That is a sidetrack. Start a new thread about the bitfury.

Bkk brought it up not me Cheesy I'm trying to remember what was the reason for delaying the signal? I haven't looked into the communication protocol too much I just glanced over it. Is the plan to use two nor gates on the final design? I haven't looked at any of the updated files I may do that now.

Tongue

I know.

Damn him still drooling.

I am more interested in what hub I can bundle with a Raspberry Pi and still overclock the K1 Nanos what is possible because I have giant tub of mineral oil, a pretty heat exchanger, cooling tower and some pumps and a beautiful baby blue fiberglass tank I want to dunk them in.

Yeah did you end up posting that complete mineral oil solution you've got there in that other thread? I'm interested in knowing the parts I'd need.

Also, I plan on putting together a guide on turning the RPI into a miner host, with the added bonus of a $20 RGB 128x64px LCD for monitoring, with keypad. Its Gonna be a fun project while I wait for this board to finish Smiley

I saw that RPI miner host project - looks like a blast. I was just filling my shopping cart on adafruit for that last night. Gotta go back and order it Smiley
http://learn.adafruit.com/piminer-raspberry-pi-bitcoin-miner/

I was inspired by that project as well, however I will be using Graphic ST7565 Negative LCD (128x64) http://www.adafruit.com/products/438 instead. I want to be able to display moving graphs among other things Smiley

Hold fire boys, check this thread before buying........

Ok so i've got my PI and set it up no problems,, she's not mining yet cus I bought a usb3 hub and it doesn`t work with PI lol.

I was looking at adding a screen

I'm waiting for my Pi, but I was looking at getting this screen for around $30 :

http://coldtearselectronics.wikispaces.com/USB+LCD+-+LCD+System+info

Then writing a python script that pulls the hash rate, accepts, rejects, etc from the cgminer api, then write it to the screen, kind of like this setup :

http://www.gregledet.net/?p=668
... ah ... every time I've seen someone say they want to add a direct hardware device for the screen I've thought USB ... there's got to be a simple USB solution.

OK, this I have to get Smiley

... OK ebay ... paid and awaiting delivery!

I did write the whole cgminer API so ...
Expect either a script or a cgminer change soon after it arrives on my doorstep Cheesy

Edit: actually ... since it will work on ANY computer ... and I also did write the usbutils library in cgminer ... hmmmm ... I think this would be nice to have it hot-pluggable ... as a cgminer display Cheesy

Edit2: I wonder if there is a common interface how these things work (i.e. others that may exist)

Well now your on-board I best order one before they go out of stock !!!

Edit : ordered, ebay link --->   http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121004607232
924  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is there a Fork!!! on: July 07, 2013, 08:27:55 AM
Blocks are sometimes found in quick succession, no "fork" required.  Some pool payment schemes, when they don't have anyone else to pay just become proportional and pay the recent miners.

I see, nice for the guy who got 2 x 7btc  Wink
925  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Is there a Fork!!! on: July 07, 2013, 07:51:38 AM
Ok am a newbie to mining so please be gentle...

Just got my first payout from pool x2

from 2 blocks 20 mins apart.

If you look at the 2 blocks they have identical payment address with slightly variation in payment amounts..

Am not very good with linux despite having a dreambox and a goflex home I still struggle with simple tasks.

Can anyone tell me if I get the screen above what would be involved in the setup/config and is there any chance a screen would be supported in the near future.

I guess the easy alternative would just be an Android App thou  Wink

P.S will be donating some mining time when new hub arrives

P.P.S I can never find this thread, would it be better in the custom mining section.
928  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Build a miner using parts from sparkfun.com is it possible? on: July 07, 2013, 01:40:15 AM
I think BKKCoins will be selling K1 kits that you can DIY just grab a couple of Avalon chips and get soldering  Wink you'll need a some form of rework set up but there are cheap diy options...

When It rains the power can go off just for a couple minutes here and there  , also I think the wiring at my place is crap , the circuit breakers trip sometimes when I have the heaters flat out . Its super cold in Adelaide now. Its good for the devices though.

Im not complaining at all Neil , minepeon has been a godsend.

Probably is not your wiring, you are probably overloading your circuit breakers with them heaters or one has a fault. You should have more than 1 pwr circuit try spreading them out a bit and keep an eye on what circuit trips (then switch it to another circuit and see if it trips the other).

What rating are your breakers ? How many heaters?

Out for delivery
well... finally DHL has screwed up... after the 4th, they apparently have double the load to deliver...
so the status on my tracking number says delivery attempted, business closed...
interesting since business is not closed and there are many people here today.
I guess the driver is running late with other packages and decided that today, my business is closed...
I called DHL, they are trying to setup re-delivery today but it being the day after a holiday, I'm not holding my breath; I have the address of their station and will go there after 8 PM to pickup in person if all else fails.
however, i have to warn everyone that worst case scenario is me receiving them Monday 7/8/13.

make sure to take a Ice Pick with you. After you get your packages find the van that was supposed to deliver your package and shank his tires!

thank you for your suggestion, I would prefer not to resort to this measure as it will certainly limit my capacity to ship out your orders while being behind bars awaiting bail...  Grin

Ill set up a group buy for your bail  Grin
Its in the interests of the bitcoin community that canary gets owned by as many as possible, put me down for a share..
931  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer & Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: July 05, 2013, 05:36:57 AM
My 11 arrived this morning and all is good.
The only problem am having is displaying more than 9 in cgminer, i can tell there all there just not all in the first list.
Do i need to add something to the config file?

(windows 7)

EDIT : SOLVED a couple of restarts of cgminer done the trick

My G7 has not arrived either.

They had a little break in Hawaii so they should be well rested and ready to work hard when they arrive today,
this is not unusual, do not worry about shipping updates  and stay calm.  Grin

EDIT: Arrived and mining  Grin Thanks Canary...  No Gold ones thou  Shocked
