1521  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: September 17, 2013, 08:37:46 AM
good thread. im also thinking to opt out from my april bfl single order paid through paypal. though i paid for an upgrade using debit card sending international bank transfer. what would be the best way of not loosing the $500 i sent being a tool? thanks.
If sent with a debit card then it is probably a visa transaction  Wink talk to your bank. They will not be interested to start with but hold your ground that ur a victim of fraud and want it escalated to the crime prevention unit ( this normally does the trick )

Personally I would do the paypal charge back, it will be funny to see how they send your upgrade without a unit to upgrade.. Grin
1522  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: September 17, 2013, 08:29:02 AM
Batch 5   121  25  2,150  1AHeayd86g3zFKg71rbhdP89SKu3Vx15gD   burnin (changed to marto)

Am hoping I shall still receive these, however looks like my chips in other GB's will all be refunded.

Therefore I will be looking for 7 extra chips to make it 32.

SebJu if you can facilitate this please PM me an address and how much btc you want to cover shipping to marto as well I would be grateful..

No rush - I know how difficult this is for everybody.
1523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: September 17, 2013, 06:11:50 AM

southerngentuk, we have a new Hashing Power option that will go live tomorrow. Can't say what it is right now, but you'll see it.
1524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need a PayPal refund for your BFL purchase? on: September 17, 2013, 04:24:34 AM
Thank you for your PM, obviously this is no help for me and others who payed by bank TX/ BTC .

What we really need here now is someone with a legal perspective on consumer rights within the US to provide advice and a way forward for those remaining.

There has to be someone in this forum with such a contact.  Even if they acted on a 10 % commission fee they could do well.  Shocked

1525  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 16, 2013, 11:44:15 PM
...
I'm not sure I understand what this means for batch #1 refunds.  Forgive my density, anyone care to elaborate/explain?
Batch #1 was odrered by escrow, and he placed a refund request at Avalon (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189582.msg3119178#msg3119178), but funds are not refunded to his address yet.

Batch #2 was ordered by zefir, jointly for all EU group-buys (this, marto, bizwoo, Sebastian). Same as above: refund request placed, funds not arrived yet.

Thank you!
Now we can just relax and wait for another week (or month) until Yifu processes the refunds.

Exactly, To all those bitchin.... As soon as John K gets news am sure he will post here (that was the point of the escrow), when it is known what chips are refunded or delivered am sure steve will do the calcs and refund all he can with those who ordered pcb`s.

Just lets calm and see how it pans out. There are still people like me that will be wanting a few miners made and deals can be done once we no were the chips fall.

We all new there was some risk here, it is not the fault of any of the GB leaders and they have a huge job ahead sorting out this clusterf#ck
1526  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [WARNING] Do not sign for any BFL package you plan to get a refund on! on: September 16, 2013, 11:31:37 PM
Another root may also be not to pay the import costs, this will in most countries result in a return to sender.

Lets face it, import costs are calculated on declared value. If BFL declare the value at full paid cost this is now a lie, the goods have little significant value now.

Join me everyone

I brought a miner from the Joshman,
he put it in his sack.
Bright and early the next year,
he had my balls upon the rack.

I wrote upon it:
Return to sender, Val'ue unknown
I don't want your product, delivered to my home
We had a quarrel, a lover's spat
I write, I'm sorry but your miners coming back.
Your miner is useless, and customer service is gone.

Terrahash

You are the only one who has the klondike working ! although steamboat seams close.. Please pop over to the klondike thread and share your magic with the community.

BKK pushed the revision through based on your results that both banks were working please share how you achieve this..
1529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why the Bitcoin community HAS to save the network from HashFast, CoinTerra, BFL. on: September 16, 2013, 05:59:04 AM
Activity 1 ?
Am sure this not your first visit to the forums ?

Perhaps you should disclose your previous forum name for credibility.

That aside its a nice idea..
1530  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 16, 2013, 04:38:22 AM
Sorry, I have been out of town a bit and still catching up.

For those who have missed this from steamboat.

We do not however have a fully functioning K16 at this time.

We have organized the collaborative efforts of ourselves, two Klondike based assembly companies, and several individuals within the community with software and hardware debugging experience to troubleshoot the design. As a result, we have determined the source of and corrected the hardware flaw resulting in proof of work not being read correctly, and the units are now hashing on a single bank of 8 chips at a time. We are actively troubleshooting the firmware issue which causes errors when both banks of chips are used at the same time. We will continue to debug the design until it is fully functional, and will be sending units to several people working on the project, in addition to those we have already shipped, for further troubleshooting. Currently updating the firmware does require a PIC programmer and does not support updating via USB.

edit :  and this from    TerraHash

Update on the K64: Individual K16s are working fine. Inter-board communication (I2C) is not yet functional because BkkCoins (from whom we licensed the design) never finished the firmware and is unresponsive for over a week. I am trying to fix it, and hopefully it will be up and running soon.

Would be nice if he could share it with the community.. (someone else ask him, I don't think he likes me)
1531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 05:33:55 AM
I believe BKK had some stuff happening offline, like getting flooring done in his house and needing to rearrange everything in the house. I'm sure he'll be back when he's able.
Lets hope so.. I still don't think he will mind/or it would hurt   to have another few people working on this and contributing to each other.
1532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 05:31:36 AM
I will be working via this git

**Edit: fat fingers

https://github.com/darktongue/klondike
Great, I'll post back any responce I get from marto. Lets see if we can get you a board to work from.
If Marto does not want to give his up, what components will you need ? Am guessing the most difficult would be the pic so if anyone has a couple please step forward..  Wink
1533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 04:57:01 AM
yes lets get this done, if anyone can contribute state what and how and lets assign some tasks.

I have a pcb V 0.3.2

However Marto has a fully populated pcb ( I assume the same revision) .. maybe we could all chip in some BTC and purchase it from him.

The github is still up https://github.com/bkkcoins/klondike

last change 4 weeks ago..

Is someone with better knowledge than me able to clone the git and maintain it..

P.M sent to marto

1534  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 02:20:36 AM
Marto has populated the K16 but put it to one side whilst he finilizes his own hex16, maybe he will pick it back up when he has time however it really is not worth his while, he was planning to offer k16's so if the klondike is not ready we have an option to switch over. I am getting any chips not refunded sent to marto so I can go either way.
It is a shame I really want my Klondikes, however I do have my unpopulated original k16 final beta board.
Did no one else receive goods from BKK ?
1535  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 13, 2013, 02:09:23 AM

Im confident TH can handle it if they want to or need to Smiley
Am not so confident,
My Impression was that at some point TH hired someone who new what they were doing and he was posting with TH login regarding tech stuff.

But normal business posts seemed inconsistent on a intellectual level..  I doubt TH will pay more $$$ to finalize this with the current Avalon situation.

All pure speculation so don't flame me please.  Shocked
1536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: September 13, 2013, 01:59:18 AM
Marto has his hex16 board fully operational at very reasonable prices, I see no reason why TH can not outsource this to Marto and still turn a profit, with the exception of components and cases.

The silence from TH is concerning, perhaps TH could comment on the above.
1537  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 12, 2013, 10:52:55 PM
I saw a post earlier that stated BKK Sent them a board... Could we use that address to find out how hes doing?

Kosta

I think he has his reasons for not being present any more....

I'm sure he does, but he was paid Royalty fees for a finished board/firmware. Hopefully he will be able to just finish that up.

Thank You terrahash!

I just wanted to publicly Thank You for making a substantial license payment to me for the boards you have under way. I thought it would be good for your customers to know that you have been taking the steps to make this "officially endorsed". If you ever need my assistance I'm always here.

The impression I got was that terrahash was quite capable of completing his commitments with the progress made to date without the assistance of BKK.
I am concerned by Bkk's absence thou, not forgetting the legal standing of bitcoin in Thailand is questionable. Lets hope he's OK and will get back to us shortly.
1538  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / BG EU 2 batch CLOSED + K16 from 40 EUR on: September 12, 2013, 08:41:09 AM
Marto,

Am hoping to get any chips not refunded ( from other GB`s ) sent to you. Are you still up for this ?

Maybe this can offset the costs for those who have ordered boards and want refunds... Grin

I was hoping for k16's but i am guessing you will be just doing hex16`s ... that will be fine.
1539  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 12, 2013, 08:23:33 AM
@t13hydra
Please confirm that first batch is refunded. If so, can i use the money to purchase chips from second batch?
me to.

Also who actually holds the batch 2 order, I would like them sent to marto, seems silly to have them sent to t13 to send them on again.

Hope you GB leaders are discussing this.

Maybe best for a thread on the multi group for people to state there required recipient.
1540  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Klondike - 16 chip ASIC Open Source Board - Preliminary on: September 12, 2013, 07:53:25 AM

I'd love to get my hands dirty in this project.  I can work well with firmware and deadlines. I have Avalon Chips I just need a board minus chips or a finished bricked board.  Send one with power problems.  This project needs some fresh eyes.  I'd work we would win and I'd somehow manage to get more beer and waffles in my fridge.

I have a K16 board and PIC chip on order with BkkCoins. I'm not sure what his shipping schedule is though. If we could get him to ship that to you priority, and if you have the rest of the BOM, I'd consider letting you have a go at it.

I have an unpopulated K16 Bkk Sent me. If it is required PM me.
