Your first and most obvious mistake is always assuming all nodes are equal. 903 nodes now. I'm surprised that nobody is upgrading to core 0.11.0 anymore since one week. It stopped abruptly. Does nobody in the Bitcoin community trust the blockchainers and their cheerleaders who behave like warriors and censoring enthusiast? |

I believe that Satoshi expected most people to use some sort of lightweight node, with only companies and true enthusiasts being full nodes. Mike Hearn's view is similar to Satoshi's view.
I strongly disagree with the idea that changing the max block size is a violation of the "Bitcoin currency guarantees". Satoshi said that the max block size could be increased, and the max block size is never mentioned in any of the standard descriptions of the Bitcoin system.
IMO Mike Hearn's plan would probably work. The market/community would find a way to pay for the network's security, and it would be easy enough to become a full node that the currency wouldn't be at risk. The max block size would not truly be unlimited, since miners would always need to produce blocks that the vast majority of full nodes and other miners would be able and willing to process in a reasonable amount of time.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140233.msg1492629#msg1492629 |

I think you meant to say NotXT. NotXT+XT node count really took off when it came out: I don't think that you really believe in that BS, which seems to be your last hope. Since 1 week there are (net) zero node upgrades to 1MB-0.11.0, while the XMB-0.11.0 version went to 800. You can't tell how many of those 800 nodes are being spoofed by NotXT and Pseudonode. Not that it matters. Nobody is going to want XT after this news gets out: Bitcoin XTs Tor IP blacklist downloading system has significant privacy leaks.The reality is: 1) It is open source and can/will be changed as soon as the 1MB'ers/sidechain usurpators are forked away and 2) 'Nobody is going to want to' upgrade to 1MB-0.11.0 since the XMB-0.11.0-Client is ready to download. |

On a lulzy buttrage scale of 1 to 10, it rates about 1.5 Frap.docs. It looks to me, that the bigger blocksize group tries to find a consensus in an open debate, while the 1MB group is absolutely fine with censorship and dividing(splitting) the community in 2 camps.
