4001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do scam ICOs really taken to the court? on: January 14, 2020, 06:24:18 PM
Yes. This is one that I just recently read as I tread into the history of ICOs.
First here's the link to what I'd read: https://cryptovest.com/news/celebrity-ico-endorsers-taken-to-court-over-alleged-crypto-scam/
I guess there are even celebrities that even support ICOs in crypto (DJ Khaled and Floyd Mayweather mentioned in the article). It is just saddening that investors were also being deceived by these popular celebs.
4002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qatar Bans CryptoCurrency on: January 14, 2020, 06:17:44 PM
I guess they couldn't help the thoughts of possible terrorist financing from it.  I don't like KYC policy, but they should at least imposed that instead of banning it fully. While I don't really compare that much on how established crypto is in respective countries but my country imposes that law whenever you use an online wallet so that this money-laundering as well as terrorism would be avoided as much as possible.
4003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My New Year Resolution For Bitcointalk on: January 14, 2020, 05:15:01 PM
~
I thought this is a resolution but it turns out to be a wish.
#1:  scams aren't moderated. This is why there is such thing as trust feedback so that people will know if that raises a red flag or it is purely a scam project. Caveat emptor, OP.

#2: This is entirely a wide wish, OP. There are many bounty managers here. Some bounty managers work directly at the project that he or she's gonna manage. If you're gonna look for a trusted campaign managers, you can find them here
Billyboy402's post is quite outdated and it is already locked so I didn't inserted it in here.
4004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to be thankful than hate him on: January 14, 2020, 05:02:41 PM
I agree with you that we ought to be thankful to Nakamoto because it has had a huge economic and social impact and the biggest changes are yet to come. A common thought says that technology is not who invents it, but who uses it, the most relevant thing in that context is that the environment is being changed by cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Yeah we have to be more thankful in him because actually he or they did us a favor. If there is no cryptocurrency today and crypto trading what would it be our sidelines or part time job in order to fulfill our needs? And also we all know that in other countries cryptocurrencies are now accepted as a means of payment. What a great advantage for our brothers and sisters in other countries to have this opportunity. They are lucky because in some countries cryptcurrencies are still prohibited thats why we should be thankful to Nakamoto for creating bitcoin.

There is quite bigger reason to thank him, not just because crypto trading would help you earn. Take this scenario where you'll need to give a friend a money. You can either give him the money personally or through remittance center, and either ways you'll incur expenses including service fees (if you would send money through remittance centers) and transportation expenses, but with Bitcoin you'll just relax in front of your computer as you send your money to your friend without the increasing fees of fare/transportation. Mining fees and/or online service charge (if using online wallet) is/are what you're gonna pay only just to send one.
4005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: January 14, 2020, 04:52:05 PM
Good for you, OP. I wished I could say the same that I used Bitcoin for years, and not from hodling.
The problem is that I don't find that many mserchants to buy some products using Bitcoin directly. The adoption is quite slow in my country, but that's fine. As long as I can still convert to my local fiat without any problems, I am okay with that.

Besides I could purchase items in online shopping sites like Shopee using my online crypto wallet which I use for that mostly when I am just looking for something to reward myself at least.
4006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need Bitcoin, If Altcoins Transfers Are Faster And Cheaper on: January 14, 2020, 04:44:03 PM
This.
I would rather use my local payments here in my country like PayMaya service, as well as using other wallets like PayPal. I am not that used to getting my funds be handled by some authorities although I have an online wallet that I use but most of my funds aren't yet in crypto because of the volatility.
4007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: January 14, 2020, 03:45:15 PM
I never saw so many zeroes in a price equivalent to ETH as well as in USD. It might seem having like 42,500,000,000 supply of coins, it is trash so I don't advise to drop any single quarter on that. Not worth your time, as well as not worth your penny.
You could check it in here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/hypnoxys
4008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining crypto by walking on: January 14, 2020, 03:32:03 PM
That's kinda sad actually. I never got to know about that coin.

~
the idea was good ,its rewarding users by walking but the problem about that is . Is there away developers can earn for such a project if they can then we can see many project will create the same as this one. But if not profitable for developers then theres no way they will waste time for this.

I am thinking of them making a device like a watch or any wrist device that would be pretty convenient for people and they can sell it from that. I just don't know if such device that small would be possible though.
4009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: January 14, 2020, 03:23:01 PM
Thats why its better to think before participating in a bounty. Is the projects realistic to be achieved, identities of the persons involved, are they collecting large amount of money. Participants should build their standards to not get disappointed since these people are asking for your identities.
Realistic and legitimate or not, you shouldn't risk your identity in the internet. This is why I never put too much information even in my Facebook account and even if Facebook =/= KYC, you're still giving away some of your private information. Unless it is regulated by the government which isn't really applies to most, I won't ever show my identity to something just for profit.
The last time I showed my identity only doesn't apply in the internet but when I cash out in remittance centers.
4010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if anyone hacked your account then who is responsible??? on: January 14, 2020, 01:47:25 PM
I just recently learned my lesson from this like it happened today and thankfully it was resolved because it wasn't within my control on whatever the hacker tried to post. I think everyone should already take an extra precaution to whatever they browse in the internet. Don't just think of that you're safe, just because something isn't happening yet. In any day your account would just get compromised, and you'll just notice the signs that someone had access in your account. It applies to everything. Not just in your online wallet(though you should avoid it when your funds are there currently), but also to every account you have in the internet including your social media accounts. You'll never know the dangerous or dire situation that the hacker will put you at.
Your account, your responsibility.
4011  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 14, 2020, 01:31:01 PM
Thank you all for helping me with this case.
It is now resolved.
I'll lock the thread now.
I archived the thread that I edited as well as the archive made by tvplus006 and the link is in the OP.
4012  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 14, 2020, 08:13:41 AM
I only use the BTC address(3MDZFfx9vi1beyS4BXBqvtjAAfM2ZbHCs3) and that address is within an online wallet that I use (Coins.ph)
This is another thing you have to learn: Don't use online wallets if you have alternatives, even better than online wallets.

Using online wallets to store your funds is bad idea.
Using online wallets probably reduce your ability to control your coins and privacy, or at worst you don't have any control on them.
Most of online wallets don't give you rights to have coin control features.
I am aware of it, my bad. I already put a two-factor authentication to it, although that doesn't guarantee security for me.

~
Abusers can bruteforce your password even when you change your old password to new one, if you don't change your captcha code (by click on Reset button). As you stated, you don't use captcha bypass code, but I think you should note it too, just in case later you decide to use it and somehow get compromised from captcha bypass code.

You can get your captcha code and reset it as soon as possible whenever your problems solved. If abusers get access to your account, there is risk that they also have access to your captcha code already.
https://bitcointalk.org/captcha_code.php

Thank you! I already wrote the captcha code as well as the link and I'll make another reset after this case was resolved. I don't want to bookmark it for security purposes.
4013  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 14, 2020, 04:36:44 AM
Can you sign a message from a Bitcoin address you posted a while ago, to prove you're the real owner?
Don't do that!

First do what Welsh said:

Quote
These things are clear:

1. Determine cause via process of elimination
2. Take the necessary actions for a clean, and safe environment.
3. Change credentials in this clean environment (its probably a good idea to change password immediately, as well as again under a clean system)
4. Avoid whatever caused you to get compromised.

Clean everything then do what LoyceV said.

You don't want to sign message if you could compromise private keys. Then PM me.

Good day.
Thank you all for keeping up with me with this case, and I really appreciate it.
I only use the BTC address(3MDZFfx9vi1beyS4BXBqvtjAAfM2ZbHCs3) and that address is within an online wallet that I use (Coins.ph) and this is the only thing I could show of ownership with my account at that wallet as well as my account here. I covered something in the upper corner, because it shows my real name.

I had Segwit Address that I created using Electrum and I used when I applied to Coinpayments Campaign back in 2018, but I no longer have access to that wallet when I nuked this Desktop Computer I currently use.

I already sent a PM, please kindly check.

Update: I was told by theymos that logging out will end all sessions. I already cleaned my computer, so I think I am good but I'll run another scan just in case.
4014  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 13, 2020, 04:20:35 PM
I didn't change the password yet, because I sorted of panicked about that.

Do it immediately without any delay, whoever came into possession of your password still has it, you don't need any more damage. I think admin is only person who can fix this, he has access to you log data, and if you always log from the same country, that IP from Turkey should be a sign that someone has actually hacked your account, though not completely credible proof that it was someone else's. I hope you can prove your innocence.

Done.
I already changed my password. I'll send a PM to the admin. I hope he can do something about this and terminate those session, because this is merely out of my control.  I never logged in different devices other than my Laptop and Desktop.

I didn't change the password yet, because I sorted of panicked about that.
~

If you can prove someone had access to your account, you may be able to get out of your negative feedback. You could for instance ask someone trusted to confirm the login from a different IP, although that's not 100% proof.

Can you suggest someone that I can trust? I am not sure who is the right person to approach.

~
I never used captcha bypass when I log in. By the way, I also changed the password of my email and I added mobile number verification to it.

I'll look into where does that IP lead. I'll update the post from my findings.

I hope the feedback will be reconsidered or reviewed. I'll show what is needed, just to prove my innocence.

Update: From my findings, it just shows a random area in Turkey. Not within a company or organization. ISP is Turk Telekom. Can someone please help me with this?

Update 2 : I'll log off for now, it's kinda late here already (1am). I hope there's still a way to prove my innocence, as the post isn't really made by me. I already PM'ed theymos if he can do something about it and the users that left me negative feedback. If there's someone that could help my case, I would really appreciate it because I don't really know who is the right person to approach for this. I never worked for/to whatever that platform is, nor have any association with them. I'll keep this thread open until it is resolved. I already changed my password and the password to my email plus mobile verification (I am not sure if changing email is required, tell me if I have to). Have a great day, everyone.
4015  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 13, 2020, 04:13:35 PM
I didn't change the password yet, because I sorted of panicked about that.
You should do that first! Also: move this to Reputation.

If you can prove someone had access to your account, you may be able to get out of your negative feedback. You could for instance ask someone trusted to confirm the login from a different IP, although that's not 100% proof.

Thanks for the advice. Already moved and already changed my password.
I'll just ask it from the one that left me a feedback.
4016  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 13, 2020, 03:59:18 PM
As far as I know, the only way to make a post from your account is to hack your password, or maybe if you forget to log-off and someone took the opportunity to make that post. From what I see, you still haven't changed your password which is not a smart move if we consider everything you have stated in your post.

I don't think you can easily prove your innocence in this case, maybe someone can give you better advice than me.

I swear it is really sudden. I don't know how would I prove my innocence here.
I just saw my profile tagged when I refreshed my profile then I saw that it indicated that I posted something like that, so I just edited it quickly and locked the thread so that no further post could be made there.

I already PM'ed tvplus006 about this, so he/she can reconsider the feedback. It is out of my control so I didn't know that my account posted something like that.

I didn't change the password yet, because I sorted of panicked about that.
4017  Other / Meta / Re: Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 13, 2020, 03:52:25 PM
Visit the link below You can see your IP logs in the past 30 days.

https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php

I live in Philippines and I saw someone logged on at Turkey. Is there a way that would make these sessions logged-out? I'll change my password as well as e-mail.

I'll update this post with screenshot.

Update:
4018  Other / Meta / Is there such thing as a malware that would make me automatically post? on: January 13, 2020, 03:31:15 PM
I am not sure whether to post this in Meta or Reputation, since it just suddenly happen without my control.
Please read my feedback.
I didn't really post that whatever scheme that was.
I was thinking of that something might have triggered this.
I already edited the post and the thread title, but you can see the original post from my feedback and I'll delete it within 24 hours.
Post is in here, but I already edited it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217073.msg53589799#msg53589799

PS. I never visit "Investor-based games".

Update: I also archived the threads after I locked and edited it because I am gonna delete the thread. I also insert the Archive link that tvplus006 made as reference to the feedback he wrote to me. I don't know how would this help for my case, but it can be used as a future reference or investigations.

I don't know what caused it post, I'll edit it soon.
4020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will you invest in something you know nothing about? on: January 13, 2020, 01:48:46 PM
I also suggest that we should teach as we can our friend about growing blockchain technology and also inform about incredible growth in altcoins trading and also holding of altcoins can be big profitable, and I never force to friends for investing in altcoins until they don't know about altcoins.
My friend once forced me to immediately teach him about crypto and he immediately invested it without thinking about the biggest risk in crypto, until now I don't see him reinvesting maybe for fear of a long bear market such as in 2018.
It was like a different story for me though. I was taught to invest in BTC before by my friend back in 2017 but then turns out and up til this day he hasn't invested a single quarter to it. It was like an overreaction for me, because his fear is too much just like how unstable the price of BTC is.
I guess he will regret his decision in 2050  Grin
