3581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF HUNTERS on: September 27, 2020, 06:18:31 AM
~
Let's face the truth that some bounty hunters do that dumping and they're a lot, maybe you're just the tiny portion of those who just keep holding it.
Even if the team treat their bounty participants equally, they can't do anything once the BHs received their coins already. They're just gonna go separate ways.
3582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future holds for bitcoin on: September 25, 2020, 05:20:52 PM
BTC is gradually gaining its grounds in the financial institute. Most people prefer using bitcoin as a medium of exchange. Before the advent of bitcoin local and foreign currencies were the only means of financial transactions. Currently BTC has gone beyond bothers and has also made transactions safer and faster without much stress of converting from one currency to another. From my own opinion its a better way of accumulating wealth and secure a perfect future of cashless policy

"Perfect future of cashless policy" is kinda not convincing phrase for me actually. It's more like just an alternative to cash we got right now. I can't see the time where there won't be cash anymore since it's gonna be a bit difficult to get used to it. Confirmation of transaction becomes an issue and you never want your money to experience delay upon receiving especially if it is an urgent matter.
3583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brand new to bitcoin and need some help on: September 25, 2020, 05:18:16 PM
I just started with Bitcoin and it's a bit confusing. Naturally, after creating a wallet, I want to buy bitcoins and load the wallet. The first thing I'm asked for is my wallet address. How do I find that, please? I don't see it immediately when I open the wallet or any of the tabs.

Thanks. Huh
Find your preferred exchange to buy your first Bitcoins and send it to your wallet's address.
What wallet are you using anyway?
Careful on what wallets you use, by the way.
3584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Question to Crypto users about its security on: September 25, 2020, 05:16:46 PM
~
I took the word "security" in the other way, as I thought it was about the risk of getting hacked.  Grin
Before the person dies, he/she should just give the private key to who will inherit the coins. It's not lost forever if you take responsibility of YOUR coins.
It's YOUR coins, therefore you control it to where it will go right now and to the future (well if you aren't using online wallets which is a different discussion). What do you mean by not really "secured" currency? If I don't give my private keys to anyone, it's secured to me. Before I die I would give the private keys to someone I trust and it will be secured to him.
3585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the next trend for 2021? on: September 25, 2020, 05:06:20 PM
Another trend next to Defi, oh wait we're already at Uniswap, oh wait we're about to be in NFT trend.
It's kinda crazy that many acronyms are being a trend now in altcoins and somehow I believe that most of it would just be like what happened to projects before like ICOs, IEOs, etc.
3586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers targeting Youtube accounts to promote their projects on: September 24, 2020, 04:14:12 PM
Okay this certain Youtuber become like a sudden trend in my news feed when I opened my Facebook recently. I thought it was just like the common hack that happens and they would just post random craps claiming that they hacked the account. Aren't these hackers just a bit foolish to do this?
This just would make the investors trust less though, because pretty much the subscribers would be aware that the content of their favorite youtube is gone for good.
Only thing to worry about is that there might be someone posting that channel in a random platform and claiming that they have many subscribers to make them less suspicious to new people.
3587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: September 24, 2020, 04:07:27 PM
Don't really understand what the problem is about social media campaigns like twitter eliminating the bounty scam, can that really be proven?

Prior to this time, there have been many social campaigns in the past and that does not remove bounties or scam projects. If the campaign is run using Bitcoin then obviously I think it will guarantee a legit project, but if the payment will still involve their own token even though the campaign is done using Twitter, I personally would still doubt it.
Well sometimes it still depends on the manager that handles the campaign.
There has been many incidents of fake campaigns in the past, that's why escrow is pretty much recommended when a manager is simply new to handling these unless he/she wants to be questioned which is just a natural thing to happen anyway.
3588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ∧ Shape In Price on: September 24, 2020, 04:00:48 PM
Have you noticed whether all old cryptocurrencies went through ∧ shape in price?

Will all cryptocurrencies have gone thru this and let people make big profit?
Not all. Check CMC, some would just repeat the wave again.
Expect that shapes to shitcoins, OP.
They don't tend to last long for even a single night due to many dumps happening, causing the price to flatten after the whole day of being sold by different types of people who gets them.
3589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest AIRDROP in the history of cryptocurrency on: September 24, 2020, 03:58:24 PM
i think Uniswap Airdrop token (uni) is currently the biggest Airdrop in the history of cryptocurrency. to drop a whopping sum of $450,000,000 IS Something so huge. i stand to be corrected if i am wrong. i believe that the every successful project does not care about dumpers that will dump token after sales or distribution. 40% of the successful participants in the Uni airdrop dumped their rewards in the exchange and it is interesting that the price never went below 3usd.

this is to tell you that a successful project needs no market manipulation to drive volume. it is simple. develop a token, have a very good use-case and watch your project thrive in the market.
Well dumpers would always be there anyway, what you would expect to airdrops?
Is this really the biggest airdrop, not like I would expect these airdrops to be that big anyway because like me having a trust issues to these kind of schemes already when one tried to phish me long time ago.
3590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF FAKE GIVEAWAYS IN DISGUISE AS UNISWAP on: September 23, 2020, 02:25:23 PM
The scammers in the crypto community will not cease to take cheap advantage of newbies using successfully conducted projects to scam them.
A team of scammers are at it again using the name of UNISWAP to conduct a fake giveaway to steal from the unsuspecting newbies. The giveaway is announced through a medium post claimed to be UNISWAP's with other scam team members commenting to give testimonies about what they've earned from the giveaway to attract people to be their victims. A check on Uniswap Twitter and telegram channel doesn't contain anything about the giveaway. Don't fall for it. It's a scam.

Since this UNISWAP becomes like a trend right now when I heard that there is an airdrop happening, just to tell other people that some giveaways would like email you to claim your rewards already in their site. This happens often if you filled up some form.
When you manage to land to some somehow "modified" wallet site like MEW, close that tab/window because it is an attempt to steal your private keys as well.
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: September 23, 2020, 02:16:31 PM
~

#2 is quite common reasons these days as an announcement. Either it is done in a Telegram channel or here in the forum.
This is why I don't do them before.
The 3 month work you made could just be destroyed in just a blink of an eye by a single announcement and there's not even a dang thing that you can do about it even if you make a Scam Accusation because they pretty much just did their exit scam as well.
3592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the 10 best bounty managers on BTT forum? on: September 23, 2020, 01:22:11 PM
This is an old rating, many participants no longer engage in bounty campaigns
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4528038.0

Here is a list of bounty campaigns that pay rewards in cryptocurrency, contact bounty managers. They have the highest ratings.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.msg6815569#msg6815569

in this section bounty campaigns are held, for which, as a rule, they pay with project tokens
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0
Should that thread be updated soon or someone would just update it in a new thread?
There's a lot of user missing there that already have experiences with signature campaigns.
One would be our current campaign manage : CryptopreneurBrainboss
as well as the previous manager: Hhampuz.

@OP There are many BMs that weren't mentioned from that old thread, so I would suggest looking up to trust histories of any users. There are many of them offering their campaign management in the Services section.
3593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bloody market on: September 23, 2020, 01:17:24 PM
is the uniswap airdrop the reason for the bloody market as we can all see?? millions of dollars wer airdrops to over 80k ethereum addresses and more are still being given out for free..

will the market pickup anytime soon?? is it safe to buy ethereum at this price.. ?? or I wait ??
Buy only if want. Not sure that any uniswap I heard lately would be practically the reason why we got this price right now, and it's nothing to be worried about anyway.
And no we aren't in a bloody market although that might be subjective to some people.
Just keep buying if you have anything that you don't mind losing.
3594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 21, 2020, 04:36:56 PM
Peoples fine it difficult to understand what is cryptoccurrency most especially bitcoin, but their interested over cryptoccurrency.
I just suggest that their should be a TEXT BOOK that will discuss about cryptoccurrency in order to educate people who are interested because referring them to online shows that know Manuel evidence of cryptoccurrency. And if their is any article that guide bitcoin.
Finding textbooks would be quite difficult for some people. Learning Bitcoin is really a large topic to be discussed of. We got the market side and the technological side. In market side, we got the behavior of its price, the decentralized aspect, etc. In technical side, we got mining, anything about the wallet such as the address generation, softwares, and many many more. That would be insane if done in textbook that you might end up filling a shelf full of Bitcoin-only textbooks.
We got an internet already as a resource. Better save that money for dropping it into Bitcoin instead of buying all these books although buying few is still okay.
It's like learning programming and buying all books for each languages while you can learn it online and someone can explain it easily for ya.
3595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: September 21, 2020, 04:30:21 PM
A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.

Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?

And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?
Red flags? Moderated ANN Thread. Newbie OP.
If you see a lot of deleted post, better leave that thread already.
I usually check Scam Accusation board for any ongoing investigation about a certain project, regardless if it is an ICO, IEO, STO, if any.
When there ain't single Scam Accusation, I just tread around the site of the project itself. Check the domain registration date. Check the Github repositories if such progress is being made, if there's any.
3596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys tackle information overload? on: September 21, 2020, 04:25:32 PM
#1 is indeed hard to do since you might get along with those coins that were just for hypes and then ended up just getting dumped after the price surged up.
Sometimes I don't do number 3, because there are biased news articles and I don't want to believe to false claims/reports. Waste of money as well as my time.
3597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty scam will gradually go away on: September 19, 2020, 01:43:52 PM
Just recently we are beginning to have some Twitter campaign giving hunters reward in btc in the service section. This is one sure way to take off this muster that seem like a cancer called bounty scam.

I'm believing that gradually, will may start seeing the inclusion of other social media signatures like Facebook, LinkedIn, medium, article, videos, blogs and many more, coming up in  both bounty section and service. I'm sure that hunters will prefer social media signature than the scam going on in the board.

I guess one reason that we are seeing that Twitter campaign is because of the audit which takes care of non real followers of an account. So if your Twitter account isn't made of real followers, you stand no chance of being selected. The audit is surely to check out accounts with fake followers and that is also good to stop scamming.
They're in fixed rates and managed by reputated/veteran members and that's still few, mate.
Go to Bounties board and check how many projects you aren't sure of even joining.
Some are managed by newbies, devs from the team itself, and  those who don't even have experience in managing a bounty.
Those twitter campaign paying BTCs you see don't happen very often.
3598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Transparent in it if team behind the coin is anonymous on: September 19, 2020, 01:38:14 PM
These days, I've seen a lot of project where people ask in the telegram group like. Where is team profile? . The answer they get is team is anonymous. I'm always like, why? Why would they prefer to stay anonymous. Is there any reason behind this or are they just copying satoshi?
Because after knowing this, many people still go on to invest on an anonymous Erc20 token project with no useful purpose. I would love to see if there is a good reason behind this anonymity.
Who among the foolish person in this world would copy satoshi through anonymity? It doesn't even make investors think that it is a legitimate project just because Bitcoin is created by another anonymous group or a person.
They just can't face the fact that they'll be hunted down when they run away with the money that's why they prefer to stay anonymous.
When I see that kind of project, I just immediately turn it down and walk away.
3599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we convince those countries that see crypto as illegal? on: September 19, 2020, 01:35:24 PM
~
Mine is just warning about investing in ponzi schemes. I guess they were aware already of its existence long time ago, but they don't mind to do it at anytime. It's just that some government knows that they can't regulate it fully because coins like Bitcoin is decentralized. Well sort of if you aren't using online wallets.

For illegal countries, I don't think that we can't stop them from banning it. Each country have their own reasons from banning it. There could be due to many money launderers or fear of terrorism.

We just gotta accept that some can't accept cryptos.
3600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: September 17, 2020, 05:19:23 PM
If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty would you reveal the identity?

Vote Yes or No?

Discuss ...

EDIT1:

Would your choice be influenced on the basis that the candidate was already dead or still alive?
Nah, unless you want a lot of mics waiting in front of your door the next day.
I don't think it matters anyway on who they really are. No one knew his real identity from the last decade, and I don't think it will do anyway. Maybe we'll just get fake-toshis around.
