None of the big4 accept Bitcoin, coinjar bitcoin exchange (also created by a scammer) was using NAB.
For the mainstream in Australia (other than self righteous hipsters) Bitcoin is done for.
Am not convinced coinjar is a scam. I was just about to buy some coin through them but other financials got in the way so I pulled my funds back without problem. I did find them really slow on both the deposit and withdraw and there prices lag a lot, so i would not go as far to recommend them. But scam maybe a little strong. Don't ignore who created coinjar, check who the owners are. One of the largest Bitcoin scammers in history owns it. Would you trust mark karp if he opened a new exchange? I don't think so But people forget history too soon. Coinjar are scamming Australians, why do people still trust scammers? Amazes me Is there a scam thread on them you can link to.

cd bin - change directory to the bin folder you just unzipped cd 64 (or 32 depending on your processor) - change directory again to one of two directories inside /bitcoin-blahblahblah/bin/ ./bitcoin-qt - execute the binary file you don't need anything in the src directory, because you want to run a pre-compiled binary (kind of the linux equivalent to a windows .exe file). everything in the src directory is for that. http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=making_a_qt_wallet_work_in_ubuntu_12.04Thanks, I had resolved the issue by moving bitcoin-qt to the correct directory however this was really helpful in my understanding.

Give it access to private key in chunks of 64k at a time... He just asking for them until he get it all and put it back together... I was syncing my wallet to send BTC to cold storage... It is firewalled computer used only for this so I guess all this doesn't help at all with this bug. https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA14-098AI really trying hard to get this, but I can't. Was your wallet not encrypted ? Surely if it was this would not be possible, even with this flaw ? Sorry for your loss

If you are using the graphical version of 0.9.0 on any platform, you must update immediately. If you are using packages from your Linux distro (Ubuntu PPA included), 0.9.1 has no changes for you. Instead, you must upgrade to a fixed OpenSSL version. So if libssl1.0.0 has been updated then all is good and we can still use 0.9.0 ? Just be sure it's updated to a fixed version. Looks good link for others :- http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-2165-1/

Is there a quick guide to install this ? I have just switched from windows to Ubuntu, Help! I got 0.9.0 installed via PPA but the PPA is not updated yet ( + I would like to know how to do it without) I have :- Downloaded bitcoin-0.9.1-linux.tar.gzThen tar xvzf bitcoin-0.9.1-linux.tar.gz
This gives me a folder with bin + src but no ./configure. src has but that fails. Obviously I just don't get it

Would you really want to feed your miner(s) worth thousands of dollars that nasty power? That Nasty power would be 12V DC from a battery.. Your Miners will love it

You can submit GBT blocks to the network yourself, not stratum blocks.
I do some checks against block withholding, although there is high variance in these checks for obvious reasons.
Working on namecoins now.
Please do this ASAP, not because I care, but because it gets asked on every damn page and that is getting slightly annoying.

Perhaps this is an unintended consequence of the US classification that BTC is property.. If its property why shouldn't ebay let you sell it ?

Yes looks like a strong rally brewing one of those no looking back types. Statements from exchanged assuring customers that there is no ban YET is bringing back confidence
Personally I haven't purchased any coins in this downtrend as I already purchased what I considered enough is the last time we hit $400
Hi have read a confirmed report on a 5-hour-old website that PBOC is definitely planning on replacing the Yuan with bitcoin. This will happen by next month. Reddit confirms it. Buy now and HODL and you will be a bitcoin billionaire by May. Could you link your sources? Sounds crazy that china would replace yuan with bitcoin I got it from 1april.com ^^^^ Confirmed

>If I disable my wifi, how will I connect to the internet?
Ethernet cable from your Antminer to the Router.
Oh, do you have to go through your router? You can't connect directly to your PC? Connecting to your PC is just to set it correctly for your home network. Once it is on your home network (via ethernet or wifi) its independent of your computer. If you have it connected to your pc and your pc is connected via wifi to the net, you could do it that way, its a bit of a dirty fix.. On Win7 Network and sharing center choose Change adapter setting select your network and right click on bridge connections. That should work.. It really is a stupid way of doing it though. search for dogies guide on here and read it again...
