I'm experiencing some weird behavior with version 2.1 of Minepeon.
alternate SD you could try. It happened to me as well, I thought I was going nuts! Your SD card is going bad, you are not going insane. If you reflash it might fix it (for now) but next time your in town pick up a new one. Neil Had the same happening to me today.

Thanks for the comments. I should have added (and almost did) that it was really hard flashing the SD Card. It took me like 6 tries to get it to work. I even re-downloaded the image to be safe. I used both, command line tools as well as two Gui tools (SD Formatter & RPi-sd card builder v1.2) - problems with both. It was a cheap card. I still have the old version on another (great card). I'll reflash that one as it doesn't appear to be a problem with MinePeon.
Hope that helped a few others out as well.
Appreciated, IAS

... make sure you buy Class 10 SDs Any problems writing to the card are caused by you not doing that.

When It rains the power can go off just for a couple minutes here and there , also I think the wiring at my place is crap , the circuit breakers trip sometimes when I have the heaters flat out . Its super cold in Adelaide now. Its good for the devices though.
Im not complaining at all Neil , minepeon has been a godsend.
Probably is not your wiring, you are probably overloading your circuit breakers with them heaters or one has a fault. You should have more than 1 pwr circuit try spreading them out a bit and keep an eye on what circuit trips (then switch it to another circuit and see if it trips the other). What rating are your breakers ? How many heaters?

I never used to believe that, SD class is about the speed that you can write to it and not about reliability. Since than I have proved myself wrong several times with bizarre results every time. Neil

Ok so i've got my PI and set it up no problems,, she's not mining yet cus I bought a usb3 hub and it doesn`t work with PI lol. I was looking at adding a screen http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=43286Am not very good with linux despite having a dreambox and a goflex home I still struggle with simple tasks. Can anyone tell me if I get the screen above what would be involved in the setup/config and is there any chance a screen would be supported in the near future. I guess the easy alternative would just be an Android App thou P.S will be donating some mining time when new hub arrives P.P.S I can never find this thread, would it be better in the custom mining section.

I'm waiting for my Pi, but I was looking at getting this screen for around $30 : http://coldtearselectronics.wikispaces.com/USB+LCD+-+LCD+System+infoThen writing a python script that pulls the hash rate, accepts, rejects, etc from the cgminer api, then write it to the screen, kind of like this setup : http://www.gregledet.net/?p=668

Its more complected than you would think, The Raspberry PI has limited GPIO's (General Purpose Input Output) and even the ones it has are incredibly slow. It does have a SPI interface though....... and is there any chance a screen would be supported in the near future. Nope, don't expect anything. However, if you looked at my workbench you might get a clue as to what I am up to . I guess the easy alternative would just be an Android App thou Working on one of those too. P.P.S I can never find this thread, would it be better in the custom mining section.
I know right? The mod's think it is funny to keep moving this this thread from topic to topic, I think it should be in Bitcoin > Mining but I bow to their greater wisdom (Because I have no choice). Neil

... ah ... every time I've seen someone say they want to add a direct hardware device for the screen I've thought USB ... there's got to be a simple USB solution. OK, this I have to get ... OK ebay ... paid and awaiting delivery! I did write the whole cgminer API so ... Expect either a script or a cgminer change soon after it arrives on my doorstep Edit: actually ... since it will work on ANY computer ... and I also did write the usbutils library in cgminer ... hmmmm ... I think this would be nice to have it hot-pluggable ... as a cgminer display Edit2: I wonder if there is a common interface how these things work (i.e. others that may exist)

Yep saw that. I'm just wondering if others (are there others?) use a similar USB protocol ... though I've not even looked at this one yet. Yes will be cool to see cgminer stats on an independent display. Though, you can probably also blame Ika Musume for the excitement

Neil Thanks for the suggestions guys. That looks like it did the trick. I copied the image to my Class 10 SD card and walla, the graphs are back, no more dead kitty's and I can save the date settings. Go with those Class 10 SD cards to be safe. Appreciated, IAS

Ok, also bought one. I only hope Neil also buys one and adapts MinePeon to use it... Well, unless I don't have the time when it arrives, I'd probably go to the trouble of making it hot pluggable for cgminer anyway - so as long as you are running cgminer it would see it and display info on it. But we'll see what happens when it arrives

When making the program, please let it configure a remote IP, instead 127.0.0.1, as we can put it in another RPI (I for instance have 3) to display the info from cgminer of the one mining...

The only issue I see with the PI is that the usb ports can only provide for ~150ma, I wonder if that is too low to power the screen and if it will need to be hooked up to a powered hub.
