1741  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: July 07, 2013, 02:06:44 AM
Ok so i've got my PI and set it up no problems,, she's not mining yet cus I bought a usb3 hub and it doesn`t work with PI lol.

I was looking at adding a screen

http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=43286

Am not very good with linux despite having a dreambox and a goflex home I still struggle with simple tasks.

Can anyone tell me if I get the screen above what would be involved in the setup/config and is there any chance a screen would be supported in the near future.

I guess the easy alternative would just be an Android App thou  Wink

P.S will be donating some mining time when new hub arrives

P.P.S I can never find this thread, would it be better in the custom mining section.
1742  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Build a miner using parts from sparkfun.com is it possible? on: July 07, 2013, 01:40:15 AM
I think BKKCoins will be selling K1 kits that you can DIY just grab a couple of Avalon chips and get soldering  Wink you'll need a some form of rework set up but there are cheap diy options...

When It rains the power can go off just for a couple minutes here and there  , also I think the wiring at my place is crap , the circuit breakers trip sometimes when I have the heaters flat out . Its super cold in Adelaide now. Its good for the devices though.

Im not complaining at all Neil , minepeon has been a godsend.

Probably is not your wiring, you are probably overloading your circuit breakers with them heaters or one has a fault. You should have more than 1 pwr circuit try spreading them out a bit and keep an eye on what circuit trips (then switch it to another circuit and see if it trips the other).

What rating are your breakers ? How many heaters?

Out for delivery
well... finally DHL has screwed up... after the 4th, they apparently have double the load to deliver...
so the status on my tracking number says delivery attempted, business closed...
interesting since business is not closed and there are many people here today.
I guess the driver is running late with other packages and decided that today, my business is closed...
I called DHL, they are trying to setup re-delivery today but it being the day after a holiday, I'm not holding my breath; I have the address of their station and will go there after 8 PM to pickup in person if all else fails.
however, i have to warn everyone that worst case scenario is me receiving them Monday 7/8/13.

make sure to take a Ice Pick with you. After you get your packages find the van that was supposed to deliver your package and shank his tires!

thank you for your suggestion, I would prefer not to resort to this measure as it will certainly limit my capacity to ship out your orders while being behind bars awaiting bail...  Grin

Ill set up a group buy for your bail  Grin
Its in the interests of the bitcoin community that canary gets owned by as many as possible, put me down for a share..
1745  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer & Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: July 05, 2013, 05:36:57 AM
My 11 arrived this morning and all is good.
The only problem am having is displaying more than 9 in cgminer, i can tell there all there just not all in the first list.
Do i need to add something to the config file?

EDIT : SOLVED a couple of restarts of cgminer done the trick

They had a little break in Hawaii so they should be well rested and ready to work hard when they arrive today,

In 7.1 shipment, there was enough for everyone to get 1 gold...
Didn't do proportional because its more fair for everyone in 7.1 to have gotten 1.
But this also means that gold is being made now, so I do expect more in 7.2 and .3  Grin
Have you received tracking info for 7.2 and 7.3 yet?
I have  Grin
Canary your a tease...Expected??? Monday?? I WANT THEM NOW  lol

http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/eecf/?srp=4

anybody know if this thing could actually power 28 (heck, even 20) of these miners at once? 4 amp power supply, i think.

i'm thinking of taking four of those and build myself a coin generating windmill just to keep it cool..thanks

4A / 0.5A  = 8

No
1759  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Request all the Mining Company supplying the Asic Miner to Consider this option! on: June 27, 2013, 02:09:20 AM
They could just build them and mine until they have covered the cost.

Then post them all to me for free...
