Ok, in the process of installing the LCD mod am guessing most of the new minepeon stuff was updated..

CGMiner failed to restart after Donation and I think you just may have got about 8 hrs @ 7.3G...

I have been getting strange issues in putty (windoze) where it returns something like its a read-only system on occasions.

Am using cheap SD Cards so will be of to the shop today to get a better one.

Neil is there a log file I should be looking at to diagnose?

Edit : Cardcomm - I didn't think to check the display.. Is there a line in the code to display error if CGMiner fails to restart. Would be nice  Grin

This was always the issue i had with TH, they didnt seem to be making a mark up on chips, costs on boards are tight with little margin, I do hope it works out but see little room for any discount..
1643  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 06, 2013, 08:11:52 AM
Short answer is start a new screen session

Code:
screen -S display

Then run it and CTRL+A D

screen -S {name of new screen}

This works  Cheesy I had been watching it for 1/2 hr, tried to check the git for refresh rate but git was down. Just came back here and the answer is waiting for me........ Roll Eyes

If I don't add modules in my hosted Large it will be pretty much useless in 1-2 months. I won't be able to afford even the hosting expenses let alone break even...
I haven't done the figures (too scared ) but I think this is going to be a huge problem for people in the near future. Hosting eating away at your ROI and the dilemma of what to do when it goes negative. You know the minute you pull out and sell it (if your overseas and it uneconomical to ship back to you) then BTC will double  Sad .

Didnt terrahash tell us he ordered everything and had everything he needed to mass produce our units weeks ago (less the Avalon chips)?
Now we find out he didnt even have the PCB boards to populate? And still doesnt have them on hand?

And until the revisions are tested then he shouldn't, It would be best to wait for BKK's final tests on the revision before ordering them (its only a few days away).

Outside of this I think he has all his ducks in a row. Credit where its due, Its all minor details now until Avalon deliver, and there not answering the phone so no one can do anything but wait.

Thank you Terra for your support of BKKCoins

I think .05 is fine risk/time/packaging/postage  you might even say it too cheap.

Always hurts for the international buyers with the high cost of fedex thou. ( although its great service )

Would be great if Canary could throw us a bone.  (maybe allow us to top up our promo`s with 0.5 units to make package upto 14 units  Wink )

If possible please comment so I can get coins ready..
1649  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 05, 2013, 11:25:55 PM

Open notepad:

1.Go to your "receive coins" button, click it,copy & paste that addy in notepad. This is YOUR wallet addy, any BTC sent to it will end up in your wallet & no one else's.
I only have one receive addy,if you have more than one...........I don't think it matters, just pick one.Someone correct me if I'm wrong

2.Now,go to "transactions" button, click it, find the transaction you want to sign, right click on it & click on "show details".Copy & paste the "Transaction ID" in notepad.

3.Your ready to sign a message,go to "file",upper left corner, click it & click "sign message".

4.Copy & paste YOUR wallet addy in line 1.........In the body copy & paste the "Transaction ID".Put your info in there too, what the BTC was sent for & how much (EXACT amount),name, shipping address,etc...

5.Click "sign message" on the bottom,it will generate a unique ID #.Now copy & paste the info from all 3 sections in an email or PM,keep them seperate in the email (don't just bunch em together) & volia!!!!

You just signed a message  Grin

point 1.. This worked for me the first time, then I looked an ass Grin , always double check the blockchain after sending a transaction to confirm your address before signing an message, It wasted so much time for group buys chasing payments..

if you think you have got it,  you can do this in reverse.  VERIFY A MESSAGE

Address : 1DononEbNw8traGfgQpvkV99tRPkat8H7t

start message-----------
This is the message southerngent signed.
end message------------

Signature : HCjjSUOpvoK7HkSvwqc687hHiLwfw8GEaV2wmNuAg8ErQ6Mb58JAhFtuyC9OonjUm9nBs5kbilaaxWc 8Nff4c7Y=

Try it.. then when you have signed a message you can verify it. Only you can sign a message with your address but anyone can verify it..

What does any of this have to do with Terrahash??
Your right, Nothing,Its just helping people out, off topic i know... However there`s nothing else going on here for a longgg while so I think its ok  Wink

I've also had 2 successful group buys, and the most recent was probably the best service I've ever had from buying something online.

As MinePeon can send alert messages, as I see in last "beta" version. I tried that feature, with smtp.gmail.com:465 as SMTP server, but I think it would need also a "password" field, to use gmail as sending address.

Not everyone has a gmail account, everyone has an ISP though, just use their SMTP server.

Ahhh, thats how to do it...          lol@me

I really like the board stock status. I believe with this way all order will easily fulfilled without component & board stock problem that cause by late shipping or out of stock from supplier.  Smiley

Just order 2 HEX16. First board with full chip & second board with only 4 chip  Wink

I was wondering if you should put in a comments box on the order page for this. If you are intending to part populate boards?
1658  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 05, 2013, 05:26:31 AM
I will answer all the questions asked below as FAQ here:

Q. Are you going to design your own PCBs?
A. No, we will be using BkkCoins' Klondike design. We are already in talks with him for a bulk order. But of course, we are still waiting for specs from Avalon, before he can finish the design.

Huh
wow thats old...yes they are using his design complete with royalty's...but are having their own boards printed from that design locally,,,at least now they are,,,I remember that faq....lol....I think there has been a lot of twist and turns for TH,,,,, putting it lightly.. Smiley

Plus they have a full k16 already hashing....beyond that does it really matter who makes he boards? they got it now Smiley

BKK I believe has received the revision board and is populating it by hand ( probably as I type, it took him 6hrs last time i believe)

Am sure/hope TeraHash is waiting for the results of the revisions before ordering new pcb`s ( there is no point in anyone else doing this until bkk`s is working )

Were at the mercy of Avalon now  Angry

Hey gang, (KL and S.gent) thx for the info on canary....super prices! and he sure seems solid with trust! Now if i can just figure out how to send and sign etc,,,lol, but its all there I just need to study his thread again, can't be that hard Smiley

How to sign, post # 410,if the link does not take you to it:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195052.msg2087551#msg2087551

Just change the body of the letter to state what you want, its a great example  Cool

The bitcoin address you sent the payment from is ANY address you RECIEVE BTC with to YOUR wallet  Wink

Just copy & paste the 3 fields in an email or PM & your done!!!!  Grin

Hey I just read through that..its a good example. I may have a question still about this part: where am I generating this address from?

In line 1 - enter the bitcoin address you sent the payment from

I that my address for payment to canary (his receive address) ?

Ill look at it more later got to go get supper for me and my son... Smiley
thx Unacceptable,,,great link!

EDIT: I think I just saw my answer in your post,,,that address would be any receive address generated in my own wallet,,,same as if i was generating an address for receiving payment from a pool etc...
Exactly  Wink
I use the addy from my pool, which I've used since June 2011.It's been a steady addy & is easy to find in my wallet & on my pool account page Grin

No problem,I was confused as hell till I found that guys post  Grin
its becoming clearer...lol, thx again man! so you just use the same address over and over for receive coin,,,for the signature part? (line 1)
when signing...

the address you use for the signature should be the address you sent coin from (you need to check the block change transaction to get the address use http://blockchain.info/ or http://blockexplorer.com/) enter you transaction id in the search and you will find the address ( or addresses, use either one)  e.g. my transaction id was ----     fc3180a4cc196558890bb5e884685464c2d27980beca322bf1f1cfd4dbebdaf9
this returns with my address >>>>>>>>>>   1DononEbNw8traGfgQpvkV99tRPkat8H7t
and that is the address to sign with..

Try it with my transaction then do the same for yours  Grin

Hi everyone,

I'm Thomas, developing an angular UI for MinePeon :-)
Am Guessing this is in relation to Neils post >>>>>

At he moment the WebUI is getting a lot of attention, AngularJS (http://angularjs.org/) is being introduced as a proper application frame work and it has mobile extensions.

Backups and restores are also coming up in the next versions as well as better process management of the miners.

Neil

In which case Big welcome to Thomas, cant wait to see what you come up with...
