3981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us" on: January 17, 2020, 05:51:07 PM
I only promoting bitcoin to other people brave faced with moment where some time bitcoin with lower price and never give advertising of bitcoin with some person is afraid faced bad moment when bitcoin down, I have faced with many people when promoting investment site and always make me fault because their investment have down and scam, only ready when getting profit but not have ready when price down or scam.
Wise enough. Truly bitcoin needs all the support and publicity it can get. It's already big we all know but it can still become something greater. We just need to be wise when it comes to promoting or advertising the use or investing on cryptocurrencies particularly bitcoins to ensure that it would not backfire to us or to bitcoin in the long run. Just some proper heads-up to people who are aspiring to become bitcoin investors.
I don't think it will backfire that much anyway. Even if their government decided to ban cryptos, they'll surely buy and sell personally where government wouldn't notice it.
Bitcoin is kinda being promoted anyway indirectly in popular shows in TV. Commonly you would hear it in midnight talk shows or even podcasts.
3982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin ideas do you have? Share it! on: January 17, 2020, 05:47:02 PM
In connection of what you wanted to happen, since I love to really write programs. When I get into the stage that I can write real-life applications as I finish my studies, I'd love to write programs that would make Bitcoin be more accessible than ever. Apps like the one I use here in my own country becomes like a motivating factor for me to pursue my studies harder as well as studying Blockchain whenever I get the time to do so.
3983  Economy / Reputation / Re: My acc has been hacked and used to post scam thread! on: January 17, 2020, 10:36:45 AM
I had the same issue as you before, and mine was from Turkey instead.
Logging out will also end your session as what Theymos told me in PM, just in case that changing password didn't do. Just make sure you scanned and cleaned your PC before you make these changes.

Here's my thread resolving my issue before : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5217251.msg53594867#msg53594867
Read everyone's reply to my thread. I'd like to thank them again for helping me with the case.
3984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reality of Crypto Winter and what to expect from now on on: January 16, 2020, 06:24:59 PM
Adoption is quite slow, but I like what you're saying and wishing that it would be accelerated. Looking at it from afar, you could see that adoption we already have especially in Bitcoin is quite large now.  The bulls are taking the tables slowly like right now BTC = 8.5k USD. While this is still the initiation of the year 2020, we might have some more in the half of the year. 10k breach or push it up to 15k?
3985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 16, 2020, 06:22:56 PM
I could've held few coins that are already in top. You can never expect a lot of altcoins that will hold out for 2 years. I remembered that I was hodling AION back then but when I checked its price now, it is kinda low.
While we can expect that altcoins could follow Bitcoin's footstep sometimes in terms of its value, not all can sustain through bearish trend.
3986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 16, 2020, 05:02:28 PM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?

Well major adoption is gonna surely happen, but I can't still see it yet as something that would replace fiat. I had read this thread in the Bitcoin Discussion, almost the same as this topic. In the end, people would still convert BTC to USD unless we get that 100% adoption around the globe. It is still quite possible for fiats to be replaced, but people seemed to be got used to the traditional way of paying and making a transaction.
3987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: January 16, 2020, 04:57:51 PM
Now that most of the people are well aware of scam ICOs, scammer has found another way to scam people. I have observed 3 projects till now which I will list here and give you a highlights how they scam people, specially the newbie.

1. Privcy
Privacy was a free airdropped coin which was distributed freely over the community for helping promoting the project. Later, they decide to reward more to the holder of the coin in airdrops. The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get. Newbies started to buy coins for getting more airdrop coin and DEV were selling their coin. I am sure they had a lot of fake accounts participating in the Airdrop. Can you believe they scammed people in such a way? Now, the project is died, 24 hour volume is- $620 which was less than $100 couple of weeks ago.

2. Profish
Profish was an ICO which came into the exchange before the bounty end. They were listed in mercatox and used to have some fake volumes. I don't know what happened to their ICO but they sold a lot of coins through mercatox and later, the price is now 1 or 2 satoshi from 650 satoshi. This is also a dead project. They scammed people.

3. Helios Protocol- Be aware
Helios Protocol is now airdropping coin to their community. This attract my eyes when I see user vectisitch was vouching the project. He was a moderator in privcy, so, there's no doubt that both of the project are from same person and this helios shit is also going to scam money. I want to alert you guys not to invest in this scam project.
Here is the vouching comment- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118682.msg50087444#msg50087444

"The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get."
Reading that already tells me that I should drop the hodling. There is no way that an experienced hodler would fall for that. Thankfully you indicated "newbies".  This ain't familiar projects for me, but I am quite swayed on the methods these scammers do. Even with high discounts in pre-sale of coins, I am already raising an alarm to it.
3988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is IEO better than ICO? on: January 16, 2020, 04:53:13 PM
Definitely IEO is some better than ICO but in the some specific exchanges IEO's. But there are no difference between fake exchanges IEO's instead of ICO's if you willing to compared. Trusted big exchanges IEO's can something guaranteed to safe your money and huge profitable.

People are not interested to invest an ICO project because here a lot of confusion about exchange listing.

Somehow it is slightly better, but once the IEO project goes away from the top exchanges, that's gonna need a lot of investigation for sure. We can say a certain project work also at the exchange that their coins will be listed but turns out it is a scam anyway, and from that, people should be wary. I don't know if most of these upcoming IEOs are planning to get listed in tops though like Binance.
3989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: January 16, 2020, 04:51:07 PM
A team could comply from the requirements of the exchange. Let's eliminate that it is a scam project. Let's say that it is legitimate one. Does being a legitimate project promise that it will be a profitable in the end, or it is just gonna be another dead coin in the end?
I think Binance Launchpad could help people to invest in IEOs though, because it covers the upcoming projects also.
3990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still bigger in 2019 from all other Commodities on: January 16, 2020, 04:02:52 PM
I read an article some days ago from CNN saying since bitcoin establishments in 2009 it has been the best Investment asset and the best in the last decade. So 2019 has to be no different, we focus on highs of bitcoin without observing the lows. Assuming we were paying attention to the lows we'll understand bitcoin has always been profitable year in year out. The volatile of bitcoin is what make it profitable, it can be low today but in matter of minutes give you 10-30% return of investment and matter of days give you 100% ROI, that's something most assets can't boost off.

Well if we put it in a big picture, it's like Bitcoin only moves up generally. Every year the price just goes up, and it is the only commodity I am aware of that increases rapidly unlike the mentioned commodities by the OP which is due to inflation as well as the demand plus it is regulated by the government anyway in the end.
I've read this page in Wikipedia about the price each year of Bitcoin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_bitcoin#Prices_and_value_history
Observe that even if it went from 31 USD to 2 USD the same year of 2011, it still managed to bounce back still.
3991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of net worth do you invest in cryptocurrency? on: January 16, 2020, 03:51:14 PM
If I'll get into full-time job soon, I think I'll allocate 2.5% for now but it'll increase slowly with a ceiling of up to 10%. Getting higher than 10% is quite high already for such investments only although there is guaranteed profits regardless of the condition of the market.

3992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 16, 2020, 03:47:49 PM
Yes, it is indeed like that because let's accept the fact for now that there ain't majority of establishments using Bitcoin and paying Bitcoin to replenish their supplies or merchandise. It's like we should aim for 95% adoption before every single establishments uses and accepts Bitcoin and they won't convert anymore to fiat.
3993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 16, 2020, 03:44:48 PM
I've seen that it's possible to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain using mesh network antennas, satellites and even radio waves. This is great, because it further decentralizes Bitcoin as we know it. But I'm wondering if it's possible to send/receive Bitcoin over Bluetooth? Considering that most devices of today are powered by Bluetooth, it's much easier for anyone to interact with Bitcoin this way than using satellites, and other means mentioned previously.

Do you think something like this is possible these days? If so, how can I do this with my mobile device? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley

We still don't know if that may be possible, but it would be great. Bluetooth does not need internet to pass files, because even when I need to pass a file and we have no internet connection, we always do it through Bluetooth. So it would be a breakthrough and a great opportunity to transfer bitcoin without the need for internet. I hope this technology is given.

It's okay and it is surely possible actually considering you can transfer any sort of files there. I've read that Airblitz has this feature of sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth.
It's quite unique, but I am kinda thinking of things like its security, especially if pair-keys are kinda hackable so that it will get sent to the hacker instead of the real receiver.
3994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some Tips For Crypto Lovers To Avoid Scam on: January 15, 2020, 06:22:01 PM
1. Keep your tokens/coins in private wallet if you are not trading it.

2. There are many scammers now a days, be aware of them

3. On telegram there are many people trying to scam by impersonating admin of projects, be aware.

4. If any airdrop/bounty/giveaway is asking for money or private key to redeem your coin/token, exit immediately.

5. Do not keep your private key in your email or computer, write it on paper and keep it on safe place.

6. Keep yourself away from cheap pump/dump groups, admins of those groups are dumping on people by giving buy signals to people.

7. Always do your own research before you invest in any project. Do not invest in ponzi scheme who promise to give big ROI.

8. If you are new to crypto world then try to invest in top coins only to avoid scam projects.

9. If you do not have money but want to have crypto then you can join bounty/Airdrop. To get good bounties/airdrops easily you can join this group on telegram @cryptoearnfree

10. Never click any website link from your email.

11. Always double check website link when you login to exchange or private wallet and always try to fill it manually, do not google it.

12. To get official website links of exchanges or crypto projects you can get it from coinmarketcap.

For newbies, #1 specifically says that you should put it in either hardware wallet or desktop wallet. Just don't use online wallet, as it makes no difference as leaving your money inside an exchange where it is vulnerable to be robbed by hackers or any attackers that would attempt to make damages to the site as well as user's sanity.

If anyone is using MEW most of the time, don't forget to bookmark the original site. I already had an experience before in almost getting scammed and robbed by attempting to make me put my private key into their site so that I can claim their shit coin which is gonna stay shit for all these years to come.
3995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 start of a fresh market for crypto. on: January 15, 2020, 06:18:49 PM
Keep thinking positive but don't take it too far. We had breached 8.5k mark and trying to push through 9k. I still don't expect that it will dip 9k anytime soon although it dipped 8.8k. I just feel like there's gonna be a lot of people selling through this bull run we're having already.
3996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth That Will Eventually Kill Bitcoin on: January 15, 2020, 05:43:19 PM
Bitcoin has been killed so many times by so many people but it’s still standing firm against all odds. I don’t say bitcoin has no odds but I also admit and say it’s the future way of transferring value from one person to another. Governments and other centralized financial institutes fear bitcoin and there is some reason for this fear.

You'll have a good time reading this Bitcoin Obituaries, in fact it stated in the site that Bitcoin died 379 times already. Government have their fears in this, because they're never gonna know what's going on behind the scenes of cryptos due to anonymity. You can never blame or hate those countries that banned them although I was just thinking of that they should at least just require KYC, though I hate KYC policy.
3997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us" on: January 15, 2020, 05:39:20 PM
~

I won't agree thoroughly with this. Because in my country, people are not aware. Some haven't even heard the name bitcoin before. You don't know how many more people who are out there that just haven't heard of bitcoin. I'm sure you heard of Jesus. In fact, I'll say everyone has. That's the way I wish bitcoin is. Even if they don't believe in it, let them know about it. 🤷‍♂
That's kinda sad. I guess starting up with referring to relatives or friends would be a good start. A straightforward advertising to the public would be just a waste of money and time. They'll just be bored to death when they're gonna start learning about Blockchain also. Somehow it is being mentioned anyway in TV Shows, so that's that for a bit of unexpected commercial/advertisement for Bitcoin.

Maybe people are just aware of its existence, but they just don't know how it works.
3998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Experiment , generate more bitcoin by buying TOP 10 alt-coins 2020. on: January 15, 2020, 03:00:40 PM
The problem is, the vast majority of cryptocurrency investors have little to no understanding of market dynamics, nor what constitutes a good versus a bad investment.

Because of this, inexperienced investors could easily be lulled into investing in a low-cap sh*tcoin just because it apparently has a good concept, despite there being no development or spine to the project.

As such, I would actually recommend that newbie investors don't take their financial matters into their own hands. If you're not experienced, don't enter a game where experience is key—it's as simple as that.

With that said, I recommend that new, inexperienced or trigger-happy traders look for an experience crypto finance manager, who can help grow your portfolio without doing the work.

Unless that newbie is rich though. He could learn through losses even if that's such a stupid idea of his to not get an advisor or get some finance manager that you mentioned.
Sometimes it becomes like a subjective investment for newbies, and they can't conceptualize what they're gonna invest.
Let's say that they just invest in Bitcoin because it gets higher in price often, like they can't think something else especially the usefulness it brought when paying bills or buying through merchants that accepts it.
3999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Beats ETH very hard Soon on: January 15, 2020, 02:44:05 PM
This BSV coin becomes like a trend here in altcoin. I've seen plenty of threads of this recently and I don't know what's going on. It's the same thing as Bitcoin Cash before, but in the end if I'll choose between these, it is gonna be ETH.
4000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: January 15, 2020, 02:40:48 PM
The answers of people here becomes as an advice already for me so here's the revision of the plan of investments that I am gonna do. BTC of course because it is like the mother of coins for me in crypto-space.
ETH because it seems like the greatest alternative if Bitcoin isn't doing so well, but again why not both right and finally BNB, since I've been trading in Binance before it didn't fail me in my trades although I didn't earn when I started learning.
