3801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another scam project please stop scamming on: March 13, 2020, 05:36:57 PM
You might need to make a post in Scam Accusation thread and bring out all the evidences that would prove your claims.

Never heard of that that coin but its name is already suspicious from hearing it, like everyone knows what the "hustle" word means, right?
@#2 What were their reasons of not paying in those months? Were updates made for explanation of the delays? I don't think that it should take a whole month or two just to get the participants paid unless they do not have budget but it shouldn't be the case because they could've allocated the budget already for the bounty.
3802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad projects equals Bad results on: March 13, 2020, 05:32:33 PM
This makes me remember Tokoin and tachyon protocol bounty campaign, after hunters are paid they made huge profits from this bounties and still the value are rising and not dumped, so my question is why are other bounties getting ruined after launch? Or after hunters sell their rewards? Probably because they are bad projects, hunters aren't to be blame here isn't it? Good projects will never dumped because hunters sell off
You already answered your own question. There are just massive dumps happening and that's why they don't last for 1 night. Sometimes the project becomes bad just because how the participants of certain bounties treat the reward they got. Let's accept that many will just aim for the quick profit, and they'll just sell and sell whenever they want. Finding good projects is quite hard these. You might end up a legitimate project, but not worth the price of yor work.
3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: March 13, 2020, 05:29:47 PM

~

I've found it odd that Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin stated that "crypto will go to zero" in the future. After all, crypto has been able to survive after 11 years since inception. If crypto has gotten this far, I believe that it could reach new heights over time. With many people joining the crypto/Blockchain ecosystem, it's very unlikely that crypto will go to zero anytime soon. But as it's said in the real world, "nothing lasts forever". We should be prepared for the worst if the market starts to decline massively in price like never before. Just my opinion Smiley
I don't know who Vitalik is, but I am pretty sure he's the same as those people bringing words to crypto like Mcafee. Crypto going to zero is purely impossible for me. It will just be a dynamic entity. It will just change but it won't die especially Bitcoin as per people claiming its death compiled in Bitcoin Obituaries.  "Nothing lasts forever" just means change for me. It doesn't mean that things like technology will die.
3804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MESSAGE TO BOUNTY MANAGERS on: March 13, 2020, 05:26:06 PM
I was a participant to one of Julerz's campaign back in the days and actually he handled it pretty well. He made sure that every participant is still wearing the signature until the campaign ends.

That idea is quite new to me and it could filter out participants in the campaign, whether they're just careless bounty hunters who would just speak to complain.
3805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was $3,871 on this day - 1 year ago on: March 13, 2020, 03:33:41 PM
Right now Bitcoin is swinging back and forth around 5.2k to 5.9k lately, so we might expect a purely randomness in its volatility. We might dip into that price back in 2019 and hey I felt the pain that year but I didn't panic at least and people here shouldn't also just like those people panicking in their nearest supermarket thinking that they'll need all the things that they bought out of panic.
3806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friday the 13th unlucky for Bitcoin too! on: March 13, 2020, 03:23:42 PM
Are you sure that it is unlucky, OP? Seems like that floor is just raising year by year and I think that's fairly normal for the price actually. Maybe not the best opportunity to buy a lot but for us hodling since the fall from 20k back in the days, this is just a normal day. I've seen the worse which is below 4k last year and it didn't felt unlucky as that was like more opportunity for me to buy more coins to hodl and it paid off as it pushes to 12k around this year, it felt more than worth it.
3807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stock Market took a huge dive, Cryptocurrency follows on: March 13, 2020, 03:18:18 PM
WRONG.
cryptocurrencies are all following bitcoin price which is why they are dumping 10% harder than bitcoin. and bitcoin is currently following a big panic in the market that has unknown origins and has nothing to do with stock market crashing since bitcoin has never followed and is not following any other market including stock market ever. i find it absurd that some people are trying to convince everyone that after 11 years bitcoin has suddenly decided to follow another market!
Seems like it, almost everything in CMC are all in red right now actually with just a little difference to the decrease. Due to the disease being declared pandemic, it seems like it is expected that the market will get a lot of panic selling although. I didn't know that stock market was crashing already though as I don't trade stocks just yet.
Bitcoin even fell below 4k last year and it isn't in line with what happen to the traditional market.
3808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset? on: March 13, 2020, 03:14:39 PM
Basically I agree about "safe-haven" assets and don't think that the COVID-19 incident will really affect any market in the world, or maybe the collapse of the bitcoin market because of a process for the bullish market after the halving event and honestly, I still hesitant to say about the collapse of the bitcoin market because of the impact of the corona virus because everything happens simultaneously when chaos continues to increase in many sectors in the world because of this corona virus outbreak.
To see the the COVID-19 being declared as pandemic, it does seem like to have a significant effect to it. What's the other thing that we could think of the cause of this crash?
However on the brighter side, Bitcoin landed almost the same crash last year except that it was below 4k before so we can still think the conclusion that the Corona Virus effect to Bitcoin is still just a coincidence although we can expect that many are panicking in other countries now.
3809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bangladesh has a significant amount of Bitcoin trader on: March 12, 2020, 03:15:35 PM
Will govt ever consider to legitimate BTC in Bangladesh? I don't see any hope so far but the volume can never be decreased because of the usefulness BTC has.

Well if Bangladesh government learn from their neighbouring India to allow bitcoin trading or at least regulate it, then there is that possibility. But it looks like the government is really bent on not allowing crypto to flourish, then I guess we can say that they won't make a sudden U-turn. As for the trading volume, the question is how accurate the data is, and where are the source.
Do people from Bangladesh still have access to crypto-related sites, meaning that they're just not allowed to cross through the banks when earning in crypto but they can still trade like usual?
I guess they're just using VPNs that's why these trading volume gets pumped, but I am not sure though. They could also be trading personally but it shouldn't affect the volume at all.
3810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to see another PANIC on: March 12, 2020, 03:12:14 PM
I heard the sudden fall in price was due to a loss of around 15k BTC in a scheme. I think the fall is not that significant because this is not the first time we have witnessed this before. Even sometimes it was tougher than this and it is only a matter of time before the bitcoin and other cryptos will recover. I am very optimistic the fall in price has opened a way for some people to acquire more crypto. Almost all the top 10 cryptos have dropped to at least -10% which is a good time to buy.
Right now, it doubled to -22% according to CMC.
I am starting to believe now that the virus has a large impact to the market now, and probably we should see below 6k if it doesn't happen to recover anytime soon, but hey that's an opportunity to buy more BTC especially after the outbreak ends we should see a bit of a recovery. Let's try to be at least be a bit optimistic that there won't be plenty of panic but there should be numbers.
3811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **TAKE YOUR COINS OFF EXCHANGES** on: March 12, 2020, 03:06:25 PM
Quite a good advice and it’s no longer something new because I know for sure that this has repeated over a hundred times in this forum. And also I don’t think that those that stores their coins on exchanges are newbies, because most of the newbies that starts making use of Bitcoin starts with their private wallets, but as time goes on and they get to hear about exchanges like Binance and Bittrex, that’s when they start to hop on them.

All the above, I don’t think there’s any amount of persuasion you will give that will make people to remove their coins from exchanges, it’s their choice.
Still it is gonna be a common mistakes and bad habit that new people will do once they just started in here. I think we should consider emphasizing guidelines for newbies trading in whatever coins they're planning to trade. Not for how to earn because everyone has their own strategy anyway, but rather putting up guidelines that would keep their money safe just like how MEW warns their user before creating their first wallet.
3812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin mining a problem of wasting energy? No on: March 12, 2020, 02:59:37 PM
It is a wasting because it could be done with staking, that way the could shouldn't need miners. And i think this is why ETH is moving to PoS.

And it's a waste if the energy cost is bigger than the mined coins...
Sometimes it's just a waste of energy because the thing is the amount of bitcoin that they are mined was just bigger than the electricity bill of the used energy by the bitcoin mining so I say that somehow it is just a waste of energy because there are a lot of kilowatts that is used by but not suitable enough for the bitcoin mining so it is kind of wasting some of our energy especially right now that the electricity supply was not enough to sustain all the needs of the people.
I feel like it also depends on the rigs used by the miners. I read back in the days that people can use ASIC miner rather than using their usual GPU for mining Bitcoin. In terms of consumption energy, I am not sure if in the future we could make renewable energy to power up these mining so that it could at least lessen the usage of electricity, because in some countries that becomes the barrier for people to mine cryptos.
3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It doesn't look like on: March 11, 2020, 04:39:18 PM
No point worrying. Of all the data that we have, this is only data on the two past halvings, as a result of which the price of bitcoin has always grown and set new records.

Therefore, if you are worried, I recommend that you take profit now and wait for the halving.
Probably immediately after it there will be a decline in prices that will provide a good opportunity to enter the market

I don't think that it is gonna be profit time for them just yet but if opportunities to sell shows off, then they should take it if they're somehow driven by their emotion already. Looks like we're getting a panics from a lot of people, huh?
It is just like the post-20k period of Bitcoin wherein the price went sharply down to 7k from 20k.
Just hodl, and if there's gonna be something to sell, it would be just those coins that won't even last overnight.
3814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: March 11, 2020, 04:36:59 PM
Solution comes from yourself, OP.
What do you do anyway before joining bounties? It's not like all the bounties do not pay you. They're probably just behind the crowd of scammers and you should take effort to find one that should feel like the "worthy" to invest. I feel like that bounty hunters should remember their experience on the previous projects they joined at so that they're gonna be aware if the next project bounty that they're gonna join at is just like a carbon copy of the previous and they'll see that it isn't have the high possibility of being profitable bounty.
3815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto giveaway scams and how to spot them on: March 11, 2020, 04:31:55 PM
Too good to be true. It should be in the local news headlines if it is a legitimate giveaway. I don't get it why people would fall for these scams. That is even below beginner's type of scam, and many people should already notice how shady the giveaway is. Not directly to the scams mentioned by the OP, but I remembered back in the days when I joined airdrops and I am almost 90% certain that it is just scam. Turns out they were emailing people to claim their tokens by putting their wallet into their site along with their private keys. That's when I saw that it is indeed a scam.
3816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not blame it on Corona outbreak on: March 11, 2020, 04:28:34 PM
It is just their sudden reaction from the issue, and we shouldn't be surprised by that kind of reaction because everything seems like so sudden and somehow a bit of a coincidence to happen at the same time. Remember that we breach 10k price of Bitcoin just when the early days of the outbreak and people thought that majority are now in crypto. I even remember that Bitcoin pump before, just few months back, was due to the Iran and USA friction.  Cheesy
3817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Now Legal In India? on: March 11, 2020, 01:03:50 PM
I can see it from another different approach.
Cryptos are legalised in South Korea and recently the government encourage people tu use crypto for paiement to maximly avoid body contact that helps Corona virus to spread. the Bank of England advises people to wash their hands after handling money because it can hold bacteria and viruses. So it's adviseble to set a contactless system for regular paiements. Nothing but the technology can help in this case .
It's maybe another initiative from India after the news that the virus can be transmitted by money touch.
I read that already in other threads here and I am still surprised that it isn't legalised before in SK, judging that it is almost like it is a developed country as Japan so I expect that it is widely used there by now.
Somehow I see the current outbreak also as an angle of why we're getting many legalization lately, but on the other side of my thoughts, Fed is also quarantining money to avoid the spread of the virus though.
3818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as Means of Donation on: March 11, 2020, 01:00:32 PM
~
Definitely, because it will undergo enormous amount of verification and might take days to fully verify and receive by the charities, unlike through bitcoin, the transaction speed will depend in the miners and verification is fast. Plus, the anonymity of the donor will be preserved.

~

The main thing I like about this is that people can donate no matter how much it is, and will not worry about being indentified. So, for some angels out there's with pure heart to donate, bitcoin is the best option to do so, just like what the other people here say about the mixers that they can use in order to make the transaction unidentifiable.
I never donated yet in the charity, because I don't know how it is supposed to be done. I am surprised that verification is being done to these yet, but good thing Bitcoin already covered that for us. I have a similar app to that though and it is being used in my country locally and it is Coins.ph. It is somehow a multi purpose and not just for donation though. I am happy that these donation through Bitcoin is being put into thought though and not just merely buying products in the internet.
3819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever lost access to your Bitcoins? on: March 11, 2020, 12:57:36 PM
What is your story of not being able to access your Bitcoin wallet with Bitcoins in them.

What have you tried to retrieve them?

My case is a bit more complex. Normally I take backups of my Bitcoin wallets, so there is no question of losing the access. However, I had accounts in a few cryptocurrency exchanges, which are now defunct. Wex.nz and Cryptopia are some of the exchanges in which I had account. When these exchanges closed down, I lost the access to my coins. And worse still, the amount was quite significant for me, at least in the case of Cryptopia.
That kinda hurts though.
Wouldn't they post a notice ahead of the closure that will happen or did they just seemingly ran away with all your coins and asset or at least contact all their users through email? It seems like finding a lot of exchange isn't really that good, when you're planning to have a strategy of finding better rate for the coins you want to trade. I never knew these exchanges as I was just sticking to Binance.
3820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's End Game on: March 11, 2020, 12:53:30 PM
~
I'm very doubtful on government making their own cryptocurrency, why? simply because they are going to create a counterpart of bitcoin which is a centralized one. So most probably they will prohibit the use of bitcoin if ever they come up to create on their own cause they don't want anything that hurdles their creation especially their regulation. Banks by that time will surely be working with digital payments as well as digital investments.
I have mixed feelings about this though. They won't be able to actually "stop" the usage of Bitcoin, be it in the case that they're against it. They might just make another cryptocurrency of their own and actually there are already plenty of countries planning to make a crypto of their own, because people would just continue using any workaround to still use Bitcoin through VPNs, in cases that ISPs blocked crypto-related sites.
Here is the list that I mentioned previously: https://coinsutra.com/national-cryptocurrencies/
