captain said 'Excuse me ma'am'
'This species has amused itself to death'

Amused itself to death
It has amused itself to death
Amused itself to death

We watched the tragedy unfold
We did as we were told, bought and sold
It was the greatest show on Earth
But then it was over

We oohed and ahhed
We drove our racing cars
We ate our last few jars of caviar
And somewhere out there in the stars
A keen eyed lookout spied a flickering light
Our last hurrah
Our last hurrah

And when they found our shadows
Groups 'round the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their list
And then
The alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason for our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This species has amused itself to death

Combustion of fossil fuels accounts for about 5% or so of the total release of CO2 into the atmosphere per year.  Natural processes release and absorb many times that per year.

This is one of the dumbest 'arguments' of the anthropocentric truthers and bible throwers.

The natural process is a carbon circulation. Combustion of fossil fuels takes carbon out of the ground and transfers it into the ocean and the atmosphere.

It is not a circulation but a pump which over time slowly puts more and more carbon into the ground from out of the air. This is why the long term carbon graphs show carbon as constantly decreasing at a steady rate over millions of years.

No, not constantly decreasing. Cyclically decreasing. 150 Million years ago the concentration has been much higher than 300 Million years ago.
Anthropogenic experiments in changing the composition of the atmosphere in record time are anyway an idiocy. Man made, shock-like changes in the atmosphere determine shock-like reactions of flora and fauna.

200M years of continuously decreasing levels. We have barely reversed a mere fraction of that. Yes it is a change, but that does not mean it is a bad change.

Abruptly engineering an environment with conditions of the pre-mammalian age could indeed be a good change.
The planet would at least be spared from anthropocentric poison drinkers and hyper-collectivists (bible throwers, Keynesians, Austrians, tvbcofs, anonymints and other fascist collectivists) and the command of their idols: Dominum terrae.

The state, I call it, where all are poison-drinkers, the good and the bad: the state, where all lose themselves, the good and the bad: the state, where the slow suicide of all — is called "life."
