3901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Spot a Shitcoin? on: February 02, 2020, 06:06:45 AM
If you are afraid of shitcoins, then stay away from alts, there's not a single coin that is guaranteed to have good long-term growth, and they all still depend on Bitcoin - without Bitcoin leading the way, there won't be any big movement for alts. Just put your money in Bitcoin, it's already an investment with fantastic potential, why be greedy and chase even bigger gains and put yourself in additional risks?

Just learn more about the fundamentals - cryptography, networks, electronic communications - then you will be able to judge coins yourself.

That's why these alts are meant to be day traded most of the time. It just pumps and plummets at the same time in the day. It is either breakeven or a loss for long-term hodlers.
Bitcoin is always the best way to go.
3902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun and Corona Virus on: February 02, 2020, 06:05:11 AM
It could be just a bad thing in my perspective if there was no support that happened.
It seems like it could go either way, bad or good.
I even remembered those opportunist that made Kobe Bryant's merchandise price higher due to expected high demand. It could've gone good if it was donated to his family.
3903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind the fall of altcoins??? on: February 02, 2020, 05:45:46 AM
If you think that this is already the worse fall we got, check out the fall we got back in 2018.
It could either be that alt is a shitcoin or it is along with the fall of Bitcoin.
There ain't definite reason aside from whales manipulation. I even remembered the involvement of whales in Bitcoin SV from what the dev stated.
3904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 02, 2020, 04:53:06 AM
Some just need to take a chill pill.
Panics usually happens due to massive plunge of the price, or even when the market crashes. Looking at that plunge of Bitcoin from 7k to 4k, I was about to panic actually but turns out when I checked the Wikipedia about the price of Bitcoin throughout the years, it went the same thing while it was still in 3 digits and now look where we are.
3905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Blind Person Access Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2020, 04:47:12 AM
IcyWallet is what seems the majority of the people mentioned here.

There is an Ease Of Access feature in Windows already even in the older ones, and I think people should check that out first before trying to use this wallet.
I never used IcyWallet, nor have heard of it.
3906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Serious Bitcoin Security Warning!!! on: February 02, 2020, 04:42:59 AM
I remember my screenshot about my QR code in my Bitcoin address just to prove my ownership of the account, and from how this news seemed like to avoid the usage of cryptos, I'll never let my friends transfer money to me using those.
I'll just use QR codes whenever I need to access a certain sites without typing the whole hyperlink itself. It could be altered to a phishing site, but that's a matter of different discussion.
3907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Right Time to buy Some ALT coins? on: February 02, 2020, 04:40:05 AM
From how the top 10 seems like in CMC, it seems a bit of good time to buy right now. The decrease were merely like -1% up to -4%, and it might seem like just a small opportunity to buy more of it, but that could go for so long.
It is quite different for those who hold ADA though, as it increased by almost 5%.
It is a good day for day traders, actually.
3908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for Beginners? on: February 01, 2020, 04:12:17 PM
Well since you're still beginning, I would advise you to start virtual trading if you're kinda scared of losing quite a capital.
Start with like few USDs first.
Choose the exchange you want to trade at, I expect that you would end up in Binance since that's what the majority will tell you, but think out of the box and you'll get Bittrex, Etherdelta, etc.
Don't go straight into day trading, if you're planning into it since you're still beginning.
3909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bestsellers: Local Hunger for Bitcoin/Blockchain/Cryptocurrency Knowledge Rises! on: February 01, 2020, 01:46:08 PM
Isn't it that the Philippines is trying to be one of the crypto hubs in Asia? So it makes sense to me that you will find books around about Blockchain technology and everything related to crypto this 2020. So I will not be surprised if there is also a full blown interest around the country, and who knows, maybe some students are going to pick up that book, shows interest and be one day a leader.

Probably its about time for me to also explore our local book shops to see if we're really coping with the rapid changes in the world - crypto and blockchain.

I didn't know that these books were being sold in bookstore in my country.
Is that Ayala Mall located in Solenad? I never saw Fully Booked Store there. National Bookstore kinda lacks a lot of variation in books even if it comes to my own field, that's why I don't expect that there's gonna be more into it.
There's quite plenty of books in Booksale though. I think I might give it a try to look into blockchain-related books next time I go out, plus the price of books is quite nice there unlike NBS.
3910  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature Campaign ★☆★ (Member-Hero Accepted) (New) on: February 01, 2020, 12:57:02 PM

No what I mean is the new manager will retain all that are already in the list and will honor Hhampuz decision on the campaigner that he chooses, I like to stay here as long as this campaign is on, there were a lot of high paying campaign in the past but I prefer to hang on I prefer longevity of the campaign and of course good manager is a bonus.

This is what he said in the 54th payment.

~

I'll let you all know more as we move forward. Nothing changes with the campaign though and you can keep posting and will receive payments.

Let's just wait for the upcoming announcements  Smiley .

3911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change mainstream media's perception on "Bitcoin being used by thieves" on: February 01, 2020, 12:46:07 PM
We can't, sadly.
Everyone has their own perception about certain things and there's nothing we could do about it.
Even outside crypto, there are contributions to a certain social groups and do you think you can trust those contributions?
I even remembered back in the day that Bitcoin was used by a marketer ( I don't really remember the specialization of that person) to make a ponzi scheme.

Bitcoin being used by criminals was my first thought before I started investing into it. Turns out I was wrong due to a friend of mine that proved me wrong.
3912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: February 01, 2020, 12:43:25 PM
I hope it won't cause any considerations for a ban anytime.
Well I haven't even heard any news about thoughts of Duterte regarding cryptos anyway, just yet and I hope it stays that way.
I don't know what these trading bots do, but if there's gonna be case that some electronic will do the trades for me, I won't implement it in my strategy.
3913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Digital currency of Banks can replace the Bitcoin? What is your opinion? on: January 26, 2020, 05:23:27 PM
No, and what's more is that there's surely little to no effect in crypto especially specifying Bitcoin to it.
There were already many candidates that wanted to replace Bitcoin even inside of the collection it belongs, but Bitcoin will always stand there as it is. It is gonna continue to stick for an indefinite time.
3914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO legalities in 2020? on: January 26, 2020, 02:29:17 AM
if your country prohibits cryptoqurrency then the main problem is the government in that country. residents or citizens generally will always follow the regulations of their respective countries. if the American state legalizes the cryptoqurrency industry and the citizens welcome it well then that is positive news for the crypto market especially for users in that country.

Banning the use of decentralized cryptocurrencies and banning initial coin offerings are 2 different subjects. SEC is saying that it's trying to prevent fund raising (that can be scams) that profit centralized companies. Banning something decentralized on the other hand is next to impossible.
Indeed.
There's quite a misconception between the two. Initial coin offerings doesn't really happen only inside cryptos. It could occur anywhere in the internet, and I think certain countries could regulate that.
Bitcoin, as a decentralized coin, is quite impossible to regulate unless people are thinking of connecting it with 3rd party financial institutions like their local remittance centers and it is almost like 100% guaranteed that it is gonna be under regulation of the government.
3915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Vs Corona Virus on: January 26, 2020, 02:25:38 AM
There's no point into thinking of crypto that much when it comes to this nationwide issue.
People will think of rescuing themselves first, before their wealth comes into their mind. In terms of investors, I am not sure if they're gonna sell their crypto there but I don't think that China has plenty of adoption of cryptos.
3916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: January 25, 2020, 06:14:50 PM
I always thought that having 2fa provides the most of the security already, since it is like gonna be in contact directly to your phone and that would mean like no one would have access to it.

I heard these schemes already quite few times before, and it seems quite rare as of now but because it can do damage this big already, given that it is already done by an underage dude, exchanges, online crypto wallet services, as well as any online service that requires mobile phone numbers as part of verification process should at least add up more layer of security.

I am not sure if these hackers got a workaround with other security features like OTP authentication, but that seems the only alternative for me as of now.
3917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple Round ICOs? on: January 25, 2020, 06:09:56 PM
Not really, but I understand that routes might change or extend sometimes that the time requires more fund for some reason like mismanagement to the project funds, but it should be at least be avoided.
It was like a long time ago since I attempted bounties, and I never experienced multiple rounds of ICOs.
3918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will NOT surpass traditional methods of payment. Convince me. on: January 25, 2020, 06:00:26 PM
It is gonna be an alternative, not the replacement.
People will still get used to how money works currently. It has been always like that even pre-credit/debit card era. If Bitcoin was possible to replace the current payment methods, then we should all have been using cards, but turns out it become also an alternative.
Bitcoin could surely replace these cards, but as for the traditional payment, I highly doubt. It'll just get adopted a lot.
3919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Crypto on: January 25, 2020, 01:33:08 PM
How I Crypto for now is I hodl for a certain amount of time then whenever there's like a sale in my online shopping sites like Shopee, I tend to purchase some using cryptos. I use online wallet service like Coins.ph, because it allows me to make a payment through DragonPay payment system.
That's all there pretty much into it, OP for me.
3920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bank, Necessary? on: January 25, 2020, 01:29:11 PM
No need because that's what Bitcoin was made for, to not use banks anymore for the storage of one's wealth/money, and OP there's no need for centralization of Bitcoin. It's already okay to where it is currently at. Probably banks will need one's personal identity before they can even hodl a certain amount of Bitcoin or do some transactions with it. I already saw and experience these through online crypto wallets, so no I ain't buying that.
