3241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning is better than Following on: February 25, 2021, 05:14:55 PM

For anyone looking for tldr
OP just wants to say that we should decide by ourselves.

@OP
Thing is other people are driven by celebrities. Do you remember the start of the hype again in dogecoin when Elon Musk just        said that it will go to the moon? Many invested to Doge, I believe but I don't have the statistics.
But that shouldn't discourage you still to decide by your own instincts.
3242  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much lower you think BTC can go in this drop ? on: February 25, 2021, 05:10:51 PM
~
Bottom floor? Well you can go as low as $0 and you could be right but there isn't visible floor for BTC as it doesn't even have its own ceiling. 47k is yet the lowest price we got recently and it seems to be just that. But hey it's still a crawl for bounce back to 51k as of writing this so we might still expect a little bit of correction in the price, OP.
40-42k is a bit likely, but I shouldn't count on it if I were you.
3243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you think about the few days deep on: February 25, 2021, 05:06:08 PM
You mean dip, OP?
From the price that BTC moves into, seems like we can expect another though, but don't panic for now to buy a lot.
I would still hodl if I were you. You shouldn't have panicked though, as you mentioned in the OP.
3244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk twitted - Doge on the actual MOON! on: February 24, 2021, 07:43:27 PM
I thought this was a last week's tweet but then I checked his twitter account.
What now? Another moon-level increase for Doge?
It's like it is now all celebrities' words that drives the market really really crazy, same goes to how it was for Bitcoin.
3245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No year of altcoins coming. All the big money is pouring into bitcoin. on: February 24, 2021, 07:42:25 PM
~
I never believed that there's year of the altcoins actually since mostly it just follows the pattern that BTC does. Well from my observation lately in CMC site for all the coins though some are independently increasing by themselves, but still.
It's like when Bitcoin dumps/crashes, it goes worse for altcoins since it is pretty much panic selling for some investors.
3246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did people buy bitcoin and other cryptos back in the old days? on: February 24, 2021, 07:29:02 PM
Like around 2011 to 2015? Before it became available on major exchanges?
I believe personal transactions were done back then before even tech-savvy people look into it making it convenient to buy one. I started to get into Bitcoin back in 2017 and I registered here late the same year. If you're still curious how did I bought mine, it was through convenience store payment. Pretty convenient (heh) .
3247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never catch a falling knive on: February 24, 2021, 07:27:19 PM
~
I remember that day. It was insane actually for Bitcoin to even go below 6k. Back then as well in 2018, I believe it stabilized for a while in 7k then crashed as well
Well I guess many could still buy right now cause why not. Maybe don't buy instantly from just a sharp drop but when it reaches the floor, there's surely a reason to buy at least a bit now Smiley .
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Risk on: February 24, 2021, 05:24:53 PM
~
Not sure about DIVI, but the rest you mentioned as top tier coins are enough already actually.
I wouldn't suggest going down for BTC and up for ETH though. You'll probably be more better with more BTC even if you said that you're going for "aggressive portfolio". That would be considered a good plan for me, but all of the decision is still up to you, OP. Good luck!
3249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First time scammed , very frustrated on: February 24, 2021, 05:22:35 PM
~
Almost $450. That's a lot of money, OP. Why would you risk that much for something even if it means to something that is quite known of a project these days? I wouldn't risk that amount solely for anything.
I guess you learned your lesson from there already. This is why when I join a certain group, not just Telegram, I tend to scout first the activity if it is filled with bots or not.
3250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience isn't everything on: February 24, 2021, 05:06:32 PM
When I was still a newbie to crypto many people told me to keep holding and that's all I did for many years and in the end I ended up with many dead coins, whenever I keep seeing people talking about patience as if it's the only thing a newbie need I always shake my head, the fact is you need more than patience to get good results from projects, having patience sometimes will get you nothing
That's why you just hodl BTC.
Patience part isn't technically about hodling your shitcoins in your hand, but rather than either trading them or selling them at their highest point contributing to dumps.
Almost every new altcoins aren't worth holding anymore because many would just dump it and there's nothing you could do about people that just wanted quick $$$.
3251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dump just after a new listing? on: February 24, 2021, 05:04:49 PM
~
Wow that's a roller coaster ride but nothing fancy there. Dumping is normal and even pumping. So you are saying mxc are wash trading it? Maybe but if the project is really have potential then there is a chance to really go high. Depends on traders, sometime they take that low dumping as an opportunity and that's what happened now they ripping the profit as it increase almost 4x from the ico and more than 5x from its dump.
From what the OP said, it seems yeah I second on what you said.
Seems like it is going to plummet really hard. I am not familiar that much with AME coin or such, but now it's my common mindset sometimes to think that newer coins are destined to be dumped.
3252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Feel Confuse !!! on: February 23, 2021, 07:23:15 PM
~
Sucks for you I guess.
I experience that back when I was going from MEW to EtherDelta but I am pretty sure it was cheaper back then but I was low on my capital so somehow it is kind of "expensive" in my end due to possible losses I might stumble upon.
As what everyone suggested, you're almost just up to wait for the gas fee to go lower. Sorry for that, OP.
3253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without experience and knowledge on: February 23, 2021, 07:21:44 PM
~
Well surely some knowledge would help like stop-loss and stuff, but when you're holding you're almost up to commit for a really long-term. I really mean really long-term.
As for your query, yes. If you're implying experience with other trading stuffs like stock trading.
In fact a fresh knowledge to trading would be great since your mind would have harder time to adapt from stock to crypto because those two don't work exactly the same.
3254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt season over or about to start ? on: February 23, 2021, 06:44:38 PM
Well did alt season even started at all?
You even said that you personally believe that it was over, just because Bitcoin plummeted back to <50k right now.
If you think alt season is over, then you might consider selling your coins right now as people might consider dumping as well.
3255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is the Key on: February 23, 2021, 06:43:09 PM
This thread is somehow familiar with the thread I stumbled upon in Trading Discussion, hm?
I suppose it is different OP, but to reiterate my thoughts on this.
Patience is the key but it isn't the only key.
You need your time management as well in trading, like in my day trading experience it was rough because I was into selling actually and earning cause people think that day trading is an easy profit since you're actively trading like buying and selling constantly within the day.
3256  Other / Meta / Re: Is it impossible to level me up? The Merit questions of member guy on: February 23, 2021, 04:53:34 PM
It's been a while since we got another "merit" thread here, huh.

@OP
You were already registered here since 2016. Merit system was already implemented back in 2018. You should be aware at least that you need 100 merits to become a full member by now.

Edit 1:

Seems like OP is desperate to rank up, I see.
OP didn't post for almost 3 years plus the account password was changed and the account just woke up from long period of inactivity.
3257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it really a benefit that nobody controls the price? on: February 23, 2021, 04:47:44 PM
~
Just do it and accept it. Even my biller accepts crypto payments now through a third-party app though I wish I could pay upfront with just using a Bitcoin wallet. That's my cue to buy hardware wallet as well.
There are indeed a lot of FUDs in crypto, because business needed to destroy other in order to survive and don't let put you down.
3258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best trading site? on: February 23, 2021, 04:43:30 PM
Bittrex was a top exchange back then, they had alot of users that they stopped accepting newcomers, but today they are now open to newcomer after they have lost their top spot to binance, imposing this strict kyc to make trade and the rest drives customers away cause they are some customers who are more concerned with their personal identities online, they won't agree to perform kyc just to trade, that's why most people prefer trading on decentralized platforms now.
That was supposed to be my first exchange to trade at after I sold my tokens EtherDelta. Seems like they had too many members to handle, overloading the server.
I believe that was back in 2018?
I am not sure how Bittrex stands right now, but I wish I got to see the platform when I was still day trading back then. :/
3259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Be in a hurry on: February 23, 2021, 04:41:50 PM
~

That "batches" part quite varies on my end. Sometimes I sell small especially when that coin was for a longer-term and go back to hodling again. I never zeroed out my coins cause that feels draining in my sanity actually.
Some people just tend to hurry in newer projects because they fear that those fancy discounts or price corrections is the last lowest price they can buy at.
Here in Bitcoin, some people tend to panic or overreact when the price just seemingly goes red a bit and when some celebrities just said something about a certain coin.
3260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best way to "secure" your coins? on: February 23, 2021, 04:35:09 PM
~
KYC policies are being made because it would be quite questionable on why would you hold such amount. I had my experience with Binance at that.
Not sure what DAI is, but I can see that it is a stable coin. Only sure way to secure it is through stable coin, well in terms of price volatility "protection".

Security of the coins itself is a matter of different discussion because you're never gonna want to keep your funds in an exchange.
