1421  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 25, 2013, 12:05:32 AM
Since BFL are now brazenly refusing refunds then holding orders, should bitcointalk be giving them a scammer tag.

I'm pretty sure stealing people's money and refusing to ship orders qualifies them for one, shipping delays are bad enough but actually refusing to send purchased items AND keeping the money??

Not going to happen all the time there supporting the forums with advertising.

It's all so wrong  Angry
1422  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [TONIGHT] ASICMiner 49 port hubs! In Stock, ready to ship! on: October 25, 2013, 12:02:25 AM
could you post dimensions also.

1423  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Someone on reddit says that BFL has been unresponsive. Is BFL insolvent? on: October 24, 2013, 09:40:25 PM
Sometimes I wonder what questions people ask them to get no answers. All 4 or 5 mails I sent them were answered within one hour. With no exception. Not that I'm a fanboy. Their delays and lies have cost me lots of BTC...
At a guess, first mention of refund gets you a standard email response and your address put on the black list.

No responses from then on..
1424  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Sorry, More rant about BFL (My story) on: October 24, 2013, 10:56:53 AM
Thanks for info atmclikk, Much appreciated.

This started on Oct 2nd, It's been more than 10 days and the order still has not been reverted, So I dont know what's going on.

I really did think about how this would all sound before I posted, I really did not want to come across as a whiner, I did it because I wanted to back up people who have had bad luck with customer services.

I always tried to stay neutral about BFL, I really did stay out the way of this subject for a long time, I never jumped on any bandwagon, I wanted to show how "long term" customers were being treated.
+1 lets give him a brake.

I personally found the bfl website before bitcointalk. That has cost me 3k. Every post on bfl is needed to highlight just how bad from all perspectives the situation is.

Some have done well, but most have been shafted. Let people post there tales so people new to bitcoin  can be informed.
1425  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 24, 2013, 10:25:44 AM
For those that purchased boards through the website.

Lets not forget Steve received about 800 chips from Zefir, enough for 50 boards..

Just sayin thats all. Am sure he will be refunding those 50 boards shortly..
1426  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 24, 2013, 09:53:41 AM

So he used our (B2) money to fund his own stuff, great! Batch 1 did get refunded, did not?
Yeh, batch 1 was refunded by John. Which gave him back the coin to refund batch 2.

I can actually see how this happened, he assumed batch 1 would refund first, so it should have been cool.

Would of been nice if he had come clean instead of going Awol for 2 weeks.
1427  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [ASICMINER] [Block Erupter USB 0.035BTC , Blades 1.1 BTC] [Australia/NZ] on: October 24, 2013, 08:07:31 AM
Blade arrived today. Thats less than 24 hrs for delivery  Shocked . BFL should hire you.  Roll Eyes

Anyways, I had some hassles, after bench testing whilst i worked out how to set it up on a PI, I went to put it in its new home, fired up my psu and nothing  Angry

Turns out the fuse holder wasn't soldered on one side to the pcb. I had to remove the holder and solder the fuse direct.

No Problem for me but wanted to let you know in case others have problems.

Anyway all is good.  Grin

Hey Barntech,

If you want to provide us the other forum and use it, gotta clean it up a bit.
i cant see a fuckn thing the whole first page is spam!

might have to resort in those silly screen captcha things where you type in the numbers/word in the picture.
Damn, whats with the spambots, why the attraction to our forums ?
1429  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: October 23, 2013, 11:10:19 PM
I've now asked for a refund on the chips.

What happens if t13hydra doesn't come though? Does john K refund to me?

Sorry, the escrow was broken when steve started taking website orders and also when the group buys were combined.
No one knows but steve who owns what chips from the website orders.

John done his bit when he released the funds to zerif. As best I can tell Zerif then refunded part of the coin back to Steve`s private address not john k's group buy address, the rest of the coin Steve used for his own chips.

Unfortunately the coin Steve used on his chip purchase from zerif was batch 2's not his.
This is why he disappeared for 2 weeks. Because his coin was in batch 1 and batch 2 was refunded first !

He needed to wait for the batch 1 refund to cover the coin he borrowed from batch 2 for his chips.

Tin foil hat removed, carry on.
1430  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TechnoBit Eastern Europe, BG HEX16A 7 GH/s/Платки имонтаж на Авалон чип on: October 23, 2013, 10:00:16 PM

AFAIK, 99% of all HEX16A orders are shipped !!!

I am the 1%  Shocked

Usps Tracking of my chips has been stalled for 5 days now.  Angry

Hoping the mini plane is good for 12V as well as 5V.   Wink
1432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Reliable? on: October 23, 2013, 06:19:43 AM
Refund denied - Still Waiting

Almost considering joining the Cloud Fu*king Ponzi Pyramid Scam
1433  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I like BFL, DO YOU ??? on: October 23, 2013, 01:42:50 AM
Guaranteed oversight by BFL. You too easily give them credit. Free GH is not a BFL customer satisfaction tactic. Some other poor mark who paid for 7 GH just got a 4.5 GH Jala  Roll Eyes
And I bet will get no answer from customer service, he will be just ignored till he gives up.
1434  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - 2.7 GH/s thumbs 0.65 BTC, 21.7 GH/s boards 2 BTC on: October 23, 2013, 12:25:02 AM
Is it possible to run the 8 board on raspberry pi?
With the latest cgminer it should be fine. However I would recommend a dedicated PI. Minepeon has been having some difficulties with CGminer and some hardware (this may or may not be sorted before drillbit becomes available) and is therefore running BFGminer by default (can be switched back to CG). Also I think overclocking maybe easier with a dedicated pi. So from a hassle point of view just buy an extra PI.

Maybe Kano can throw some more light on the subject, I miss CGminer but its unstable for me on my setup at his time.
1435  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 7.5GH miner to UK and EU for £399 on: October 22, 2013, 07:57:56 AM
£100.  Serious offer.

I think you should take this, it maybe the best offer you get.  Shocked
1436  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: End of Big Miners on: October 22, 2013, 07:52:34 AM
$197 is also not $200, just like $190 isn't.

I remain correct in my earlier assessment.

Additionally, I further portend that anyone with more brains than greed in their heads will sell their BTC now and buy up LiteCoin while its price is depressed a bit.  The BTC surge is peaking right now, while LTC is down!  Time to buy and ride the LTC wave!!!!! Grin

And because I have 200 LTC now and needs its price to 100x increase so I can make money on it. Roll Eyes

1437  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group buy] Avalon chips Escrow John K / Please check refund list until Sunday on: October 22, 2013, 07:44:00 AM
And let's look at that OP

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=217316.0

"So Let's
set a dead line Sunday 18:00 GMT
Please, check refund list  before that.
All requested refunds will be processed by Jhon.K
The rest coins will be transferred to Zefir in exchange for delivering rest of the chips to me.
All these chips will be here ready either for assembly or delivery by your wish."

Which Sunday?

The Op was dated May 27th

You never said which Sunday so I say its Sunday 10/27/13

I want a refund.

You screwed this up, didn't PM anyone.
Didn't say what Sunday was the deadline.

Want me to stop complaining send me my BTC

You could get ur chips mounted and still have a miner.  Wink or sell them for $28  Tongue
1438  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YES, you can get a REFUND from BFL on: October 22, 2013, 03:44:03 AM
Has anyone successfully sued bfl?  I'm wondering if I can sue locally in small claims or if I have to fly to Kansas?  I paid in bitcoin and they refuse to refund.
There has been threads, but little interest. Feel free to try again, there maybe more interest now we are well passed the September failure.

I would personally join in, however we need some legal connections in the US which I am not..
1439  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BFL 7.5GH miner to UK and EU for £399 on: October 22, 2013, 03:21:40 AM
Why? I can buy 2 Jalas from the BFL website for that price.
or a 10G/H Blade
1440  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: October 22, 2013, 01:23:03 AM
They had options. They could have done a deal with Marto or Burnin to complete there orders, or refund.

They have chosen the third option instead. Run away with the cash/coins.  Shocked
