3441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🤔 How do you distribute your portfolio? BTC vs Altcoins on: December 12, 2020, 06:44:33 PM
~
Mostly I throw it all in BTC. There's just that much of risk in other altcoins to think of when holding and I assume that's what OP's talking about in here.
BTC isn't really called to be "safe", maybe for the decentralized use of it but the price fluctuation is the risk on it.
Back then I throw some of my profit in BTC holdings in other coins, but I changed my strategy.
3442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most important thing in the development of a project? on: December 12, 2020, 06:42:19 PM
~
These are all nothing if it is a scammy project.
But regardless, I don't think that team should have in-depth knowledge though that would surely be beneficial for the whole project itself.
#2 is situational, though it is true but someone have their own takes of every risk.
3443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about USDT? on: December 11, 2020, 05:58:38 PM
It's our cover when storm of correction happens.I never fully got used to USDT because I didn't last that long to trading anyway.
It's simply a stable coin, opposite of Bitcoin that's why people tend to put their profits to USDT so that fluctuations could be avoided.
3444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop by if you are a PayPal user on: December 11, 2020, 05:57:13 PM
If you are a PayPal user and your account got blocked why trading crypto please kinda drop comment on here, the reason why I bring this up is because of I still find it hard to believe that PayPal is blocking users account for no reason sake, PayPal is after money and they knew that implementing crypto will bring them huge money, they won't want to chase away their customers and ruin their reputation, they know about better crypto exchanges out there, the competition is real
Dunno if it is their "TOO" strict KYC verification or it is just their way to rake a bit of money from their users. That's why I avoid Paypal most of the time.
My account, which I already expected to get locked, did. Now that they don't allow me anymore to use Paypal cause even with valid IDs, I still got no power to unlock my limitations there. Now I am just gonna wait 180 days for goodness sake.
3445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season probably won't happen like the past? on: December 11, 2020, 05:53:30 PM
Is there a possibility that only bitcoin will remain bullish this year? Can altcoin season be left out? The reason why I'm asking is some are already doubting, what if only very few altcoins grows higher in value and things failed to go the same way as that of 2017? What's your answer?
No one knows.
Bitcoin's price is unstable, but most likely we'll get correction like what's happening right now actually where it fell back from 19k to 17.9k as of writing this reply.
For altcoin season, we never know as well. Too many shitcoins to think if altcoins could still bound to exist one day.
3446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 09, 2020, 07:00:36 PM
Actually all of the IF's that have been stated are already known by the bounty hunters. They tend to work on bounty hunting even those facts are known to be expected upon pursuing a certain project. They tend to work on risks and trials for that is the way they are earning a living. They will spend time on an unsure project because nobody exactly knows what can happen on a bounty project unless it comes to an end and see the outcome if it will be a legitimate payable one or true suspected scam which is they have not been paid for the work done on promoting the project. The IF's mentioned are known by the bounty hunters but they still tend to work it out because mostly at this time, it is a sort of trial and error for them on finding a good bounty project that will give them a living. But still it is dependent on the bounty hunter if he will first analyze the project or a risk taker that will try the project to see for himself if it is a legit or a scam one.
Most of it are trial and errors now. I mean they won't surely want to miss the stakes of a single week assuming the project is legitimate. It's like a leap of faith for them and their hunting duties.
Finding legitimate project is another hard work to do as it involves a lot of extensive research and you might even consider going out of the forum just to look for clues.
3447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 09, 2020, 06:58:43 PM
Cryptocurrency is becoming a trend despite the shock of the COVID-19 pandemic. This actually raises a conspiracy regarding the possibility of changes in the financial world to use digital currency as one of the goals of the New World Order or the global elite.

COVID-19 itself has had an impact on worsening economies in many countries. But is there an adaptation of one world currency? Can Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies be a substitute for money in the future?
It is already a substitute for some merchants but not all. The pandemic seemingly became an opportunity for merchants to adopt it but due to how unstable the price is, they might find it hard to adopt it.
Plus asking for the number one world digital curency? I don't think we'll have one.
3448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lame use cases on: December 09, 2020, 06:56:55 PM
Is there a chance for food blockchain projects in crypto space? To me it feels ridiculous, why would a developer decide to build a food blockchain project when they can just implement popular coins as means of payment in their store, why creating tokens for this purpose? This is another example of junk use case in crypto space, I've seen many projects tried this years back and they all failed, simply because we don't need them I guess
Uhmm for business purposes, I suppose.
That's why they do coin offerings in the first place, OP. If they use the popular coins, then how can they use their own brand if they're using a coin of something else already.
3449  Other / Meta / Re: BITCOINTALK FORUM NEEDS A DEFI SUB-BOARD on: December 09, 2020, 06:55:42 PM
Everything non-Bitcoin would go to altcoin, that's why it is an "Alt" in the first place. It's like saying that there should be ICO boards, IEO boards, STO boards.
I don't support this suggestion, OP.
This is too much to handle as well for the moderators. It will create confusion as well because Defi already bombarded the Altcoin board.
3450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my curiosity on: December 08, 2020, 07:05:45 PM
It's no surprised that emporium.finance turned scam, I heard the DeFi token dumped from 200$ to 0.45$, well before I started promoting STOBOX I was planning to promote emporium finance but I just have a bad feeling about the project for these reasons

1. When I was signing up a telegram group link that belongs to emporium finance leads me to an airdrop channel  Huh

2. The admins don't reply to any tough questions, I mean I asked about whitepaper but the admin avoid the question and if you ask for other things you get a sharp reply, hmmmmm🤔🤔

3. The twitter account looks hijacked, it have many followers like a normal twitter account but it's an old account from 2012, are they trying to say that this project have been around since 2012 and they don't launch? Even in 2017 when they could have make lots of money through ICO success and bullrun?? Heheh

I knew something is wrong so I change my mind, today I'm glad I did because the team are scam and they've already packed the whole volumes and liquidity, I feel sorry for all those who invested in this project.. Sigh 😔
I guess that's an experience for you hmm. I want to share you as well that I was an airdrop hunter back then but I actually stopped for a reason that some projects tried to put me into their phishing site but sending me an email for making me claim their token from their site. It was an obvious trap because it was like modified MEW site.
3451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 08, 2020, 07:03:35 PM

I do not see why not hiding email addresses of bounty hunters in the spreadsheet should be a problem. It is one thing to get random mails and it is another thing to want to open them. I get that all the time. The heading is what I look at to know whether to delete them or not. Those not worth my attention I delete at once without reading. The only thing to avoid is not to use an official or important email address for bounty to avoid junk mails. Create a new mail for bounties.
It's quite annoying to delete emails sometimes especially in email platforms like Yahoo Mail.
I gotta scroll all the way down to each and every junk mails that were not needed.
I guess it is also platform's missing feature but still "prevention is better than cure". Use another email address. It is just that easy.
3452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with crypto is more accessible than ever on: December 08, 2020, 07:00:39 PM
i still think that BTC and ETH are the most useful for paying crypto - they have enough liquidity, and well-developed psp infrastructure. but for investment i think the best - defi projects for now
Useful isn't the right word, mate. Any cryptos were here for something( not you shitcoins). You would probably say "preferred" for paying because aside from popularity, you could also consider the scalability from the supply though network problem comes at place in here.
3453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like another big company will add crypto as payment soon on: December 08, 2020, 06:54:38 PM
Spotify? Didn't expect it though but it didn't "surprise" me cause surely many popular platforms should follow it slowly right now
I don't use the platform a lot so it's still a meh for me in the end.
Maybe gaming platforms would do like Steam.  Roll Eyes
3454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If crowdfunding started from IEO on: December 05, 2020, 06:57:53 PM
I'm just curious, if IEO was the first crowdfunding that came out with full hype just like ICO in 2017 would there still be better trusts on new projects today? I believe that IEO delivers more trust through top exchanges and that's why they are still very much alive today compare to ICO, what do you say?
Not really.
IEOs could be the trend still right now but I believe they started to disappear as well so there's no point on arguing on what should be the first  type of project to emerge in 2017. Although the investor's will to invest might have been impacted from the events of scams from ICOs though that's why IEOs still started to fade like ICOs did.
3455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile wallet is more important on: December 05, 2020, 06:55:48 PM
It's becoming a frustrating issue when new project you have interest in have no mobile wallet, for over a year and half now I've waited for a project to built their mobile wallet but nothing so far, what are developers thinking? We are in an era where by mobility is the best choice for most people, who still sits in from on a computer just to send coins ? You also have to keep syncing the coin blockchain too to stay updated.

Don't blame people for not investing when you aren't making things easier for them, mobile users are much more than PC users, dear developers start considering mobile wallet pls
But sometimes mobile can't be that so powerful the same as PC. I understand that mobile becomes a trend in many industries. Even in web developing industries where they prefer a website to be acceesible and readable in mobile devices.
The convenience is there in mobile for specific purpose but it's not having the same capabilities as the desktop machines we got.
3456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: good news for bitcoin at the moment on: December 05, 2020, 06:53:44 PM
~
I never expect that some merchants would accept alts for an item. I suppose crypto adoption we're all waiting for is slowly being a step forward.
I kinda remember that some merchants accept Bitcoin already in pizza before and that was quite a trend in the Bitcoin Board here back in 2018.
3457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 05, 2020, 04:14:45 PM
Sad thing is, they do

Most of the hunters know these things, but like robots that they are, they register and do whatever comes along.
Do a small analysis, and you will see that there's 70% of the same people in ALL active bounties.

That's right, they just register to whatever comes along and follow it blindly. It's like hit and miss for them.

Why do they do it?
Poverty, boredom, chance of new bitcoin.
Exactly.
Sometimes they just gotta need to risk it, because for sure the guilt of not being able to grab one and miss the legitimate project would hurt them a lot.
Finding scams is like their least priority or they just don't focus to it that much anymore.
3458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 05, 2020, 04:01:56 PM
Bounty managers please kindly start hiding emails in your spreadsheet because I always like using new email for bounty participation and I surprised that there are many offer mails in my email account, some are free airdrop some are affiliate marketing offers, I still remember that some people are selling email addresses online, it will be easier for such people to go through bounty spreadsheet and pack the whole email address
Why not just use a junk email? It isn't that hard to register new ones. Check the spreadsheet first if you're not yet sure if they show the email address of people.
Though I think showing email is quite bothering, but you can never control how a bounty manager does or manage his bounty.
Only best thing to do is not join or use a fake email address that isn't linked to any of your email addresses so that possible spreading of garbage mails would not happen.
3459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 05, 2020, 03:59:18 PM
Airdrops were so popular among the crypto-community over the years. One of the key features of the airdrops is, it gives every participant a chance to get some free tokens by completing few tasks. Most importantly it is totally free of charge. But nowadays we frequently see a trend where the organizers of some of the airdrops ask to send a small fee prior to sending the tokens. In some cases, they put a condition saying that in order to withdraw tokens or any fund received from the sale of tokens, it is mandatory to take part in their ICOs. I would rather call such events as "Scam-drops" as they not only dilute the meaning of airdrops, but also make people to move away from future events due to lack of trust.

In airdrops nowadays, according to my experience back then which might still happen these days, either you get the token you were promised at, get nothing and the thread of the airdrop disappears cause of newbie manager, or the worst, try to get baited from phishing site. While I am not stupid to fall for those fake My Ether Wallet sites, I wonder how many people suddenly lost their tokens from those though.
3460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins I have in my wallets on: December 05, 2020, 03:43:48 PM
I currently mining or have mined these altcoins, I would to know which coin the board thinks has a ggod chance of higher advancement in the future long or short term. The coin are : Bitbar, digibyte, zero, komodo, zel, vidulum, einsteinium, Lbry credit, bitcoin gold, verge, beenode, ycash, gleec, bitcoin sv, litecoin, zcsh, verus, bitcoinz, zclassic, and safecoin
I ain't familiar with any of the tokens you mentioned but I would just say goodluck to whatever comes ahead to earning those mined coins.
I once planned to mine cryptocurrency but I am quite too late just how expensive GPUs are now these days.
I am curious on why you mined those coins aside from the real Bitcoin though.
